The Grow and Glow podcast is an absolute gem that I stumbled upon while browsing through MINDS. As someone whose wife was diagnosed with alopecia in 2020, the title of this podcast immediately captivated me. I clicked on the link, hoping to find something that could inspire and educate our community about hair growth and restoration. And let me tell you, this podcast does not disappoint.

One of the best aspects of The Grow and Glow podcast is its ability to deliver a well-constructed message that resonates with its listeners. The hosts tackle various topics related to hair growth with grace, empathy, and a deep understanding of the struggles people face when dealing with hair loss or other hair-related issues. The content is thoughtfully curated and provides easy-to-follow tips and tricks that can be implemented by anyone on their own hair growth journey. Not only does it address physical aspects like hair care routines and products but also emphasizes the importance of mental health and self-confidence in relation to one's hair.

Another noteworthy aspect of this podcast is its inclusivity. The preview alone showcases a commitment to representing diverse backgrounds, which is refreshing and much-needed in today's world. It's evident that the hosts have taken great care in ensuring that everyone feels seen and heard, regardless of their race, gender, or background. This inclusivity creates a safe space where listeners can relate to each other's experiences while gaining valuable insight into their own specific hair concerns.

While it's difficult to find any major flaws in The Grow and Glow podcast, one minor aspect that could be improved upon is the frequency of episode releases. As someone eager to listen more after hearing the engaging trailer, I found myself longing for more episodes at once. However, this could simply be due to my excitement rather than an actual flaw in the production itself.

In conclusion, The Grow and Glow podcast is an exceptional addition to any playlist for anyone seeking inspiration, tips, and support in their hair growth journey. Its well-constructed message and empathetic approach make it a valuable resource for individuals struggling with hair loss or other hair-related issues. The inclusive nature of the podcast ensures that listeners from diverse backgrounds feel represented and understood. Overall, this podcast is a must-listen and deserves recognition for its ability to deliver an uplifting and informative experience to its audience.

That said, they can be very irritating and we tend to trivialize just using the bare minimum to support our skin barrier. ABOUT TODAY's EPISODE Hi everyone! This season is packed with "gbas gbos" - not sure how to explain the latter to my non Nigerian listeners. Let's just say we are debunking myths in hair care as we reach for healthy hair. We will explore common hair problems such as hair fall, dandruff and split ends, and see if these hair care practices we are avoiding, could actually help mitigate these. Even though heat styling gets a bad reputation, we will talk about how heat styling might not be the enemy, and how you can grow long healthy hair with heat styling. In this episode, we show how heat styling can reduce single strand knots, smooth the cuticle and increase length retention. It is important to know that wet hair is hair in its most fragile state. So wet hair CAN lead to decreased length retention through promotion of single strand knots, cuticle lifting, tangling and breakage As usual, we will be debunking these hair care myths with scientific evidence Heat styling is not for everyone so take what you need and skip the rest. That said, if you have coily hair and have struggled with retaining length and you need a hair growth tip, try this and let me know. When embarking on heat styling as a way of retaining length in our hair growth journey, it is important to use heat responsibly. Use of a heat protectant is important. Consider investing in heat tools that use lower temperatures to achieve smoother hair. For example, Dyson hair dryers and Rev Air are great. So come back next week as we do a deep dive.
