For better or worse, The Johnny Dare Morning Show has been waking up Kansas City since 1993. You would think we could find a better show by now! You never know what might happen when Johnny, Jake, Gregg, T-Bone, and Nycki fire-up weekdays from 6 till 10am. Enjoy some of their best bits, parody songs…
Legendary rock bassist Rudy Sarzo has been part of some of the most commercially successful rock acts ever...Quiet Riot Whitesnake, Dio and, of course, Ozzy Osbourne...and with the final Ozzy/Black Sabbath show coming up in Birmingham this July, it's only fitting that Rudy be a part of it all. And we caught up with him this morning to find out more!
Our friend and local boy Rob Riggle is on a hell of a run right now...not only was he part of the huge SNL 50th anniversary celebration...but he's gearing up for the 16th annual Big Slick Celebrity Weekend to raise money for Children's Mercy Hospital, and this year promises to be bigger tham ever!!
David Draiman is, without question, one of the most recognizable frontmen in modern heavy metal. And on top of all of that, he's also one of the most compelling people in the music industry. And with their 25th Anniversary tour for their debut album “The Sickness” kicking off next week, and a new single out today, we caught up with the man himself this morning!
It's no secret that we here on the Morning Show hold astronauts in the highest regard. And EVERY chance we get to meet/talk to one is ALWAYS a good day! And today we got to meet retired astronaut Dottie Metcalf-Lindenburger, whose story of her kid who loved space to actually becoming an astronaut is an amazing one! And she's coming to KC for Planet Comicon next month!!
We love Sevendust frontman Lajon Witherspoon, not only because he's one of the fiercest frontmen in rock and roll, but also because he's a real as real gets. He's a devoted husband, father a nd friend...and he is a total enabler when it comes to our hoarder/collector tendencies!! We caught up with our friend this morning right befire he heads out on another tour!!
Colorado Springs resident Benji Dezaval has been making headlines because he's opened up his basement to a congregation of 300 as the Psychedelic Church of Colorado Springs, where parishioners can receive a sacrament of shrooms!...and we found out all about it from the man himself!
Dead Daisies frontman has been a friend of this show since even before his brief tenure in Motely Crue...and few rockstars have a crazier story that he does...and today we just scratched the surface of that, we talked about what's up with the Dead Daisies and more!
Former Dirty Jobs host Mike Rowe is on a mission...a mission to rebuild the skilled trade workforce...and he's doing so through with his Mike Rowe Works Foundation...putting money to good use to make the trades as important to American youth as they once were...and we talked to him all about it this morning!
Long time Friend of the Show, Lzzy Hale of Halestorm is a real as real gets...and the fact that she and the band have been asked to take part in the Ozzy/Black Sabbath farewell who in Birmingham England this July...well, we couldn't be prouder of our friend.
Many don't know that Impractical Jokers star Brian Quinn used to be a fire fighter in NYC! They also probably don't know that he got arrested once at Oktoberfest in Germany! We talked about all that and more this moring!
Smithville MO native Mandy Horvath is, in short, a total bad ass. After tragically losing both legs in 2014, she has grabbed headlines for he climbs of Mt Kilimanjaro, Pike's Peak and more. And now she's gearing up for biggest challenge yet, appearing on Discovery's "Naked & Afraid"!
Musician Tim Montana has quickly become a friend of this show, not only because his latest album, Savage, is amazing, but because his real life story has to be heard to be believed! He hung out with us in the studio and today and it was quickly apparent that he's definitely one of us!
Oh sure, Valentine's Day is a week away...but there's another, less publicized holiday the day before...National Mistress Day!! Which is also the day most people get busted!! We talked to private investigator Carey Torrice this morning, and she had some stories!!
With the Super Bowl coming up on Sunday, Americans are estimated to bet over $1 BILLION on the game...and to help us navigate those murky waters, and to help us not lose our asses, we turn to a man so tied to sports handicapping that Hollywood made the movie "Two For The Show" on him!!
We're headin' in to Super Bowl weekend and the haters are hatin'...crank this one up and let 'em know how you feel!!
After centuries of men using whatever was on hand to lube up for masturbation...hand lotion, their own tears, blood...ok, maybe not blood...but FINALLY there's a jerk lube for the discerning gentleman....Dr. Tuggs!!
When you wanna know about what it's like to actually play in the Super Bowl, it's best to ask an expert...so today we talked to former Chiefs Defensive End Jared Allen who, while playing for the Carolina Panthers, played in Super Bowl 50! And as always, Jared had a lot to say!!
Coming off of last Sunday's Cook Off Clash, NASCAR legend and Friend of the Show has a VERY busy next couple of weeks on tap. Not only is he heading to NOLA to cheer on his favorite team, The Chiefs, at the Super Bowl, but then he has to turn right around and head to Florida for the legendary Daytona 500!! Ol' Clint's liver is gonna need a vacation!
Your Kansas City Chiefs are heading to the Super Bowl next week and there's no one better to get fill us in on all of the latest than the voice of the Chiefs, Mitch Holthus!
Las Vegas ice cream truck owner/operator Billy Settlemyers made headlines this week after some dumbass on posted a video on TikTok mistakenly identifying his truck as an ICE vehicle, claiming he was trying to lure unsuspecting immigrants into his truck...and we talked to Billy about all the stupidity this morning!!
Most first met Gilby Clarke when he replaced Izzy Stradlin on tour with Guns n Roses...a position he filled from '91-'94...but we've been fans since his previous band Kill For Thrills, through his work with Slash's Snakepit and more....and now he's filling in for Nita Strauss for a run of dates with Alice Cooper!! And we got the chance to catch up with him this morning!
Tim Montana is a fairly new name to the listeners of this station, but he's quickly become a good friend of the show...not only because he's a fantastic singer/guitarist/songwriter, but because he's one of us...he's a real as it gets...and he's got a lot of stories to tell!
The Chiefs take on the Bills for the AFC CHAMPIONSHIP on Sunday!! Crank up this week's fight song!!!
It's been a minute since we've talked to our cold friend, comedian/actor Robert Kelly...but with him coming into the Comedy Club of KC this weekend...we decided it was time to catch up...and we quickly found out that he's still as amazingly fucked up as ever!!
Friend of the Show and Impractical Jokers star James "Murr" Murray might as well move to KC at this point. Between coming in for The Big Slick, filming a movie here last October, and returning for Big Slick this year and doing stand up at Funny Bone this may...he's practically a hometown boy at this point!
It's been a few years since Twisted Sister frontman Dee Snider announced that he was retiring...and since then, all of that free time has resulted in solo albums, books, movie deals and a whole lot more...so much for retirement!!
Doug Stanhope is the kind of comedian that you either are completely terrified of what's going to come out of his mouth, or the type that you will follow to the end of the earth...and with his new special "Discount Meat" he's proven that point even more. From murder enthusiasts, tripper tourism and everything in between, Stanhope proves he's still at the top of his game!
We've known Rudy Reyes, star of the FOX show "Special Forces: Wolrd's Toughest Test" since the early 90s....and you would be hard pressed to find someone who is as patriotic for all the right reasons than him. And now that the show is in it's 3rd season, we thought it was time to catch up with our old friend to see what this season has in store and what's up in his world!
Dear Johnny, On December 13th, my wife Anna, had an appointment with a Hematologist/Oncologist due to severe anemia. That night at 7pm, we received a call from the doctor telling us to go to the Emergency Room for a blood transfusion due to a hemoglobin level of 5.1 (normal levels are usually between 12.0-15.0). Fifteen minutes later, her doctor called again and told us she needed to go to a bigger hospital because there was significant percentage of blasts (immature white blood cells) in her blood. Finding these blasts is a strong indicator of leukemia. That evening we arrived at the University of Kansas Hospital. After talking with a nurse, she was admitted to Labor & Delivery unit because, she is also 18 weeks pregnant. After completing more blood work it was determined that she needed 3 units of blood because her hemoglobin had dropped to 4.5. The following day two Hematologists came to deliver the news that she has Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML), which is an aggressive form of Leukemia, and she would need to be admitted to the Leukemia unit to begin a minimum 5 week stay where she would start chemotherapy. The hard part is now that she is immunocompromised, she is unable to see the kids in person until she can go home. After a bone marrow biopsy, her form of Leukemia was confirmed. December 20th she began her first round of chemotherapy and will continue with this round of treatment for a total of 7 days. There is no guarantee that this round of chemotherapy will put her into remission; in the event that it does not, she will begin another round of treatment. These past few weeks have been such a crazy, overwhelming, whirlwind of events. This is such a scary time for our family; but we are staying as positive as we can. We are just trying to focus on what is happening now and not worry about the future. I just want to say friends and family have been so great to help out with the boys, meals, and sending well wishes and prayers. You really have no idea who is in your corner until something like this happens and we are blessed for the support we have received. I have taken several days off work and it has put us behind and I just don't want my wife to have any extra worries. Thank you for reading our letter. We appreciate it. Every year, we wrap up the season with the Jackyl Family Reunion and it's ALWAYS a drunken good time!! And this year won't be any different!! And as we get set to get our livers warmed up for the main event, we got Jackyl's Jesse James Dupree on the horn to talk about what's gonna go down…you know, while we can still remember it all…..
Dear Johnny, My name is Amy and I've been a Med Tech at local nursing homes for the last 14 years. My husband works fulltime at a manufacturing job in the caves. We are really struggling this year. Two weeks ago, my position was eliminated at the facility I've been working at. After an interview yesterday, I will be back at a new nursing home starting this Friday. But in the downtime, my husband was laid off for a week. When work is slow they just don't go in (but he is back at work this week). The gap in funds has put us behind. We managed to pay December rent, but January is due on the 1st. My electric and gas are also behind. I'm also writing to you about my beautiful little boy, Paxton, who's in the 3rd grade and turned 9 on December 10th. He is having a rough time. In kindergarten, he was diagnosed with language and learning disorder. He has trouble comprehending language, instructions, and understanding simple tasks. He falls behind very quickly. He goes to school and has IEP classes (Individualized Education Program), but he feels different. He gets quiet when he doesn't understand, he's socially awkward, has trouble making friends, and gets picked on. He constantly calls himself stupid and I hate it. I am working on getting him into counseling. It's sad to see his confidence go from 100 to 0. Things are so tight with bills and I just want a little something under the tree for him from Santa. Thank you for reading my letter. I appreciate anything you can do. Amy Who Helped: Troy, Keith, Danelle, Nick, Casey, Luke, Russ, Cosentino's How You Helped: Caught up on rent, electric and gas, Christmas for Paxton, groceries
Dear Johnny, My name is Shelby and I work full time and I'm also a student. I'm writing for help because I have an emergency. A few days ago our service animal, Luna (a husky), was playing in the yard and fell and injured her knee. We rushed her to the emergency vet and found out she needs a TPLO surgery (tibial plateau osteotomy). She has a dislocated kneecap and torn CCL (puppy version of an ACL). Her surgery costs $3800 to repair and we just don't have it. Luna is a big part of our family, and more than that, she is my service dog. In May, I was having severe headaches and was diagnosed with a brain tumor that effects my vision. It's a pituitary adenoma about the size of a large gumball. It's not cancerous, but it suppresses my adrenal gland and can cause seizures and severe drops in blood pressure. I may have to have surgery, but for now I'm on medication to regulate it. Luna is trained and certified as an alert dog for seizures and blood pressure alerts, and I love her and need her. I can't do without her. Thanks for reading my letter and for any help you can give. I can provide any documentation or vet estimate you need. Thank you, Shelby Who Helped: Amy, Jeff & Tracy, Pete & Pipefitters 533, Derek, Tammy How You Helped: Paid for Luna's veterinary surgery, pet ramp
With the barrage of news coverage and conspiracies surrounding the mystery drones on the East Coast, it was good timing for documentary filmmaker and UAP/UFO expert James Fox to release his latest work, “The Program” that delves into the changing landscape of the government's involvement in getting to the bottom of all of the recent encounters with UFOs and more….and he called the show this morning to talk all matter of unexplained phenomena!
Dear Johnny, My name is Jessie and my husband is John and we have two little girls that are 6 and 9. We both work (my husband is a diesel mechanic with a trucking company and I clean houses). About 7 weeks ago we had a scare, my husband was on his motorcycle on his way home from work and hit a deer not far from our house up in Gladstone. He had multiple injuries including a broken pelvis, broken left femur, broken ribs and road rash. It's been a hard road for him to get back on his feet, but we're just happy it wasn't worse. I've worked to try to clean extra houses to keep our heads above water while he's had to take some time off for recovery. We've used up what little we had in savings to try to keep up on bills and we've done ok for the most part, but I'm really worried about rent. We haven't been able to come up with money to cover December and it'll be January 1 before you know it. The good news is, my husband was just cleared to go back to work on December 30th. I'm just praying we can make it until that first paycheck back. We've been through so much as a family. I've just tried to keep everything as normal as possible for the girls, but it's been rough. I just ask that maybe you could please consider us and thank you for reading our letter. Jessie Who Helped: Mary, Ashley, Big Eric, Shannon, Jason, Mike, Cosentinos How You Helped: Caught up on rent + one month, Christmas for the kids, groceries
Dear Johnny, My name is Candace and I am married with two kids, 14 and 5. My husband James and I both work full time jobs, but have had trouble lately trying to stay above financial issues. Our truck has been in and out of the shop for the past few months for one reason or another. Our transmission went out, sensors were going bad and then some computer issues. Getting repairs done has set us back so much that I even had to pawn my wedding ring just to cover some of the costs. We've also fallen behind on paying for daycare for our youngest son. I recently had to change jobs to be closer to home to cut down on daycare hours, but we just can't catch up. They have been good about working with us, but I'm afraid we could lose our spot. I'm a US Army veteran and have been taught to never give up, but I just don't know I'm ever going to be able to fix this. I thank you for taking the time to read my letter and anything you could do would be much appreciated. Candace Who Helped: Jason, Sue, Zach, Kevin, Amish Adam, Red, Cosnetinos How You Helped: Caught up daycare payments + one month, gave money to get wedding ring back from pawn, Christmas for the kids, groceries
Dear Johnny, My dad, Tom, is a retired carpenter, but has since went back to work as a maintenance man to make ends meet. Due to the nature of his work as a carpenter, he has numerous health issues. He has had Hip replacement, Knee replacement, Herniated disk surgery, both rotator cuffs repaired, and more. My dad has been a hard worker his whole life. I used to watch my dad from my bedroom window leave for work early in the mornings. He would come home as soon as he could, dirty and tired but never too tired for us kids. Even with the struggles he would still smile and laugh. He loves telling stories and stupid jokes. But over the last few years, I've seen him smile less and less because of problems with his teeth. He has had upper dentures for the last 15 years, but recently has had serious infection in four of his bottom teeth (two of them had to be pulled). His dentist has warned him that he needs denture replacement. He has health and dental, but it doesn't cover dentures. He lives alone now and it's hard for him to come up with that extra money. I try and help as much as I can, but I am a single mother that works full time trying to get by myself. I would do anything for my dad. He needs upper and lower dentures, but he just doesn't have the money. I know he is worried about infection and it's painful for him to even eat and I think he gets embarrassed in public because of his teeth. He's always been my best friend and I'm just scared that if we don't fix this he'll have problems down the road. I really would just be able to help my dad smile again. Thank you for all you guys do, it is greatly appreciated by everyone. Destiny Who Helped: Christopher & Pipefitters 533. Dear Johnny, I am not one to really ever ask for help or assistance, but this year has been different. Things were going well, and my husband and I are both working. Then a week before Thanksgiving, my mother in law suddenly passed away of a heart attack the night before she was scheduled to be released to come home from her nursing/rehab facility. We are still in shock, can't wrap our head around it. Needless to say, my husband and I are now taking care of my father in law and my husband's uncle. In 2012, my father in law was injured in a 4-wheeler accident and a tractor weight landed on the side of his head. Mentally and physically it has been a real struggle for him and he needs our care. Both of them are living with us as this time. We both work construction, but with time off for the funeral and getting our house in order we've fallen a little bit behind. I'm not one to ask for help, but when it comes to family, you do whatever you can. Thank you for reading my letter and Merry Christmas to you guys. Thank you, Carolyn Who Helped: Colby, Jim, Shannon, Cosentino's How You Helped: Caught up mortgage, Christmas for the grandkids, groceries
Dear Johnny and Morning Show, I don't know if you remember me, but this is Clint. You helped my family and our little boy, Maddox, last year. Unfortunately, December 7th 2024 our 4yr old Mighty Maddox lost his fight with brain cancer. He fought so hard and actually beat the cancer initially...unfortunately, 3 months after beating it the cancer came back with a vengeance. Mighty Maddox truly fought so very hard. Even though he was just 4yrs old Maddox has inspired many others to fight just as hard as he did as well as touching the hearts and minds of many more. I am truly grateful to you guys and the people of Kansas City for giving us a final Christmas with Maddox that was unforgettable and we will cherish for the rest of our lives. Personally, I just wanted to give you an update and to say thank you to you all for giving our family a gift we can hold on to forever. Thanks again and Merry Christmas, Clint Who Helped: Emily, Shelby, Brian, Cody, James
Dear Johnny, My name is Alicia and I am in a desperate situation. In mid-October, my 2008 Chevrolet Impala-- my driver's side front Window went off track and is wide open and won't go back up. Then a few days later, I noticed my muffler started vibrating underneath the car. I've tried to cover the window the best I can, but it's been some cold drives back and forth to work. And then at the end of October, as the weather started to turn cold, I tried to turn on my furnace and it was not working right. I try not to think about it because I just don't have the money to get it fixed and I hoped it would be okay. A couple of weeks ago when the weather really turned cold, I tried to fire it back up and it would only blow cold air, so I tried to get the temperature up to at least 58 degrees. It began making a buzzing sound for a minute then shutting off for 30 seconds to a minute then try to come back on with the same buzzing sound. I knew something wasn't right, so I just let it shut off. That has made for some really cold nights the last couple of weeks. I went to bed a few nights ago and it was 43 degrees inside my house. I called an HVAC technician to come out to my house and he said it could possibly be a blower motor and/or a transformer. He quoted me more than $1000 to fix it and I just don't have the money. I work a full-time job and I'm just at my wits end. I'm driving to work every day with the window down and the cold blowing in my face and then come back to a house that's usually in the mid-40's degrees. I've been staying with a friend the last couple of nights because I just don't know what to do. I make just enough to cover my bills and get groceries, but I just don't have a way to get past this. I hate having to ask for help, but thank you for taking the time to read my letter. Any help would be appreciated. Sincerely, Alicia Who helped: Trevor our car mechanic, Joel with McFarland Heating and Cooling, Emily, Cosentino's How you helped: fixed the window in her car and installed a brand new furnace, paid water bill, groceries
Dear Johnny, My name is Faith and I'm writing because me, my husband and 3 children had a giant loss last week. On Wednesday, December 4th we had a house fire from a faulty electrical issue in our garage. It was a total loss from smoke, fire and water damage. Renters insurance will help cover us, but it's going to take a minute. Red Cross was able to give us immediate help with a hotel room, but we are now just trying to put the pieces back together. We have 3 kids and we are devastated to say the least. But, thankfully no one was hurt and we are counting our blessings. If there's anything you could do to help, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you and God bless! Any day that our old friend, comedian Josh Wolf, rolls into KC and stops by the studio is a good day! And today was no different!
Dear Johnny, My name is Amanda, my husband is Jed and we have four beautiful kids. Chase 13, Jaxon 11, and twin girls Paige and Piper 8. Jed is a sheet metal worker with Local 2 and I'm a loan processor. We both have worked hard to get where we are in life, but I never thought I'd have to write this letter. About a month ago Jed started to have some weird symptoms of numbness in his left arm and hand, and headaches. He thought it was a pinched nerve. A couple of weeks later he had a migraine that increased in severity and it became debilitating. He went to the emergency room on Saturday 11/16. After a cat scan, they discovered a baseball size tumor in the right side of his brain. He was immediately transferred to the University of Kansas Medical Center. They did a tumor resection on Monday 11/18, just two days later. The tumor was sent off so they could find out what we were dealing with. Brain tumors are graded 1-4. A grade 1 tumor is a slow growing tumor that is usually treated with good outcomes. The higher the grade the more aggressive the cancer and the worse the prognosis is. On Monday of this week we had the follow up appointment and pathology results for the tumor. The tumor is unfortunately a grade 4 glioblastoma. The most aggressive type of primary brain tumor. Statistically it's not good. Long term survival is not in our favor. He starts 6 weeks of radiation right after Christmas, followed by chemotherapy. He'll also have to have physical and occupational therapy to regain and work on fine motor skills. Jed has been off work for just over a month now and on one income we're starting to fall behind. It's all been just so much in a short amount of time. Jed knows he's in the fight of his life and we just want to be here for him. We'll see as treatment progresses where this takes us, but I just want to take some pressure off of him and the family while we fight this battle. Thank you for reading my letter and keep us in your thoughts. Amanda Who helped: Bobby, Mike, Jeremy, Candy, Chris & Pipefitters 533, Cosentino's How you helped: Mortgage payment, electric bill, Christmas for the kids, groceries
Dear Johnny, My name is Terri and I have been a daycare provider for over 30 years in the Blue Springs community. I have watched over mostly children from area teachers and I love every minute of it. I've helped with kids from most major school districts on the Missouri side including Blue Springs, Independence, Lee's Summit, Grain Valley, Raytown, and the list goes on and on. I genuinely love these kids and try not to be the “typical daycare provider.” I fix homemade meals for the kids every day for breakfast and lunch, customize a preschool curriculum, go to the kids' birthday parties and help them celebrate birthdays and holidays to make them feel special. I really try to spare no expense for the kids I care for and look after every day. Over the last couple of years, my family and I have suffered some hardships. My husband, Larry, of nearly 30 years had to quit his job as a local mechanic due to the effects of his progressing Parkinson's Disease. In the Spring we suffered a small kitchen fire and insurance covered most of the repairs, but we did have some out of pocket expense to make sure we were running things safely and efficiently. Recently, the strong winds that came through town a couple of weeks ago and caused a branch to fall from a nearby tree and puncture a hole in the back porch roof. It also blew over a portion of our fence in the backyard. Insurance will cover the repairs, but I just can't afford the large deductible. Going to a single income family has already put financial strain us, but adding the fire, the roof and fence repair, and my husband's medical expenses makes it hard to stay afloat. I have started doing “DoorDash” after all the kids have been picked up just to try and make ends meet. Thank you for taking the time to read my letter and any help would be greatly appreciated. Merry Christmas. Sincerely, Terri Who helped: Gary, Jason, Shane, Tony, Sue, Gene, Allison, Jason, Consentino's How you helped: 3 months of mortgage payments, insurance deductible for roof repair, groceries
April Balascio had a rough childhood to say the least...but she always felt like there was something more sinister lurking...and in 2009, she found out what that was...the fact that her father Edward Wayne Edwards was a serial killer..and she herself turned him in! She tells her story in her new book, Raised by a Serial Killer and we talked to her all about it.
Dear Johnny, My husband, Josh, had an accident at work in 2015. He works for a small drywall company and the scaffolding he was on tipped over and he fell 15 feet. He broke his wrist, cracked one heel and shattered the other. After 19 surgeries and a few years later he is a below the knee (left leg) amputee. We did not have health insurance, but were covered by workers comp for upkeep on his prosthesis until about 2 years ago. He went back to work as soon as possible for the same drywall company. He needed a new mechanical foot for the prosthesis last year and our prosthetic people are awesome, and got us set up with a payment plan which we finished about 2 months ago. Now from wear and tear and his leg slightly shrinking, he needs a new socket, which is more expensive than the cost of the foot we just paid off! We both work full time. I work in nursing and he works in construction, but it still leaves us paycheck to paycheck. Without a new socket he won't be able to work, and without both our paychecks I'm afraid we will lose everything. The socket for his prosthesis now doesn't fit his stump properly anymore, and due to the day after day he is getting sores on his leg and working while in constant pain. I just want him to be able to work comfortably and not risk another infection that could get even worse. Merry Christmas and thank you for reading my letter. Any help at all would be more than appreciated. Thank you, Catie Martin Who helped: Billy Brimblecom & Steps of Faith, Cosentinos How you helped: New prosthetic socket, groceries
Former Chiefs QB and Friend of the Show Trent Green is no stranger to the limelight...from his stellar NFL career and his work with CBS as a sportscaster...but now he's added actor to his resume with his cameo in the new Hallmark movie, "Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story" and we talked to him all about it this moring!
Actor Danny Trejo is one of the most recognizable faces in Hollywood...not to mention he's become a food icon with his Trejo's Tacos and Donuts restaurants...and now he's hosting the new History Channel series, Mysteries Unearthed, and he stopped by today to tell us about that and more!
Dear Johnny, This year has been incredibly hard on our family. After battling health issues it feels like we're just sinking and can't stay afloat. My husband is working, but I had to step away from job due to health issues and I am waiting for disability/social security. In 2021 I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. In 2022 I had Radioactive iodine ablation for Thyroid cancer. This year I have been dealing with a lot of symptoms that we thought were caused by a tumor on my kidney, turns out on Nov 14th I found out I have a brain tumor (Parafalcine meningioma). I am having trouble bathing myself, my body shakes constantly, weak, vision trouble, I walk with a cane and worry about falling down. I have my neurosurgeon appointment on Dec 16th to figure out my treatment process. My family is really struggling because of all of it. Our lights are behind, gas is behind and Internet has not been paid (we use for our son's school). I'm worried about rent for December. We have had to sell pretty much everything we own. We are out of body wash, Laundry soap, etc. My son, Levi, who is 9 and has autism. We are desperate for him to not know we are struggling so hard. We greatly appreciate you taking the time to read this letter and we hope next year is a little brighter for us.
