Shreya Ramachandran was just 13 when experiences with water scarcity in California and India moved her from curiosity to action. What began with research, workshops at libraries and community events, and eventually The Grey Water Project has grown into a decade of environmental leadership. In this episode of Walk Talk Listen, Shreya reflects on growing up as a self-described "library and museum kid," her connection to her grandparents and family roots in Chennai, and the freedom her parents gave her to explore, including allowing more than 100 plants to temporarily take over their bedroom for her greywater experiments. Looking back, she says she would tell her 13-year-old self to hold onto the same "boundless enthusiasm and energy" and the belief that she could change the world. Now a Stanford graduate with a master's degree in Sustainability Science and Practice, Shreya works at the intersection of climate resilience, youth participation and environmental policy. She has represented young people through UN processes, helped develop climate action plans, and argues that meaningful youth participation requires bringing young people into agenda-setting and decision-making rather than inviting them in after decisions have already been shaped. Our conversation explores what sustainability really means, why "action breeds hope," what older and younger generations can learn from one another, and why climate action becomes more powerful when people can see its connection to their own lives and health. We also talk about agency, kindness, the future she hopes to help create, and why she chose Rachel Platten's Fight Song as the music that represents her. Psalm 24 has served as both prayer book and hymnal for God's people for thousands of years, and it's nothing short of a fight song for the church. Whether you're walking through an impossible situation or just need a reminder of who God is, this message points you back to the God who is worthy of your worship.

Check out the full episode: https://greatness.lnk.to/1663DM Rachel Platten thought having kids would kill her creativity. It did the opposite. She says creating a child is the most creative act there is, and now she pulls from a wider, wilder range of emotion than ever before. But the real gold is her pre-show ritual. Three columns. Column one: every fear and worry. Column two: her actual job, just breathe, be present, have fun. Column three: God's job, which is everything else. She writes "go God, go" and gives Him a checkmark when He comes through. Taylor Swift once told her something that changed how she survives packed seasons: you don't get days off, you get moments off. Small, honest, and genuinely funny. Learn how to JournalSpeak https://www.yourbreakawake.com/journalspeak This interview is one for the history books. Not only is Rachel's story CRAZY inspirational, the magic that accompanies our knowing one another and the synergy of how it unfolded is uncommon and moving. I can't wait to share this one with you! Note: we had some unforeseen technical issues in the last 5 minutes of our talk, so please forgive the audio glitch. It doesn't take away 1% from the power of this tale of recovery. Special thanks to Oliver Sachs for coming through with a genius audio edit. Gotta love having a son at NYU studying music technology. Through postpartum depression, panic attacks, back and hip pain, Rachel fought her way through and out as only our sweet "Fight Song" warrior could, and her description of the lowest lows and the revelation of recovery will motivate you to carry forth through your own. So much love from both of us to all of you. xoxo n. 1:1 COACHING WITH TRAINED COACHES SUPERVISED DIRECTLY BY NICOLE PLEASE RATE AND REVIEW THE PODCAST HERE TO HELP OTHERS FIND IT! Habakkuk 3:1-19 1 A prayer of Habakkuk the prophet. On shigionoth. 2Lord, I have heard of your fame; I stand in awe of your deeds, Lord.Repeat them in our day, in our time make them known; in wrath remember mercy. 3God came from Teman, the Holy One from Mount Paran. His glory covered the heavens and his praise filled the earth.4 His splendor was like the sunrise; rays flashed from his hand, where his power was hidden.5Plague went before him; pestilence followed his steps.6He stood, and shook the earth; he looked, and made the nations tremble. The ancient mountains crumbled and the age-old hills collapsed but he marches on forever.7I saw the tents of Cushan in distress, the dwellings of Midian in anguish. 8Were you angry with the rivers, Lord? Was your wrath against the streams?Did you rage against the sea when you rode your horses and your chariots to victory?9You uncovered your bow, you called for many arrows. You split the earth with rivers;10 the mountains saw you and writhed.Torrents of water swept by; the deep roared and lifted its waves on high. 11Sun and moon stood still in the heavens at the glint of your flying arrows, at the lightning of your flashing spear.12In wrath you strode through the earth and in anger you threshed the nations.13You came out to deliver your people, to save your anointed one.You crushed the leader of the land of wickedness, you stripped him from head to foot.14With his own spear you pierced his head when his warriors stormed out to scatter us,gloating as though about to devour the wretched who were in hiding.15You trampled the sea with your horses, churning the great waters. 16I heard and my heart pounded, my lips quivered at the sound;decay crept into my bones, and my legs trembled.Yet I will wait patiently for the day of calamity to come on the nation invading us.17Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls,18yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Savior. 19The Sovereign Lord is my strength; he makes my feet like the feet of a deer, he enables me to tread on the heights. For the director of music. On my stringed instruments.
