HELLO BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE, and welcome back to another episode. As always before we start, make sure to join our community DISCORD ►https://discord.com/invite/6TXCnB8t8G for anything nerdy that we cover. With AniMay now over we were able to finally talk about the new Mortal Kombat movie and what better way to do it than to compare it to the original one from 1995. Before that though we had some news. This week we were pretty light on news. In the lightning round, we got a bunch of release dates for games that will be coming out in the next year, news of Amazon buying MGM Studios, and news of Jac Schaeffer getting signed for a 3 year TV deal with Marvel. With that out of the way as well as a lack of straight-up news, let's get right into the topic. As mentioned before this time around we talked about both the newest and oldest Mortal Kombat movies. Each of us came at this with very different perspectives. Some of us knew the lore quite a bit while others had watched only these movies and never really played the games. That being said, both of these movies are enjoyable. They both have strengths and weaknesses that make it possible to like one over the other depending on what you like more in a movie. To find what we think you'll have to listen though. After listening make sure to tell us which movie you like more, and what comparison we should do next. In the lightning round, we got news of Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania starting filming, Lucasfilms dropping Rangers of The New Republic, and a lot of DC news which included the announcement of an animated Injustice movie among other things. As for straight-up news, we were met with two trailers. One was for the Dinsey+ series Monsters at Work, and the other was for Marvel’s Eternals. To round up the news we had the lineup for devs going to E3 as well as those who will be at Summer Game Fest. With that all out of the way let’s discuss the topic. As you can see from the title of this episode, this week we talked about Princess Mononoke. This was our first time doing a retrospective on a movie, and we couldn’t be happier that this was the one to start with. Most of us have not watched many if any Ghibli films, and this one definitely made for a good jumping-off point. As for straight up news we got another look at Pixar’s Luca with another trail, and we also saw Marvel announce release dates for 9 of the upcoming movies. With that all out of the way let’s talk about the episode. This week was the start of AniMay. As such we decided to ease into it by talking about a common trope in anime nowadays, isekai. HELLO EVERYONE and welcome back to another episode. We decided to continue our celebration of Valentine’s Day with an episode dedicated to our favorite romantic projects. Before that let's talk about some news that happened this past week. In lightning round we finally got the reveal of the title for Spider-Man 3, we got release dates for 3 Disney Plus series, and the announcement of a Blue Beetle film being developed among other things. In straight up news, we talked about the recent Nintendo Direct that left many fans disappointed, Nickelodeon starting the new Avatar Studios, and the trailer for the Mortal Kombat movie. With news out of the way let's talk about the topic. As we said before this week we talked about our favorite romantic projects. I would say there was a range of projects, but really it was just half movies and half animes (I’ll let you guess who did what). That being said all the projects we talked about were able to tug at our heartstrings and left an impact on us that led us to think about them until this day. That’s why make sure to tell us your favorite romantic story, so we can all spread the love this season. Hello beautiful nerdettes and nerds, welcome back to another episode. This time around in celebration of Valentine’s Day we have decided to do something a little different and talk about characters we would want to take as our lawfully wedded wife. Before that though we had news. In lightning round we heard about Netflix ordering a 24 episode animated Sonic series called “Sonic Prime”, Kingdom Hearts coming to the Epic Games Store, Idris Elba working with Crunchyroll to make an anime, as well as quite a few other things you’ll have to listen to find out. As for straight up news we got another look at both The Falcon and Winter Soldier as well as Zack Snyder’s Justice League. Both trailers showed some real promise and we cannot wait to talk about them more when they come out. Besides that we saw Gina Carano being fired from The Mandalorian, and Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey being cast in the HBO Max Last of Us series. With news out of the way let's talk a bit about the topic. As you may or may not know, all us guys are single at the moment. That being said, we can always imagine it would be like being in a relationship especially with women we’ve been crushing on since we saw them on screen. If any of you guys have a waifu you want to share loud and proud, don’t be shy! We would love to hear about all the fantastic characters you guys have in mind. HELLO EVERYONE and welcome back to another episode. As you can see from the title of this episode we decided to steer away from what we are familiar with, and talk about some new series you all might not have heard of recently. Before that though as always we had some news to talk about. In lightning round we heard the announcement of a Spy Kids reimagining with Robert Rodriguez writing and directing, and Proximity Media signing a 5 year contract with Disney. This also included the news of Michael B. Jordan being willing to reprise his role as Erik Killmonger. Besides this we had other news, but you’ll have to listen to the episode to hear exactly what happened. Now for the actual topic. As you all may know there are more comic books out there than those by DC and Marvel. This episode is meant to highlight those and gush about the ones we especially love. Whether it's characters from more traditional comics or even foreign comics, there are a lot of great stories and characters out there. Although there were some dope moments and great visuals, it still felt like something was off. Hello nerds and nerdettes and welcome back to another episode. As we said last week, this time we are doing our review on the new Disney Pixar movie Soul. Before that though, as always, we have some news. This week in the lightning round we talked about Loki season 2 beginning pre-production, Morbius being delayed, the Switch selling more units than any other console this year, as well as other events that happened. In straight up news we talked about the new Lucas Films game division Lucas Film Games and what they have in store. We also discussed the bid for the dev studio Codemasters nearing its end as Take Two pulls out its bid. Now with news finally over let’s talk about the actual topic Soul. As many people know this movie came out on Christmas, the same day as Wonder Woman 1984, and for anyone wondering which one was better there is no competition. Soul was a fantastic movie whether you look at its characters, cinematography, music, or story. Before we get into the topic though as always we have some news. First in the lightning round, we talked about The Mad Max Prequel Furiosa being announced, Epic Games purchasing a shipping mall to build their home campus, WandaVision having 9 episodes, and more!. As for straight up news, the only news we had there was all DC related. DC has been talking about a lot of things regarding their extended universe and not all of it seems to be making complete sense. Hopefully they’ll be able to sort that out, but in the meantime let’s get into this week’s topic! As stated this week we talked about our favorite fictional weapons.
