THE SEA, 10min., Canada Directed by Son Roberts This experimental short film is a "Jazz Monologue" presented by an elusive oracle. Through rage and reflection, incendiary prose and inspirational poetry, he reminds us of the legacy of lies that define our human journey. And he insists that we embrace the redemptive power of truth, from generation to generation. https://www.instagram.com/thesonroberts/ Get to know the filmmaker: 1. What motivated you to make this film? I came on board because our co-producer and the writer of the monologue, Frank Francis, is a long time friend and collaborator. My admiration for Frank, and our collective efforts to tell relevant stories about human rights and social justice lit the fire for this project. 2. From the idea to the finished product, how long did it take for you to make this film? About 18 months. 3. How would you describe your film in two words!? Haunting and necessary. 4. What was the biggest obstacle you faced in completing this film? Financing it. 5. There are 5 stages of the filmmaking process: Development. Pre-Production. Production. Post-Production. Distribution. What is your favorite stage of the filmmaking process? Shooting and post-production are tied for my favourites. 6. When did you realize that you wanted to make films? I started making motion pictures in high school, pursued the art form in commercial work for decades. Now, it is my primary focus.. 7. What film have you seen the most times in your life? The Third Man 8. In a perfect world: Who would you like to work with/collaborate with on a film? Charlize Theron, Ethan Hawke, Sean Penn, Hailee Steinfeld, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Mahershala Ali, Viola Davis, Octavia Spencer, Emily Blunt, Meryl Streep, Masanobu Takayanagi, Jomo Fray. 9. You submitted to the festival via FilmFreeway. How has your experiences been working on the festival platform site? Excellent. FF offers a Seamless, professional and wide reaching portal. 10. What is your favourite meal? Pretty much anything my girlfriend cooks. 11. What is next for you? A new film? Two music videos and a music documentary are in post-production. In this episode I teach you the proper way to read magazines, and yes there is a proper way. We discuss the new Lamar Odom documentary and let's just say, Khloe deserves anything she wants. Speaking of Khloe, her brand Khloud now has chips AND a birthday cake flavored popcorn. Taylor Swift is being sued yet again, this time over 1 word. Zendaya and Robert Pattinson have a new movie out and it has the internet divided. Hailee Steinfeld and Josh Allen have welcomed a baby girl into the world, and that baby already has a net worth higher than mine. My favorite place in the world (the Cheesecake Factory) has been opening new restaurants with similar vibes but smaller portion sizes. Kylie Jenner has added electrolytes to her Sprinter brand. Now you can get wasted on the vodka and then hydrate with K2O. Probably one of the most iconic covers of Vogue is coming out in May and has the Meryl Streep AND Anna Wintour posing together. And lastly, Pamela Anderson has partnered with a furniture company that will sell outdoor furniture. Thanks for watching!-Kacey

Tobin gets in the Thanksgiving spirit, stating that he is thankful for Erik Spoelstra. And makes what Leroy feels is “too much” by claiming Kel'el Ware is SPECIAL. We played through the goals of the Panthers ridiculous 8 goal game last night. Tobin wants to know why Hailee Steinfeld fans hate Josh Allen.
Tobin says that there is an argument to be had that if Michigan beat Ohio State, Leroy surprisingly disagrees. News hit that the Marlins and Stowers are not seeing eye to eye, and hearing out trade deals for Sandy. Tobin yells to little Havana to go out and get Pete Alsono, give him the POLAR BEAR. We play our favorite Tuesday game “Damage Is Done” where Tobin gets fired up about them taking points away from Kel'el Ware, and we question what Mario Cristobal does for Thanksgiving. We preview the Dolphins upcoming matchup on Sunday against the New Orleans Saints, Tobin of course must torture us all with a Mike McDaniel clip, as we get updates on injuries. We dip into the Mixed Bag as we hear from Tyler Herro, Lane Kiffin, and more. The beloved Jimmy from Hoch, Crowder, and Solana jumps on the mic to give us his best Keshad Johnson impression. Tobin annoys Leroy and the peanut gallery when he starts playing hypotheticals with the potential of Dolphins kicker Jason Sanders coming back, everyone begs him to cut it out. Tobin decides to double down when the gang calls him out on his Tomfullery when he claims that he will not be looking to put anyone on the chopping block on this Heat team, he swears that Luka Doncic wouldn't make him happier than Davion Mitchell.
We love to pull the cork. Comedian (and probably the biggest Greek-American entertainer of our time) Stavros Halkias joins us to chat about 2010's True Grit, the Coens' true attempt to cash their post-Oscar blank check. We're talking about Hailee Steinfeld's incredible performance. We're talking about Jeff Bridges' distinctive mumbly delivery. We're talking about how this film is a considerable upgrade over the John Wayne original in possibly every way. We're also talking about how everyone probably smells awful in this movie. And we're talking a lot about the Morris Chestnut network TV show “Watson” for some reason. Join us by the campfire, it's a fun time!
