Our text says that in marriage the husband is the head of his wife, even as Christ is the head of the church. The Westminster Confession of Faith states that God is a most pure spirit without passions. In our day, however, this has become a controversial doctrine. In our text Jesus warns his disciples that a time will come when those killing God's servants will think that they kill as a service unto the Lord.----We offer two examples in how the words of the Lord Jesus were, in part, fulfilled. Accounts of the devilish cruelty done against Christians can be chilling, but at the same time they show us the dauntless faithfulness of the saints to their, and our, covenant-keeping God.

Sermon excerpts----- Homosexuality is the practice of death, because it results in the death of the human race. Prov. 8-36- -But he that sinneth against me, hurteth his own soul- and all that hate me, love death.- A society of homosexuals lasts one generation and is extinct. That is why the homosexual lobby is so aggressive. They have to recruit converts in each generation. -Prohibiting discrimination- is a ruse. Their goal is for govt. schools, media, etc. to actively encourage homosexuality.---- The Hate Crimes Prevention Act, US law since 2009, lays the legal foundation to investigate and prosecute pastors and anyone else whose speech is based upon the truths found in the Bible.---- -If a homosexual merely claims he feared bodily injury by a Christian-s words, the Christian can be thrown in prison for a felony -hate crime.' Under the strictest definition of of the law, any preaching against any sin, especially that of homosexuality could be considered hate language and therefore a hate crime.- If convicted, a person could spend as much as 10 years in prison.----- What is next- Will it be a crime to say what the Bible says about adultery, fornication, prostitution, etc. because some people are offended- Since I Cor. 1-18 teaches us that the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, it is offensive to them. How long will it be before sharing the Bible will be a hate crime----- This is what Christians need to do...

The command to observe the Sabbath Day was given by the Lord long before the 10 Commandments. It, like marriage, was given to Adam and Eve and thus, like marriage, is called a -creation ordinance.-----The Sabbath gives us purpose and meaning to our work to fulfill the Dominion Covenant -Genesis 1-14-18-. Every week we are reminded of the rest that awaits us in everlasting life.

Phil Robertson, the patriarch of the Duck Dynasty TV series - the most popular nonfiction show in cable TV history - has been fired by the A-E network for stating what the Bible teaches about the sin of homosexuality.----Homosexuality is one of the most public, aggressive and virulent forms of rebellion against God.----Make no mistake- Christian, we are in a spiritual war. The enemy is well-aware of that fact and is doing all it can to remove God's Word from society - the goal is to outlaw it. This sermon has several recent examples.----A society of homosexuals lasts one generation and then is extinct. That is undeniable. And that is why the homosexual lobby is so aggressive in pushing for societal acceptance and in their intolerance of those who believe it is sinful - to the point of outlawing criticism of homosexuality in many countries, and which is their goal in the US. Religion is -generally speaking- a belief system whereas politics consists of activities associated with the government. Separation of religion and politics is impossible, because all political activity is based on ethical concepts that are rooted in religious ideas.-

-For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another. Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. What should we make of these verses that appear to say that unless you are sinless you are not a child of God------Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not- whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.- -- I Jn. 3-6-----He that committeth sin is of the devil- -- I Jn. 3-8a-----Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin- for his seed remaineth in him- and he cannot sin , because he is born of God.- -- I Jn. 3-9----among others.----They do NOT teach sinless perfectionism, and this sermon explains why.

-Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God- therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be- but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him- for we shall see him as he is. May you be blessed by this sermon on what the Apostle John teaches on loving God vs. loving the world and the things that are in the world -- and how that is consistent with His command to bring all the world into subjection to the Lord Jesus Christ.

The Bible claims to be inspired by God. How do we know that-----There is one grand difference between Christianity and all other faiths. All others are focused on man- Man seeks God. The Bible focuses on God- God chooses whom He will save. -Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you...- -- Jn. 15-16a.----Non-Christian faiths are based on human effort. Only Christianity is based on divine revelation.----This is the third sermon in a mini-series on how we got the Bible within the larger series on the book of Revelation.

-And he is the propitiation for our sins- and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.-----This verse puzzles some believers. Is it saying that Christ saves everyone- Or is it saying that Christ's death made it possible for everyone to be saved, but that you have to do something to become saved- Or is it saying something else entirely-----Understanding this verse and I Jn. will keep us out of all sorts of dangerous heresies.

Predestination - Predestination - Predestination. A word that so quickly generates heat, debate, and conflict in the Church. Is this a teaching which comes from John Calvin in Geneva some 500 years ago, or is it a Biblical doctrine- What saith the Lord- What is the teaching from the Scripture-----Come and listen to what the Lord reveals to us on this question. If it is from the Lord, and not man, what is the purpose behind predestination- Would it not give perspective to those on both sides of the debate, to frame our discussion with God's purpose for predestination-

God's Word tells us there are only two choices when it comes to sexual relationships- abstinence or marriage. ----Hear how it this commandment is not a prison wall to keep us in, but a protective wall to keep Satan out- to protect us when we are single, and to protect our marriage when we are wedded.

Listen to the teaching from the timeless Word of God on how a King should not play the part of the priest and how sorely the Lord punished this kind of sin. Are we committing the sin of King Uzziah today- Should a father who is not ordained by the Lord play the part of the pastor- Should a Queen be put as the head of the Church- Should the Pope play the part of the King- And just how strict is the Lord about the purity of worship- Come and listen and see.
