In this Episode I give examples of what not to do and exactly what you HAVE to do to close the deal.There are three ways to close:-1. The Assumptive Close** This technique is subtle but powerful. It's when you ask a question that assumes they're ready to move forward. For example, ‘Shall we start drafting the contract?' or ‘When would you like to schedule the next step?'2. The Choice Close Give the client options to move forward, which makes it easier for them to say yes. You could say something like, ‘Would you prefer to sign the lease for 12 months or 24 months?' The best way to have the best year ever in 2023 is to Plan.So what's the best way to Plan? Do these things:-1. Big Rocks First - block out birthdays, weddings, corporate events, critical business engagements, holidays and sporting events2. Set Revenue Growth Milestones – plan your product launches, advertising campaigns, websites launches or changes, marketing strategies for the year and any recruiting plans3. Be Decisive – set the plan with intent to commit. Don't have ‘maybe' plans. 4. Calendar Merge with your partner, family, friends – find out what the people around you want to do, tell them your plans, and make sure your plans work with the people in your life that matter.5. People Pleasers tell everyone what they want to hear, they always say yes to everything.Now you may think the People Pleaser is the nice guy, the good guy, the GO TO guy.Wrong.People Pleasers are liars and manipulators.They are trying to manipulate your reaction for their own emotional satisfaction.They never want you to be angry with them – so they only tell you what they want you to hear. They hate conflict. They are avoiding a difficult situation by being dishonest and ultimately,It is all about them.So the bottom line is - they can't be trusted.If you have someone you rely on and trust because they always say yes to you. Take a good hard look at what's really going on.Things may not be what they seem.Trust your gut.The Flip Side – don't be a People Pleaser.I have to come clean – I have done this myself in the past. It's not a good feeling and it always leave a bad taste in your mouth.It's also exhausting and you are selling yourself short – literally.Also, when you start to fall into the trap of pleasing people, it's very hard to stop. You want everyone to like you.In Sales our role is to solve problems and to find solutions. But the right solutions. Providing answers and solutions that that don't work or aren't true to get the deal over the line will always end badly. In this Episode we talk about why you need to have a positive attitude to cope with any curve balls life throws at you.Some ways I find help with maintaining a positive attitude include; · Simply breathing - take a few deep breaths when things go pear shaped and try not to react all all.· Walk away – sometime when things are spinning out of control – you just need to down tools, walk away and leave it for a day or two· Meditation – just 5 minutes a day will train you to calm your mind and cope better with stressful situations· Put things in perspective - don't over react to thing that don't matter in the big scheme of things.· Be grateful – every day think of at least 3 things you are grateful for. What habits will make it impossible to have a positive attitude?· Taking drugs and alcohol to cope – these will always make any situation worse and destroy your capacity to cope· Not looking after yourself – good health and a great attitude go hand in hand· Worrying about what everyone else is doing – this will eat away at your confidence so – blaze your own trail.· Doubting yourself – stop over analysing yourself – don't wait for things to be perfect.
