The Stanley Cup Final is here! Let's find out if Carl is emotionally prepared for it. After making quick work of the Edmonton Oilers, the Colorado Avalanche had to wait to find out their opponent. This week had another slew of hot button issues. But also, had enough time for background talk, cheese talk and Auston Matthews talk. Jay Beagle tried to fight the entire Anaheim Ducks, particularly Troy Terry and Trevor Zegras. This opened a can of worms, looking at how games should be handled with a big lead, how fights should be initiated and if poking the goalie is allowed. Keith Yandle's ironman streak ended. We are back and ready to look back at everything that happened during the holiday break! The NHL has a real problem with how they're handling COVID. And that is that they have cancelled almost every game in the second half of December. Their solution: Skip the Olympics. And that leads us to have positive things to say about Brad Marchand. 2022 is starting off weird! Not only has the NHL had to cancel games, but the games that are happening aren't exactly the same quality that we're used to. What can be expected for the rest of 2022? Even the World Junior hockey championship was cancelled! But don't worry, we have a solution to fix all of it! But, there was good news over the break, as a fan in Seattle showed us all how we should interact with teams when at the game. COVID has officially sent the NHL season off of the rails. And our episode is in a similar place. But, we both got chicken out of it. With COVID cases spiking throughout the NHL, we explore what the possible options for the league are, what we can expect from the schedule moving forward and try to answer yet again if NHL'ers will go to the Olympics. Paul Maurice surprisingly resigned his role as the coach of the Winnipeg Jets. Why would he leave a good thing? Or is it not a good thing? We answer some mailbag questions finding out what position we would play in the NHL and why Daniel Alfredsson isn't in the Hall of Fame. We check our naughty and nice list to see how Santa is bringing presents to (looking at you Connor McDavid) and who Santa is bringing coal to (looking at you Tyler Bertuzzi). Who else is on the list?
