The Sens re-sign Mathieu Joseph to a four year contract; Ryan Dzingel had 56 points three years ago and now signs a two way deal in Carolina; Hockey Canada will still go forward with hosting the World Juniors in early August; Sens sign Jayce Hawryluk; and it's part one of "Summer in the Atlantic" – discussing what the other teams in the Atlantic Division have done this off-season. In this one, we feature Montreal and Tampa Bay.
Ethan Bear is officially re-signed and the Canes have bolstered their depth once again with the signings of Ryan Dzingel, William Lagesson and Stelio Mattheos within the last week. What do the fellas have to say about them and what does it mean for the blueprint of the team? How does it stack up against the framework of other competitors around the league?

Canada won hockey gold! Which more than makes up for an underwhelming men's tournament. Which will have to tide us over until a summer version of the World Junior Hockey Championship. Thank you for using our idea IIHF! Jack Eichel returned, but not with the splash that Nick predicted. The Toronto Maple Leafs made two deals with the Arizona Coyotes this week, picking up Ryan Dzingel and Carter Hutton. But why? The Calgary Flames and sidney Crosby are the best of the week. While officiating takes the seat for the worst of the week. The New Jersey Devils enter the Eliination Station. With Dougie Hamilton not being enough to bring them back to the playoffs, what is next? They look at what Lyubushkin brings to the table and if Dzingel is going to be a part of the long-term picture. On this episode of the Keeping Karlsson Fantasy Hockey Podcast, Elan and Brian cap off our four-part Offseason Action series with their analysis of the fantasy implications of player movement coming via the draft, trade and free agent market in the Central Division. We kick off with the most costly acquisition this offseason (in both trade assets and contract!) who'll look to make an impact in Chicago, and work our way through the rest of the division in order from busiest to quietest during the last few weeks. Is Darcy Kuemper in Colorado now worth reaching for in your draft? How do Arizona's goalies stack up next to other historically terrifying NHL tandems? Who could get a leg up in the crowded Dallas crease? Does David Rittich threaten to take starts from Juuse Saros in Nashville? Will Connor Hellebuyck benefit from Winnipeg shoring up their D corps? Well... that was quite possibly the worst game we've seen the Ottawa Senators play. Brandon Piller and Ross Levitan break down the 7-1 loss to the Edmonton Oilers, a cursed game. The Oilers had more goals than the Sens had shots for most of the game, let that sink. This game wasn't all on Murray, the D Core can't contain McDavid and/or Draisaitl and it looks like Colin White and Ryan Dzingel may have suffered serious injuries, to add insult to injury (pun intended). We review DJ Smiths tenure here after 100 games as the bench boss, what we like and what worries us. And lots of things going on so we hit on Disney/ESPN and the NHL partnering, NCAA hockey, Belleville Senators and Christian Wolanin's contract situation. Support us by supporting our sponsors.
