Locked On Penguins - Daily Podcast On The Pittsburgh Penguins
Happy Wednesday! The episodes continue as Hunter starts the show with a small update on the GM search. Well, it's an update in the sense that he doubts Marc Bergevin will be considered for the role. Hunter discusses what Elliotte Friedman talked about towards the end of his 32 Thoughts Pod and why it seems like it's just an agent helping out a client. After that, he breaks down Rickard Rakell's season and how he surprised Hunter in numerous ways this year. Hunter eats all the crow as he was against part of the extension due to the term but it quickly went away with how he played. He looks at how Rakell struck gold on any line that he was on and how that will be a big factor heading into next season. He also marvels at how great of a one-timer he has and why the power play should run through him a bit more next season thanks to his shot and his vision from the left half wall. After that, Hunter gives a couple of more moves that he would make if he were the general manager this summer. Which d-men does he have his eyes on? What about forwards for the bottom six? Finally, Hunter breaks down Tuesday night's playoff action and why this first round has been an absolute pleasure to watch. Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors! Inside today's Locked on Canadiens The Montreal Canadiens face off with the Los Angeles Kings on Saturday night and while it's an important game for the Canadiens to try and start a new winning streak, there's a bigger shadow looming over the game. The Saturday night contest will mark the return of former General Manager Marc Bergevin to the Bell Centre for the first time since he was fired last season, and the hosts break down what kind of reception he might receive and more. Then, it's the Friday Mailbag and the hosts dig into a mountain of listener questions! Which prospect will have the biggest chip on their shoulder if they do make their respective World Juniors team? Will Nick Suzuki and Cole Caufield make the NHL All-Star Game? What sort of super skilled play like the Michigan would the hosts like to see a Hab pull off?
On this episode of The Sick Podcast, Eric Engels joins Tony Marinaro to discuss the pros and cons of Marc Bergevin's time with the Habs on the anniversary of his departure from the Canadiens. Later in the show, Tony Marinaro discusses Canada's devastating loss to Croatia and previews the next World Cup games.

Pulling together in the same direction wasn't the case during the tenure of Marc Bergevin. Locked On Canadiens - Daily Podcast on the Montreal Canadiens
The Montreal Canadiens were well represented at the NCAA Frozen Four tournament with seven prospects in all play. With just four teams left, that number is down to just two as Brett Stapley and Rhett Pitlick are set to play in the Frozen Four semi-finals next week. Scott however wants to make a note, that just because the stats aren't gaudy, that doesn't mean that the prospects didn't play well at the end of the day. Also, the hosts muse on whether or not Stapley can become another version of Jake Evans if he signs a contract with Montreal before his rights expire. Jordan Harris has finally arrived and joined the Canadiens down in Florida, and will practice off the ice before their game against the Panthers on Tuesday. Scott and Laura discuss how he fits into the lineup, and how the debut of Justin Barron might help set the expectations properly for his eventual debut in Montreal. The hosts also discuss the prospect of buying out players like Jonathan Drouin or Mike Hoffman this summer, and whether it's worth the trouble or if it's better to get any sort of trade return instead. The GM meetings are also underway in Florida, Scott and Laura discuss the new proposals for penalty review and the LTIR situation. If the rules change surrounding LTIR, can Kent Hughes and Jeff Gorton find a way to undo the work of Marc Bergevin? Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors!
