Good morning, everyone. And welcome to the Bed Head Chronicles. Today I want to talk about negative people. How many of you have someone in your life that whenever you talk to them or see them after you've seen them, you just feel so down, because they're talking about all the problems they've encountered, how tough life is, how sad they feel, they're talking about their injuries or their sicknesses or whatever it is.And you leave feeling drained, maybe you or someone. That when you meet up with another person, you talk about everything, that's gone wrong, everything that's missing, everything that you don't want to have happen. Are you that person that is focusing on everything that's wrong, not on everything that's right. Are you that person that's focusing and dwelling on the problems rather than focusing and dwelling on all possible solutions? Let's assume that this is someone else in your life and you almost dread having to see this person because you know that you're going to come back from that meeting, feeling down and depressed. Here's the thing be the eagle. There's this story. Eagles are the most beautiful, powerful birds, right? The only other bird that nips at an Eagle is the black Crow and the black Crow nips at the Eagle's wings and tries to get it to drop down. It hassles them. It is this, this energy. That's just trying to bring the Eagle down. Now the Eagle doesn't drop down due to the harassment of the black Crow. Instead, the Eagle flies to higher and higher and higher altitudes until finally the crows can't breathe at that altitude and they drop off. Be the Eagle. If you have someone in your life that is constantly negative or angry or upset about what's missing what they don't have all their problems.Negative energy is contagious, but so is positive energy, but you get to choose, you get to choose how you respond and how do you react to this person in your life? You can ask them more and more about their problems and then add how you can relate to their problems with your problems. Now that's dropping to that level.Choose to be the eagle. Choose to in that moment from your side, focus on what you have focused on what you appreciate. Focus on what's good focus on solutions you've come up with to overcome a problem, focus on other people. Here's another thing, guys, people that are depressed or dissatisfied in their lives. Most of the time they are obsessing over their own sadness, their own pain, everything that's missing, everything that's wrong. And it's a form of self obsession. I've been there. I've been that person. One of the most powerful ways to get out of that depression is to stop obsessing over yourself and everything that's wrong, all the problems you have and instead put your focus outside of yourself. Focus on other people give love, give support, give compassion, give encouragement. Because when you take yourself out of being obsessed with yourself and you focus on another, that depression will lift, you'll feel better about yourself and you will be having a positive impact on another human being's life. Now, if you have someone in your life, that is that negative person that is always focusing on their problems. Number one don't drop down to their level. Number two, don't reward the behavior. If they constantly, if every time they call, they have something negative to talk about. Don't answer the call, send a text.Hey, can't, can't talk to you right now, but then if they have good news, answer the phone, spend the time, talk to them for however long. So your rewarding that behavior. And you can also be an example. You could be an example in conversations with this person, you can say, yeah. You know, times are tough now with COVID and the Delta Variant and all of this, but wow it's been great to spend more time at home. It's been great that now that we all wear masks around, you know, we're not getting other types of bugs. The more you shift to focusing on the positive. The more, you redirect from a negative to a positive, they will witness that and they can learn from that. If you are consistent with that day after day after day, be consistent with your positivity, be consistent with your empowering focus, focusing on what you have, what you want, what you love, what you appreciate, what you can control. And try to steer away when they want to take you down that deep dark negative path, pull yourself out from going there, elevate higher and invite them to come join you where you are, be the Eagle. You got this guys. We all know. And this has happened to me. Like I said, I've been there. I've been there in those times of depression and sadness, where I'm focusing on everything that's wrong and everything that's missing, but I know better now.For more information about Siri please visit https://sirilindley.com
Good morning, everyone. And welcome to the Bed Head Chronicles. Today I want to share something that made such a big difference in my life that Tony Robbins taught me, trade your expectations for appreciation and see your entire world change. Think about this, I remember back as an athlete, I started triathlon, I was 23 years old. I didn't know how to swim. And my dream was to one day become one of the best in the world. And I made it six years later to the Olympic trials in Sydney, Australia, and I failed miserably. I choked and I was absolutely devastated. I'd been going well, I trained harder than I'd ever trained before I committed my whole life to making this happen. And I expected that all of that was going to lead me to making the Olympic team. I made the Olympic team, but I was an alternate, which is still great, but it wasn't my goal being achieved. So in that moment, I was so devastated. About how I failed and I fell short and I didn't make it. I had this expectation that by this time I would be at the level where I could have qualified. And then I thought about it six years ago, I was 23 years old and I didn't even know how to swim and I had these dreams of just becoming proficient in the sport. And I am here six years later. At the Olympic trials, having qualified to fight for a slot on the Olympic team. And it suddenly put me in the space of appreciation.Oh my God, I can't believe what I've accomplished in these six years. I was, I was terrible at this sport when I started and here I am, my God, I've made it to the start line of the Olympic trials. I am so grateful. All the amazing work that I've done, all the amazing progress that I've made. The fact that I've got sponsors and I'm racing professionally and suddenly I was just overcome with all this gratitude for how far I'd come in that six years. And I started appreciating, and after this race, what I started doing is I stepped up to every start line thinking, God, thank you. Thank you for having blessed me. Incredible mind that is so strong and powerful and resilient that I can fail and be disappointed, but I get back up, I dust myself off and I get back at it again. The fact that I've had the, the relentlessness and the determination and the work ethic to go from six years ago, not being able to swim to now racing professionally. So on the start line of every race, I would say, I just want to get out there and show myself. For all these gifts that you've blessed me with God or the universe, whatever you believe in, but I want to get out there and show you how much I appreciate these gifts that you have blessed me with. And I am, when that gun goes off, I'm going to leave nothing behind everything that I know I have inside of me. I'm gonna lay out on that race course and show you my gratitude and appreciation for what I have and what happened. I started winning. I won one world cup and then another world cup. And then I won the world championships, becoming the number one triathlete in the world in 2001, I traded my expectations for appreciation and my entire life changed. You may have someone in your life, a relationship, someone that you wish would do things differently or treat you differently or change in some way. And you're disappointed because they're not meeting your expectations, get rid of those expectations. You can't control another person. You can't change them. And just appreciate, appreciate who they are. Appreciate the wonderful things about them. Appreciate what you can learn from them. And that will remove so much pain, so much disappointment, and it will lead you to having a much better relationship with that person. A deeper relationship, a richer relationship and a more fulfilling relationship.Trade your expectations for appreciation and see your entire world change. Thank you, Tony Robbins for that incredible gift of sharing that with me years ago, as so often in my life, it changes everything.Fore more information about Siri visit https://sirilindley.com
Good morning, everyone. And welcome to the Bed Head Chronicles. Today I want to share what I believe is the secret to success in life. And that is that no matter what you're doing in any moment of time, do it with 100% of your effort. 100% of your presence. 100% of your mindfulness. Yes that means even making your bed in the morning, making your dinner, uh, you know, playing with your dog, give it 100%.If you get used to giving everything you do in your life, a hundred percent effort. That will lead you to the ultimate success in the things that matter most to you in your life. And here's something that you can do, think about during the day in every moment in every task you do in every interaction you have, are you giving a hundred percent effort? Are you only giving 100% effort? If somebody is watching or somebody is going to grade your work? Or you're going to have a certain result if you give a hundred percent, are you only giving a hundred percent in those moments where you're being watched or you're being tested or are you giving a hundred percent in every single moment, even when people aren't watching you, because the more moments where you can give a hundred percent effort in your life, no matter what you're doing in that moment, meditating with a hundred percent effort, meaning being perfectly present and, and, and really, you know, being present with what you're doing in that moment, while you're meditating, making the bed with a hundred percent effort, doing a really great job, making your meal with love and really taking care, everything that you do.If you do it and give a hundred percent effort, that is a secret to ultimate success in your life. Now, some days your a hundred percent effort, isn't going to lead to a great performance in whatever it is you're doing. But as long as you are doing the best that you can with what you have and giving a hundred percent effort in that way, that is going to lead you to the ultimate success. No matter what you do in life, give it a hundred percent, do it with intention, do it with purpose, and you will find that those big, huge, ultimate goals that you've set for yourself, you will achieve because you'll be in the habit of always giving your best. And that means that that's not only going to benefit you, but it's going to benefit every single person around you! Have an amazing day.Siri
Thanks for tuning in to Siri's Bed Head Chronicles. Your gonna love this. Basically our inner gremlin is our inner judge, our inner critic. And we are far harsher with ourselves than we would ever be with another human being, even if we really disliked them. Now, the thing is that this inner gremlin came when we were kids and it would listen to what authority figures were saying is, is right or what's wrong, or what you have to do to please people, what you have, what you do, if you displease people, what it's going to take to fit in.And it's that voice that's always telling you, you know, this isn't enough. Or, you know, you're not enough. You've got to do this. You got to do that then your critic and your judge. But the problem is that we are now we have way outgrown that gremlin that was there to protect us when we're kids, but we're not kids anymore. We now have our own beliefs. We now have our own opinions on things. We now have our own ways of doing things, but that voice still creeps in. And it's a habitual way of thinking. It takes over our minds sometimes and reminds us of all the times that we've failed or reminding us of why we should doubt ourselves or reminding ourselves of why we're not enough. And it's not a nice voice, but who doesn't have an inner gremlin. For more information about Siri visit https://sirilindley.comHave an amazing day, Siri
Good morning, everyone. And welcome to the Bed Head Chronicles. Today I want to talk about intermittent recovery, something that is so incredibly important, not just for athletes, but for every human being. We all have four energies that we have to be super consistent about taking care of. That's our physical energy, our mental energy, our emotional energy and our spiritual energy. Now, oftentimes we think that mental energy we don't need to take breaks from, that's simply not true. In this day and age, there's a culture in a lot of businesses where you just work until you get it done. Even if that means working all night every night for a week to get a certain project done, it's kind of rewarded if somebody does that. But the the fact of the matter is that you have to recover. You have to schedule in moments or minutes or hours of recovery so that you can replenish mentally restore, physically, perhaps going for a walk or going for a run. Emotionally disconnect from the project or the work at hand and spiritually take care of yourself, whether that's through meditation or breathing or whatever it is, but just like an athlete. As a professional athlete. Yes, I trained six to eight hours a day and it was brutal. It was hard work because in order to strengthen physically or strengthen mentally or strengthen emotionally or strengthen spiritually, you have to do the work. You have to stress your body, your mind, your spirit and your emotions. But that being said, you have to recover. Intermittently, so that you can continue to strengthen and make progress rather than burn yourself out, hit a plateau and eventually fall. So as a professional athlete, even though I was training six to eight hours a day in between sessions, I would completely disconnect.I would take a bath. I would do some meditation. I would read a book. I would call someone I love, I would did some, I would do something that would fill me up with energy and help me recover and rejuvenate. So I'd be ready for the next session. So in order to achieve the results that I did, yes, I had to hammer myself every single day, but in between I was recovering, not just physically through, you know, whatever practices I used, Epsom salt bath or massage or whatever it was that I use to recover my body.I also took time to relax my mind. I'd say, I'm not going to think about my training. I'm not going to think about my next session. I'm not going to think about my next race. I'm going to do something else that fills me up emotionally and spiritually and mentally so that I not only step up to that next physical session, physically recovered, but I'm also mentally strong, emotionally strong and spiritually ready. So those of you that are workaholics that work from the moment you get up to the moment you go to bed, please. I promise you that if throughout the day, maybe every 60 to 90 minutes or every two hours you take 15 minutes for yourself. Leave your phone at the desk. Leave your computer. Leave your work behind.Go outside, take some deep breaths. Take a short walk, rejuvenate disconnect for 10 to 15 minutes. And I guarantee you that your performance is going to be so much better than if you just hammer through the day. From the moment you wake up to the moment you go to bed. Intermittent recovery is so crucial.Crucial to not only individual success, but a business or a company success, you have to take that time. It's also rewarding in some businesses, you know, people don't want to take care of their bodies because if they go to work out at lunch break, people are going to think they're lazy or they don't care. That's a story. That's a story that you're telling yourself. That's a story that other people in the company may be telling you. But the truth is that if you take that time for you, if you take that time to go out for a walk, to go out for a run, to do a workout of some sort, that you are going to be better physically with more energy, better, emotionally, better, mentally, better spiritually.Your performance will be that much better. When you get back to work, you're going to be healthier. You're going to be sick less. You're going to have fewer days away from work. And because you're going to be happier. You're going to last a lot longer at that job. So guys, you've got to take care of yourselves, intermittent recovery isn't just for athletes. It's for every single human being. Yes we need to stress our bodies, our minds, our emotions, and our spirit in order to strengthen in those areas. That is true. But you also must allow for recovery in all four of those areas. Thanks for listening and have an amazing day.SiriFor more information about Siri visit https://sirilindley.com
Good morning, everyone. And welcome to the Bed Head Chronicles. Today I want to talk about relationships and that relationship that means the most to you. That could be your relationship with your husband or wife, your relationship with your kids, your relationship with yourself. What is that relationship that is most important to you?And now I want you to really think and analyze. How you have been participating in this relationship and what kind of a grade you would give yourself? Are you doing an, A plus in this relationship, you're always present, you're making time for this person. You're loving them in the way that they need to be loved. You're caring for this person, person supporting this person. How do you grade yourself on your participation in this relationship? Because here's the thing guys, sometimes life gets in the way of the things that matter most to us, we're so busy on our careers. Sometimes that we're not giving the person that matters most to us, the energy, the time, the presence that not only they deserve, but that is needed for this relationship to continue to grow.So if this relationship that means the most to you, you're not giving the kind of time necessary. You're not nourishing this relationship on a daily basis. It's time to recognize that and do something about it. So many of us, we work hard because we want to take care of that person. That means the most to us.But if we're working all the time and we're not taking care of that person by being present and enjoying life together with that person, we're kind of failing in that relationship. So really think about how much time are you giving to this relationship? How would you grade your performance in this relationship? And if you're not happy with that grade that you've given yourself, find ways, even if you're working so, so hard every single day, find a way to show this person how much you love them, how much they care. Be present when you are together and really work at nourishing this relationship so that it continues to grow and it continues to flourish. Have an amazing day, everyone.Siri
Good morning, everyone. And welcome to the Bed Head Chronicles. Today I want to talk about those things that seem to always happen. Maybe it's relationships, you always choose the same kind of guy or girl, and you always end up being hurt. Or you hire the same type of people all the time and it never seems to work out.The thing is guys. I truly believe that the universe or God will continue to give you the lesson until you actually learn it. We need to look at the things that seem like the things where you find yourself saying, Oh, that always happens to me. Well, think about it. Why does it always happen to you? Because what we don't change, we choose.Right? So in less we learn the lesson we're going to continually get slapped in the face with that same lesson. Until we actually learn it. And we actually change the type of people that you're looking to date or the type of people that you want to hire. So I hope that helps everybody really pay attention to the patterns in your life. The choices that you've made that never really seemed to work out, what do they have in common? Let's figure out the common denominator and get rid of that. So you can continue to make all the right decisions. That lead you to the success, the joy, the fulfillment that you're looking for. Good morning, everyone. And welcome to the Bed Head Chronicles. Today I want to talk about what to do when you are extremely motivated and want to make great things happen in your life. But you're surrounded by people that don't. They don't share that same passion, they don't share that same motivation. What do you do? Tell you the first thing you don't do, is lose your own motivation. Okay. I need you to rise higher and you can invite them to come join you where you are, but if they don't want to, you keep plugging away and going after your dreams. We become the five people that we spend the most time with in our lives. So look around you and make sure that the majority of your time you're spending with people that lift you higher. That are inspired and motivated themselves that want to achieve great things. If you're not surrounded by people with that, find people that want the same things you do that are inspired and motivated and want to work hard and want to achieve great things and the people in your life, if you live with them and they don't agree with your work ethic or, or your passion or the things that you're doing. You can just continue to be an example and don't stop because of the things that they're saying, but dig even deeper. And when they witness you, your hard work, your commitment, your consistency, and they see you achieve your ultimate dreams. You will be the inspiration for them to finally get started as well. There's this visual and it's of a bald eagle. And it's flying up high in the sky and a crow, a black crow comes and starts nipping at its wings. The only birds that try to attack other birds are black crows. So the bald eagles flying and the black crow is clipping at its wings. And what the eagle does is it just starts rising higher and higher and higher until it gets to an elevation where the crow can no longer breathe and the crow falls off. That's what you need to do. Don't let people that are telling you that you can't do it, or it's not possible, or why you working so hard. Don't let them drop you down to where they are. Rise above, rise above and soon they're going to stop clipping at your wings and you're going to sail forward and achieve all the things that you dream of.Rise higher. So if people around you or trying to de-motivate, you don't listen, that's not who you are. You can try and inspire them through your actions. You can invite them to join you where you are, but you keep plugging away. Because if you want to achieve great things, you want to be the champion of your own life. You're going to have to work hard. You're going to have to dig deep. You're going to have to show commitment. You're going to have to show discipline. It's what's required. Having an amazing day.For more information about Siri visit https://sirilindley.com
Good morning, everyone. And welcome to the Bed Head Chronicles. Today I want to talk about the power of the language that we use. Imagine someone comes up to you and says, Oh, I'm absolutely devastated. And you think, Oh my God. Something's happened, their houses burned down or somebody died that they love. And they say, yeah, you know, this client came in and they were unhappy with the services that I provided. I'm devastated. Just using that word that carries such weight, such power, is making this experience for this friend of mine. So awful when okay, a client was unhappy with the service you provided. Yeah. That's a bummer. Now, if she looked upon it as a bummer, she'd probably get over it pretty quickly. Right. But when she uses the term, I'm devastated, it makes it so much more painful than it has to be. Okay. So another example could be, you know, you're doing a workout and you're thinking, my God, this is just, this is excruciating. And you're still talking. So it's obviously not so excruciating that you can't talk, but in just saying that this is excruciating, it's going to make it so much more painful, not just physically, but emotionally than it has to be. So for me as an athlete, if I was doing a session that was really, really hard.I would say instead, wow, this is really pushing me. This is really challenging me. And that had this pull energy to it rather than this, you know, burden of, Oh my God, this is excruciating, which makes you just want to stop. So think about the words that you use to describe things happening in your life, things that have happened or things that are happening or what you're experiencing in that moment. And in the same note, you know, I could be out for a walk and say to my wife, this is absolute bliss. And guess what? It becomes an even more enjoyable experience because I'm calling it bliss, which is just the ultimate. And so that's what I experienced. We will experience the words that we use to describe. The things that we're experiencing in our lives. So choose carefully. Think twice before you use words like devastating or excruciating or hard, whatever it is. Think twice, because it will affect you, not just physically, but emotionally and mentally, choose wisely. Have a great day. For more information about Siri visit https://sirilindley.com
Good morning, everyone. And welcome to the Bed Head Chronicles. Today I want to talk about our coping mechanisms for when we're struggling or when we're experiencing emotional pain. So many go-to things like alcohol or drugs to numb the pain. Now the problem with that is number one, it's unhealthy for your body. But it's numbing you also to the potential joy. When you numb yourself to pain, you're numbing yourself to everything. You're numbing yourself to the good things in life, to the happy moments, to the things that could bring you potential joy. So you never actually end up getting out of your suffering because you don't have the experience of joy to help lift you out.I encourage all of you to feel your emotions, to work through your emotions. Understand that when we are struggling, there's a lesson in there. We can learn something about ourselves. We can learn something about other people. We can learn something about life because when we go through the pain, we develop a strength, a strength of character. That gives us a greater ability to overcome similar pain in the future. But most importantly, in going through the emotions, we're not numb, we're still awake. We're still aware. And we can start experiencing the joy from the good things in our lives that remind us of what life can be. It's reminding us of that compelling future that we all have, that we can move through our pain.Strengthened through it, learn from it and again, experienced joy in the future. So when you think about numbing, you think that you're escaping the pain, but you're really just prolonging it because you're numbing yourself to the good you're numbing yourself to the joy. So have the courage to step into the arena of your emotions and to face them head on.And to know that there is something that you're going to learn through this struggle and that you will grow and you will become more and your experience of life can again be beautiful. Thank you everybody. Have an amazing day. For more information about Siri visit https://sirilindley.com
Welcome to the Bed Head Chronicles. Last night, I was thinking about perfectionism, how so many of us in our lives think we have to be perfect to be successful, or to feel like we deserve love or to feel worthy. But the thing is that perfectionism is unattainable. It's impossible.Yet so many of us set these standards that in order to feel like I am worthy of love, I have to do all these things. And we end up getting disappointed. We end up feeling like we're not enough because we're trying to live up this standard that just doesn't exist. So I was thinking of the word perfection. And in my mind, I was coming up with all these different things that each letter could mean that is not only sustainable and attainable, but can actually strengthen us and see us living happier lives, more fulfilled lives, feeling, knowing our worthiness, knowing the magic we have within us. And this is what I came up with.So the new kind of perfection to strive for. That's not only possible, but will lead you to living your best life. Is this P for the power of Presence. When we are present, whether it be with our partners, whether it be with the work that we're doing in any moment, whether it be when we're working out, we are our most powerful selves when we are fully present in the moment. And also when you're fully present, you're not worrying about what happened in the future or fearing what's to come. E stands for the power of Energy. When we have energy, we can give so much more. When we have energy, we're more resourceful. And where does that energy comes from? It comes from what we choose to focus on the meaning that we give things. The energy comes from taking care of our bodies, working out, eating healthy, drinking a lot of water. R the power of Resilience, never giving up. We all know that in order to succeed, you've got to be willing to fail. You've got to be willing to be disappointed because when we fail, that's when we learn the lessons of what went wrong, that's how we grow. That's how we make progress. And that's how we ultimately succeed. Resilience is never giving up. Resilience is taking the lesson, learning from it, getting stronger from it and bringing that into your future. F the power of Faith or Focus. It could be either one. Faith for me is extremely important. Faith over fear always have faith. Not only that life is happening for you, not to you, but have faith in yourself, trust in yourself, believe in yourself. So I'm going to go with faith, but focus is another of the power of focus is extremely, powerful when it comes to setting and achieving your goals. E the power of Enthusiasm. We talked about E for energy, but this is enthusiasm being passionate about your life. Being passionate about your mission, being passionate about loving your partner and your friends being passionate about life that's enthusiasm. C the power of Courage or the power of Confidence. Now, the more courageous we are in our lives. When we're afraid, but we do something anyway, that's courage. And the more we do that, the more confidence we built. So both of those super important. T the power of being Thankful, gratitude, appreciating everything in your life, being grateful for this incredible body of yours. It gives you life, this heart, that beats for you every single day, being grateful for the people around you. That love you and care about you being grateful for the roof over your head or the clothes that are on your potty. Thankfulness is so incredibly powerful. I the power of Intention. I am intentional about every single thing I do every single day. I wake up. And first of all, I think about three things that I'm grateful for. And then I think about how I'm going to, if I'm going to work out, I'm intentional about what I want to accomplish during that workout. I want to go outside. I want to get fresh air. I want to free my mind. I want to just breathe in this amazing crisp there, whatever it is you're going to have dinner with your husband or your wife or your best friend, be intentional about how you want this experience to be. I want to have a loving time where we talk about, you know, the things that are going on in our lives and we can connect deeply and I can show them how much I love them. The power of intention. So incredibly important. O the power of Owning it, taking responsibility. It is so incredibly important when we make mistakes or we fall short or we do something. That affects us deeply. You have to own it. What was your partner say? It's a breakup. What was your part in the breakup? You can't blame the other person for, for everything that happened. What part did you play? What can you own or say you had a project and it didn't go as well as you hoped it would. Own that. When we own it, when we take responsibility, then we have self-respect and we're willing to learn from it because when we take ownership, we're opening ourselves up to all the learning and growing that needs to be done so that we can get a better result next time. And then, N the power of being Natural. And to me, that means being fearlessly, authentic. So living in alignment with your values means being authentic. And be fearlessly authentic. The people that don't like you or appreciate you for who you are. They don't belong in your life. Okay. So they don't need to be there in any way. But when you live fearlessly authentically you. You are living in alignment with your values, you are going to be happy. You are going to be powerful. You are going to be able to achieve all the dreams that you have. And most importantly, you will feel so fulfilled at the end. So you guys perfection. Perfection is unattainable. But if we look at perfection and each letter of this word as being a new kind of perfection to strive for. That's possible, and it really will lead you to living your best life. That's the power of presence, the power of energy, the power of resilience, the power of faith, the power of enthusiasm, the power of courage, the power of thankfulness. The power of intention, the power of owning it and the power of being natural. You got this guys have an amazing day.For more information about Siri visit https://sirilindley.com
Today, I want to share an epiphany I had as an athlete. An epiphany that was so liberating. And I shared this often with my own athletes. It was on a day I've been on a winning streak, and I've won four races and on the fifth race, in my mind I'm thinking everybody expects me to win. I expect me to win. But I was having a really bad day. I didn't feel good. I wasn't, nothing was flowing and the predominant thought in my mind is what's everyone going to think about how I'm performing today? And I had this epiphany, nobody's thinking about me and what I'm doing. Everybody is thinking about themselves and what they're doing in that moment and what they're trying to achieve and how they're performing, who was I to think that every single person out there racing and on the sidelines was only focused on me and what I was doing.I'm just not that important. None of us are. People naturally are focused on themselves and their own performance and what they're trying to achieve, what they're trying to create. They're not obsessing over what you're doing and watching your every single move and that, to me, it was so liberating because we so often are worried about, you know, trying to be perfect for everyone else around us.Perfection is impossible anyway, but we try to be perfect for everyone else around us because we think everybody's watching us all the time. The fact of the matter is they're not. They're focusing on themselves and on their own business. So in those moments, when you're thinking about trying to be perfect for the world around you, yes, people may be watching and commenting and celebrating your victories and maybe being there, you know, when things aren't going great. But you have to know that 100% of the time they're not focused on you. You keep the focus on you, be all that you are authentically and don't try and be something that you're not to please others. Be you and just do the best that you can with what you have in every moment for you, purely for you.Because what that does in return is when you thrive, when you achieve, when you accomplish the things that you hope to, or grow to certain levels that you hope to have a greater impact on the world, you'll do that. You'll have a beautiful and powerful impact on the world whether it's by inspiring people or touching people's lives or teaching people things to improve their lives, you will have a beautiful impact on the world but you will remove from that. The pressure of having to be perfect in every single moment.I hope that helps have an amazing day, everybody. For more information about Siri visit https://sirilindley.com
I was out for my morning walk. It's a beautiful day and it is my six year wedding anniversary with my amazing wife, Rebekah. My greatest triumph in life was marrying my wife. And of course, now, triumphing over AML and having survived and now thriving. As a young teenager, I used to dream of finding love that would fill up my heart and fill up my soul, finding someone that would love me as much as I love them. Finding someone that I knew would have my back and be my greatest supporter and vice versa. Finding someone that would make me laugh and bring out the best in me every single day. Someone that would love me for exactly who I am, and cherish me for exactly who I am.And that's my wife, Rebekah. She fills my heart with so much joy, so much love, so much laughter every single day. When I was diagnosed, my greatest inspiration to live was wanting to spend more time with this amazing woman. That is everything that I ever dreamed of. She inspired me. She was by my side, she was my strength, she was my rock, she was my superhero. And she always is. Every single day.To you, Rebekah, the love of my life. The love of not just this lifetime, but every lifetime ahead of us. You are everything I could ever dream of having in my life. You inspire me every single day. You make me want to be the best me I can be in every single aspect of my life.Your love for me is like the most beautiful and divine elixir, that sees me waking up every single morning with the biggest smile on my face and such deep gratitude in my heart. Praising God and the universe for delivering you to me, and me to you. You are my everything. My goal every single day is to light up your soul, to bring out the best in you, and to be everything you ever dreamed of. Every single day. I love you all have an amazing day to you and your love or your future love. Hold them tight. Appreciate them. Love them for all that they are. Celebrate them every single day and give your heart and soul to them, knowing that when you love with no bounds when you love with all your heart and you don't hold back, you create magic. You create a love that will sustain you not just in this lifetime but beyond. I love you, Rebekah. Happy Anniversary. For more information about Siri visit https://sirilindley.com
Seeing that we're at the beginning of 2021, I want to talk about manifesting our greatest desires. Now in life, we all have goals, things that we dream of accomplishing. Now that could be like for me in my younger years, wanting to become so good at the sport of triathlon that I could win a world championship. And I manifested that with all my heart. And more recently, when I got diagnosed with AML, I wanted to manifest getting healthy, surviving and thriving on the other side. Whatever it is you want to manifest in your life. It could maybe be the perfect relationship or building a business or being a part of something amazing. Making money. Here's the thing, when you want to manifest these desires, you have to come at it with amazing energy, good energy, powerful energy. If you're coming from a place of fear or scarcity or worry like I have to get this job because I need to make enough money to survive. That's coming from a place of fear and worry. But if you look at it, I want this job because it's going to challenge me. I'm going to grow. I'm going to be able to use my talents and abilities. I'm going to touch lives. I'm going to make a difference in this world. That's coming from a much more positive place that has more of a whole energy. In order to manifest your greatest desires, you've got to bring great energy to the manifestation process. How do we get good energy? Well, we can connect to why this matters to us. Why do you want to find that perfect relationship or manifest that perfect relationship? Because you have so much love to give so much energy to share. You want to share adventures. That's a positive high energy state that you're bringing to the manifestation process. So try to get out of the scarcity mindset. Try to get out of a fearful mindset and instead think about what you want to create in your life and bring to that, incredible good energy and the energy that empowers you and serves you because the universe will match your energy. When I was trying to heal, I wasn't thinking about I have to survive. I have to survive. I was thinking I want to survive. I've got so much loving to do. I have so much to give to the people around me and to the world around me. I have so much to learn, so much to share, so much work to do in this world. And that was coming from this energy of I want to live life. So, as you try to manifest, and remember, we don't just sit here and say, okay, I'm going to manifest. I'm going to manifest wealth in my life and sit and wait for it. You've got to go out and take action, but you've taken action with an energetic, positive mindset, with an energy of why this matters to you, how it's going to not only change your life but the people around you and the world around you. Bring that good energy into manifesting your greatest desires. And I know that you will be able to create anything and everything that you dream of. When I was training for triathlon, and remember, I sucked when I started. But I wanted this so bad and the only time I fell off the tracks on my way to becoming a world champion, is when I lost touch with the real reason why I was doing this. In the beginning, I remembered I was just so passionate about wanting to become proficient. In this sport that inspired me. In this sport that was so challenging and beautiful, and how people found themselves through the process. And I just love challenging myself every day and learning more and more about myself and learning how to overcome obstacles and I embraced that. But somewhere along the line, I started thinking that making the Olympics was the be all end all and I had to get sponsors and I had to make money and I lost touch with what really mattered to me. I started having some real big obstacles when that happened. But when I reconnected to why this mattered to me that I loved this sport, I was passionate about finding myself and discovering what I was made of.I started winning and I started achieving and I started making such incredible progress. So bring great energy to manifesting your desires. Believe in you. And most importantly, know that you deserve it. You deserve to manifest your greatest desires. You deserve to live the life that you dream of. You deserve it.So give yourself permission to receive what you so dream of creating so everybody manifests your greatest desires in 2021. I know you can. Anything and everything is possible. Bring great energy to it. Know that you're worthy, feel that and have the universe match your amazing energy and see everything that you dream of start coming into your life, but you have to work for it.Remember. It takes energy. It takes effort and it takes always staying connected to what your deep emotional reason why you want to make this happen.
