NFL Network analyst Bucky Brooks joins Rich in-studio where he breaks down the Green Bay Packers “game of chicken” with the New York Jets regarding compensation in the Aaron Rodgers potential trade, says which quarterback the Carolina Panthers should take #1 overall in the NFL Draft, if the Indianapolis Colts should draft a QB at #4 or sign Lamar Jackson away from the Baltimore Ravens, why Chargers RB Austin Ekeler might find tepid interest on the trade market due to his age and a deep running back class in this year's draft and more. Rich and Brockman get into a heated debate on whether or not the Jets should surrender two first-round picks to the Packers for Aaron Rodgers, and the guys react to Scottie Scheffler's 2023 Masters Champion's Dinner menu that closely resembles the kids menu at TGI Friday's . Bernhard Langer, member of the World Golf Hall of Fame, looks back on his wins on U.S. soil that included 2 green jackets and a life-changing week at the 1983 Sea Pines Heritage event at Harbour Town. Bernhard recalls the joy of winning the 1983 Masters playing with Seve Ballesteros on the final day. Unknowingly using the Lord's name in vain during the Butler Cabin presentation, he began his personal faith journey the following week at a Tour bible study taught by Larry Moody. When he comfortably repeated as Masters Champion in 1993 by 4 over Chip Beck, he was able to invoke God's name in a positive way during his post-victory remarks. Our guest this week, the amazing April Lund, shared her incredible journey from addict to elite runner in just a few years. April, age 41, recently won the Masters women's race at the USATF Cross Country Championships and will represent the United States with Ben Bruce on 2/19 at the World Masters Athletics Short Course Cross Country Championships in Bathurst, Australia. We caught up with April before she left for Australia, and wow she is a force! In 2015, April was an alcoholic in an abusive relationship. While she had run in high school and briefly in college, she hadn't run a step in years. With the encouragement of her husband and deep faith, April stopped drinking and used running as a tool in her recovery. She ran her first 5K in 27 minutes in 2015. Within a few years, she transitioned into an elite runner with a PRs in every distance, including a marathon PR of 2:39. April looks forward to crushing that marathon PR at Boston 2023, where she will be running in the elite field. April shares how balances training with her career as a full-time coach, along with her running and fueling philosophies. Most importantly, April shares how her gratitude for running and second chances have propelled her tremendous success. April can be found on Facebook and at Aprillundfitness.com. After a brief hiatus, Andy is back! Today he breaks down the training program he used to help 71 year old powerlifter Shelly Stettner win the 2022 IPF World Championship in the Masters 4 division, 63kg weight class. Shelly has an unusual background for an elite powerlifter, first discovering the barbell at age 65. Despite her late start, she has trained diligently and consistently, setting regular PR's for years, including Master's World Records in the squat, bench press, deadlift, and total. Andy attributes her athletic success to good genetics, determination, consistency, and attention to detail. After all, you don't become champion without the mindset of a champion, as Andy points out. Shelly has continually looked for ways to push her limits, while also staying on script with the training program. She also watches her nutrition closely, adhering to a custom nutrition plan from Nathan Payton, nutritionist to a number of elite strongmen and powerlifters. Andy's programming certainly didn't hurt either! Andy breaks down his programming approach for Shelly, which consisted of a typical 4-day split albeit customized over the years to Shelly's individual needs. He discusses how he varied exercise selection to keep Shelly's joints happy and manage lingering arthritis issues, and how they modified her lifting technique to work around some tweaks late in her prep for Worlds. Andy also details their attempt selection strategy at the meet. While Shelly did not set any PR's on individual lifts at the meet, she did PR her total and set World Records on each lift, which was part of the strategy. Shelly also chose to waive her third squat attempt to preserve her energy for the deadlift, where she knew she could pick up more pounds for her total than she could by taking a third squat attempt (and thus risk missing a bigger third attempt deadlift due to fatigue). This was another conscious decision, Andy explains, and one that he often makes for lifters during a meet. Golf at the professional level has been very exciting this year. There's been some pretty epic performance on the course (remember Rory and Colin's double hole out on 18 at Augusta? One Sunday?). New rivalries across the sport have emerged and have permeated just about every conversation across the globe. For this episode we're chatting with Trevor Immelman - the 2008 Masters Champion and captain of the International team for the Presidents Cup. Trevor has also played golf in 3 different tours over his career - this guy knows a lot about golf and we had to get his perspective on the game and learn how he's getting ready for the epic showdown at Quail Hollow. Tyreek Hill takes shots at the Chiefs, Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes on his first podcast and it is not a good look for the NFL's current biggest diva. We have it all. The PGA Tour had a great week with Rory McIlroy winning and taking a shot at LIV Golf CEO Greg Norman. But is it enough? These leagues are taking shots at each other as LIV actually had a Masters Champion win $4.75 million in their first tournament in London. And they're coming to Trump courses in America very soon. The January 6 sham hearing should be considered a new low for a political party as its simply a one sided tv show. These things should be illegal and there should be more rules of how Congress sets up hearings. And I've got an idea today that may help our country in this polarizing times. It's only an idea at this point but I'd sure love to know if you think it's a good one or a bad one.

Professional golfer and two-time Masters Champion, Bubba Watson, shot a 62 at 13-years-old and knew he had a future in the sport, by the time he was nearly 40, he saw 162 on the scale and thought he was dying. In this episode, Bubba gets emotional talking about his story and detailing his struggle with crippling fear, anxiety and stress, something he hasn't been willing to talk about until now, in his new book “Up & Down.“ Bubba shares what it was like opening up to his wife and those in his closest circle about his struggle, and why it is so important for others, especially men, to overcome the stigma associated with talking about their mental health. He credits his wife with many of his successes, both professionally and spiritually, and shares the conversation they had on their first date that set them on their adoption journey.
