Join Sis and Big Pops for a fun, fun talk about one of the things we love most—Nerd Stuff. We discuss out fav bits of nerd news over the past couple of months. There are some fun movies that are coming out this year: Barbie, Mario Bros, the DnD movie, Ghosted, Meth Gator, and Flash. There's also a lot of fun movies in the works like Detective Pikachu (pardon our lack of Pokémon knowledge), something called Meth Gator, a new Hellboy, and another Peter Pan film. We also mentioned LOTR: Return of the King returning to theatres for the 20th anniversary, Warner Bros talking with Peter Jackson about making a LOTR franchise, James Gun's huge DC media talk, and Nick Cage being EPIC as always. Pop's also shares his dream casting for a Fantastic Four Movie, which sounds pretty great! For bingeing, Big Pops has been enjoying the new movies such as Ant Man, Jesus Revolution, and the Confession, He's also still really enjoying those Star Trek shows—Discovery and Picard. Sis has been watching Doctor Who starting with the 9th doctor, watching Vox Mochina, and listening to a lot of podcasts. Then, Pops shares his pull list! This week he introduces us to Nightwing Issue 101 by DC; Fantastic Four Issue 4 by Marvel; as well as Junkyard Joe Issue 5 by Image. His new number 1 is Master of the Universe – Masterverse by Dark Horse. With his Book of the Week being Human Target Issue 12 by DC Black Label. This week we chatted all things Doctor Who, mainly the 10th Doctor, as Sis and her hubs are binge-ing it from the beginning. AS well as a Doctor Who comic available on Amazon Prime. This episode was originally recorded on 03/09/23. Check us out on twitter @sisandbpops

If the title didn't give it away, this will, Christopher Walken is joining Dune Pt. 2, and that's honestly the coolest thing I've heard this week. Starfield is delayed, and Fall Guys finally releases. Meanwhile, The Boys promises more action in Season 3, She-Hulk is thirsty, and Rick and Morty are going Anime. Star Wars is shifting focus to TV and Spinal Tap isn't done turning things up to 11.

Whatever her past, and the Doctor’s future, holds, River will make sure that he has fun untangling the mystery... 1. Expiry Dating by James Goss The first time the Doctor met River Song, he saw her die. And now she’s asking him on a date. Well, not a date, exactly... More of a mission. But the Doctor isn’t at anyone’s beck and call. Or so he thinks. With billions of lives hanging in the balance, can the Doctor afford not to do whatever River wants? Whichever one of him she asks? 2. Precious Annihilation by Lizzie Hopley When jewels become lethal in the London of 1912, both River and the Doctor turn up to find out why. A mystery takes them centuries into the past, and onto the high seas, where a superstitious crew edges towards mutiny. The star-crossed couple are about to find out that, while gemstones inspire jealousy, love can be the deadliest treasure of all... 3. Ghosts by Jonathan Morris River and the Doctor meet on the most haunted planet in the galaxy. The Doctor’s not sure it’s an ideal date - until they discover a mystery. Something is wrong with the ghosts. Something might even be killing them... And as the Doctor and River investigate, the truth of what’s happening on the planet of ghosts may prove deadly for them both. This boxset release contains all three stories, plus additional behind the scenes interviews.

in this episode the Chris and I each pick out 6 Doctor Who episodes that we feel like a person who is not a fan of Doctor Who, could watch and become a fan or Whovian. We express our love for The Doctor and take some time to talk about how we became Whovians ourselves. We hope to spread the word and get people who might not be into Doctor Who to give it a chance, with these insightful episodes that we picked out.

This week we cover the last story in the 10th Doctor Box Set Vol 3 with The Creeping Death, and for the first time pay a visit to The Lost Stories range by covering the poetically-titled The Fragile Yellow Arc Of Fragrance. Will the last 10th Doctor story manage to land its story of 50's fog-bound aliens? Will the lyrically imaginative Fragile Yellow Arc succeed in telling its story of love and loss? Plus there's wildly unfounded speculation as to who might return to Doctor Who via Big Finish, and we dip into the post-bag to come up with some recommendations for the Seventh Doctor
This week we're back with the 10th Doctor as we explore the first two stories in the third volume of the 10th Doctor box set. How do the 10th Doctor and Donna work in a haunted house story? Does Wilf, brought so vividly to life by Bernard Cribbens, work as well here as he did on TV? Are the Judoon a success on audio? Is that old magic there between Tennant and Tate? So many questions - step back into the Davies era with us as we find out! www.jgmcquarrie.scot

Episódio sobre os episódios especiais do 10º Doutor
This week we have the last two episodes from the second 10th Doctor Box set, as Kevin and JG cover The Sword Of The Chevalier and Cold Vengeance. The former sees a trip to Regency England, and the latter sees the 10th Doctor encountering the Ice Warriors for the first time. But will Regency England prove to be all pomp and circumstance and no substance? And will the Ice Warriors be able to warm their hearts or will this story leave them out in the cold? (Ok, no more temperature-based puns, I promise)
The Tenth Doctor returns! This week JG and Kevin cover the first episode of the new Tenth Doctor Box Set Volume 2, Infamy of the Zaross. This also features a first, with the return of Rose and Billie Piper. But will David Tennant and Billie Piper be able to recapture that old magic? Plus there's a discussion of the final Peter Capaldi episode, Twice Upon A Time. Just how was the Twelfth Doctor's final hour? And just how good was the return of the First Doctor?
@TinDogPodcast revires the superb #DoctorWho 10th Doctor Box Set - Vol 2 from @BigFinish This title was released in November 2017. It is exclusively available to buy from the BF website only. "10/10 ‘The Tenth Doctor Adventures: Volume Two’ perfectly capturing the settings, senses and tone of the era. For a whole generation of fans this will be an essential buy. Hopefully, the one that drops them into the rabbit hole of Doctor Who on audio." "David Tennant, Billie Piper, and Camille Coduri bounced off each other so effortlessly that it’s like they’ve never been away." "More than a decade on, this volume recaptures the wit and the pace of the Tennant/Piper pairing and both seem to slot happily back in their roles." 2.1 Infamy of the Zaross by John Dorney When Jackie Tyler takes an away day to visit her old friend Marge in Norwich, she finds her holiday immediately interrupted in the worst way possible - an alien invasion! The infamous Zaross have come to take over the Earth. Or have they? After Jackie calls in the Doctor and Rose to deal with the menace, it soon becomes clear that this is a very unusual invasion indeed. The Doctor is about to uncover one of the most heinous crimes in the history of the galaxy. And if he can't stop it an awful lot of people are going to die. 2.2 The Sword of the Chevalier by Guy Adams 1791 and the Doctor and Rose get to meet one of the most enigmatic, thrilling and important people in history: The Chevalier d’Eon. She used to be known as a spy, but then she used to be known as a lot of things. If there’s one thing the Doctor knows it’s that identity is what you make it. Choose a life for yourself and be proud. Mind you, if the Consortium of the Obsidian Asp get their way, all lives may soon be over... 2.3 Cold Vengeance by Matt Fitton The TARDIS arrives on Coldstar, a vast freezer satellite, packed with supplies to feed a colony world. But there are cracks in the ice, and something scuttles under the floors. Soon, Rose and the Doctor encounter robots, space pirates and... refuse collectors. As Coldstar's tunnels begin to melt, an even greater threat stirs within. An old enemy of the Doctor puts a plan into action - a plan for retribution. Nobody's vengeance is colder than an Ice Warrior's. Limited to just 5,000 copies and available exclusively from bigfinish.com, this lavish book-sized box set includes exclusive artwork, photography, articles, a one-hour documentary featuring interviews with the stars and production team – alongside a bonus documentary examining the worlds of Doctor Who at Big Finish.
