Toilet-bound Hanako-kun on AidaIron yliluonnollinen toimintasarja, jossa lukiotyttö päätyy tutustumaan koulunsa seitsemään mysteeriin ja muihin henkiolentoihin. Ajankohtaisaiheena puhumme korealaisen sarjakuvateollisuuden muutoksesta mangan halpakopioista netissä julkaistaviksi webtooneiksi. Lukujonossa tutustumme Kamome Shirahaman debyyttimangaan Eniale & Dewiela. --- Kommentoi | Bluesky | Mastodon | X | Threads | Instagram --- (00:57) – KUULUMISET: DESUCON JA ANIME-ALIAS - Desucon 2025:n ohjelmakartta (01:30) – KUULUMISET: JAKSOKUVAT - Instagramissa on kustomoidut jaksokuvat - Mainittuja jaksokuvia: - Jakso 84 (Fullmetal Alchemist) - Jakso 9 (Delicious in Dungeon) - Jakso 112 (Wotakoi) - Jakso 97 (Perfect World) - Jakso 52 (After the Rain) - Jakso 50 (Kuroshitsuji) - Jakso 73 (Sweat and Soap) - Jakso 92 (I Want to Hold Aono-kun So Badly I Could Die) - Jakso 111 (Magic Knight Rayearth) - Jakso 107 (The Royal Tutor) - Jakso 62 (Saiyuki) - Jakso 1 (Patriootti Moriarty) - Jakso 36 (Patriootti Moriarty) - Jakso 60 (Death Note) - Jakso 41 (Dr. Stone) - Jakso 17 (Rumiko Takahashi) - Jakso 100 (One Piece, osa 1) - Jakso 103 (One Piece, osa 2) - Jakso 51 (Mitä on isekai?) - Jakso 72 (Mitä ovat kuolemanpelisarjat?) - Jakso 76 (Miksi pahikset kiinnostavat?) - Jakso 93 (Millainen on hyvä mangakansi?) - Jakso 109 (Keitä ovat mangan päähenkilöt?) - Jakso 98 (Miksi kaikki manga näyttää samalta?) - Jakso 66 (Miksi mangassa on ääniefektejä?) - Jakso 82 (Mikä on nimen merkitys mangalle?) - Jakso 89 (Mangan yhdeksän vuosikymmentä) - Jakso 61 (Miksi mangasarjat ovat niin pitkiä?) - Jakso 11 (Kenelle mangaa tehdään?) Send us a Question!MOVIE DISCUSSION: Shirleon joins Melvin to discuss Death Note (2006)... but not the one you're thinking of! No, they discuss the live-action adaptation that released earlier the same year as its anime counterpart. The two discuss how this adaptation functions on its own as well as compare it to the anime adaptation, and explore the ins-and-outs of Death Note as a whole. Topics:(PATREON EXCLUSIVE) 22-minutes discussing which of the two movies, The Fantastic Four: First Steps or Superman, will receive the better box-office numbers, if the industry will even be impressed with their sales, and if general audiences have moved on from superheroes. (PATREON EXCLUSIVE)There's some deviation between this live-action adaptation and the anime, but nothing quite as egregious as the Western Netflix adaptation.Briefly talking Ryuk and the CGI.There's an "it" factor that's missing with this adaptation, and Melvin takes some time to explore what that may be.Death Note has a lot of monologues, but they seem to be missing from this live-action adaptation. The two discuss why that might matter.Light Yagami is very self-controlled but profoundly emotional, and neither this live-action adaptation nor the Western Netflix adaptation have figured out how to handle that pairing.Talking about L's live-action portrayal.Talking about the ending.Recommendations:Andor (2022-2025) (Series)Yami Shibai (2013 - X) (Anime) Support the showSupport on Patreon for Unique Perks! In this episode, we talked all about Berserk Of Gluttony Which was a recommendation from Jeb. We touch on Fate's gluttony skill, which causes hunger that does not end and it also absorbs the stats and abilities of those he kills monsters and humans alike. The show had a fair number of positive points but it also a decent number of negative points as well.Next Week's Pick: "Witch Hunter Robin" Have you had the chance to watch Berserk Of Gluttony or any of our previous selections? This week we continue with Gate part 2 an isekai that take a different approach to the usually genre. And just like part 1 it did not disappoint at all. We get some resolutions that we were hoping for. The story progressed in a way that we predicted, it answered most of our questions and gave us a somewhat of an ending. All in all this is a story that is worth a watch just not if you are new to the genre.Next Week's Pick: "Berserk of Gluttony" Have you had the chance to watch Gate Part 2 or any of our previous selections? In this episode we dive into Gate part 1 an isekai that take a different approach to the usually genre and it was a recommendation from "Elf Daddy Girl Issues" and "Danner536". This anime certainly doesn't pull it's punches on how things would likely go when a you pit medieval against modern military dishing out some “f around and find out” pretty much through the whole story. The Character development and story was solid for the show and it was well worth the watch.Next Week's Pick: "Gate Part 2" Have you had the chance to watch Gate Part 1 or any of our previous selections? This week is a solo week as Rick is out sick and Jack dives into I'm Quitting Heroing. Thank you Goose for the recommendation! This anime changes up the normal anime narrative for Hero style anime in that rather then a journey to defeat th Demon lord our MC Leo is trying to join them. But that is just the start of it. This anime is well worth the watch and is has some comedic moments but it was still an overall solid story. So if you are looking for something that is unique then this may be for you.Next Week's Pick: "Gate Part 1" Have you had the chance to watch I'm Quitting Heroing or any of our previous selections? This week we get back into the goblin slaying world of Goblin Slayer. This season while our MC is still the main focal point we start to learn more about the others that are with him. Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku on Fujitan netissä alkanut romanssiteemainen huumorisarja, jossa kolme pariskuntaa tasapainottelee yhtäältä parisuhteen, toisaalta nörttiharrastusten ja työssäkäyvän aikuisen arjen yhdistämisen kanssa. Years of Virginity Can Make You a Wizard?! - The Guy She Was Interested in Wasn't a Guy at All (11:24) – WOTAKOI: RAKENNE JA HUUMORI - Sarjassa on paljon väli-infosivuja (kuva) ja varsinaisten lukujen välisiä bonusstrippejä (kuva) - Sivun pituisten strippien “nimet” sivun alalaidassa usein jatkavat ajatusta: - Hän on kiva kaikille, eikä vain minulle (kuva) - Minkä väriset alushousut (kuva) - Suuri osa sarjasta koostuu pienistä skenaarioista, jotka eivät varsinaisesti kuitenkaan ole strippejä (kuva) - (Petteri muistelee tässä että viimeisen pokkarin suudelma olisi ollut ensisuudelma, mutta oikeastihan sellainen oli jo ensimmäisessä pokkarissa) - Pokkarijulkaisuun lisätyt pitemmät jatkotarinat luovat myös isompaa dramatiikkaa (kuva) - Vakavuuden ja humoristisuuden yhdistelyä (kuva) (29:21) – WOTAKOI: NÖRTTI- JA TYÖELÄMÄN KUVAUS - Jakso 67, jossa puhuimme Genshikenistä, joka kertoo nolkytluvun nörttikuvasta - Narumin mielestä nörtit ovat ällöjä, mutta kyse on ehkä enemmän hänen omasta päähänpinttymästään ja ikävistä kokemuksistaan (kuva) - Kabakura kokeilee lukea poikarakkausmangaa (kuva) - Kaiji-naama ja JoJo-naama (kuva) - Shoko Nagakawa (41:52) – WOTAKOI: HAHMOKERRONTA (45:00) – WOTAKOI: NARUMI MOMOSE JA HIROTAKA NIFUJI - Ranka Lee Macross Frontierista - Hirotakalle Narumi oli ensimmäinen ja tärkeä ystävä, eikä Narumi ole tätä ennen ihan tajunnut sen merkitystä (kuva) - Hirotakan korvalävistys (kuva) - Hirotaka kokee epävarmuutta siitä, että hänen ja Narumin suhteessa ei ole samaa kipinää kuin Koyanagin ja Kabakuran (kuva) - Hirotaka kokee ystävyyden taian (kuva) - Narumi hakee huomiota (kuva) - Tarinan alun perin aloittaneessa one-shotissa seurustelu aloitetaan aika hassusti… (kuva) - …mutta viimeisessä pokkarissa nähtävä Hirotakan näkökulma maalaa kohtauksen eri sävyiseksi (kuva) (01:00:33) – WOTAKOI: HANAKO KOYANAGI JA TARO KABAKURA - Koyanagi ja Kabakura riitelevät koko ajan, mutta onneksi myös pyytävät anteeksi ja tulevat vastaan (kuva) - Kabakura suojelee Narumia (kuva) - Bonuskuvassa Kabakura tekee TV-animen OP-tanssia - Mätsäävät riipukset! This week we dive into the second season of Bofuri: I Don't Want to Get Hurt, so I'll Max Out My Defense. The story largely just continues on with Maple and her guild, Maple Tree, continue exploring new levels and content in the game they play, New World Online. Maple continues to stick to her strategy of only maxing out her defense stat, continually stumbling upon overpowered, game-breaking skills that baffle the game's developers despite the fact that they were the ones that put them in. On thing more notable is that we felt like Season 2 gives more attention to the other guild members.Next Week's Pick: "Goblin Slayer Season 2" Have you had the chance to watch Bofuri Season 2 or any of our previous selections? In this episode, we talked all about Code Geass Season 2. We dug into how it picks up right after the Season 1 cliffhanger, with Lelouch living a normal school life until his memories come back and he jumps right back into leading the Black Knights. Things quickly go from a local rebellion to full-blown global war. We also revisited out discussion on how Lelouch's Geass works, especially its limits as a result of that some of that talk got a little off-track. But overall, we both agreed Season 2 tied up a lot of loose ends from the first season and delivered a strong finish. Although Jack docked it a point for some gaps and unanswered questions. All in all it was a solid watch, well worth your time, especially if you liked Season 1.Next Week's Pick: "Bofuri Season 2" Have you had the chance to watch Code: Geass Season 2 or any of our previous selections? In this episode, we discussed Season 1 of Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion. And while we spent the episode mostly talking about the show and how it had and amazing story with some great writing. We also pointed out a couple of flaws along with a discussion about the Geass power's limits also got pretty heated and went way off into hypotheticals, maybe derailing things a bit. And the biggest negative we both agreed on? That incredibly frustrating cliffhanger ending! In this episode, we're diving into season two of Jormungand. This season picks right up where the first left off, continuing the the journey of Jonah and the arms dealer, Koko. Season two delves deeper into Koko ambitious plan she calls "Jormungand" and how it is designed to reshape the global landscape in a maner of speaking and basically position her crew as the world's last soldiers in her mind. The show does maintains its globe-trotting adventure style, while also exploring deeper character development.Throughout this season though there were some significant shifts in character dynamics so to certain plot devices and Koko becomes more focused, driven by personnel loss, and Jonah faces conflict in his ideologies. The story moves from simply telling viewers about characters' pasts to showing their abilities. Season 2 does a great job balancing fast-paced action with character interactions, creating a solid conclusion to the series.Next Week's Pick: "Code: Geass Season 1" Have you had the chance to watch Jormungand Season 2 or any of our previous selections? This week we talk about Jormungand season 1 and dives headfirst into the gritty world of arms dealing through the eyes of Koko, a cunning arms dealer backed by a team of seasoned bodyguards, veterans, and Jonah, a young boy-soldier. It explores themes of revenge, morality, weapons trade, giving you a solid story that is packed with action and drama. And the shows unique art style and dual-episode arcs provided engaging mini-stories that give you the feel of several short stories in 1 longer story. Although there were some brief moments that seemed slightly out of place, the series remains a strong recommendation for us if you're looking for an intense, action-packed show that has a decent enough story to go with it.Next Week's Pick: "Jormungand season 2" Have you had the chance to watch The Saint's Magic Power Is Omnipotent or any of our previous selections? This week we discuss "Saint's Magic Power is Omnipotent" a fantasy romance isekai that is not like your typical action-packed isekais, this anime focuses on character growth through a slow-burn narrative following Sei. Instead of dwelling on this, Sei pursues her passions at a research institute where she discovers her magical abilities and lends a helpting hand to her new home. This isn't for viewers seeking fast-paced action but perfect for those who appreciate a strong female lead in a gradual romantic storyline, making it an excellent "palate cleanser" between more intense shows.Next Week's Pick: "The Saint's Magic Power Is Omnipotent season 2" Have you had the chance to watch The Saint's Magic Power Is Omnipotent or any of our previous selections? This week we dive into Kaiju No. 8. We break down the series, which follows Kafka Hibino, a 32-year-old man who once dreamed of joining JAKDF, but instead finds himself cleaning up after the battles. But then his life changes when he ingests a parasitic kaiju, transforming into a powerful humanoid monster known as Kaiju No. 8. We discuss the anime's strengths, from its storytelling and humor to its lack of filler episodes and excellent character development while also getting lost in the weeds for a couple of minutes as well by touching on the differences between sub and dub translations, the anime's world-building, and its standout music and animation.Next Week's Pick: "The Saint's Magic Power Is Omnipotent" Have you had the chance to watch Kaiju No. 8 or any of our previous selections? This week we talk about Magical Girl Spec Ops Asuka and its dark twist on the magical girl genre. The story follows Asuka, a former magical girl struggling with PTSD, forced back into battle. While the show portrays trauma and military themes, the pacing, forced shifts in tone, and poor character development weaken it as a whole. We debate whether magic undermines the stakes, with Rick arguing it negates physical consequences, while Jack and CJ emphasize the psychological toll.Next Week's Pick: "Kaiju No. 8"Have you had the chance to watch Magical Girl Spec Ops Asuka or any of our previous selections? We had a blast this week diving into the comedic anime Let This Grieving Soul Retire! It was a wild and interesting adventure filled with humor and action. While we highlighted many of the anime's positive aspects, we couldn't ignore the areas that held it back just a bit. The storytelling and comedy were decent, but we felt the character development could've been stronger. Still, it's absolutely worth at least one watch—if you're in the mood for something lighthearted, you'll have a great time with it! This week, we talk about The Place Promised in Our Early Days, a solid movie set in an alternate reality. The story worked well for Jack but felt shaky at best for Rick. It was a Jack solo episode this week, and let's just say… it wasn't his favorite. The pick was inspired by Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, but it veered into parody territory, tweaking the original tale to fit the writer's vision. For Jack, though, it just didn't hit the mark. The story felt bland—like it was thrown together without a strong, cohesive narrative. Definitely one he wouldn't revisit. This week, we're exploring a dark comedy with a unique take on the classic Truck-kun trope. Instead of transporting someone unwillingly, it brings over someone wishing to leave their current life. Our main character actively seeks death in this new world but ends up surviving against all odds at every turn. This twist on the usual formula offers a fresh perspective, but it's important to note that the show deals heavily with themes of suicide, making it a thoughtful yet challenging watch. We dive into a true classic, based on a film from the 1950s. It was genuinely entertaining, with solid storytelling and decent music. This week we get transported to another world only before we actually get there we get lost in the weeds with random details but after a few minutes we get back on track and then finally get to our destination. And it was an interesting one at that. It takes the normal genre and give the protagonist a set of skills that they had in their previous life but even with that, it ultimately still follows the same tropes for the anime and they also leave out a lot of detail, but even with that it was an entertaining watch. Next Week's Pick: "Samurai 7" Have you had the chance to watch The Reincarnation of the Strongest Exorcist in Another World or any of our previous selections? This week, we explore another mesmerizing Ghibli movie! It's a must-watch, filled with the magical elements we've come to love from Ghibli. However, it does carry a heavier tone in some spots. And if Spirited Away wasn't your cup of tea, this one might not be either, as it shares a similar vibe—but if you like it then you may just like this one was well and it is also perfect for introducing anime newcomers to this fascinating genre. Next Week's Pick: "The Reincarnation of the Strongest Exorcist in Another World" Have you had the chance to watch The Boy and The Heron or any of our previous selections? This Week's Anime: "Love Tyrant" This week's episode comes from a recommendation by Goose in our Discord community. "Love Tyrant" (Renai Bōkun) was an interesting choice, to say the least. This anime pokes fun at other anime tropes, and while it follows the standard harem style, it's packed with comedy, making it an easy and enjoyable watch. If you're looking for something light and funny without a deep storyline, this is a perfect pick for a quick break from your usual anime lineup. "A Waste of time" - My Anime List (MAL) reviewer The conversation revolves around one-star reviews of the big 3 Shonen - Naruto, Bleach and One Piece. The hosts discuss the common themes and criticisms found in the My Anime List reviews, including slow pacing, repetitive storylines, excessive sentimentality, and poor storytelling techniques. They also highlight the issue of unnecessary length and the lack of lasting consequences in some of these anime. While some of the critiques have valid points, others seem to be rooted in trolling or lack a sophisticated analysis.
