The Wests Tigers Podcast returns with Episode 473 as Nick is joined by Josh and Aaron for a big discussion covering State of Origin II, the latest Tigers news, and this weekend's clash against the Dolphins.Aaron was at the MCG for Origin II and gives us his firsthand account of the atmosphere and experience as QLD squared the series. We also discuss Laurie Daley's controversial decision to leave Api Koroisau on the bench for the entire 80 minutes, whether that could happen again in Game III, and what selection changes NSW might make for the decider. The boys also dive into the Israel Folau story after claims emerged that Benji Marshall was interested in bringing the former dual international to the club before the NRL stepped in.Plus, with rumours circulating Luciano Leilua and Shawn Blore's futures at their current clubs, we ask whether either player could help solve the Tigers' back-row depth issues. Finally, we preview the Dolphins clash. The Redcliffe-based club arrives on a six-game winning streak, but they'll be without several key players, including Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow, Selwyn Cobbo and Thomas Flegler. Can the Tigers take advantage and make it back-to-back wins? All that and plenty more on Episode 473 of the Wests Tigers Podcast. Following a humiliating 44-24 defeat in Origin 2 at the MCG, State of Origin Game 2 leaves the NSW Blues in absolute tatters. Michael Carayannis and Brent Read unload on the disgraceful second-half performance, calling out Laurie Daley getting out-coached again by Billy Slater's rampant Maroons. With the series heading to a Suncorp decider, the boys orchestrate an unprecedented roster cleanout, demanding up to 10 player changes. They break down the diabolical bench rotation that left Api Koroisau completely unused, the catastrophic Dylan Lucas selection blunder over Haumole Olakau'atu, and why bringing back Latrell Mitchell, Tom Trbojevic, and Stephen Crichton is the only way New South Wales can bully their way to an improbable series victory.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

The Wests Tigers racked up their fifth win of the season on Thursday night, beating the Raiders 33-14 in front of just over 17,000 fans. In what was another memorable game for the club, the Tigers didn't concede a point with all thirteen men on the field, only a sin-bin to Api Koroisau gave Canberra a chance. On this edition of the Wests Tigers Podcast, Joel, Jordan, and Declan are joined by Mac from the Wests Tigers Faithful podcast to discuss the big win. But, there's also some breaking news that dominates the conversation - the potential loss of Jarome Luai to the new PNG franchise in 2028. Our skipper has visited the new team's facilities, and he could be making a big decision in the coming days.Is this a tragedy for Wests Tigers? Or, could it actually be a blessing? Both sides of the argument are put forward in our discussions about this still-developing story. As always, be sure to have your say on this hot topic on the Wests Tigers Podcast Forum.Naturally, there's plenty of discussion about the game against the Raiders, including the impressive goal-line defence shown by our boys (well, when we had 13 on 13!). Api's potential suspension also falls under the microscope with Mac predicting Benji Marshall might spring a surprise move if he isn't available against the Sharks. We also talk fullback, if Jahream Bula isn't right to go this week. Will it be more of the same? Or has a corner been turned? And what is a pass mark from this point after scoring just two wins out of nine recent matches?Eddie asks a question that I think any Wests Tigers fan would struggle to answer - has the team improved as the season has progressed? The star of Sunday afternoon at Leichhardt Oval, Taylan May, also comes in for closer inspection with the boys looking at what he could bring not just for the rest of the season, but in coming seasons too. There's a discussion on the new long-term contract for Api Koroisau. Will Api's long service at the club make him a Wests Tigers legend? It wouldn't be a Wests Tigers Podcast without Adam Doueihi being on the run sheet, and this edition is no different. The boys discuss his market worth for the 2026 season. After being a bit of a Debbie Downer through 2025, Eddie has captured some positivity and may have a little hope for the team in 2026 (amazing what a slim win over the worst team in the comp can do!).The Panthers clash this weekend is also previewed, and Yioti has gone back in the Wests Tigers time-tunnel for this week's quiz. Just when things look like turning at Wests Tigers, we seem to end up back in the doldrums. As things stand, there's not much to be happy or optimistic about, and yes, that does come through on this edition of the Wests Tigers Podcast. After surrendering to an under-strength Manly at Brookvale Oval on Friday night, Wests Tigers fans are now braced to lose another young prospect, Tallyn Da Silva. Reports say the young hooker, touted by former coach Tim Sheens as a generational talent, has played his last game for us. But, in true Wests Tigers fashion, we really could use him, at least this weekend, with Api Koroisau being unavailable due to a failed HIA. Up for discussion on this edition of the podcast is the logic of letting Tallyn go to another club mid-season (although we struggle to find much logic in it). The effects of letting players walk mid-season with nothing or very little in return. We ask, why should the club's loyal members keep tipping in their hard-earned cash when the club consistently gives up on seasons at the mid-way point? And will the team, after six straight losses, now drop its bundle completely? Or, will there be a turnaround? There's a strong list of 'One Word' submissions from the Wests Tigers Podcast Forum, ranging from "Depressing" to "Confused" and 'Groundhog Day". Despite the woes, there are a couple of positives discussed, including another win for the NSW Cup team and the performances of the Fainu brothers on Friday night. Eddie has a new game to bring us as well. Unfortunately, it is another post-loss edition of the Wests Tigers Podcast, but we hope that you do enjoy it. The Lachlan Galvin saga has continued this week, leading to this bonus edition of the Wests Tigers Podcast. After a strong debate after the story broke on Monday night, followed by more analysis by Eddie and the boys on Wednesday, we now have this third pod for the week. We take a look at the press conferences held by Benji Marshall, then Wests Tigers' captains, Api Koroisau and Jarome Luai. Joel, Garry, and Nick give their thoughts on what was said and why we're starting to see the potential positives of testing out the coach and players' responses to a situation like this. Most importantly, comparing that response to what we have seen in the past from our club and playing group. Is this going to be the issue that finally helps turn Wests Tigers into a more focused and battle-hardened team? Let's make a statement against the Eels! We then turn our attention to the big Monday afternoon clash with the Parramatta Eels at CommBank Stadium. The Easter Monday fixture looks set to be a memorable encounter with the Wests Tigers no doubt out to tell the world they're bigger and better this year, with or without Galvin. The stats show Wests Tigers should be firm favourites, and the Eels have also lost a few players in recent days, but they do welcome back Mitch Moses for the game. We also look at the reshuffle of the Tiger's team, including the move to the halves for Adam Doueihi, and hopefully the remergence of Luai in Batman mode. The return of experienced centre Brent Naden also draws our attention. Big guests at the Ambush. Don't forget to get along to the free Ambush event before the game at CommBank, with two special guests ensuring it should be a memorable experience. Jeral Skelton will be a guest, as will Latu Fainu, and Garry will get the chance to interview both injured Wests Tigers stars. What we hear from Latu should be of particular interest! The decision to drop Galvin has been led by senior players, Jarome Luai and Api Koroisau. Member of the Continuous Call Team, Jamie Soward, told Jason Matthews on Wide World of Sports, "I think that Benji [Marshall] would have to make a decision based on what their team needs best." "A young man has made a decision so far out to say that he doesn't want to play or doesn't see a future at the club, with these players and with the coach. The Wests Tigers are sitting pretty in the NRL Top Eight after a second straight victory. Traveling north to Redcliffe, the Wests Tigers proved too strong for the home team, coming away with two vital points in a 30-18 victory. In this edition of the Wests Tigers Podcast, Joel Helmes is joined by Garry Watson and Steve Stretton, and the encouraging signs from the game are covered. Aspects of the Tigers' play that made us happy include the multiple points of attack and the increasing synchronicity of the team. Sure, there were a few things still to work on, we also talked about that as well. We also run through a terrific list of 'One Word' submissions from our valued members of the Wests Tigers Podcast Forum (we'd love you to add to that list each game too!) Great display of teamwork. While the boys played as a unit, the individual performances of a few players are also discussed, including Jahream Bula, Fonua Pole, Terrell May, Alex Twal, Api Koroisau, and Tallyn Da Silva. We asked the question - is Sunia Turuva the best finisher we've had in a decade? And we played a new game - Was Garry Wrong? The topics in question include Garry's call on the abilities of Adam Doueihi and Alex Seyfarth! (Perhaps a version of this could be used re Eddie Otto and Bula??) Also up for discussion was the possible replacement for Jeral Skelton if he is unable to take on the Warriors next Sunday evening at Campbelltown. Speaking of Campbelltown, Steve has details of the pre-game Ambush event being held at The Beer Shed in Leumeah on Sunday afternoon (to which you are invited). And congratulations to the Wests Tigers on passing another big milestone - 9,000 people have now got Wests Tigers memberships and we think that's a great achievement, but still well short of where we should be. The Wests Tigers Podcast mid-week edition is good to go! On this edition of the Wests Tigers Podcast, we examine the unfolding developments regarding the future of Wests Tigers young star Lachlan Galvin. In the wake of Dylan Brown getting a truckload of cash to head up the M1 to the Knights, we look at how this deal might affect our negotiations. We also take a look at the situation from the perspective of the loyal Wests Tigers fans, and how Lachlan can be part of a solution, not continuing a problem. There is also contract news around David Klemmer and his impending exit from the club, and how this impacts the likely arrival of Taylan May. While a left-field recruitment idea is also floated. Then the focus is the Eels. It is only round two of the 2025 NRL season, yet this Sunday's clash against the Eels carries a feeling of great importance. After a clunky and disjointed performance against the Knights, can the Wests Tigers bounce back against an Eels side coming off a heavy loss? Benji Marshall has named a stronger side on paper, with key spine members Jahream Bula and Api Koroisau, along with Starford To'a, being available. But has the coach managed to fix those issues so evident last Friday night? We give our suggestions on how the Tigers can get one up against the Eels, and look at how Bula and Api might help get us back on track. Yioti's trivia also features. Yioti has gone back in the Wests Tigers archives to come up with some interesting Eels v Tigers trivia questions too. And don't forget to leave your 'One Word' submissions after the Eels game on Sunday afternoon on the Wests Tigers Podcast Forum. How the Knights Got Another Win Over Wests Tigers

Wests Tigers started the 2025 NRL season on a losing note, succumbing to the Knights 10-8. The loss at Campbelltown Stadium in front of a healthy and revved up crowd makes it seven straight losses against the Newcastle side. On this edition of the Wests Tigers Podcast we pull apart that Friday evening game and try to find exactly what went wrong. One of the items up for discussion is the clunkiness of the Jarome Luai and Lachlan Galvin halves partnership. What can be done to fix this? Did the club make a mistake not playing Luai in the trial against the Eels? And why we need to find some more depth in our attack. Also under the microscope is the poor kicking games exhibited by both halves. There's also a look at how the return of Api Koroisau, Starford To'a and Jerome Bula might help fix some of the offensive issues that we all witnessed on Friday. What happened to the defense? The statistics show that Wests Tigers missed a mammoth 52 tackles in the loss to the Knights, we try to investigate what happened and what can also be done here to remedy the issues. While it isn't all worries and concerns, we also highlight a few bright spots out of the game. Thank you to everyone who left their 'One Word' submissions on the game at the Wests Tigers Podcast Forum. We run through all of those with a good mix of both pessimistic and optimistic feelings on where the Wests Tigers stand after another Knights loss. More roster changes? And we take a look at some impending changes to the roster with David Klemmer and Justin Olam potentially off the books as early as this week. While another former Panther might be about to join the Wests Tigers stable! Thanks for your support and we look forward to bringing you the next edition of the Wests Tigers Podcast mid-week.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

The boys are back with Eddie, Nick, Declan, and Steve giving one thing they like about the off-season, as well as one Tigers-related rant. We dive into a deep discussion on the history of underperforming senior players against the culture and training standards at the club and who is more to blame. We look at John Bateman's contract situation and whether more shaking of the tree needs to be done at Concord. Eddie asks the boys what is one roster decision that is most important if they were in control over the next couple of months. Eddie also states his case as to why the Wests Tigers need to sign Clint Gutherson as our fullback for the next two seasons. Plus another edition of Buy, Sell, and Hold including whether it's time to drop the burden of captaincy on Api Koroisau, and whether Jack Bird can be our answer next season at lock. It's a jam-packed edition with all that and more in over an hour's worth of debate in episode 364 of the Wests Tigers Podcast.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
