A tribute poem to all the farmers, ranchers, and producers out there.
By David PerMar - The world has grown callous to sin, accepting what was once unthinkable—but God calls us to see with His eyes. As Passover approaches, we must examine our hearts, reject spiritual callousness, and align our perspective with His righteousness.
We must not criticize God's plan and be calloused toward the promised coming of His Son, our Messiah.
The English noun gospel comes from the Anglo-Saxon term godspell, meaning "glad tidings." It is translated from the Greek evangelion, which means "good message." Originally, the word was related to news of military triumph. –https://www.gotquestions.org/gospel-good-news.htmlWhile mainstream Christianity has a relatively narrow definition or view of the Good News, e.g., limited to the New Testament and only relating to the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, a broader, more scriptural perspective exists that is less taught, if taught at all.Didn't the prophets Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, and others preach good news? What was their good news about? If the Good News is only about the death, burial, and resurrection of Messiah Yeshua, why did He teach and preach about it? What did He say is the Good News?Is the Good News about the Messiah, or is it of the Messiah? As is his usual practice, Rabbi Steve Berkson brings a more profound understanding to this topic by allowing scripture to define itself just as he has done in his other teachings.• Opener• Review• Ephesians 4:1 – We are called to walk worthily?• Ephesians 4:2 – Who is Yahweh looking for?• Ephesians 4:3 – Can we agree to disagree?• Ephesians 4:7 – We all have been given something• Ephesians 4:8 – Yeshua went into the lower parts of the earth?• Ephesians 4:11 – The Five-Fold Ministry• Ephesians 4:12 – Understand the role you've been given• Ephesians 4:13 – They still exist, until…• Ephesians 4:14 – No longer be confused by various teachings?• The trickery of men?• Messiah's definition of unity?• Are you in a cult?• Ephesians 4:15 – The maturity dilemma?• Ephesians 4:16 – A disabled Body of Messiah?• You were called to grow up• Ephesians 4:17 – Futility of mind and hardness of heart• Ephesians 4:19 – Calloused? • Ephesians 4:20 – You have not so learned Messiah?• Ephesians 4:22 – A renewed mind?• Ephesians 4:23 – Things that pertain to maturity• Ephesians 4:29 – Corrupt communication?• Ephesians 4:30 – Sealed for redemption?• Ephesians 4:31 – Direction for maturityListen to the Afterburn tomorrowSubscribe to take advantage of new content every week.To learn more about MTOI, visit our website, https://mtoi.org.https://www.facebook.com/mtoiworldwide https://www.instagram.com/mtoi_worldwidehttps://www.tiktok.com/@mtoi_worldwide You can contact MTOI by emailing us at admin@mtoi.org or calling 423-250-3020. Happy Friday. I'm early morning walking and talking. When I have alot on my mind I like to go for a walk, and because I had to walk this morning it made for a great episode entry. I miss being my softer innocent self. Life has chipped me up and chiseled me a bit. This episode I touch on that along with some of my conversations with God.
Message from the sermon series, Greater, Hebrews 3:7-14.
Have you ever felt like the worst evangelist ever? One of the amazing things about the story of Naomi and Ruth is how God kept drawing Ruth even as Naomi kept giving her all the reasons to turn back. God can overcome our weakness too, and use our imperfect efforts to draw people into His purpose for their life. Calloused hearts? He can soften them. Great resistance? He can overcome it. Great trauma? God can transcend it. And when we feel like we've come to the end of ourselves? God is just getting started!
So many pastor and leaders today are operating out of a calloused heart. In this message, Pastor Lewis teaches how we must all have our hearts softened by God so that we can truly care about one another.Support This Ministry

SHOW NOTES: On this show…we are tracing the healing journey of love, from connecting and loving deeply to embracing heartache and every stop in between. Building connections, even when you're worried about getting hurt, is vital because these bonds are the lifeblood of our emotional well-being. Yes, opening up can feel risky, but the rewards of genuine connection far outweigh the fear of heartache. It's through these connections that we find support, joy, and a sense of belonging. Love hurts but first, it heals. The capacity to love deeply is considered a natural, species-specific tendency. Loss is an integral part of growth, whether we're evolving our minds from one stage to the next or facing the final chapter of our physical life. Embracing loss allows us to learn, adapt, and gain deeper insights into ourselves and the world around us. It's through these challenging moments that we truly grow and find new strength. Remember, every meaningful relationship starts with a bit of vulnerability. So, take that leap—embrace the possibility of connection, knowing that the love and support you gain will help heal any past wounds and enrich your life in beautiful, unexpected ways. Change is never easy because with change comes loss. I could spin this in a self-help way, which you know I will, but first, let's be honest. Letting go of people, opportunities, ideas, dreams, and expectations is never easy. When you make that shift and turn the corner you have to be ready to embrace change or you stay stuck. If you are letting go of a relationship you embrace the idea of staying single or putting yourself out there again. If you lose a job you're faced with how to rectify what happened and where you go now. If you lose a loved one you are met with navigating grief while creating a new normal. Instead of getting bogged down in endless details, start by simplifying your choices into two clear paths. This approach helps you make quicker decisions and maintain momentum. It's not about rigid thinking, but rather about giving yourself a solid starting point to move forward more efficiently. Bianca Sparacino introduces us to people who love deeply: Let Me Tell You About People Who Love Deeply found at Thought Catalog At Ellie Mental Health I found How To Cope With Loneliness and Rejection in Relationships At Live Outrageously, I found a question to contemplate: Have You Outgrown Your Inner Circle of Friends? Love's Tender Evolution We all know the journey of love's tender evolution, From young and free, hearts open in boundless revolution. We fall hard, then rise slowly, with wounds to bear, Calloused, we build walls, breeding suspicion and despair. We open up cautiously, our pace becomes slow, Our minds awaken to heartache's burdens we now know. We think our hearts are weak, so our minds grow strong, But often they become jaded, overprotective, or wrong. Distrusting both heart and mind, we retreat to our shell, Building barricades, interrogating all who dare to dwell. Loneliness ensues, yet we tiptoe back into the light, Hoping for heart, mind, and soul to finally align right. Praying for someone who'll respect and protect all three, Swiftly, before the cycle starts again, we yearn to be free. In this dance of love's evolution, we seek to find, A partner who'll cherish the heart, soul, and mind. CHALLENGE: Embrace the evolution of love by staying open to connection and growth, despite past heartaches. By trusting both your heart and mind, you pave the way for making connections with those who will cherish and protect your whole being. I Know YOU Can Do It!

David Goggins say to callous the mind. If you are going to do that, please do keep a softness of heart while you're at it.
Having to rely on a medical device for your child's survival is equal parts frustrating and terrifying. It's not that we aren't grateful that the technologies exist to keep our children healthy... but medical devices aren't fool-proof, and when things go awry, it's traumatic for everyone involved. In today's episode, Bethany Beazley shares her experience of receiving her son's diagnosis and how her family's life changed in the blink of an eye when her son William was given a tracheotomy shortly after his birth. While William's trache helped him to breath well most of the time, he had more than one terrifying incident when his trache didn't function as planned. Bethany explains, in heartfelt detail, the emotional fallout from those moments, and how her perspective of disability has changed through her experience. You won't want to miss it. Brother Samuel Fried - A sermon preached Sunday evening on October 23, 2022.
Life has a way of hardening us. And if we're not careful, the struggles, disappointments, and burdens of life end up hardening our hearts. Calloused hearts keep us from experiencing God moving in and through us in our everyday lives. The question is, how do we remain tender? How do we keep an open heart to God in the face of disappointment and hardship?

When the men came to Jesus, they said, “John the Baptist sent us to you to ask, ‘Are you the one who is to come, or should we expect someone else?'” Luke 7:20 In Luke's Gospel, John's disciples come to Jesus and ask this question. They had heard of Jesus's amazing works and teachings, and yet they had their doubts. The same is true with us! Some of us have been in the church for a really long time, and we've become calloused to the working of the Spirit. And we have to overcome our doubts with faith. Pastor Jon is going to be speaking on moving from a place of callousness to softness and being open to the Spirit's moving! We all have our doubts, and the important thing is to take these to the Lord before our hearts and minds become calloused. So change our hearts, oh God!
