Estamos #CercaTuyo
The Huskies started their first full week of spring practices on a high note. High as in a temperature in the mid to upper 50s, sunny weather and the chance for the players to partake in their first full-pads practice of 2021. The pads were popping all day and the defense again made some big plays, but the offense also held their own. For the second straight practice, Scott Eklund and Kim Grinolds were not on hand, but Chris Fetters was joined by our intrepid intern, Jack McCauley, and the voice of the Huskies, Tony Castricone, to break down what they saw and the first place that the latter went was his excitement of just being able to cover practice again and his thoughts on what the future could hold for a team that returns so much talent and experience this season. They also talked about the running backs room and how loaded it is as well as the implementation of John Donovan's offense and the progress of Dylan Morris, Patrick O'Brien and Sam Huard. Castricone noted that Donovan is a teacher more than anything and he's excited about the second-year offensive coordinator to actually get the chance to install his offense during a full offseason instead of with two months before the start of the football season. They also talked about Rip Rowan's energy and how good the defense could be with their ability to stop the run which was a bugaboo for them last season and Castricone believes this could be one of the best defenses they have had, but it all depends on stopping the run, something that new defensive coordinator Bob Gregory has said is their number one priority. Finally, things are starting to turn around for the Huskies as they go into Arizona and beat both the Sun Devils, and the Wildcats. Could they make a deep run in the Pac-12 Tournament in Vegas this week? The odds still aren't great, but they look better than before for sure. A nice run at the end of the year would do a lot of good for Jaden McDaniels' legacy at Washington. Across various leagues, a new policy limiting reporters' access to locker rooms. This is in an attempt to stop the spread of the coronavirus, but it's a policy that may become the new normal going forward. Tony Castricone, voice of the Huskies talks about the Dawgs' chances in Vegas this week.

The last month or so has been pretty disappointing for Husky basketball, but are they about to turn it around? The talent is there, and they've really only played a total of 8 minutes of bad basketball. With more insight, we turn to former Husky Spencer Hawes. Stats are for Losers is complete with plenty of Husky basketball and Super Bowl stats. Tony Castricone, voice of Husky basketball, says this could be the defining test of the first three years of the Mike Hopkins era of UW hoops.

What would you do for a Mariners World Series. Would Softy guarantee he wouldn't talk for a year if it got the Mariners a Series? Could he even come close to not talking for a year? Bruce Feldman explains why he's got the Dawgs winning the Pac-12 North, plus other thoughts from around college football. Softy is bothered by the multiple personalities of Russell Wilson. It feels like Russ isn't really being himself, but at this point, maybe we really are just seeing the real Russ. This leads into a conversation about the Super Bowl in Arizona, and the much larger annoyance of Softy's. We round out the show with a chat with the voice of the Dawgs, Tony Castricone.
