In this talk, Chris Wienand delves into the profound journey of discovering one's unique, divine purpose beyond conventional expectations. He contrasts the universal initial call to follow Jesus with the deeply personal second call that God places on each individual, urging believers to embrace a life of eternal significance and adventure. Through compelling stories and biblical insights, Chris inspires listeners to move beyond a settled faith and pursue the extraordinary assignments God has uniquely designed for them. Last week, we heard a story of miraculous, physical healing through prayer and fasting. But how does fasting heal communities? Generations? Systems? What is the effect of fasting outside of individuals? In this episode, our roundtable is joined by South African church planter Chris Wienand. Chris shares his experience in fasting and praying during Apartheid rule in South Africa, the opportunity for miracles through communities who fast, and the generational responsibilities belonging to followers of Jesus. This podcast accompanies the Fasting Practice, developed by Practicing the Way. Thanks to the generosity of The Circle, all Practices are free. Speaker: Chris Wienand Text: Ephesians 2:1-10 Description: In the book of Ephesians Paul calls the church to another way of life that is counter culture to everything around them. What does that look like for us today?
For Father's Day we had our friend Pastor Chris Weinand speak on the role of a father in a child's life. Children experience the truth of the Lord's Prayer and the picture of the Father in heaven by the reality experienced by a father's parenting. This is also a call for us to reshape and acknowledge the false realities we may have experience from the parenting that we have received. As we pray the Lord's Prayer, let us reshape our view of the Father, and reshape our parenting as mothers and fathers.

How do we remain faithful followers of Jesus in the midst of a culture that has blinded us? Guest speaker, Chris Weinand, took us through Ephesians 4:1-16 to answer that questions. We can go against the culture around us and into the culture that Jesus lays out by Celebrating our Captivity and Embracing our Togetherness. First, we are captive to God and his will for the church. Second, we are to be fully immersed in the community known as the body of Christ.
