Above all, Matt Sallee considers himself a team player. His instantly recognizable bass tone rumbles straight from the soul as a strong and supple foundation for collaborators to shine just as brightly as he does. The show-stopping vocalist, artist, and member of Pentatonix instantly captivates in any arena—whether on the stage of a legendary venue or solo in the recording booth. As such, acapella represents not only a creative, but a personal and spiritual calling for him. He made his debut with the group on the platinum-certified A Pentatonix Christmas: Deluxe in 2017, which boasted highlights such as “How Great Thou Art” featuring Jennifer Hudson. His voice boomed on a trio of successive Billboard 200 Top 10 albums, namely PTX Presents: Top Pop, Vol. I [2018], Christmas Is Here! [2018], and The Best of Pentatonix Christmas [2019]. Plus, he lent his songwriting to The Lucky Ones [2021] in addition to performing on Evergreen [2021], which garnered a GRAMMY® Award nod in the category of “Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album.” Outside of music, he remains an avid basketball and football fan and dedicates as much time as possible to his family. Peter speaks with Matt about his musical upbringing, what it's like being a part of Pentatonix, the pressure of filling the shoes of Avi Kaplan, misconceptions about the bass voice, being a versatile artist, gratitude, and much more. Please welcome Matt Sallee.

Paul chats with Collabro ahead of their new single with Sir Cliff Richard Mistletoe and WineSingle Release Date – 26th November 2021 “I'm finding it hard to believe that it has been 33 years since I first released Mistletoe and Wine. I am really thrilled with this newly recorded version with the Collabro boys. I love their harmonies and it was a pleasure to sing with them, and if this new version gets everyone into the Christmas Spirit we will be very happy!!” – Sir Cliff Richard Following a hugely successful tour as special guests to Sir Cliff Richard in 2017, Collabro and Sir Cliff have become close friends in the industry and have supported each other, including Sir Cliff joining an intimate gig where Collabro performed at Pizza Express Holborn and Collabro performing at the Royal Albert Hall to celebrate Sir Cliffs 60 years in the music business. Whilst Collabro were recording their Christmas album “Christmas Is Here” and Cliff was recording his “Music… The Air That I Breathe” album, they came up with the idea to re-record the festive Christmas classic “Mistletoe and Wine”, 33 years after its original release. The Collabro boys couldn't be more thankful for this opportunity and are endlessly grateful to Sir Cliff for his continued support. “It really is a dream come true and probably the most surreal thing we have ever done. This song was first released before any of us were born so we have literally heard it every Christmas our whole lives. Working with Sir Cliff has always been the most incredible experience and we really hope people enjoy this new version of the song.” Michael Auger Collabro Collabro are the World's Most Successful Musical Theatre Group. The boys met for their first rehearsal above a pub in London Bridge back in 2014. Soon after, they auditioned for ITV's Britain's Got Talent, and a month later received a full standing ovation from all four judges and the full audience at the Hammersmith Apollo. They went on to win the competition with one of the highest voting majorities of any series, and their debut album Stars went straight into the UK album charts at number one, was quickly certified gold, and became the fasting selling album of 2014. To this day, they are one of the most popular Got Talent winners ever. Last year, Collabro released their album “Christmas Is Here” comprising of a range of festive classics and an original track, the titular 'Christmas Is Here', which saw them team up once again with Ben Adams from A1. After going from strength to strength with six top-selling albums, four sell-out UK tours, two US tours, headline slots at the London Palladium, Wembley Stadium, the O2 arena and the Royal Albert Hall, this summer saw COLLABRO performing at Tatton Park Pop Up Festival, In The Park with Katherine Jenkins, Sound On The Ground Blackpool, and performing with Alfie Boe at Trentham Live and are currently on their major headline Greatest Hits Tour. Kimberley Locke's first single from her highly anticipated upcoming Christmas album is an obscure one, originally penned by the Queen of Disco herself, Donna Summer with Michael and Stormie Omartian, "Christmas Is Here". The song embodies the Holiday season. You can't help but smile from ear to ear as you listen to smooth and sultry tones of Kimberley's voice. The lyrics will remind you of all the joy we feel and share during the holiday season. Here is the link to the lyric video to the hear the single https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zm23HYHE59gKimberley's last Christmas album was a hit and she was touted by Billboard Magazine as the “Queen of Christmas”. Over the last few years, Kimberley has only released a single during the Holidays, but this year she felt it was time to go into the studio and put together a cohesive body of work for this Holiday season. More than ever, we can all use some Holiday cheer considering the year we've had. The full album will be released September 30. Kimberley is currently booking a Holiday tour.Locke will also be releasing a song later this year with Dave Audé and Andreas Moss through Curb Records.Auditioning for the 2003 series of American Idol® was a life-changing decision for Kimberley Locke. She successfully passed the audition and became a firm fan favorite, eventually placing third. Kimberley signed to Curb Records immediately after her American Idol journey, where she became a successful recording artist. She released three full-length albums, has ten Top 20 Adult Contemporary singles, five #1 Dance hits (Including one international dance hit “Feel the Love”) and was coined the Queen of Christmas by Billboard Magazine. There are no words to describe my excitement to welcome both Matt Pagan and Michael Auger back to jakes-take.com as they make their debut on The Jake's Take with Jacob Elyachar Podcast. Matt and Michael are one-half of the international vocal group Collabro. In 2014, Matt, Michael, Thomas Redgrave, Jamie Lambert, and former member Richard Hadfield entered the international spotlight when they auditioned for the eighth series of Britain's Got Talent. Thanks to their superb harmonies and impeccable stage presence, the group gained a fandom called the Collaborators, won the competition, and performed at the 2014 Royal Variety Performance in front of Prince William and Princess Catherine. They also released two albums under Syco Music: 2014's Stars and 2015's Act Two. Even though Hadfield left the group in 2016, Collabro continued to perform across the United Kingdom and worldwide. The group also released three more studio albums--- 2017's Home (which featured the group's first original song: "Lighthouse"), 2018's Road to the Royal Albert Hall, and 2019's Love Like This. Matt, Michael, Jamie, and Thomas competed on Britain's Got Talent: The Champions' inaugural season and America's Got Talent: The Champions' sophomore season. Recently, the quartet released their very first Christmas album: Christmas is Here. Throughout the group's sixth studio album, Collabro delivered their stellar interpretations of holiday classics, including "O Holy Night," "Winter Wonderland," and "All I Want for Christmas is You." They also recorded their second original song: "Christmas Is Here." In this edition of The Jake’s Take with Jacob Elyachar Podcast, Matt Pagan and Michael Auger spoke about Christmas is Here’s recording process and shared a special holiday message for the Collaborators.
I'm joined by Britain's Got Talent winners from 2014, with five top selling albums, four sell-out UK tours. They have released their new Christmas single and album for 2020 'Christmas Is Here'. CHRISTMAS IS HERE! Slow down... We need to prepare! How do we do that? In Advent we prepare for Jesus to come and we need to take a long look at why he had to come. And don't throw out Christmas so quickly like all of your torn off wrapping paper. Christmas is just getting started. But wait, we still have Epiphany to follow or as it's sometimes called "The Gentile Christmas". It's 3 separate but connected seasons so Pastor Pat and Layman Dave are going to try and untangle these holidays from each other. Thanks for listening. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/david-mammen/support

CHRISTMAS IS HERE! Well actually, it’s Christmas eve, and despite a snow storm that closes the whole city down, Greenway’s remains open. Surprisingly, everyone isn’t upset about it…everyone except Luca that is. There is just ONE more episode till our mid-season break. Miss any? Go back and listen now! Although it’s not crucial that the show is listened to in sequence, it does indeed enhance the story.

Geoff's CD, Geoff Smith and the Tonewheels, is available from CD Baby and the iTMS. Geoff has also recently been playing keyboards with Codaphonic, a great band based in Nashville. This tracks and dozens of others are available, for listening only, at the PMN under the name The Lee Harris Christmas Compilations. I'm not entirely convinced Lee Harris, or the other artists whose names are directly associated with some of the tracks, know these songs are available at the PMN. Nonetheless, I decided to play this track as a reminder that help is still needed in the reconstruction of one of the cradles of American music. • Christmas Is Here by Number One Fan, a holiday single available free from PureVolume.com, or for 99 cents from the iTMS. Visit NumberOneFanOnline.com for more information. • Sharing This Christmas With The Blues by Russell Alexander & The Hitman Blues Band, from Angel in the Shadow (2003), available from CD Baby and the iTMS. Visit HitmanBluesBand.com for more information. • Man! It's Christmas by Jimmie Bratcher, from Man! It's Christmas (2006), available from Jimmie's online store. Also available from CD Baby: The Blues Ain't Pretty (2000) and No Place To Fade (1998). No Place To Fade is also available from the iTMS. Visit BluePlateSpecialBand.com for more information. Mentioned during this show: to find out what you can do to help with the ongoing recovery of New Orleans, visit DirectRelief.org. Excellent online resources for more information about the blues: The Blues Foundation and the Delta Blues Museum; and be sure to download and listen to the DBM's top-notch (and free) podcast, the Uncensored History of the Blues.
