Have you ever considered joining forces with a fellow industry colleague to create unique hair education? Interested to know more, then we've a treat for you today. In todays episode we have to heavy hitters of Irish Hairdressing, as I'm joined by the owner of Cut Social, Katrina Kelly, and L'Oreal Young Colourist winner, Conor Doyle. Both with an aligned common goal of collaboratively sharing to the industry their experiences and passions for their craft, I love how and why these two free spirits came together back in 2018. Fulled by each others creativity and drive, Katrina and Conor are a generation of hairdressers attracted to collaborating – in their case, as collaborative educators. Creating education together has helped them to bring out each others best skills, whilst bouncing off each others different expertise. As Connor says, "We have very different ways that we educate and do hair. This provides a different mindset that you can pick and choose in creating unique hair education." If there is one takeaway that I hope you get from todays podcast, is that you and your industry peers that you respect have so much potential together, by joining forces to share and inspire others. By working collaboratively can also help you become more aware of your strengths, as well as your weaknesses ... so go on, give it a go! A podcast produced by Hairy Media Productions. Filibuster is a little late this week, but we are always here for you. Jason, Adam, and Ben are back to talk about the USMNT and D.C. United, starting with USA versus Canada. We talk about how they looked, the continuing farce of Jermaine Jones at center back, the USWNT scoring goals during recording, and the performance of our own Birdbomb, Steve Birnbaum. When then have to talk about all the transfer drama that has surrounded D.C. United these past few weeks. We have to talk about the newest installments in the Antonio Nocerino story; we also talk about Luciano Acosta, the tampering charges that may or may not come against Orlando City, the Conor Doyle trade, and D.C. United's 2-2 draw against J-Sodra in Bradenton. We end by talking about some of the new jerseys out there in MLS, including Vancouver Whitecaps, Orlando City, Real Salt Lake, and the abomination that is Columbus Crew SC. Give it a listen!
No one expects a Wednesday Filibuster! Our chief weapon is surprise. Surprise, and Adam. Surprise, Adam, and Jason. No. Amongst our weapons are Surprise, Adam, Jason, Ben, and a fanatical devotion to a stupid bit. Unfortunately, we have to talk about D.C. United's 0-3 disaster in Harrison; we talk about the central midfield and the central defense, whether Ben Olsen needs a tactical shift and whether he needs to use this upcoming bye week to shorten his roster. We also talk about happier things: D.C. United's 3-0 win over Montego Bay United in the Concacaf Champions League. We start by talking about Michael Farfan and move onto talking about Conor Doyle, Miguel Aguilar, and Luke Mishu and Jalen Robinson, asking if any of them could be making MLS appearances down the stretch of the season. We get off on a USL tangent, which leads us right into our third segment... ...in which we go around the league, starting with Bruce Arena and the LA Galaxy. We talk about what has happened to San Jose (in a good way) and Sporting Kansas City (in a bad way), the Montreal Impact winning the coach firing race, the Seattle Sounders are in trouble, Toronto FC and Giovinco, and the hilarious mess that is NYCFC. Give it a listen!

A Tuesday Filibuster for your listening pleasure! Adam, Jason, and Ben talk about D.C. United's historic 1-0 win over the Montreal Impact, and we have to start with Bill Hamid. We then ask whether or not we were happy with this game, despite the win, ask if anything changed when Conor Doyle came on the field for Nick DeLeon, and discuss what should be the forward pairing against New York City FC given what happened against Montreal. We then welcome on Rafael Noboa y Rivera from SB Nation's NYCFC site Hudson River Blue. We start by asking him about Tommy McNamara, who was cruelly stolen from D.C. United in the expansion draft. We ask him who has been the best player in light blue so far this year, the team's deficienies, how bad Mix Diskerud has been this year, and how Frank Lampard is the team's original sin. We close by asking him about the leaky back four. Give it a listen!

Since there is ever so much soccer, its a Filibuster on a Monday! We start by reminicing about howl long it has been since we recorded on a Sunday (miss you, Martin), before getting into the meat of the podcast. D.C. United actually played Chicago last week, and we talk about Conor Doyle's golazo and the formation that the team employed in that game. We also talk about the draw against Toronto FC, and start off with the stellar performance of Steve Birnbaum in that game. We then talk about the defense overall and how impressed we were by them and how they did not give up a goal against one of the highest-priced attacks in the league. Finally, we talk about how TFC didn't really create many chances, despite the popular narrative that they dominated the game. We move onto tomorrow's game against the Philadelphia Union in the US Open Cup, and how the Union have been burning up their starters in the league. We argue that they should concentrate on the Open Cup, because they have a better chance at pulling a 2013 D.C. United then doing well in this regular season. We also talk about Friday's game against the Seattle Sounders, who will be getting Clint Dempsey back from suspension but will be missing Obafemi Martins. We compare Dempsey's suspension to what Cuauhtémoc Blanco got, and then talk about what Dempsey will do in this game and how United will have to play to win. Finally, we talk more about the 2015 World Cup and start with discussing their high press. We ask whether or not missing Lauren Holiday and Megan Rapinoe made the USWNT better, their central midfield tactics, and how the United States will approach this game against Germany.

A new Filibuster is ready to be heard by you! No, we don't record the whole episode in the passive voice, but we sure do try. Ben, Adam, Jason, and Leanne are back to talk about the two most recent D.C. United games, both of which were wins. We take the second leg against LD Alajuelense and the first game against the Montreal Impact together, and talk about the performances of Jairo Arrieta and Chris Ponitus, the play of Chris Korb, how we will kinda like Conor Doyle (especially at his age and price point), and about how dirty Miguel Aguilar is. We then talk about the United States women's national team and their current performance in the Algarve Cup in Portugal. We talk about what the heck Jill Ellis is doing, whether Ellis or Jurgen Klinsmann are a more baffling coach, and whether or not this summer's World Cup will be rough for the US women. We then dip into the Twitterbox and take two player comparison questions. We answer whether Nick DeLeon will be replaced by Miguel Aguilar, and when Markus Halsti will come and take Davy Arnaud's spot. We end the show talking about hair, headbands, mullets, and more, so you know it's a good show. GIve it a listen!

Adam is back from his scouting trip to Alaska, and Filibuster is back in your ears. We start off by talking all things D.C. United preseason trialists: Andrew Driver and David Estrada, Rocket Rod Dyachenko, the center backs (Futty Danso, Rauwshawn McKenzie, and Sean St Ledger), and the goalkeeping trialists that are Diego Restrepo, Richard McCallum, and Riccardo Anedda. We then talk about injuries suffered this season (Eddie Johnson and Michael Seaton) and at the end of last season (Luis Silva, Chris Rolfe, Andrew Dykstra, and Conor Doyle). It could be an interesting forward pairing to start the year if these players don't start getting health (but most of them are doing so). When then talk about Perry Kitchen, Steve Birnbaum, and the USMNT's Camp Cupcake. They play Chile tonight, and they may do so in a strange formation. Is Jurgen Klinsmann actually just Tom Soehn? Finally, we introduce a new segment entitled "Metro Offseason Failure" before taking some of your Twitterbox questions. Give it a listen!
Big thanks goes out to Conor Doyle of Derby County for giving up a little bit of time for the show and all American Soccer Supporters.
