I had the absolute pleasure of sitting down with PacificCreative once again for what will be our final interview together, and honestly, this one feels a little extra special. ❤️Over the years, Pacific has gone from being a guest on my podcast to becoming someone I'm incredibly lucky to call a friend. What started as an interview turned into a friendship that I truly value, and I'm so grateful that StassiJ Unplugged brought us together. In this episode, we talk about her journey, the incredible work she continues to contribute to the Sims community, her love of Neopets, and so much more. But more than anything, I'm just really grateful that I got one more chance to sit down and have a conversation with someone who has become such a special part of my journey.Pacific, thank you for being you, for always being so wonderful, and for being not just a guest, but a genuine friend. I'm so happy this little podcast brought you into my life. ❤️This may be our final interview, but thankfully, it's definitely not goodbye.

Send a question for 'Ask Megan'Hey Podcasters! One of my favorite things about podcasting is that your show almost never grows the way you expect it to!Kristin and Steve started their podcast, Cycling Together with Kristin & Steve, thinking it would help people discover their bike shop. Instead, it opened up an otherwise intimidating hobby to a lot of new riders! Every two weeks, a new episode sparks conversations at local rides and keeps them connected with customers between visits. One listener even told them they bought their daughter a better bike because of something they heard on the podcast!Adding video podcasting is another interesting part of their growth! Kristin was convinced people wouldn't watch a podcast, but Steve disagreed because he consumes almost everything about cycling on YouTube. To him, video content is another place people discover new ideas.Turns out, Steve was right, and now around half of their Apple Podcasts downloads are from video! What I love is that they didn't let video become another complicated project. They record wherever it makes sense: a guest room, a parking lot after a ride, even while traveling. As Kristin put it, "You can make this as complicated or as easy as you want... we've just decided it's better done than right."I think that's why the podcast works so well: they're not chasing perfect production. They're focused on making content about a hobby and sport they love!If you're looking for a great example of a podcast that's making a real impact in its community, check out Cycling Together with Kristin & Steve.Listen to PodcastNew to Buzzsprout?Join us today at 1 pm EST for a Buzzsprout Orientation hosted by our Podcaster Success Team. Send a question for 'Ask Megan'Hey Podcasters! For years, Rich and Andrew kept hearing the same thing from their social media followers:"You should start a podcast."As flight attendants, they'd built a large audience by creating polished, entertaining videos online. So if they were going to launch a podcast, they knew listeners would expect that same experience. They wanted the podcast to feel like a step forward, so when they finally launched Two Guys on a Plane, video was part of the plan from day one!As Rich put it, "We've always had the mindset that your audience is everywhere. Don't stick to one platform."For Two Guys on a Plane, one recording becomes a lot of things: an audio podcast episode, YouTube content, social clips, and now a video podcast on Apple Podcasts. Instead of creating something new for every platform, they're getting more value from the conversation they're already having! That same philosophy carried over to their workflow. With two busy flight attendant schedules, they batch record several episodes in one studio session each month. The studio handles the cameras and production, and Rich and Andrew get to focus on the conversation instead of the technology. When it's time to publish, they keep it just as streamlined.Rich told us that one of his favorite parts of publishing video on Buzzsprout is being able to upload one video file and have it automatically appear on Apple Podcasts alongside the audio version of the show."Being able to just upload to Buzzsprout as you would the normal audio episode and have it pushed to pretty much everywhere is such a nice feature."I think that's what makes this a great example for other podcasters. They knew they wanted to start with video because it helped them reach the audience they'd already built, so they found a workflow that made video podcasting sustainable. It's easy to get intimidated by video podcasting, especially if it feels like a one-size-fits-all solution. But, there are many ways video can add something to your show! If you've been thinking about experimenting with video, you can upgrade to a Buzzsprout video plan and start publishing video episodes to Apple Podcasts.Learn About VideoGrow Your CraftJoin us this Wednesday, July 1st, at 1:00 PM EST, for a Buzzsprout class featuring Fan Mail! We'll show you how it works, share creative ways podcasters are using it, and answer your questions live.Register for ClassHave a question for Megan? Send a question for 'Ask Megan'Hey Podcasters! One of the reasons I love highlighting Buzzsprout creators is that they often find uses for podcasting that most of us would never think of!Take Got Any Cows. It's a podcast hosted by Seth Christensen, who runs a cattle operation in Idaho. He originally started the show because he wanted a more consistent way to connect with customers than the occasional Facebook post. Then listeners started asking: "Can we see the cows?"And that question changed the podcast!Instead of recording in a studio, Seth and his producer Jacob started recording on the ranch, in the truck, and anywhere the work was actually happening. Video became a way to bring listeners into the story. When Seth talks about a cow he's selling, people can see the animal. When he's discussing ranch operations, they can see the ranch itself. What stood out to me is that they didn't add video because they felt pressure to. They added it because it made the podcast better! And they didn't build a giant production around it either. Most episodes are recorded with a couple of cameras and a lavalier mic. The focus is still on the conversation and the story. It's easy to get intimidated by video podcasts, but that feels like an important lesson for the rest of us: you don't need a lot of fancy gear. Jacob, the producer of Got Any Cows?, recommends, "If someone is considering starting a video podcast but feels overwhelmed by the amount of work involved, start small. Sit in front of a window for natural lighting, skip buying equipment at first, use your phone to record, and get a simple $20 tripod to hold it."The best video podcasts are shows where video adds something listeners couldn't get from audio alone. And for Got Any Cows, that approach is working! They've been early adopters of video on Apple Podcasts, using Buzzsprout to help them stand out in a niche where very few creators are doing the same.If you've ever thought about trying video, I'd take a page from Seth and Jacob's playbook: start with what makes your podcast interesting and ask yourself whether video helps tell that story. And if the answer is yes, you can upgrade to a Buzzsprout video plan and start publishing video episodes to Apple Podcasts!Learn About VideoHave a question for Megan? Francis shares how his definition has evolved, drawing from his work at Beehive and hundreds of interviews with creators across industries. Together, we explore the blurred lines between artist, influencer, and marketer, and why understanding these labels matters for personal identity and business growth. “My definition of a creator is someone who creates digital media, grows an audience beyond who they know in real life, and monetizes that work in some way.” - Francis Zierer Here's What You'll Hear in this Episode: Francis's three-part definition of a creator: create, grow, sell. Why newsletters are the most powerful owned platform. How marketing skills are essential for creators today. The difference between content creation and influence. Personal reflections from Sara, Jessie, and Quynh on how they identify in their own businesses. Whether you're an artist, influencer, or entrepreneur, this conversation will give you clarity on how to position yourself in the creator economy. Learn more about Francis: Francis Zierer is a writer, podcaster, and researcher covering the creator economy. He is the editor of Creator Spotlight, beehiiv's newsletter and podcast cataloguing how creator businesses grow and monetize — from independent, newsletter-based journalists to lifestyle YouTubers to the strategists and entrepreneurs serving them all.Alongside Dirt Media's Daisy Alioto, he is also a co-host of Tasteland, a podcast featuring creative takes on media, marketing, and technology.

What was it like returning to the X-office — and what new creative muscles did you want to flex with this run?The title Unbreakable X-Men is powerful — it implies resilience, unity, maybe even defiance. What does “unbreakable” mean to you in the context of this particular team, and how does that theme shape the story's tone? Both Uncanny and Unbreakable highlight complex, emotionally rich women like Rogue. How do you approach writing these characters in ways that balance their vulnerability with their strength — especially amid the chaos of mutantkind's latest era? You've always had a gift for team dynamics — the humor, friction, and found-family energy that make an ensemble tick. What did you want to explore about the X-Men's internal relationships here, and are there any pairings (friendly or otherwise) you especially loved writing? The X-Men have always represented survival and identity, and your run lands during a moment when the franchise is reexamining what those mean. How do you see Unbreakable X-Men contributing to that larger conversation about legacy and what it means to be a mutant now? You've written some of comics' most beloved team books — from Birds of Prey (with an Omnibus out this week!) to Secret Six. How does your time on Uncanny/Unbreakable X-Men compare to those experiences? And if you could take this team of mutants anywhere next, what kind of story would you tell?Rapid Fire Question Round so that you are "known":Best sandwich? What's one thing you own that you really should throw out?Apples or oranges? What is the scariest animal?Have you ever asked someone for their autograph? What do you think happens when we die?Favorite action movie?Favorite smell?Least favorite smell?Flat or sparkling? Most used app on your phone? If you could have dinner with any three characters you've written before, who would they be and why?You get one song to listen to for the rest of your life: what is it?What number am I thinking of?Describe the rest of your life in 5 words?
