John Stringer (John Stringer - Limitless Love & Light from Moment to Moment (johnstringerinc.com)) was usually singing while doing chores or at a family gathering. Music was the norm. The only thing he could take to entertain himself when going to West Point Military Academy was his guitar. But it became a portal for prayer. He would sneak away to a shed to pray, sing and emote. He developed his spiritual practice by himself. He needed this because - as he said - he was rough around the edges. He welcomed getting discipline down. He found balance in mind, body and spirit. West Point gave him tools like performance enhancement, slowing his heartrate, journaling, setting goals and having a backwards plan. John's passion for community was ignited when he and his family joined a commune when he was three years old. His mother took the children from there when he was 4. Over time,, he came to realize that community is part of the network of the Mind of God. Like a molecule, the Divine design is that we can do more when with community than we can do on our own. John joined mastermind circles, accountability circles later in his life. He made daily commitments while gaining wisdom from the community - learning to serve and be served. We get to help each other step into fully who we are here to be. It is a re-membering, receiving the medicine from that journey.John and Kathy reconnected after her divorce and they formed Healing Arts Management to manage events, promote artists and create healing music. They produced a successful concert called Atlantis. John toured the world with a rock band and started a label. It was clear that their attraction was more than chemical - it was spiritual. These souls were to work together. John hired Kathy to manage the band and the label. They entertained the armed forces. Kathy was a catalyst for his growth. They did transformative and healing retreats around the world. John did songwriting retreats and enlisted Posi-award winning artists into The Alignment Method. They did licensing and writing for film. John left his C Suite job and created Banding Together for teaching collaboration skills, how to be present, behavioral sciences, understanding your needs, communicating your needs, and measuring performance. John wanted to hear direct from Spirit to heal and release guilt and shame. Miserable and out of control emotionally, he asked show me what works, God! I can't go on this way. He learned breathing, mediation, sought direct contact with God, sought his genius and learned how to tap into his own intuition. He started receiving symbols and interpreting them in color, visuals, and audibles intertwining. Synchronicities occurred. There was kundalini rising, stream of consciousness writing. The Source that fuels creativity is the same Source with answers he'd been seeking all his life. He received the teachings and applied them to his life.John and Kathy asked how Ester and Jerry Hicks did it. One word emerged "Align". John continues to align himself with Spirit and does important work. Discovering how genius and intition work, he asked "What's mine to know, to do. All his solo projects come from this listening. Catching the ancestral energy of many who had been oppressed, John created the pivotal work, "We Matter". He is committed to bringing a message of Love to this planet. John is on the music team with Ester Nicholson, Michelle Jordan, Lee Langston and Bukeka Blakemore along with the James Ward Band for the groundbreaking event: "Celebrating Our Soul": A New Thought Conference by People of African Descent. He will also teach songwriting to the youth there. For more information about this event, go to www.padntg.org).Listen to Rev. Celeste's poem: "What Spirit Will Bring".Support the show

In this episode, I am speaking with the author and founder of Soul Recovery Ester NicholsonEster has a staggering 34 years and I am so excited to be talking with her about what has to be one of the most important parts of recovering yourself, What is the self we are recovering? That self we are recovering, in Ester’s words, is our Soul. I must agree and she and I dive deep about how the work gets done. With so much going on around us today we must do the work, but to just tell you to do the work is silly, most people have no idea what it means and how to even approach it. Well, Recovering our souls, or selves, means we have to be able to look outward and see how, what we are experiencing, is reflecting ourselves back to us. We have to question “How is this me?” Neither Ester nor I can give you the answer but we do talk about how we have found the answer in our lives. This podcast is about giving you clues as to how to do the work yourself because there is no magic bullet but there is magic, and you are filled with it. The beautiful Ester Nicholson shares her wisdom about 'The Recovery, Rediscovery, and Reawakening of the Soul'.
In an atypical talk about "recovery", special guest Ester Nicholson speaks about recovering that "real something" about us that may have gotten buried deep beneath the dust and grit of a challenging life journey. That something which is infinite, which is whole, which is complete, which is amazing. Recovery is about rediscovering our core essence, remembering that we are one with God, and then walking this world with a sexy swagger. Begin with the affirmation: "I don't know crap!" Then we must decide to turn our life over to God. It is time to become homesick for our real self!
In this episode, Ester Nicholson, creator of "Soul Recovery," is interviewed about the spiritual approach to addiction recovery and life transformation.

Today's talk features guest speaker and musician Ester Nicholson. Dwelling in gratitude and practicing the presence is so important. God is not in the healing business. It is in the "is-ness" business. God does not need to heal what it cannot know, what doesn't exist. What needs healing... what are we afraid of? Nothing. When we return to Reality, what isn't real goes away. But when we are unconscious, we can't tell the difference between the true and the false. All we have to do is practice the presence and when we go a little astray, we'll come back easily. Don't tell God about your problems, tell your problems about God.
This week's program features music that opens the heart and soothes the soul. Our special guest is Rev. Jamie Sanders, senior minister at Unity of Pensacola, Florida. We'll be hearing from some of his favorite artists, such as Bukeka Shoals, Ester Nicholson, J.D. Martin and Jan Garrett.
The daughter of a Baptist minister and raised in a home with strong gospel roots, Ester Nicholson has taken her music around the globe performing as a vocalist with Rod Stewart, Bette Midler, Brenda Russell, Al Green, Faith Hill, Beyonce, Carol King, Barbara Streisand and many others. But the real story of Ester Nicholson is not her famous performances on Good Morning America or on tours around the world. The untold story is her recovery from drug addiction through her genuine love of the Divine, and the incredible life transformation that resulted from that love.
