Send one way text to Rev Rachel Turning the attention to ourselves and our own healing is the greatest gift we can give to anyone who's recovering from addiction or other life challenges. When someone we love enters treatment, it's an opportunity to focus on our own Soul Recovery and allow them to fully embrace their own journey of recovery.• Understanding that our loved ones' readiness for treatment is an opening for our own healing• Recognizing that trying to control or fix others actually keeps us stuck in dysfunction• Learning to see others wholeness, not as their addiction or behaviors• Breaking the cycle of focusing entirely on others while neglecting our own well-being• Setting healthy boundaries that honor our healing while supporting others' recovery journeys• Practicing detachment with love—letting go while still holding care• Moving from empathy (taking on others' pain) to compassion (witnessing with love)• Developing unconditional love that doesn't enable destructive behaviors• Creating peace within ourselves regardless of others' choicesRemember that feelings are part of being human, and even intense pain will pass. Send one way text to Rev Rachel In this episode, we take a deep and compassionate look at the hidden emotion of resentment—the bitterness, hurt, and injustice we carry long after a moment has passed. Resentment can quietly shape our relationships, thoughts, and inner peace without us even realizing it. Through the lens of Soul Recovery, I explore how this emotion often masks deeper wounds like grief, abandonment, and unmet expectations. Together, we uncover how to recognize resentment not as a flaw, but as a sacred invitation to healing. I share personal stories, psychological insights, and spiritual practices to help you shift the narrative, release what no longer serves you, and reclaim your power with compassion and grace. In this episode of the Recover Your Soul Podcast, Rev Rachel introduces a powerful spiritual tool: the phrase “of course.”This gentle, compassionate practice invites you to look at your past behaviors, choices, and patterns through the lens of grace rather than shame. Instead of asking “What's wrong with me?” you begin to affirm: Of course I did the best I could with what I had.Through the lens of Soul Recovery, this phrase becomes a doorway to deep self-love and the release of shame. It allows you to soften judgment, forgive yourself, and come back to the truth:✨ You are not broken—you are remembering your wholeness. ✨ Of course you are worthy. Of course you are lovable. Of course you can heal.Let this episode support your journey back to yourself, one compassionate breath at a time.Join Rev. This episode is a gentle reminder that you don't have to have it all together to be on a spiritual path. In Soul Recovery, we learn that our desire to fix, control, or rush through discomfort only deepens our suffering. This conversation offers tools to help you soften into the present moment and let go of the belief that your healing has to look a certain way. Whether you're struggling with codependency, trying to manage someone else's life, or simply tired from carrying too much, this episode is here to remind you: it's okay to be exactly where you are. When we stop pushing against what is and open to grace, we return to the truth that we are always guided, supported, and enough—right here, right now.Join Rev. Send one way text to Rev Rachel As we move through life, many of us unconsciously carry mental scorecards—marking every unmet expectation, every imbalance, every moment we don't feel seen or respected. In this episode, I share how that scorekeeping nearly unraveled my marriage and strained my connection with my children. What I discovered is that it was never really about who did the dishes or picked up the socks—it was about the deeper desire for respect, for energetic balance, for love. Soul Recovery teaches us to turn inward, to ask what our reactions reveal about our own beliefs, needs, and wounds, so we can begin healing at the root. This doesn't mean excusing harmful behavior or pretending everything is okay—it means reclaiming our power, seeing with spiritual eyes, and making choices aligned with our authentic selves. When I stopped keeping score and started focusing on energy exchange and honest connection, everything shifted. This practice extends beyond our closest relationships into how we interact with the world: with compassion, with clarity, and with courage. What scorecards are you holding? And what could change if you put them down and chose to see through the eyes of love?Join me IN PERSON on April 13th in Sacramento California for an all day retreat to deepen your Soul Recovery Process. In this episode of Recover Your Soul, we're exploring the power of letting go of the fight and stepping into inner peace when others see the same situation differently.Soul Recovery teaches us that we are powerless over how others think, feel, and process their experiences. We don't need to be validated by others to trust our own truth. When we release the need to be “on the same page,” we create space for healing, compassion, and self-acceptance. And just as we honor our own experience, we can extend that same compassion to others—allowing them to have their own truth, even when it differs from ours.I'll share personal experiences and Soul Recovery tools to help you:Stop seeking validation from those who may never see it your way.Release attachment to the pain stories that keep you stuck.Embrace the freedom of allowing others their own perceptions.Have compassion for their perspective, even when it's different from yours.Find empowerment in shifting your own perception.FREE Soul Recovery Support Group on Zoom- 1st Monday of the Month from 6-7PM Mountain Time, free and open to everyone! "My spouse is currently sober and I want to know, how and when can I talk about things that he had done while under the influence that were immensely painful to me, without seeming like I'm shaming him.  What would be the best approach?" Reading from 'How Al-Anon Works for Friends and Families of Alcoholics', Rev Rachel reflects on the importance of compassionate communication and using the Soul Recovery process to heal from difficult and painful life experiences.  We can not change the past, however, we can work to let go of the pain and resentment that those experiences have been for us in our lives and relationships and learn how to communicate in healthy and open ways. This podcast is for educational purposes only and is not allied or representative of any organizations or religions, but is based on the opinions and experience of Rev. Send one way text to Rev Rachel In this episode of the Recover Your Soul podcast, we explore one of the most profound questions in relationships: how to know whether to stay or leave. Through the lens of Soul Recovery, we'll look at how relationships, whether they're sources of love, challenge, or growth, can be powerful mirrors for our inner healing. This journey invites us to step into our own wholeness, moving beyond fear, codependency, or people-pleasing, and learning to listen to the wisdom within. Relationships have seasons, and part of our Soul Recovery process is gaining clarity on whether a relationship still aligns with our true self or if it's time to release it with compassion. It's not about a “right” or “wrong” decision but about trusting your soul's wisdom to lead you towards greater peace, healing, and joy in your life. Join me as we tap into this courageous self-inquiry and open ourselves to the possibility that, by honoring our own path, we step closer to the life our soul truly seeks. This podcast is for educational purposes only and is not allied or representative of any organizations or religions, but is based on the opinions and experience of Rev.
