Happy Purim! Transhumanism. Covid 19, The Jab, World War 3 and Gaslighting1 Here are five ways that the Hamans of today are trying to get rid of the Mordecais of this same day. But we see that even though the holiday is named Purim, meaning lots (dice), which is a game of chance, God is sovereign and He wins. This is why we can rest confident in knowing that if we obey God like Esther and we stand for righteousness like Mordecai, we will see the intervention of the Almighty in time and according to God's bigger plan!!! --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/propheticangle/message

Cross TrainingFind Encouragement in the Stories of FaithRead or WatchTraining for half marathons, I realized I'm not a huge fan of running as a recreational activity. But race day is a different story! If every training run had that same sense of excitement and camaraderie with thousands of other runners, it'd be different. Running Phoenix's Rock 'n' Roll marathon, you have rock bands playing every couple miles, people giving you high-fives, and plenty of encouragement. And the difference between training and race day highlights the importance of keeping our eyes on all the faithful witnesses that went before us. We're Cross Training to develop our endurance, one of twelve marks of the Master we're working on this year. Endurance comes when we look to faithful witnesses in God's word, grow stronger in suffering, remain consistent, and bear each other's burdens. So how do the faithful figures found in Scripture stir us to endure and keep going? What You Need to KnowWhen we read about David taking his stand against Goliath (1 Sam. 17) or Esther courageously outwitting Haman (Est. 8), we find the strength to face our own Goliaths and Hamans. When Job refuses to give up, we want to see how his epic story ends (Job 42) because in his struggles, we see a little bit of our own. And when Elijah feels all the world is out to get him, and no one's on his side, we lean in to hear "the sound of a low whisper" (1 Kings 19:12) and long to know what God will speak to his lonely soul. In all these accounts about people "of whom the world was not worthy" (Heb. 11:38), we find both encouragement and a challenge to continue living by faith as they did. Because by faith, "the people of old received their commendation" (Heb. 11:2). God could've filled the Scriptures with anything, but he chose to give us a vast collection of stories about devoted people. Why has so much been written about these forerunners of faith? "For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, that through endurance and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope" (Rom. 15:4).What You Need to DoApproach your spiritual life like a marathon, not a sprint. Taking to heart the examples that went before you (good and bad!), eliminate anything that slows you down. As the conclusion of Scripture's "Hall of Faith" coaches us mid-run:"Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us" (Heb. 12:1). Don't gloss over the sins of your heroes. After all, the Bible doesn't! Recognize the weaknesses and missteps in Noah (Gen. 9:21-23), Abraham (Gen. 20), Moses (Num. 20), David (2 Sam. 11), and the rest of the "witnesses" that surround us (Heb. 12:1). When you see your own faults, take heart, knowing that God can forgive our sins (1 John 2:2) and perfect his power in our weaknesses (2 Cor. 12:9). Though we're all like jars of clay — fragile and unimpressive — he places within us a treasure that shines brighter than the sun (2 Cor. 4:6-7). So we take the baton to run the next leg of the race — joining the long line of imperfect servants giving their all to glorify a perfect God.And finally, never, ever take your eyes of our perfect forerunner, the one whose name is "Faithful and True" (Rev. 19:11). When the path is hard to see and it seems the uphill climb will never end, remember that Jesus found a way to stand in every kind of trial (Heb. 4:15) so that we can take his route and "follow in his steps" (1 Peter 2:21). Just keep running, "looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God" (Heb. 12:2). Through the WeekRead (Mon) — Matt. 5:11-12; Acts 7:2-60; Rom. 15:4-5; 1 Cor. 10:1-13; Heb. 11:1-40Reflect (Tue) — What do I need to learn from the saints of old?Request (Wed) — "Father, help us imitate faithful examples, as they imitate Christ" (cf. 1 Cor. 11:1). Purim and the Longing for a Better World§ The holiday of Purim is relevant to the Jewish people because it illustrates how to combat the cause of anti-Semitism and the suffering in the world. While most people think of Purim primarily as a celebration of deliverance, chockful of food, drinking and costumes, perhaps there is more. If the deeper meaning of the story it might be a model for our world. § The desire to eliminate the Hamans of the world takes unity and the ability to set aside the partisan divisions. Under the threat of imminent death, Mordecai was able to get all the Jews in Persia to fast and pray for three days together.A Core Concept§ The festival of Purim offers Jews a powerful lesson, teaching them not to despair even when dangers are most threatening and persecution most cruel. § Its festivities cheered the Jew in his darkest moments and assured him that deliverance was at hand and justice is assured.§ The nature of the Purim festival contrasts with that of Persian banquets because Purim obligated acts of tzedakah (“justice”). Feasts as the Skeleton of Esther§ A prominent structuring principle in Esther is the Hebrew word mishteh, translated “feast” or “banquet”. § The term appears twenty times in the book – almost half of all OT occurrences. A Core Teaching in PurimMordecai makes manot (sending of portions) (9:19) central. There is joy and merrymaking but the consumption of food through which an identify is forged and sustained focuses on the praise of justice, not reveling in revenge. The exchange of manot creates a symbolic communal banquet to which everyone is invited, thus making the banquet the main feature of the holiday. The story’s ending returns to its beginning to transform the banquet motif on several levels—from an anthropological perspective, royal banquets that reinforce social divisions by showcasing wealth give way to a banquet that emphasizes community through mutual relatedness. Most importantly, generosity toward the poor forces the Jewish perspective beyond a concern with self to a concern for others.Purim, Tzedakah and Tikkum OlamTzedakah (justice or righteousness) has the strong connotation concerned with the recipient’s dignity irrespective of any differences. It expresses a Jew’s duty to their fellow human being as mandated in the Torah (Deut. 16:20).Tikkun Olam concerns social justice that repairs the world. The Torah envisioned a just, social order intended to benefit the poor and the wellbeing of society (Lev. 25:8-17; Deut. 14:28-29; 15:1-18 etc.) Purim extends the opportunity and obligation to perform tzedakah to establish tikkun olam.ConclusionIn the Esther story we are confronted with a document whose narrative arc is more expansive that the deliverance of the Jews.It is the story of the human family surviving the threats of extinction through hatred and violence. It is a call to a bigger banquet that includes all the human family regardless of origin. This vision is told by Jesus himself in Luke 14:1-24

Haman is now brought in to the presence of the king and queen for the second banquet. It was here and now that the king asked Esther what her great petition was. What a difficult place for the queen to be in- Would the king really listen to her- What would Haman do next- But she does make her request known, and begs the king for her life and the lives of her people. And in answer to the king's astonished question, she reveals the name of the would-be assassin- -this wicked Haman-- And he met his just reward -- on the very same gallows that he had hoped to hang Mordecai on. --Everything has been turned around- Very often, the Lord does not work in the way that we expect Him to. Here we see how Esther -- who had the death sentence upon her, just as much as every other Jew -- was saved by God and employed by Him to also save the lives of His chosen people. --God has a plan for us, too- The Hamans and Ahasueruses of this world cannot thwart His Gospel-Kingdom. His plan for sinful humanity, which was under the death sentence, was for Jesus to come and take our place -- facing God's wrath upon the cross. He works in such a way that He turns darkness into light-

PRAYER FOCUS: ARE YOU GLADLY BUILDING A SANCTUARY FOR GOD’S PRESENCE IN YOUR LIFE AND THE LIFE OF YOUR NATION? Listen to the Prayer Audio: Heavenly Father, Protect and bless us as we draw close to Your Heart for we are here to worship and praise You. Knowing Your Heart is why we are here and why we are seeking Your Perfect Will in all we do and say this day and all the days ahead of us. We thank You for the Gift of Your Son who in loving us has really shown us Your Heart and so in this time we are together may we like Him worship You in spirit and truth! May we grow stronger in our Love for You and follow Your Command Your Son said to us love one another as I have loved you! Father it is Your Heart that love fill the whole earth and all of us as Your Family and to build You a Sanctuary among us so that You fill us with Your Presence and we will see Your Glory shine in us and in one another. Father, it is Your Call that our hearts be a Sanctuary for Your Presence and that all we do and say will be used to draw the lost, the abandoned, the sick and the lame and the widow and orphan into the Love found in Your Sanctuary among us. Lord, we know it is Your desire that none should perish so we intercede for them and that all of our actions draw men to see Your Presence in us and around us! We are here Father, to gladly and willingly be used to offer Sanctuary to all who seek to know You and to be saved by the Blood of Your Son, Jesus the Christ! Father, fulfilling Your Perfect Will is our desire and goal and You have spoken through Your Prophets that in our land we are to lead by the ones You have anointed to lead us. Father we have shown You we want what You want in re- electing President Trump. But the enemy has planted weeds among our crop. So Lord, we intercede that the harvest begin by separating the wheat from the chaff on the the threshing floor where we have built our altar to worship and praise You! Lord the enemy has stolen from us that which we have desired, so give us the Wisdom now to move and o what needs to be done to restore what the prophets have said is to be! Let Your Holy Fire burn up the chaff that is among us so that we will see Your Magnificent Glory change what man has done in shame and let us return to the Plan You have given us and fulfill it now here in America, Israel and across the earth! Father, one thing that You have made that is sacred and holy is the womb of woman for it is the privilege to bear and grow life in a child who is our future and a sign of Your Presence in our lives. Father, we have made a mockery of this sacredness by allowing it is a woman's body and she can do what she wants with it and allowing abortion to be in the land. Now is the time Lord for us to rise and give voice to change the laws and to stand firm that all life is Precious and it is our Gift to us! Lord, we seek the strength to stop the Hamans and jackals that have stolen the offices of authority to re-in-state this abomination in our land. Lord, we speak in the authority of Jesus this stops now and we will see the anointed return to lead us and stop this! Lord, let Your Mighty had of Justice strike the enemy now just as You did for the Hebrew children in their time of deliverance from Pharaoh and his army. By the Blood of Jesus wash away this iniquity from our land! Father, it our prayer that the covenant You made with us be completely restored and that the righteous will arise to return us to live by Justice as is in our Constitution. Father, You have been exposing the corruption in our land even in the highest court so now let the plan to overcome this and destroy the corruption be brought forth now in such a way that You get all the Glory and this nation will know it is You, who love us and have called us to be Light like Your Son Jesus in this day and in this hour! So shall it be Lord! What You Will is what we freely accept and use our will power to fulfill. Thank You,

Ariella Lindström   Text Esters Bok kap 3 Musik Juif Espagnol/ Enrico Macias Producent Neta Norrmo Produktionsbolaget Munck för Sveriges Radio Göteborg liv@sverigesradio.se

A Little Walk With God

A daily devotional walking through God's word together using The Bible Reading Plan at http://www.bible-reading.com/bible-plan.html. Our website http://alittlewalkwithgod.com. Today my devotions took me to the book of Esther. A fascinating story that never mentions the name of God. You can certainly see the hand of God throughout the story, but his name is not mentioned. I've heard and preached many sermons on the sage pronouncement Mordecai gives to his niece, Queen to King Xerxes. He says to her, “Who knows but you were made queen for just such a time as this.” Esther was the only person in a position to stop the massacre of the Jewish people after Haman, a prince in the nation, convinced the king to destroy every Jew across the land because of his personal hatred of the race. But today I'd like to talk about something a little different than the usual sermon topic in the book of Esther. I'd like to exam the character of the king and Haman. We see people like them everywhere today. As a matter of fact, their character types plague us today when you begin to explore who they really are and their roles in the drama that played out in the first few chapters of the story. First, let's look at Haman. Here was a political figure who had it all. He climbed the ladder of success to become an advisor to the king. Few could just walk into the throne room without a personal invitation, but Haman could. He was special in the kingdom. The king could trust few people with his signet ring to make proclamations in his name, but Haman held that kind of trust. People bowed to Haman just as they bowed to the king. People may not have respected Haman because of the way he gained his position, his power and influence. But people paid homage to him because of those things. He was rich. He was deemed intelligent. He was at the ear of the king in every decision made about the kingdom. And you can be sure every decision the king made was good for Haman before it was good for the kingdom. Most of the people around the kingdom would like to be like Haman. Rich. Powerful. Prestigious. Standing at the right hand of the king. Almost a god in his own eyes. What a life! Most people longed for a life like Haman's. Mordecai was not like most people, though. And so Haman hated him. Mordecai was a Jew and bowed to no one except God. He would not even consider bowing to one of God's creations because God said not to have any gods before him. There was only one God and he was not Haman. So while everyone else bowed when Haman walked by, Mordecai just stood there. Haman despised the man. But his hatred went a little deeper. He hated every Jew because Mordecai was a Jew. His prejudice showed through his behavior, his emotions, his every action. Haman hated a whole race of people because Mordecai would not bow to him when he went in and out of the gates of the royal palace. So here's the point I want to make about Haman. We get the rest of the story about how Haman was humiliated by having to praise Mordecai for a deed he had done several years earlier. We get the part about Queen Esther intervening on behalf of the Jews and saving her people by appealing to the king allowing them to defend themselves against those Haman demanded kill her race. But we're focusing on Haman. Did you get the point about Haman hating a whole race because of the actions of one man? Did you see how Mordecai's refusal to bow to him led him to want to kill every man, woman, and child of Jewish ancestry? Did you see the character flaw in Haman that even if Mordecai harmed him in some way, let him become blind to the good in people and carried his hatred to a whole race instead of focusing his attention on the one who did him wrong? Now look around the neighborhoods where you live. Do you know any Hamans? Or worse, yet? Do you spread your prejudice to a race of people because of the harm one or two people of one race or another might have done to you in the past? Do you harbor hatred and vengeance in your heart against a whole class of people because of what a few have done? We see it every year in our election processes here. Democrats against Republicans. Doesn't matter which side of the aisle you're on. If you can't understand that both sides need salvation and both sides need to put God at the head of the party instead of their political leader, our nation is doomed. And guess what. God has disappeared from our political process. The Supreme Court says he must not be mentioned. Something about separation of church and state. Didn't seem to be a problem for the gentlemen who founded the country, but it is today in our not so Christian nation. So, do you have a tendency to be like Haman and pour out your negative thoughts and ideology against a race just because? Think about it. God made us all. Everyone who breathes the air around us were made in his image. In fact, Jesus didn't look like the white guy in most of the paintings we see. Remember he was born in Bethlehem. A community of Jews who lived in Israel. He looked a lot more like the terrorists we see on television every once in a while than he looks like me. Dark haired. Olive skinned. Probably large nosed. Middle eastern. Israeli native. Jew. So what kind of prejudice do you need to overcome when you think about Haman's hatred of the Jews because of Mordecai. Well, let's move on to King Xerxes. What a guy. No one could come into his throne room unless he invited them. If he doesn't raise his scepter and you walk into the room, his guard immediately run you through with a spear. Great guy. He banished his first queen because she wouldn't dance in front of a bunch of drunken guests. Yep, put him on the list of folks most likely to invite your next party. Oops, scratch that. He picks his next wife by sleeping with the most beautiful women in the kingdom and that's the best criteria he can come up with to find his next queen. He must have spent a lot of time coming up with a good list of things he wanted in his next queen before he started on this quest for the right virgin girl. Right. Now take a look at his kingdom. He trusts this guy Haman with everything. He probably knows little about his character or he wouldn't put him in charge. But because King Xerxes doesn't seem to know anything about being a king, only a bored bully, he lets Haman do whatever he wants and in his boredom, gives him his signet ring and tells him to just go write whatever he wants to get rid of the race that seems to be pestering him. Great analysis went into his decision making, I'm sure. Even the king's decision to have Haman hung was pretty flighty when you really look at it. There was no defense. No question. No chance for Haman to tell the king he was pleading with Esther for her help in calming the king and helping him out of this situation. He had no chance to tell the king he didn't have any untoward feelings for Esther and only touched her couch to beg her forgiveness. The king flew off the handle. He didn't stop to think. He didn't seek any explanation. He assumed he knew what was going on when he really didn't. He thought he was smart enough to know everything about everything because he was king. So Haman had an immediate trial with the king as judge and jury. Haman had no chance to appeal. He was immediately sentenced to die. King Xerxes needed some anger management classes in the worst way. Know anyone like that? Know anyone that goes from zero to ten in a flash without thinking? Know anyone that decides the worst about something without really knowing what's happening? Just flies into a rage because? King Xerxes may have been different in that he had the power of life and death at his fingertips as king, but we can just as easily destroy someone's life with our words or actions when we act as this king did. We can destroy relationships in a flash when we decide we know everything about a situation when we really know nothing about what is going on and we completely misinterpret the circumstance surrounding us. The book of Esther has some great lessons for us. All the players teach us monumental truths about how to live or how not to live. Haman and the king certainly give us the negative side. Pay attention to them, though. If we don't pay attention to history and understand what happened and why, we are bound to repeat it. With the tension abounding in our political processes right now, we need to go back and take a look at our history books. 1860 to 1865 were not good years for us. We don't need to repeat them, but we are getting really close if we don't get on our knees and ask for God's help. You can find me at richardagee.com. I also invite you to join us at San Antonio First Church of the Nazarene on West Avenue in San Antonio to hear more Bible based teaching. You can find out more about my church at SAF.church. Until next week, may God richly bless you as you venture into His story each day.
