In our time-honored tradition of having Rushian authors fill our emotional airwaves here on RushRash, Chaz and Shatz welcome author, podcaster, and all out Rock and Heavy Metal Historian, best-selling author Martin Popoff for a super-charged Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Name-Dropping episode that leaves our co-hosts slack-jawed. Join the guys as they get the Martin's stories on... Working directly with Rush on their authorized biography. What it was really like to talk Rush music with Neil? As much a taboo topic as they say? Getting to live the dream and speak with over 1,800 musicians and creatives from all walks, from up and coming, to just about anyone you can name in rock and heavy metal. Literally anyone... After having 130 books on practically every rock and metal band, what are Martin's thoughts on the greatest bands in rock? We get to the real reason Alex Lifeson is the Rodney Dangerfield of rock guitarists. What it's like to talk to world-famous rock stars in a great, in-depth interview, just to find out the tape wasn't rolling…and you're on a deadline! A really interesting numbers theory from Rush fan Jeff Lodgeson. Was Neil hiding easter eggs in plain sight…for mathmaticians and numerologists?? The wheel gives us Subdivisions off 1982's Signals. Given all of the voices in this podcast were young enough to remember waiting for this album and first hearing this song, this is a show that goes to our teenage anghst. But not just there...with Martin's encyclopaedic knowledge of all things rock and metal, this episode delivers delightful diversions that would have been entertainment for kids growing up in the suburbs, We name-drop some of our usual suspects of our own like rushvault.com, and we are always thinking about rushisaband.com, and our fantabulous sponsor, Danforth & Pape, and podcastle.ai! And we even nailed the Scratch List - go scratch that itch with any of these bands! We even got Martin to play Schatz's Scratch List - so now get out there and scratch that itch live: UK Scotland Moving Pictures Scotland Leoni Jane Kennedy RushFest Scotland North America USA YYNOT Second Contact Solar Federation Accidental Breakdown Rush Archives Mood Lifters Lotus Land Dumb Love Vapor Trail Rash The Discs A Farewell To Kings Canada New World Men 2112 YYC South America Brazil RushFest Brazil Rush news, general nonsensical disorderly conduct, lack of regard for correctness or truth, and reckless endangerment of your whole-brain. This is the only podcast dedicated to increasing opioid release in your anterior insula, your anterior cingulate cortex (ACC), and your posterior cingulate cortex (PCC), in addition to the basal ganglia and the thalamus...and all that that implies.   Some thick North Jersey accents and they give you some royalty-free sound effects and movie clips too - what more do you need to indulge your urge to scratch?!  Join us - you know where to scratch - blah, blah...RushRash.

In case you missed it being previously reported, dear friend of The Drill Down and longtime Geeks of Doom contributor Greg Davies (also known as cgt2099), passed away suddenly on the morning of January 29th. For 124 episodes, Greg & Tom Cheredar traversed spacetime into complex discussions to deliver a critique of new Doctor Who episodes via the TARDISblend podcast. Greg & Andrew Sorcini collaborated on over 100 episodes of The Round Up, sharing stories from respective podcasts, and their favorite music. In a special edition episode of TDD, regular hosts Andrew, Dwayne De Freitas & Tosin Onafowokan are joined by TARDISblend co-host for a tribute that highlights Greg's achievements, his vast commitment to those he cared about, and his long history as a podcast pioneer. Spanning over a decade, Greg hosted and produced many other podcasts, including Heavy Metal Historian, Social Blend, BlendOver, Craniumelody, The Round Up, and more. For anyone who knew Greg or listened to him over the years, we hope you enjoy this proper send off. "Dilligaf" and Godspeed.
