"Hello Clarice..." "I ate his liver with some fava beans and a nice Chianti." So many great lines from this film based on the book written by Thomas Harris, with the film starring Anthony Hopkins and Jodie Foster. You can watch this film for free on Tube, Pluto, or Roku, so check it out if you haven't watched it yet. The film synopsis is: a young F.B.I. cadet must receive the help of an incarcerated and manipulative cannibal killer to help catch another serial killer, a madman who skins his victims. Themed Cocktails: A classic glass of Chianti (I recommend Ruffino Riserva Ducale), but you can also opt for an actual cocktail... Hello, Clarice (cointreau.com): Ingredients 0.75 oz Cointreau 1.5 oz Rye whiskey 0.75 oz Fresh lemon juice 1 dash Angostura Bitters 0.5 oz Chianti float Directions Add Cointreau, whiskey, fresh lemon juice, and bitters to a shaker with ice. Shake and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Hold a bar spoon with the back facing up, just above the cocktail's surface. Slowly pour the Chianti to layer. The Silence of the Lambs Drinking Game (drinkwhen.ca and sober.co): Someone says “Clarice” Someone says “Starling” You see a moth or a butterfly Hannibal looks directly into the camera / your soul Clarice has a flashback. Hannibal gives false information about Buffalo Bill. Someone dies or we see a dead body. Skin or Skinning is mentioned. Finish your drink during Buffalo Bill's famous dance! Let's eat some fava beans and pour a glass of chianti as the hosts join their friend, Dr. Hannibal Lector, for dinner to continue their 90's movie reviews with the award-winning, psychological horror, cult-classic film, The Silence Of The Lambs, starring Sir Anthony Hopkins and Jodie Foster. Many consider this film one of the most iconic horror movies, with Hopkins being one of the scariest villains of all time. The hosts pair the film with the “Hello Clarice” cocktail. Join the hosts as they dive deep into the madness that is Dr. Lector's labyrinthine mind just in time for this Halloween season. "Hello Clarice..." easily one of the most memorable and iconic lines in film history. Delivered with devilish perfection from the one and only Sir Anthony Hopkins in the role that defined his career. In Silence of the Lambs we were introduced to quite possibly the greatest on-screen villain of all-time Hannibal "the Cannibal" Lecter. As we begin our Halloween spooky season kick-off we wanted to approach the most charming villain we can think of. And not just the Anthony Hopkins version but easily the next best incarnation in Mads Mikkelsen from the NBC series Hannibal. We're also going to touch on the 2 other incarnations of Hannibal there have been on-screen from Manhunter and Hannibal Rising not mention the books. So we won't keep you waiting any longer that would be well - rude and we all know what Dr. Lecter does with the rude. "Ready when you are Sgt. Pembry..." --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/jafnpodcast/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/jafnpodcast/support

Hello Clarice, this week Bjorn and David review reviews of a prequel to the film that actually contains the “Hello Clarice” line, while also veering off to discuss Michael Petersen, IKEA furniture, self-help books, and the difference between horror and thrillers.
Hello Clarice ... IS APPARENTLY NOT WHAT HE SAYS AT ALL. Pete takes Kevin through the masterly well crafted crime thriller (not horror because it won awards) movie Silence of the Lambs. Learn everything about why Anthony Hopkins is not invited to Kevin's birthday party. There's apparently stuff about the movie in there too.
"Well, Hello Clarice" Thanks to the bone-chilling performance of Anthony Hopkins, The Silence of the Lambs has become a franchise that has no shortage of sequels and spin offs that is continuing to be milked for all it's worth. But what's the big deal anyway? Join Tuong La and intrepid FBI detective in training, Kelley Oliver, as they watch this classic psychological thriller horror for the first time and crack the case on why 1991's The Silence of the Lambs is one of the most revered movies of all time. Hello Clarice. So nice to see you taking an interest in the delicious little conversations we call PODCASTS. You're in for a real treat this time Starling, it's an episode all about yours truly, Hannibal Lecter. Not to brag but there have been quite a few films and shows based on our adventures and these delectable horror studs from Brooklyn, all the way in the N.Y.C. decided to sit down and devour them all. It's a real.....snack. Quid Pro Quo, what are you waiting for agent? Your turn. Listen if you can stomach it. I dare say you'll enjoy yourself. Krys and Matty discuss the films RED DRAGON, MANHUNTER, HANNIBAL and of course our main course, SILENCE OF THE LAMBS. There's also talk of our forays into television with HANNIBAL and CLARICE, our crudely self titled if not visually savory TV Dinners. Sit down and let the laughs and insights wash over you like a calming rain and may the lambs stop screaming, if only for a moment. I'm all out of puns and it's time to feed the pigs. Hello Clarice. Anthony Hopkins turns in the performance of a lifetime as the cannibal serial killer Hannibal Lecter, as does Jodi Foster as FBI agent-in-training Clarice Starling in the film that has defined the Thiller genre for a generation, and perhaps more. So, what makes this MORE than just a crime story? And why does it still rise above other serial-killer thrillers that have come after it? We bite in, this week!

Oh no, ATA Listeners! We've got a serial killer on the loose with this week's episode and his name is Andy! Just joking, we enjoy having Andy here on ATA to the point that we have appointed him as Nico's cohost for a new section premiering on today's podcast dedicated to the show that inspired our serial killer themed title, The Following. In fact, that's not all the Andy you are getting in this episode as voicemailing extraordinaire Woo S. Kim joins him for an all new weekly discussion on Glee that obviously doesn't involve committing murderous acts of terror but I did hear that you have to watch out for buses. Anyway, besides Glee are other favorite shows didn't escape the theme of at least someone going on a violent rampage as Once upon a Time introduced Frankenstein's monster, a deranged nerd enslaved a fairy to kill innocent Live-Action Role-Play Gamers and Castle certainly had a title that inspired a serial killer theme with Death Gone Crazy but ultimately it left us with a mystery that left us disappointed. Even the sitcoms got in on the violence as Luke played a hitman in the Modern Family version of a scene from one of the greatest movies of all time and Go On featured Mr. K taking revenge by performing dirty deeds, done dirt cheap with NFL Star Terrel Owens. Then moving into the Airwaves Rundown Section, the killer mayhem continued as the addition of a White Collar section and the departure of our Last Resort section was coupled with the return of the always chilling serial killer Christopher Pelant on this week's Bones along with discussions on some shocking life taking moments involving presidential assassinations, conspiracy wielding senators, preaching snake charmers, crazed night–school students and Barney Stenson getting married?! Yep, it's pretty much like Silence of the Lambs up in here with this week's episode, so curl up with a can of Fava Beans to give this podcast a listen at your own risk as throughout the show, someone could sneak up behind you and say "Hello Clarice" in a cold, robotic voice.
