The Murder, We Spoke trio are hard at work creating episodes for their 10th season — potentially, their last season. If Bernie doesn't see a significant bump in listeners, downloads, advertisements, etc. she's walking away and devoting the rest of her life to her stable job at Lunar Legs — a high-end athletic retail store. After wrapping up their recording, Bernie heads to work where she must deal with her toxic assistant manager, Rita. As Bernie attempts to have a work-life balance conversation with Rita, an intruder breaks into Lunar Legs demanding money. Rita appears unconcerned for Bernie's safety and refuses to give the intruder what he wants, even at gunpoint. As Bernie and Rita argue, something inside of Bernie begins to bubble to the surface. Like an itch she has been desperate to scratch for many years. When that itch breaks through, there is nothing Bernie can do to stop it. Murder, We Spoke is a podcast in a podcast in a podcast. On today's podcast we talk about the latest coronavirus news and how it is shutting down some countries. We also preview the big vote Tuesday in the Democratic primary as former candidates line up behind former Vice President Joe Biden and former South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg gets a shot at late-night comedy. Israel requires anyone who enters the country to be isolated for 14 days and Italy banned any travel within the country. Coronavirus panic is spreading faster than the virus. At least five members of Congress are self-quarantining after being exposed at CPAC, including Republican Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz. When the House voted to fund anti-coronavirus measures, Gaetz jokingly wore a gas mask to the vote. After exposure, he flew on Air Force One with the president and spent time with the Trump family. He's not joking around anymore. We get into all of it. Democrats are voting today in a mini-Super Tuesday and this vote may end Independent Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders' campaign. If Bernie doesn't win a few states, this will likely be the end even if he doesn't suspend his campaign. We get into it. Biden's former opponents are now endorsing him, but how does what they're saying now jive with what they were saying about him just a few months ago? We have the audio. Finally, Buttigieg is going to be guest-hosting Jimmy Kimmel Live. A guy who is not noted for his sense of humor is getting a shot every comedian would kill for because of politics. We talk about it.

5:50: In this latest issue of my weekly podcast, I discuss which equities crashed and by how much. Energy and financials have fallen the fastest. Energy due to the plunge in oil prices, and financial due to the plunge in the yield curve. Around the rest of the world, the equity plunge was equally steep. The Global Dow is down 15.2% over the last 10 days and was down 7.7% yesterday. The markets that have fallen the most are mainly emerging market countries in Latin America and the weaker economies of Europe.10:20: Last Tuesday, the FOMC enacted an emergency rate cut of half a percent. And yes, on cue, the yield curve de-inverted. But here's the interesting thing. If the Fed Funds rate had simply sunk to the Fed's lower bound of 1.0%, we would still be brutally inverted given how far the 10Y has gone down. Typically, when the markets are not expecting any future Fed cuts or hikes, the 3M Treasury yield should be very close to the overnight Fed Funds rate. Undoubtedly, the markets think that the overnight Fed Funds rate will soon be lower. Much lower. Are you prepared for the possibility that the Fed could be hitting the zero bound on near-term rates by as early as March 18… or April 29? 18:45: How much will the virus slow down the global economy? We can't yet measure what it's doing to economic activity outside of China because the spread has been too recent. But we do have some idea of what has happened inside China. Their PMIs came in last week for February at the lowest levels ever seen. the Caixin Manf PMI was 40.3; it has never before been below 47. The Caixin Services PMI was 26.5; it has never before been below 50. Right now, the data on subway traffic, rail and plane tickets, migrant traffic, and so on indicates that people are still very slow to return to work and that the deep freeze is still on. 23:20: The price of crude oil sank. What set the stage for the drop was steady downward global pressure on oil consumption and prices over the last 18 months, due to cooling global trade and industrial production. But what delivered the sudden hit was Russia's refusal to go along with Saudi Arabia's steady plan to ratchet down oil exports. Why did Russia refuse? Apparently, Putin is furious that American shale oil producers are getting a free ride from all this production cutting by OPEC and its Vienna Group allies. U.S. producers sure aren't cutting their production. Putin thinks that a somewhat lower price would put a lot of high-cost U.S. producers out of business.37:30: Is it all over for Sanders? The odds favor Biden, but Sanders still has a shot. All eyes are on the Michigan primary. If Bernie loses Michigan by a significant margin, well then maybe we can start really marking down his odds. But if he wins or comes close, his campaign could recapture vital momentum. Right now, Biden is ahead in the polls in Michigan by 22 pp. But remember, that was exactly how much Hillary Clinton was ahead of Bernie in the state back in 2016--when Bernie staged an amazing come-from-behind victory and beat her.***The content featured here is a small part of Hedgeye’s Demography Unplugged, a game-changing market intelligence product brought to you by historian, demographer and best-selling author Neil Howe. Last year, the market started focusing on earnings and not just buying market share at any cost. Moving forwards, the industry will go through a shakeout with many companies going bankrupt. Look for companies with strong management, low costs and overheads, quality products and support from brokers/financiers. The cannabis sector is still in a downtrend and hasn't found a bottom yet, especially now as the broader markets are selling off due to the coronavirus. Buy and hold will not work going forwards, trading stocks is a better approach. I suspect the bottom of the general markets will come this summer, the same could be for the cannabis stocks. If Bernie Sanders wins the Democratic race, watch for him to push for legalization as part of his election campaign. They could win based on that, and if so U.S. cannabis stocks should start to rise in the summer and going into election time come Nov if he is ahead of Trump. If Bernie wins, the cannabis stocks in the U.S. will go parabolic by early next year with a strong rally... sell into that rally. In order to reach Vin please check out: www.investinmj.com and www.cannabisfm.com (podcast)

Bernie Sanders did win the popular vote count but total turnout was still low. In the subscriber portion, Kyle, Ethan and producer Dan discuss the deaths of Christopher Tolkien, the death of Rush lyricist and master drummer Neil Peart, and talk about how much money a gang of known criminals is telling you they want to take from you. Show Outline Introduction - Kyle and Ethan talk about Ethan’s proficiency with a mandolin slicer, hilarious Amazon reviews, and how Disneyland is getting old for Kyle’s kids. Kyle tells Ethan he is as beautiful and perfect as a Trump phone call. Story 1 - Media Offers Thoughts And Prayers That Someone Would Start Some Violence At Gun Rights Rally VA government is considering several gun control measures such as: a return to Virginia’s one-handgun-per-month purchase policy; red flag laws; and universal background checks for all gun sales except those among immediate family members, through inheritance or antiques. Big media and blue checkmarks hyped up the protest rally as a "white nationalist rally" and militias and insurrectionists who were going to be threatening. See Ben Collins' now-deleted tweet or this montage of CNN and MSNBC for example. "They're not coming to peacefully protest. They are coming to intimidate and cause harm," Gov Northam said declaring a state of emergency and banning all carrying of guns in the capital square. 22,000 gun rights activists showed up and finished peacefully. They even cleaned up after themselves.   People were openly and legally carrying firearms, including AR-style rifles, outside the gun-free Capitol Square. Story 2 - Bernie Sanders Clarifies His Gulags Will Be Democratic Gulags Project Veritas (James O’Keefe, a conservative political activist) releases undercover video of one of Bernie Sanders’ “top tier Iowa organizer” Staffer Kyle Jurek saying cities [will] burn” if President Donald Trump is re-elected, “free education” policies to “teach you how to not be a "flowerbed"-ing nazi.”; 'There is a reason Stalin had Gulags'; 'Expect violent reaction' for speech. If Bernie doesn't get nomination "Milwaukee will burn"... Project Veritas says they have more clips of more people too. The video has millions of views, almost zero coverage in mainstream media, and zero comment from Sanders campaign. Story 3 - Pelosi Releases Limited-Edition Replica Of Dentures Worn During Trump Impeachment 'They claim it's a somber, serious occasion they're heartbroken over...and then they pass out impeachment-signing pens with special cases.' The pens look like they are especially engraved, with gold, and were brought out on silver platters of some kind. Hate Mail - We got a special flowerbed-filled hate mail this week that trashed us and our audience. Topic of the Week - Martin Luther King, Jr. Day and Race MLK Jr was the most visible spokesperson for civil rights through non-violent protest movements inspired by Mohatma Ghandi/India Independence.  1955 organized Montgomery bus protest after Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat. Fought against desegregation and for voter’s rights In 1963 March on Washington gave his 'I Have A Dream' speech In 1964 won the nobel peace prize. Was investigated and spied on by the government for his supposed communist sympathies Assassinated in Memphis, TN in 1968. Joe Carter of TGC has 9 things you need to know about him.  Dr. Robert Gagnon points out some of the controvery in modern evangelical circles regarding whether we should we praise King while condemning Trump. Is MLK cancelled?  Conservatives and leftists both try to make MLK Jr supports their views on social justice, economics, or affirmative action. What does the Bible say about race? What did MLK’s speech actually say ( we read from lengethier sections) "I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal." "I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character." “Unearned suffering is redemptive.” Ethan also mentions Man’s Search For Meaning What are some principles we can apply to the race issue to cut through the noise Balancing caring for the oppressed and not pushing victim narrative Who gains from all the racial conflict? Who Ioses if the outrage stops. Paid-subscriber portion Story 1 - Peter Jackson To Honor Christopher Tolkien With 578-Film Adaptation Of 'The Silmarillion' Christopher Tolkien died at age 95 this past week. Anything Middle Earth that came out after JRRT published LOTR is because of his son Christopher’s editing and publishing them.  Peter Jackson made 3 whole movies out of the children’s book The Hobbit for some reason. Christopher didn’t like the LOTR movies (action movies for teenagers) He edited and posthumously published his father's work on The Silmarillion, Children of Húrin, Fall of Gondolin, Beren and Lúthien, and much more. Story 2 - Warning: Gang Of Known Criminals Holds Meeting To Discuss How Much Of Your Money To Steal National Review has a list of all their spending plans in the context of national debt hitting $28 Trillion by end of decade before their ideas are put in place. Democrats try to say the costs are offset by savings elsewhere Taking all of these proposals together, Democrats would increase federal spending by around $40 trillion over the next ten years. To put that in perspective, the federal government will take in approximately $3.3 trillion in taxes this year and spend $4.1 trillion this year. Bernie Sanders' "Green New Deal" is full of economic impossibilities | Should the Death Penalty stay on the table?

Good Morning Liberty

Hey everyone!   First off, please subscribe to the show by clicking this link.  Today on the show we talked about a murder trial from the '90's down in Texas that end with an execution last week. Needless to say, the prosecution brought questionable evidence, and the convicted murderer spoke of his innocence until his final words. If the government is inefficient, corrupt, and all to powerful, should we still allow the death penalty? We try to answer this difficult question on the first half of the podcast. Bernie Sanders' "Green New Deal" Presidential candidate Bernie Sanders released his plan for a $16.3 trillion spending package dubbed the "Green New Deal," blatantly stealing the name of the massive plan laid out earlier in the year by Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.  I spent several hours running through this plan line by line today, and arrived at a pretty simple conclusion: If you care about the environment, if you care about the poor, if you care about innovation, or the economic stability of the country, then you must consider the argument that the government is the worst possible entity to accomplish those goals.  Bernie's plan calls for a complete replacement of: The power grid all automobiles all school buses all shipping vehicles (semis) all gas stations and nearly all roads It also promises to create 20 million new "high-paying" jobs, and eliminate unemployment. In the elimination of unemployment, it suggests that the need for a welfare state will dissipate, since everyone will have a high paying job. Of course, that's a high-paying job paid for with tax dollars, something that will first have to be stolen from the economy.  Let me be clear. It is probably a bad thing to remove carbon from the ground, and place it into the air. Im not refuting that suggestion, but I will question the idea that we are nearing a "climate catastrophe." I'll also question the idea that this is purely man-made (can we call sexism on that term?), and that anything the United States does can have any effect on the situation. This plan seizes control of the entire energy sector, and promises to remove "greed" from the equation by leaving all power to be supplied by publicly owned companies. If Bernie has a room full of angels waiting to take the reins, I suggest he disperse them elsewhere immediately.  This comes down to one question: Who is more effective at innovation, and efficiency- private entities, or the government? I could use the example of NASA vs. SpaceX. Through 60 years of innovation, NASA was able to get the cost of sending a satellite to space down to $600 million. To ad to that fact, they were producing new rockets with each launch. In 10 years, Elon Musk and SpaceX were able to reduce the cost of sending things into space down to $60 million. A tenth of the price if you don't have your calculator handy. In addition to that, they developed a way to fly the rockets back to the launch pad to save money. That wasn't enough.. They then produced a drone ship that would become a mobile landing pad for the rockets, since due to the arch of the launch and the rotation of the earth the rocket would be re-entering over water, and boat fuel is cheaper than rocket fuel.  Think what you may about profit, but the motive for profit saves us money. Take into consideration the fact that in the Russians heyday, an automobile cost 3x as much to produce in the Soviet Union, even though profit was illegal. Remember, Henry Ford didn't invent the automobile. He simply found a way to mass produce it in a way t --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/goodmorningliberty/support

Media Outraged Over Trump's Tweets, Ignores Bernie Sanders Similar Statements. Over the past week we have been embroiled in another Donald Trump Tweet story pertaining to Elijah Cummings district in Baltimore and we know the media loves running wall to wall press about Trump's tweets.Interestingly, however, Bernie Sanders has similar tweets and statements which never caught the ire of the media and the left. Perhaps this is because Trump is much more bombastic and aggressive, but even if that were true, the media, left, and far left are now arguing about the substance of the tweet and not the character.|If Bernie and Trump both say Baltimore is bad for many reasons then why would the media ignore Bernie's presumably incorrect assessment but call out trump for being wrong? To me this shows the clear bias against the president but mostly it shows the desire for the coveted 'Trump Bump.'The media knows they get a ratings boost when they complain about the president so they take any opportunity to go after him, even if they know its a distraction from bigger issues, even if they know Trump is playing them and they are taking the bait.Support the show (http://timcast.com/donate)

My conversation this week on the City Voice Podcast is with Jeff Weaver, Bernies 2016 Presidential Campaign Manager. He is the author of "How Bernie Won Inside The Revolution That's Taking Back Our Country-And Where We Go From Here." People across the political spectrum have strong feelings about Senator and Presidential candidate Bernie Sanders. Some like to remind people that he is a Democratic Socialist and usually do so with the tagline that goes something like... we don't do socialism in America. On the other side of the political spectrum, some Democrats see Bernie Sanders as a threat to their political party and it's ability to win. The argument typically is something like this. If Bernie is in, he peels off more votes from the Democrat and we lose... Increasingly there are a lot of people who care less about a party and are more concerned about seeing a positive impact in their lives. I think Bernie's appeal, particularly to those not strongly affiliated with either party is that he seems to care more about reform and results and less about his own victory. Or that's the way people that feel that way see it. If Weaver is as dialed in on Bernie as I think he is, this City Voice Podcast interview should inform you and help you decide for yourself. I'm not here to tell you what to think. Below are bullet points on my discussion with Jeff Weaver about How Bernie Won and a lot more. Thanks in advance for listening and subscribing to the City Voice Podcast. If you haven't subscribed yet go to the right column on this site or to the bottom and click on what works for you. Turns out Jeff Weaver owns a comic book store We talk about Bernie, SNL, and Larry David How did Jeff meet Bernie and begin his personal "Summer of Bernie" 30 years and still going? I ask Jeff Weaver what he would say to people thinking about running for Town Council and School Board Liberal/Progressive... Bernie is a Democratic Socialist. What does that mean and what does it mean for Americans? What happened during the primaries with the DNC and the Hillary Campaign? Jeff talks about a contract between the DNC and the Hillary Campaign. Jeff says, the issue wasn't everybody at the DNC but Debbie Wasserman Schultz was clearly trying to sabotage our campaign. I ask Jeff if this was more a Debbie problem or a DNC problem. There was a phone call in the car between Harry Reid and Bernie while Bernie was on the way to see President Obama at the Whitehouse. Jeff tells us who they talked about. Jeff gives us his thoughts on Superdelegates and the impact they can have on people like Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, and Kamala Harris. Do Jeff and Bernie talk with (DNC Leadership) Tom Perez and Keith Ellison? What's that like and what do they talk about? Jeff tells me. Jeff explains many of the ways Bernie won as we talk about How Bernie Won. When Bernie knew the Democrat nomination was out of reach there was a meeting in a hotel between Bernie Sanders, Jane Sanders Jeff Weaver, and Hillary Clinton, John Podesta, and Robby Mook. Jeff tells me what they talked about. Jeff answers my question. Is the political energy out there more about being anti-Trump or for proposed ideas and policies? In the book Jeff says Bernie, in many ways, was completing the work FDR started. I ask Jeff to explain and whether or not Bernie is assuming the mantle of FDR. Jeff uses words from FDR's 1944 State of The Union radio address in How Bernie Won. I end this episode of the City Voice Podcast with the same portion of that SOTU Radio address as spoken by Franklin Delano Roosevelt. #BernieOrBust - If Bernie gets burned by the Democrats, is it time to “Bust”?  Can a 3rd party change the corporate tide of American politics? Hey Villains! Rate and Review the show! https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/majority-villain/id877298705?mt=2 Graham and I talk about Bernie or bust from two different angles.  Graham defends the Democratic party saying it is safer than the Republican party with Donald Trump at the helm.  I disagree saying that despite a rigged election Hillary Clinton is at least as dangerous as the alternative. I say if we can’t have Bernie then it’s time to bust out and vote Green in 2016.  Graham doesn’t like Clinton, but claims a Democrat remains a safer choice.  What do you think?  If Bernie gets robbed is it time to BUST?
