Munaf Manji and Griffin Warner talk MLB betting for Tuesday. The guys also give out best bets. The MLB Gambling Podcast's latest episode hosted by Munaf Manji and Griffin Warner delivers a detailed Tuesday betting preview based purely on pitching matchups, team trends, and recent performance statistics. Munaf and Griffin open the show with excitement following a strong 2-0 performance in their previous picks and aim to extend their hot streak. They begin by analyzing the AL Central battle between the Twins and Guardians, with a cautious lean toward the under 8 runs given Chris Paddack's improved recent starts and Tanner Bibee's historical success against the Twins. They then move to the Yankees vs Orioles matchup, noting vulnerabilities with Carlos Rodón's road performances and Kyle Gibson's questionable season debut, leading to a preference for betting the over 9.5 runs. Griffin stresses the decline of Cleveland's Emmanuel Clase as closer and the potential rise of Cade Smith. Munaf continues by previewing Cardinals vs Reds, highlighting Myles Mikolas' dreadful history against Cincinnati, pushing both hosts to recommend overs for both the first five innings and full game totals. The discussion moves to Nationals vs Phillies, where Mackenzie Gore's dominance over Philadelphia's lefty-heavy lineup is emphasized, making a strong case for a first five innings under. In Royals vs Rays, Michael Lorenzen's overachieving start and Todd Bradley's homerun struggles lead the team to back the Royals as live road underdogs. When analyzing the Red Sox vs Blue Jays game, Griffin points out the absurd 110-pitch outing by Garrett Crochet and supports the Blue Jays as a home underdog while favoring the under 7.5 total. Attention then shifts to Diamondbacks vs Mets, where Arizona's bullpen injuries cause concern and Munaf and Griffin favor the Mets at -136 along with a lean toward the game going over 8.5 runs. Freddy Peralta's inability to pitch deep into games and the uncertainty surrounding Bryce Wilson's starting role lead to a mixed, cautious view on Brewers vs White Sox betting opportunities. Reese Olson's excellent performances and Ryan Gusto's surprisingly solid outings prompt a lean toward the under 7.5 in the Tigers vs Astros matchup. In Braves vs Rockies, the duo highlights Herman Marquez's recent collapse and backs the Braves confidently on the run line, with a side of team total overs. Padres vs Giants analysis reveals preference for the Padres as slight home underdogs behind Nick Pivetta's hot streak, despite Logan Webb's steadiness. An under 7 is preferred in this pitcher's duel. The final game between Mariners and Angels leads to a discussion about Bryce Miller's control issues but favorable pitching environment in Seattle's T-Mobile Park, leading both hosts to lean toward under 8 runs. The show wraps up with brief comments about Sandy Alcantara possibly auditioning against the Dodgers for a future trade and a reminder of ERA10 promo code benefits for listeners. Griffin's best bet locks in on the Mets moneyline while Munaf targets the Yankees and Orioles game to go over 9.5 runs. Throughout the episode, Munaf and Griffin emphasize bullpen health, pitcher-specific matchup trends, weather conditions, and momentum as the critical factors influencing Tuesday's betting edges. The Royals are finally making some (small) moves! After adding Cavan Biggio earlier in the new year, they resigned Michael Lorenzen back for 2025, we highlight how he fits into this 2025 team and now the starting pitching is a strength again. Then, with Farm to Fountains releasing their top 30 prospects, we highlight a couple that we like ourselves, and Jackson has some insight for one prospect. Matt surprises Jackson with a topic, and of course, we end it with America's favorite segment: Drop the Ball!
Welcome to Episode 51 of TableSetters! Devin and Steve are back with a jam-packed MLB offseason update, offering you the latest trade rumors, blockbuster signings, and strategic moves that are shaping the 2025 season. The winter's been buzzing with activity, and we've got all the inside scoop! Pete Alonso's free-agent future is a hot topic, with Scott Boras reportedly using Prince Fielder's 9-year, $214 million deal as a benchmark for what Alonso might command. With interest from teams like the Blue Jays, the stakes are high—will Alonso get the payday he's dreaming of, or is reality setting in? Meanwhile, the Blue Jays are reportedly nearing a 4-year, $80 million agreement with outfielder Anthony Santander, addressing a critical hole in their lineup. Will this move help push Toronto closer to contention? In Los Angeles, the Dodgers have been making bold moves, signing Korean infielder Hyeseong Kim to a 3-year, $12.5 million deal with a potential extension option. But that's not all—after signing Kim, they've also sent Gavin Lux to the Reds in exchange for outfield prospect Mike Sirota and a Competitive Balance draft pick. The Dodgers are making moves to stay on top of the NL West, and we're here for it! The Oakland A's have also been busy, locking up Brent Rooker to a 5-year, $60 million extension with an option for a sixth year. With this deal, the A's are signaling a long-term commitment to their future—are they finally turning the corner after years of rebuilding? On the pitching front, the Baltimore Orioles have bolstered their rotation, bringing in veteran right-hander Charlie Morton on a one-year, $15 million contract. Is that all that they plan to do? In New York, the Yankees made a major splash by signing Max Fried, but now they're looking to trade Marcus Stroman. With the Blue Jays rumored to be the frontrunners, could a return to Toronto be in the cards for Stroman? Elsewhere, the Padres are caught in a legal battle over ownership control, as a lawsuit following Peter Seidler's passing puts the future of the franchise in question. Meanwhile, the Rangers have strengthened their bullpen with Chris Martin on a one-year deal, and the Royals have added Michael Lorenzen to their staff for one season at $7 million. And don't forget, potential trade talks involving Luis Castillo are heating up, with the Mariners and Orioles both in the mix. Where will Castillo land, and what could this mean for both teams' playoff hopes? We'll dive into all these moves and more in today's episode. Stay tuned for in-depth analysis and be sure to follow us for exclusive content on Instagram and X @TableSettersPod!

Another wild day ahead of tonight's 6 p.m. ET Trade Deadline. Big names on the move included Jorge Soler, Yusei Kikuchi, Frankie Montas, Erick Fedde & Tommy Edman. On the field, new Yankee Jazz Chisholm Jr. hit 2 HRs & Paul Skenes hit a milestone. On today's episode: Act I (0:41-5:16): THE BIG STORIES A huge day of trading began with a bang and continued with many other bangs. The Cardinals, Dodgers and White Sox swung a massive 3-team deal. Erick Fedde went to St. Louis, Tommy Edman and Michael Kopech to L.A. and a haul of prospects to Chicago. As the day progressed into night, Jorge Soler landed back in Atlanta, Yusei Kikuchi in Houston, Frankie Montas in Milwaukee, Lane Thomas in Cleveland, Michael Lorenzen in Kansas City and Justin Turner in Seattle. Jazz Chisholm Jr. was traded a few days ago. His second game with the Yankees began with his first professional assignment at third base. He not only played the hot corner flawlessly -- dare we say, Smooth Jazz? -- he went toe-to-toe with Aaron Judge at the plate. They both smacked two homers in a rout of the NL-leading Phillies, leaving the New Yorkers just a half-game out of first in the AL East. Act II (5:17-6:47): WHIPAROUND Paul Skenes became just the sixth pitcher since 1900 to reach the 100-strikeout mark in his first 13 starts. Bobby Witt Jr. continued to do Bobby Witt Jr. things. He hit a go-ahead grand slam in the eighth inning to cap a 4-hit night, then ended the game with a sensational diving play in the hole. Elsewhere, the Mets hung 15 on the Twins, one more than the Red Sox did against the Mariners. Zach Eflin shined in his first start for the Orioles in the first game of two with the Blue Jays. Vlad Guerrero Jr. -- still with Toronto -- led the way in the nightcap. Act III (6:48-7:40): LOOKING AHEAD What's happening today? What else? Probably more trades. MLB Network begins coverage at 9 a.m. ET and will continue all day past the 6 p.m. Trade Deadline. But that's not all. You can see the Dodgers and Padres from San Diego at 9:40 p.m. ET on MLB.TV.
