So this is the LONGEST podcast I've ever recorded, and it's all in service of Cobra Convergence! Watch me relive my "artistic" origins and recreate a classic cover, like I used to do when I was 14 years old! You'll have to watch to see which cover made the grade! View on my YouTube channel! The Movies and a Meal Podcast always makes the grade! They've been supporting this show for over 5 years and I appreciate them so much! Give them a listen and a shoutout! Also big shoutout to HCC788 for organizing Cobra Convergence all this time, and a hearty thank you. Hope this is a worthy sendoff!

We like to think André often connects in some way with all his guest but this chat certainly was one that came easy to our host!J.K. Woodward started illustrating comics in 2003 and has worked on many titles including CSI NY, G.I. Joe Cobra, Star Trek Next Generation, BOOM! Studios Eureka, POE and Zombie Tales. When Peter David was re-launching his creator owned series Fallen Angel at IDW, J.K. was a natural choice for Peter's dark world of magic, violence and redemption. In 2008 his painted work caught the attention of Marvel who chose him to illustrate X-men Origins: The Beast, but his most recent work on Star Trek/Doctor Who: Assimilation brought his art to the masses.André and J.K discuss the extra work required to paint a comic, the revival of unique album covers in Germany and how J.K was able to give Brent Spiner's trainer something Mr. Spiner never could!Support the show
The holidays still have everyone's schedules out of whack, so this week we're digging in our big red sack and pulling out a Patreon special from December 2019: It's the holiday season, and our Canadian host Rob realizes he had a lot of misconceptions about the US military as we go back to the 80s for a special Christmas episode of G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero! Under cover of a charity toy drive, Cobra uses a shrink ray to infiltrate the Joe base and steal their vehicles, hoping to pin their ensuing attack on the Joes! Can the handful of Joes still on base for the holidays stop them? Why does Jack Nicholson have a parrot? Were all computer mainframes in the 80s orange? Join us this month for "Santa C.L.A.W.S Are Coming To Town", and thank you so much for your support! Yo Joe!

Its Cobra Convergence 7! And Mark and Tim were interviewed by HCC788 AKA Bryan Stephen. It's a non numbered episode as we are just doing a bit of self-indulgent navel gazing talking about ourselves and the podcast. This week we are entering the world of G.I. Joe + Cobra with what is perhaps the best G.I. Joe film ever made (which isn't saying much), Snake Eyes. It's not a great film, or even a good film for that matter, but it made for an incredible conversation so whether you've seen it or not, we think it's still worth listening to. When you’re the wasteland’s most feared and powerful warlord, your appetites tend to be vast - and cartoon consumption is no exception. With the animated portion of the Krypto-Cast complete (...for now), the quest to satiate Immortan Hoof’s thirst for fresh cartoons continues. But rather than focus on one series like we did with Superman, I decided why not offer the Ruler of the Wasteland a wider selection of content? After all, the Kids section in Apocalypse Video is enormous, and who wants to get stuck watching a subpar cartoon series? I’m your host, David Snider, and joining me as we witness the birth of a toy empire is the Ruler of the Wasteland and patron of the animated arts, Immortan Hoof. Listen as we discuss how G.I. Joe has more action in its opening credits than most other shows have in entire episodes; we wonder how Cobra ever manages to pull off their overly elaborate plans when their entire force is composed of idiots; and finally, we come up with our own spinoff: G.I. Joe - Collateral Damage. Be sure to rate, review and subscribe wherever you get your podcasts. Random Podcast Generator: Season 3, Episode 28This week's episode is concentrated on #NetNeutrality. It's an incredibly important issue for content creators, which is why BlossomingSun wanted to cover it on the podcast with two of the tech-savviest people she knows, Joe Cobra and GeneArcher. Together, the three of them break down what exactly is Net Neutrality and why it is so important. The voting for a Net Neutrality repeal takes place the day after this podcast comes out, so be sure to send in a comment to the FCC if you haven't already after listening to this.We hope you enjoy listening to this very important podcast episode!
Random Podcast Generator: Season 3, Episode 14Another 2 guest podcast, this week BlossomingSun and Nannercat have Ekuc and CrystalPistal with them for an episode that is the literal definition of winging it. They discuss wedding decor, how BlossomingSun always tries to make things about herself, Ekuc's deep fears, Ron's great love of Joe Cobra, and things that make him uncomfortable. Be prepared for a lot of laughter and a few emu noises.Enjoy!
Snakes. Why did it have to be snakes? G.I. JOE: COBRA STRIKE, the 1983 Parker Brothers Atari game, is here to slither its way into your ear holes. The game finds the evil COBRA organization targeting new Joe recruits with a HUGE laser-shooting and venom dripping snake. As one does. In the game, you are manning the guns to defend the Joes. All of this smacks of bad military strategy to me. Does the plot hold up? We put our forked tongue all over this one to find out. In Episode 78, Graeme McMillan and Jeff Lester have any number of topics so hot they can only be handled with your ears--topics like what Savage Critic rating we would give The Bible, spinoff books that can never seem to escape their progenitors, a squalid confession of drug use and Dr. Who abuse from Jeff, Action Comics, The Legion of Superheroes, Birds of Prey, Fairest, the first issues of Saucer Country, Hell Yeah, Manhattan Projects (with spoilers for the first issue), Superbia, Fatale #3, Fantastic Four: Season One, the amazing King City TPB from Brandon Graham, Detective Comics, G.I. Joe: Cobra, Wolverine #302, DC Nation on Cartoon Network, and much, much more. (And for those of you who might be concerned, Jeff re-watched the Dr. Who season finale and officially found it keen, although he still prefers the Vincent Van Gough episode.) As always, we hope you enjoy and thanks for listening!

January 24, 2010 - G.I. Joe: Cobra II is the follow up to the fantastic 2009 G.I. Joe: Cobra mini series, one of three titles IDW Publishing offered in their relaunch of the Joe franchise. Writers Christos Gage and Mike Costa teamed with artist Antonio Fuso to create a dark and intense espionage thriller that redefined the way we look at many of the lesser used Joe and Cobra characters. Now the entire creative team is back for more with this week's release of G.I. Joe: Cobra II. Chris Neseman jumps into The Pit with writers Christos Gage and Mike Costa for a quick look at what fans of the G.I.Joe franchise have to look forward to in the continuing adventures of Chuckles. - Gage and Costa talk about how their relationship as co-writers came about and how IDW and Hasbro have been open to just about every crazy idea they've come up with. - Both writers talk about the thrill of contributing to the Joe franchise and working with Chuck Dixon and the "Stan Lee" of G.I. Joe, Larry Hama. So take a listen to hear that as well as all the reasons you don't want to miss G.I. Joe: Cobra II #1 in comic book stores this week!
October 4, 2009 - Ron is gallivanting about the Europe, or Ohio, or somewhere.
