Hi, I'm Mandy! I met my first love in elementary school. I remember it like it was yesterday! I was in first grade back then. One day, I forgot my lunch box at home and was sitting all by my lonesome. A cute boy called Jimmy sat down next to me and shared his sandwich with me. It was love at first sight. Or, well, it was an innocent crush. Jimmy and I held hands, cut hearts out of colored paper, and brought candies to school for each other.

Vad får en relativt oerfaren ultralöpare att ställa sig på startlinjen till TEC 200 miles? Vi träffar multisportaren Anders Brohäll och tillsammans nördar han och Ellen ner sig i de riktigt långa distanserna, träning och mentala förberedelser, och inte minst förväntningar och farhågor inför TEC 200 i april. Vad kommer vara avgörande för att gå i mål? Anders Brohäll har tränat multisport ett par år men är egentligen rätt så ny inom ultra. Han har sprungit två ultralopp, Blåfrusen och TEC 100 miles. Och nu till 2018 har han bestämt sig för att dubbla distansen och ställa upp i TEC 200 miles som alltså motsvarar 32 mil.  Hur kommer det sig att man frivilligt gör något så stolligt som att anmäla sig till 200 miles? De flesta normala människor skulle istället välja att putsa tiden på 100 miles, försöka springa under 20 timmar och få ett guldspänne. Men det här tycker Anders är helt ointressant. Det är något annat som lockar honom och vi vill ta reda på vad. Ellen har också anmält sig till 200 miles och därför är hon väldigt nyfiken på att höra hur Anders tänker kring träning, målsättningar, plan under loppet och helt enkelt bara vilka drivkrafter som får honom att fortsätta framåt. I det här samtalet får du höra Anders och Ellen nörda ner sig i riktigt långa distanser, sömnbrist, hur man får kroppen att hålla och vad man kan göra innan loppet för att minimera påverkan av de mentala dippar som med största sannolikhet kommer komma någon gång under två dygn i Täby-skogen.  Lyssna! It was part of the Brighton Digital Festival and funded by Arts Council England. The episode we put on was the finale of Book 2 which ties up most of the plotlines of the last year. The Adventure Team is reunited on the lawn of the White Roost and the King's plan to conquer the United States of America comes to a head. Music by Nicolai Roos, John Bartmann and Mano Camatsos.
