We know we swore off Sorbo (we Sworbo'd off Sorbo) but we just had to get this last one out of our system. Becaues the writers of Hercules the Legendary Journeys have lost control of their show, so they go on a writers retreat to come up with some new material. Will the real Hercules (in disguise as noted antisemite Kevin Sorbo) be able to save the show? Or will the network just funnel all of their resources into Xena Warrior Princess? Kevin Sorbo has enjoyed success on television for over twenty consecutive years, a feat rarely accomplished by an actor. Sorbo quickly rose to stardom in the title role of the hit series, Hercules, the Legendary Journeys. The immense popularity of the five initial 2-hour telefilms in 1993 resulted in the launch of a weekly series by 1994. The series not only became a breakout hit by becoming the number one first-run program in syndication, it also passed Baywatch as the most watched TV show in the world. Now the "God's Not Dead" and "Hercules" actor Kevin Sorbo is urging churches of all sizes to back faith-based and God-glorifying films, especially in a culture that has an “ever-increasing anger” toward Christians. “I get stopped, and 80% of the time people say, ‘Please make more movies like ['God's Not Dead'],'” Sorbo revealed in an interview on Abby Johnson's hit podcast, "Politely Rude." “It's amazing — pastors will stop me and say, ‘You can reach so many people. I'm a pastor of a small church.' And I go, ‘I don't care how small your church is. We need your support.'”

We swear, this should be the last time that we talk about the Sorbos for a bit. Even if this is book that Sam Sorbo published about their dog, Gizmoe. This book is from 1996 and while unfortunately dear Gizmoe is no longer with us, we chat a little bit about his legacy and his documented adventures in New Zealand. Stay tuned for an enthralling bonus discussion about Boy Meets World! Who Let the Dogs Out cover at the end of the episode: https://youtu.be/Lj2H7LbAxLI
Flat-earthers beware: Ryan Gosling has entered the chat. Chris and Ally have finally watched some Young Hercules. It had child star turned A-list celeb Ryan Gosling in the titular role, and was the first Renaissance Pictures action pack show that was made both for AND about kids. How does this show compare to the Legendary Journeys, which will no longer be watched or discussed on this podcast? Find out in this episode! We watched the first three episodes of Young Hercules! Two friends discuss Season 4 Episode 20 of a popular television show. Matt and Rico talk about Threedom, jalapeño and pumpkin beers, and finally Hercules: the Legendary Journeys. Wowsers! Well, we are nuttier than a jar full of crunchy peanut butter today kids! Quick; write in and tell us what mildly popular TV show from the mid-90's the opening monologue from today's episode is from and you'll win the second Nonsense Burger t-shirt from our first batch of goodies! Make sense? Good. It never should. Today Michael and Francis dive into some of the things we as kids thought made you wealthy. The title of the episode should hand you some clues. We spiral out of control to bring you only the finest nonsensical material we can muster. Swing on through and have a giggle with us! After that, hustle up and subscribe to the show via Spotify, iTunes, Stitcher, and many more. You're all darling. Tootles!
"Within us all there are two Kevin Sorbos. It's terrible." While Xena was dealing with Hope, Hercules was dealing with Dahak. Chris and Ally promised they would never go back to the dark place that is Hercules the Legendary Journeys, but unfortunately, if they want to fully wrap up the Dahak arc, they're going to have to break that promise. Please forgive these humble, mohawked podcasters. Chris and Ally have a coincidence, Iaolus learns about the trolley problem, Bruce Campbell shows off how well-versed he is at horror, and Ally displays her uncanny ability to recognize any minor actor from Attack of the Clones. He went on to act, produce, and direct in several other productions. His upcoming movie is The Reliant. World Fit is the number on after school program in the state of California. Sorbo resides in Los Angeles with his wife, Sam and three children. The Reliant Movie Synopsis When crisis strikes and their world crumbles, is God reliable to meet their needs or must their faith remain blind to facts? After an innocent trip to the store ends in rioting and chaos, father of five, Rick (Kevin Sorbo) rushes home desperate to gather his family and find safety. His plans are dashed when the very same armed men suddenly appear, led by the ruthless Jack (Brian Bosworth). Caught in the deadly crossfire, the children are forced to seek shelter in the surrounding woods. Alone and vulnerable, the children’s faith and family bonds are pushed to the limit, especially those of the eldest daughter, Sophie (Mollee Gray), who questions the morality of gun ownership but soon learns that in God all things are good, including her family’s Second Amendment right to defend themselves. It is now up to the children to reclaim their home, find their parents and put an end to Jack’s rampage. At the heart of THE RELIANT is a love story. It’s an anthem of hope in the hardest of times, of forgiveness, and of redemption. Also featuring the celebrated Benham Brothers. Connect with Kevin:

Chuck and Mark are Joined by Kevin Sorbo for a great conversation on the politics in Hollywood. They start off by discussing Hollywood's hatred for conservatives and Christians, which Kevin explains is the reason that he has gone into independent filmmaking. Chuck and Kevin have both experienced Hollywood's decision to cut shows for no reason, other than one person doesn't like it. They explain how a select few individuals decide what the rest of the world will watch. Mark moves their conversation on to Kevin's film, God's not Dead, which landed in the top five dollar return for Hollywood films. Kevin explains that he could not get on any network, except Fox, to promote his faith-based film. Kevin explains the importance of small independent films and faith-based films. He shares how he has created his own production company and been able to get funding from people like Sean Hannity. They finish up their conversation by discussing how the progressive movement is destroying our country and that the truth is dangerous to their agenda. They discuss how the left is dividing our nation into groups and pitting them against each other. Kevin also jumps in to shares some of his thoughts about the far-left agenda that is appearing around our country. Well, the holiday season is upon is, so Chris and Ally have decided to watch and discuss the only Christmas-y episode there is of Hercules the Legendary Journeys. The episode is called 'A Star to Guide Them,' and honestly? It sucks. But Chris explains some more to Ally about the story of Christmas ("Listen... there's a lot of baby roundups going on."), geography is considered, styrofoam props are reused, and honestly... what is the deal with those three guys who GOTTA GO NORTH? It's probably the most passive Hercules has ever been, and the struggle is real. Happy Hanukkah, Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year!!! And remember - Kevin Sorbo is still an ignorant antisemite! Born in Winston-Salem NC, Burgess studied Psychology through graduate school which he says “opened up a world of possibilities in his characters”. It was during this time he signed with a local talent agency and a passion for acting was born. Though he found some early success, a turning point for Burgess was enrolling in the famed Playhouse West in Los Angeles where he studied for 4 years under Bob Carnegie and Oscar nominee Jeff Goldblum. Armed with a love for “Method” acting, he quickly began landing small roles and supporting parts, but in the summer of 2000 Burgess landed the coveted role of Ray Budds in the Blockbuster Remember The Titans opposite two time Academy award winner Denzel Washington. Currently Burgess is recurring on ABC's smash hit Nashville. His latest movie Hero, is a direct to video film that releases in Walmart soon. Currently Burgess is recurring on ABC’s smash hit Nashville. His latest movie Hero, is a direct to video film that releases in Walmart soon. Kevin has most recently appeared in the blockbuster God’s not Dead and Let the Lion Roar.
