When life feels overwhelmed by evil, violence, or the brokenness of the human heart, many people quietly wonder the same questions: Why does the world feel so messed up? Can people really change? Is there any hope that things will ever be made right? In this message, we look at the story of Noah in Genesis 6 and discover that the flood was not just an ancient disaster story. It exposes the deeper problem inside every human heart and points to God's surprising rescue plan. While the ark saved Noah's family from the storm, it also foreshadows a greater rescue God would provide through Jesus. If you have ever wished you could freeze a perfect moment, escape the chaos around you, or find a way to be truly changed from the inside out, this conversation explores why the world needs a better Ark and how the hope of the gospel promises both transformation now and a future where evil and sorrow are finally gone.DISCUSSION QUESTIONS:1. What's one moment of your life you'd love to freeze and stay in?2. What do you learn about God's character from the verses we covered today?3. How are you tempted to change things externally instead of focusing on the changes God wants to bring internally?4. How does Jesus being our “True & Better Ark” give you hope for daily life as well as for eternity? (New Hearts + New Heavens/New Earth)5. Why does someone else's blessing feel like your loss?In this message, we step into Book of Genesis 4 and the story of Cain and Abel to uncover the roots of envy, resentment, and spiritual hypocrisy. Like the rivalry portrayed in Amadeus, we see how comparison can quietly harden into anger...and even accusation against God: “You haven't given me what I deserve.”But this story isn't just a warning. It's an invitation. The blood of Abel cried out for justice. Jesus' blood cries out for forgiveness. When we realize we haven't received what we deserve...but mercy instead...we're finally freed from envy and rage.If you've wrestled with comparison, bitterness, or disappointment with God, this message is for you.DISCUSSION QUESTIONS:1. What do you learn about God's character from Genesis 4?2. Where are you tempted to approach God like Cain instead of Abel?3. What “crouching” sin has God already warned you about? What is at your door right now? How does seeing Jesus as “The Greater Adam” shape the way you understand yourself? (Rom 5:6-21)4. If you've ever wondered why life feels beautiful and broken at the same time…this message is for you.Starting in Gospel of Luke 24 and walking all the way back to Genesis, we trace the story Jesus says we often miss: the whole Bible is about Him. Not moral heroes to copy. Not disconnected stories. But one unfolding rescue...from a good God, in a good world, shattered by a terrible lie…and pursued by relentless grace. Why do we hide? Why do we blame? Why do we try to fix ourselves with success, religion, or control, only to feel more exhausted? Because, like Adam and Eve, we've believed something about God that isn't true. And that lie still shapes our fear, shame, and striving today. But the story doesn't end in the garden. In the middle of our rebellion, God comes looking: “Where are you?”He provides a covering. He makes a promise. And He sends a Child who would be wounded—but would ultimately crush the serpent. This isn't abstract theology. It's hope for hospital rooms. Hope for grief. Hope for anxiety. Hope for the moments when you're walking through disappointment and wondering where God is.If you're tired of trying to be your own savior…If suffering has made you question whether God is really good…If you long for home, wholeness, and peace…Come see how the Gospel didn't begin in Matthew. It began in a garden and it changes how you walk through yours today.DISCUSSION QUESTIONS:1. What do you learn about God's character from Genesis 1-3?2. What subtle lie about God is easiest for you to believe? Especially in times of stress, suffering, or disappointment?3. Adam and Eve try to cover their shame with fig leaves. Do you ever wear a mask to protect yourself or hide the broken parts of you? What is that mask or “fig leaf?”4. How does seeing Jesus as “The Greater Adam” shape the way you understand yourself? Today we wrestle honestly with healing...our hope, our doubts, and our pain. Scripture shows us that God is a healer by nature, that Jesus healed all who came to Him, and that His compassion hasn't ended with the resurrection. While healing remains a mystery and doesn't always happen when or how we want, we are still called to pray in faith and not give up. We don't place our hope in formulas or mindsets, but in the faithful heart of God. Whether healing comes now, later, or ultimately in resurrection, we trust Jesus, obey His call to pray, and continue to seek His Kingdom on earth as it is in heaven.FOR GROUP DISCUSSION & REFLECTION:What does this passage reveal about Jesus' heart toward suffering people?Have you ever witnessed a supernatural physical healing? Where do you personally drift more—toward quitting on healing (mindset) or trying to control it through your efforts (methods)? How do you believe we should respond when healing doesn't happen immediately? What would it look like for you to pray for people more often? When life feels fragile and the future is uncertain, where can you find something solid? This message begins in the tension of real suffering and leads us to Jesus' invitation to build our lives on an unshakable foundation. Centered on Jesus as the Good Shepherd, it explores why His voice, heard through Scripture, is trustworthy, clear, and lovingly challenging. Rather than offering opinions or quick fixes, this message calls listeners to honest surrender, deeper trust, and a faith that can withstand life's storms. In a noisy, confusing world, Jesus still speaks, and His words lead to true life.1. When life feels uncertain or painful, where do you usually look for guidance or comfort? How does that compare to where Jesus looked?2. What sin/belief/activity, etc. in your life might be causing “static on the line” that might be keeping you from hearing God clearly? (John 10)3. When was a time God spoke to you directly through your time in the Bible? What change did you experience from that?4. The sermon says: “We want clarity until it costs us something. Jesus calls His followers to increasing surrender. What's the difference between asking Jesus “What can I keep?” versus “What do You want me to give up?” Do you sense Jesus inviting you to surrender anything in your life right now?5. Ever wonder who to trust when everyone claims a “new truth”? From the first lie in Eden...“Did God really say?”...to modern spiritual confusion, the strategy hasn't changed: doubt God's Word, redefine Jesus, and make yourself the authority. In this message, we explore why Jesus believed the Scriptures are unbreakable and enough, and why building your life on anything else leads to confusion, shame, and instability. California agriculture continues to evolve as growers adapt to water shortages, rising labor costs, and global competition. On the latest AgNet News Hour, Fresno County Viticulture Advisor George Zhuang shared insights on the grape and raisin industry, highlighting innovation, collaboration, and the future of raisin production. Raisin Industry Innovation and Sustainability Zhuang emphasized the importance of staying competitive in the global market. With California no longer the undisputed leader in raisin production, new varieties like Sunpreme, combined with mechanized pruning and trellis systems, are paving the way for more efficient, sustainable production. These innovations could allow for near-complete mechanization, reducing labor reliance while maintaining quality. Zhuang also stressed the need to preserve traditional varieties like Thompson raisins while embracing technological advances to ensure the industry's future. Upcoming Events: Grape Symposium & World Ag Expo Growers and industry professionals are invited to the San Joaquin Valley Grape Symposium on January 7th at UC Kearney in Parlier, California. The full-day event features morning classroom presentations on raisin varieties, rootstocks, pest management, and afternoon field demonstrations of mechanical pruning techniques. Zhuang encouraged all interested in grapes, from PCA advisors to growers, to attend and network with experts and industry veterans. The podcast also highlighted the World Ag Expo in Tulare (February 10–12), featuring cutting-edge automation, educational seminars, and 2.6 million square feet of exhibit space. These events provide opportunities for growers to stay informed on the latest technologies, best practices, and market trends. Advocacy, Policy, and Consumer Awareness The show addressed broader agricultural challenges, including water shortages in the Westland's Water District, labor pressures from rising minimum wages, and global competition in raisin production. Listeners were reminded of the importance of advocating for California-grown products and supporting U.S. agriculture. Mental health resources for farmers, promoted by the American Farm Bureau Federation, were also discussed, highlighting the human side of farming. Conclusion With innovation, education, and community support, California's grape and raisin industries are positioning themselves for a sustainable future. Tune into the AgNet News Hour to hear the full discussion with George Zhuang and stay connected to critical updates, events, and resources shaping the state's agriculture.
Conflict is unavoidable. But how we handle it can either deepen pain or put the gospel on display. Drawing from Colossians 3, Jesus' prayer for unity in John 17, and practical wisdom for hard conversations, this message explores why we tend to either avoid or attack in relationships, and why Jesus calls us to a better way. Have you ever looked at your life and thought, “I don't have the tools to fix this”? The harder you try...self-help, success, therapy, politics, better habits...the more stuck you feel. Anxiety grows. Anger leaks out. Old patterns won't loosen. You're not just tired…you're lost. This Advent message goes straight to that quiet, aching longing we all carry: the need for real rescue. Not advice. Not motivation. Not another strategy, but help from Someone stronger than us.Through the Christmas story in Luke 2, we're reminded that Jesus didn't come as a life coach or moral example. He came as a Savior. For the helpless. For the wandering. For those who've tried to save themselves and found it only made things worse. If you've ever felt alone, overwhelmed, or afraid that you're doing irreparable damage to your life, this message is for you. Christmas declares this good news: you don't have to fix yourself. A Shepherd has come. A Rescuer has been born.DISCUSSION QUESTIONS:When in your own life have you felt like you were “stripping the bolts”—trying harder and harder to fix something in yourself, only to feel more stuck? When you hear Scripture describe humanity as “lost” or “helpless” (Isa. 53:6, Jer. 50:6, Luke 19:10), what feelings rise in you—resistance, relief, confusion? Why?Of the four “secular rescue stories” we reviewed (self-help, consumerism, therapy-as-savior, ideology), which one are you most tempted to trust apart from God? What if we stopped trying to be dementia "experts" and started being dementia enthusiasts instead? In this episode of Foresight Radio, host Rachel Hill sits down with Zach Parlier, administrator and self-described dementia enthusiast at English Rose in Edina, Minnesota. English Rose operates small, residential homes with just six residents and a 1:3 staffing ratio, built around relationship-based dementia care and genuine normalcy — not just private suites and long hallways. Zach shares how caring for his grandfather with Alzheimer's in his family's farmhouse from the age of 12 shaped his view of what home and good care really mean. He walks us through English Rose's five-dimension well-being model (purposeful, social, spiritual, cognitive, and physical) and explains why "behaviors" are not a symptom of dementia but usually a form of communication we're missing. We also explore: Why he rejects the title "dementia expert" and embraces curiosity instead How a 1:3 ratio changes everything — especially the quality of relationships Why large, beautiful suites can unintentionally fuel isolation How the famous "Nun Study" influences English Rose's approach to daily life and engagement Why dementia must be seen as a human condition as much as a medical condition Whether you're a leader, clinician, caregiver, or family member, this episode will challenge how you think about dementia, "behaviors," and what it means to protect someone's sense of self all the way to the end of life.
If you've ever felt restless, homesick, or like something in life is just… missing—you're not alone. This Advent message explores the deep ache we all carry for a place where everything is finally right. From the groaning of creation in Romans 8 to the story that began in Eden and culminates in Jesus' arrival, we discover why our longings are real, where they come from, and why they point us home. In a world that feels weary and out-of-place, Advent reminds us that Home has come for us—and Home is coming again. If you're tired, searching, or hoping for more, this episode invites you to the One who can finally satisfy the longing in your soul.DISCUSSION QUESTIONS:1. Where do you most feel the “longing for home” in your own life right now? (i.e. where do yousense restlessness, incompleteness, or longing — even if things around you look “fine”?)2. How does understanding that our original home with God was lost (Genesis 3) help you makesense of the deep longings and frustrations you feel today?3. In what ways has Jesus in His first coming (Advent) already begun restoring a sense of“home” in your life? Where have you tasted that “foretaste of glory” Paul talks about in Romans8:23?4. How does the promise of our future home with God (Revelation 21; Romans 8; John 14)reframe the way you view your temporary pains and/or unmet desires in the present?5. Are we living in the end times? With global unrest, personal hardship, and constant uncertainty, it's easy to feel anxious or overwhelmed. But what if Jesus' words about “the end” aren't meant to stir fear, but to give us courage and clarity? In this episode, we look at Jesus' prophetic words in Mark 13, not as a cryptic code to crack, but as a Good Shepherd preparing His people for hard days ahead. As He warned His disciples about the fall of the Temple and the trials they would face, Jesus also gave them, and us, two clear instructions: Don't worry. Don't grow weary. This message meets us in our fear, frustration, and fatigue...and offers something better: trust in a King who sees all, knows all, and holds the future. He hasn't promised ease, but He has promised His presence, His power, and a purpose in the middle of the chaos. If you're feeling shaken by the world around you, this sermon is for you.

Custom Produce in Parlier, California, has grown from a door-to-door startup into one of the most respected names in the produce supply chain, and founder Ted Torosian says the company's success comes from staying true to its roots while adapting to an evolving industry. Founded in 1989 by Torosian, his brother, and partners, Custom Produce began with a simple mission: offer a variety of high-quality fruits and vegetables in one stop for food service buyers. “We started from scratch, knocking on doors, selling fruit,” Torosian said. “Now we're one of the most successful companies in the Central Valley.” Today, the company operates on a 15-acre facility, handling over 80 commodities and specializing in consolidation — allowing customers to pick up a mix of products in a single load. This model is especially valuable for restaurants, small markets, and wholesale buyers who don't need full truckloads of a single commodity. “We can put two pallets of this, one pallet of that, all on one truck,” Torosian explained. “It's food service at its best.” Custom Produce's reach extends far beyond the Central Valley. While most sourcing comes from Central California growers, they also work with partners in Mexico, Chile, and Arizona to ensure year-round supply. Their offerings range from tree fruit and melons to peppers and grapes — though they leave leafy greens to other regions. Freight and packaging are major parts of the business. By brokering transportation and breaking pallets to meet exact customer needs, Custom Produce streamlines distribution and cuts costs for buyers. Torosian noted that packaging costs have soared, making careful handling and proper cooling critical for maintaining product quality across long distances. “Our specialty is making sure that when it gets there, it's still in great condition,” he said. While the company serves big names like Costco, their core focus remains on the “small guys” who need flexible, dependable service. “It's about relationships,” Torosian said. “We've built trust with our growers and our customers over decades.” From a handful of partners with a big idea to a major player in the produce industry, Custom Produce shows how vision, adaptability, and old-fashioned hard work can pay off in agriculture's competitive marketplace.
Why is it so hard to admit when we're wrong? In this message from Mark 11–12, we explore Jesus' confrontation with religious leaders who refused to repent, despite every warning, story, and sign pointing them back to God. Like Ebenezer Scrooge, we all face a choice: ignore the truth or humbly confess, “I was wrong.” But confession isn't weakness. Rather, it's the first step to freedom, healing, and life built on the true Cornerstone. This message challenges us to find the courage to:1. Lose the approval of others,2. Trust God with our lives,3. Own our failures. When we do, we discover that grace meets us right where we are.
Welcome to Generation! ⛪︎In this powerful message from Mark 10, we meet Bartimaeus, the blind beggar who truly sees. Don't miss this invitation to reflect, respond, and follow the King who still asks, “What do you want me to do for you?”
Welcome to Generation! ⛪︎What does it truly mean to be great? In a culture that idolizes fame, power, and personal achievement, Jesus offers a radically different definition: “Whoever wants to be great must be your servant.” In this message, we explore Mark 10 and Jesus' call to humility, unpacking the confusion surrounding greatness and how pride often cheats us of what God has for us. Through the disciples' misunderstanding, the example of Christ, and real-life reflections, we confront our own ambition and discover the freeing, powerful path of humble service. Greatness isn't out of reach, it's found in giving ourselves away. Let's pursue true greatness together.
Welcome to Generation! ⛪︎What does it really cost to follow Jesus? In Mark 10, a wealthy young man asks one of life's most important questions: “What must I do to inherit eternal life?” Jesus' answer cuts deeper than commandments. He reveals the condition of the heart. In this message, we explore what it means to trust fully, to confess humbly, and to believe, despite the cost, that following Jesus will be worth it. Whether you've built your life around success, security, or stuff… this passage invites us to surrender what we cling to, so we can receive what truly lasts.
Welcome to Generation! ⛪︎Hell. It's one of the most uncomfortable, often rejected teachings in the Bible, yet Jesus spoke of it more than anyone else. Why? This message confronts the hard truths found in Jesus' words about judgment, warning, and the eternal consequences of a life lived apart from God. But it does so with an unexpected twist: showing how even the doctrine of hell can lead us to deeper self-awareness, peace, and a clearer picture of God's love.Through the story of the rich man and Lazarus, we explore three counterintuitive truths:Hell helps us understand where we find our identityHell helps us live at peace in a broken worldHell helps us know the radical, sacrificial love of JesusThis is not a message of fear, but of rescue, a sobering yet hope-filled invitation to find your life, your peace, and your future in the only One who faced the fire so you would never have to.
Welcome to Generation! ⛪︎In this powerful message, the focus shifts from fear-based interpretations of judgment to Jesus' deeper call: to live a salty life. Drawing from Mark 9, we see Jesus correct His disciples' pride and division, urging them—and us—to embody the preserving, enhancing, peace-making qualities of salt. Being “salty” means living humbly, encouraging others, offering everyday acts of love, and taking sin seriously, not out of shame, but in light of our gospel identity. Ultimately, we're reminded that Jesus, the true Salt of the Earth, took on the judgment we deserved so that we could live empowered lives of influence, unity, and grace.
Welcome to Generation! ⛪︎Have you ever felt like you're not enough—unwanted, stuck, or too broken to be loved? You are loved. You are His.
On the mountaintop, Jesus is transfigured before His disciples, and God the Father interrupts their confusion with a clear command: “This is my beloved Son… listen to Him.” In a world full of competing voices, this moment cuts through the noise and reminds us: Jesus alone is the One we must trust and follow. Whether in parenting, friendships, or faith, we often ignore wise counsel, especially from God Himself. But His words are not burdens; they are life. Don't miss the invitation to know and follow the voice of the Good Shepherd.

It's time to stop searching for life hacks and instead focus on the only true formula for life: Jesus himself. We are reminded that true transformation comes not from outward changes or rituals, but from the grace-filled encounter with Christ who invites us, despite our unworthiness, to take our place at His table. Welcome to Generation Church! What do we do with 2000 year old parables of Jesus talking about seeds, and lamps, and old testament references about the prophet Isaiah? Glad you asked! This Sunday we look at how Jesus used these parables (stories) to prepare His team for the journey ahead. It's hard to understand at times how God is working and moving in the world. But Jesus gives us insights by telling us these parables. I have found these uniquely encouraging and accurate as I seek to invest in other people's lives spiritually and I hope you will too! Often... the impact we're having is significantly bigger than we could ever imagine. Can't wait to worship and dive into God's word together with you this Sunday! + + + + +Hey, while you're here, please help Generation by clicking the 'Subscribe' button, then click on the BELL (on mobile devices, also click 'ALL'). Welcome to Generation Church! This Sunday we look at the day Jesus healed a man with a deformed hand on the Sabbath. It's one of those moments in scripture that are both amazing and depressing. The amazing part is we see Jesus restore a life. The depressing part is the response of some of the crowd. Their response reveals that there was a deeper deformation that day than just the man's hand. How does Jesus respond to such critical and resentful people? His reaction might surprise you. Come this Sunday as we dive into these scriptures and uncover Jesus' heart of restoration, it's gonna be a GREAT day together!+ + + + +Hey, while you're here, please help Generation by clicking the 'Subscribe' button, then click on the BELL (on mobile devices, also click 'ALL'). Welcome to Generation Church! In talking with friends and acquaintances who don't know or follow Jesus, I always find it fascinating to hear what barriers keep them from believing the Gospel. I also find myself compelled to help one of those barriers be removed! It's heartbreaking to hear about barriers to faith in Jesus. In this chunk of scripture we are presented with two large barriers to faith. One is the barrier of comprehension, the other is the barrier of scripture. You might ask, how are comprehension (understanding) and scriptures barriers to faith? Well that's exactly what Jesus teaches us in the verses we're going to study! I hope you join us and experience breakthroughs with any barriers you have. I also hope this is an equipping time to help you be an agent of grace in the lives of others! Grace & Peace to you today church family!+ + + + +Hey, while you're here, please help Generation by clicking the 'Subscribe' button, then click on the BELL (on mobile devices, also click 'ALL').
