Welcome to Generation! ⛪︎Have you ever felt like you're not enough—unwanted, stuck, or too broken to be loved? In this powerful message from Romans 10:5–13, Tim Parlier shares his raw story of performance, failure, and finally discovering the life-changing grace of Jesus. The gospel isn't about trying harder—it's about receiving the love and forgiveness you could never earn.“Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” (Romans 10:13)If you're tired of performing, come hear the truth: You are wanted. You are loved. You are His.
Welcome to Generation! ⛪︎Our world is obsessed with greatness...who's the best, the most admired, the ultimate GOAT (Greatest of All Time). But in Mark 9, Jesus flips the script. As His disciples argue about status, Jesus redefines greatness not as climbing higher, but as stepping lower: becoming the servant of all, welcoming the overlooked, and embracing inconvenience as a pathway to love.In this powerful and timely message, we're invited to detox from our culture's obsession with status and rediscover a greatness rooted in humility, service, and the freedom that comes from knowing who we are in Christ. If you're tired of the pressure to prove yourself, this sermon offers a freeing alternative: let Jesus be your greatness, so you can be free to love.
This week, we're diving into Judges 6:36–40 and the story of Gideon's fleece. What does it look like to trust God rather than grasp for control? When life feels uncertain, it's easy to rely on signs, strategies, and our own understanding—but God invites us into something better. Come explore how Gideon's journey can help us move from fear to faith, and learn what it means to live free by trusting the One who holds it all.Guest Teacher: Frank Sung+ + + + +Hey, while you're here, please help Generation by clicking the 'Subscribe' button, then click on the BELL (on mobile devices, also click 'ALL'). Welcome to Generation! ⛪︎Desperation is something we all face...from everyday stress to deep heartache. In this week's message, Jesus meets a desperate father, a tormented son, and a faith that barely holds on. But even flimsy faith, when placed in the right Person, is enough. Join us as we explore how Jesus brings hope, healing, and resurrection power into our most broken moments.
On the mountaintop, Jesus is transfigured before His disciples, and God the Father interrupts their confusion with a clear command: “This is my beloved Son… listen to Him.” In a world full of competing voices, this moment cuts through the noise and reminds us: Jesus alone is the One we must trust and follow. Whether in parenting, friendships, or faith, we often ignore wise counsel, especially from God Himself. But His words are not burdens; they are life. Don't miss the invitation to know and follow the voice of the Good Shepherd.

Welcome to Generation Church! In this powerful sermon based on Mark 7:24-37, we explore the unexpected grace of Jesus as he crosses boundaries and offers new life to those the world considers outsiders. From a desperate mother in Tyre to a deaf man in need of healing, we see Jesus meet people with compassion and precision, not through a formula, but through his personal care and mercy. It's time to stop searching for life hacks and instead focus on the only true formula for life: Jesus himself. We are reminded that true transformation comes not from outward changes or rituals, but from the grace-filled encounter with Christ who invites us, despite our unworthiness, to take our place at His table. Relationships can feel messy and complicated—especially the ones that matter most. But what if grace offers a way to simplify even the most challenging dynamics? In this message, Matt explores how shifting from Performance-Based Acceptance to Jesus-Based Acceptance not only transforms our relationship with God but also brings clarity, freedom, and peace to every other relationship in our lives. Welcome to Generation Church! Ever feel like you're constantly being measured—by others, by yourself, even by the church? The unspoken rules. The scorecards. The pressure to prove you're “doing it right.” Turns out, this isn't new.In Mark 7, Jesus goes head-to-head with the religious scorekeepers of His day, exposing the problem with man-made traditions: they look holy but miss the heart. The real issue isn't what's on the outside—it's what's inside. And no amount of rule-keeping can fix that. But here's the good news: Jesus didn't come to hand us another checklist. He came to set us free. Free from the weight of trying to measure up. Free to live from a new heart—one that He gives, not one we earn.So the question is: Are you holding onto tradition…or Truth?+ + + + +Hey, while you're here, please help Generation by clicking the 'Subscribe' button, then click on the BELL (on mobile devices, also click 'ALL'). Welcome to Generation Church! Life can feel like an endless battle against the wind and waves—struggles we didn't ask for, storms we never saw coming. Maybe you've wondered, Why would God allow this? Maybe you've tried to fight your way through on your own, paddling harder, grasping for control, questioning if Jesus even sees you.But what if the storm isn't proof of His absence, but the very place He's revealing His power? In Mark 6, the disciples find themselves in deep trouble—rowing hard, making no progress, exhausted, afraid. Then Jesus comes through the storm to meet them. He doesn't calm the waves first—He walks on them. He doesn't wait for their fear to subside—He speaks into it: Take courage! I am here!Step into this story and see that Jesus is more than enough in the storm. More than enough for our fear, our striving, our need. The very winds that threaten to sink us might just be the stage for Him to show us who He really is.+ + + + +Hey, while you're here, please help Generation by clicking the 'Subscribe' button, then click on the BELL (on mobile devices, also click 'ALL'). Many of us live with a shrink-wrapped view of the gospel. Sure, at salvation it was the GREATEST news ever, but over time we lost sight of just how incredible God's grace is and continues to be. We slipped into the performance trap of trying to become something we already are in Christ. Our joy is gone and we wonder what happened. What if the good news of the gospel is far better than we realize? Jesus said the truth would set us free. Let's take Him at His word. Let's dive into some amazing truths that are already true about every Christian right now so that we can walk in freedom! + + + + +Hey, while you're here, please help Generation by clicking the 'Subscribe' button, then click on the BELL (on mobile devices, also click 'ALL'). Welcome to Generation Church! What do we do with 2000 year old parables of Jesus talking about seeds, and lamps, and old testament references about the prophet Isaiah? Glad you asked! This Sunday we look at how Jesus used these parables (stories) to prepare His team for the journey ahead. It's hard to understand at times how God is working and moving in the world. But Jesus gives us insights by telling us these parables. I have found these uniquely encouraging and accurate as I seek to invest in other people's lives spiritually and I hope you will too! Welcome to Generation Church! This Sunday we look at the day Jesus healed a man with a deformed hand on the Sabbath. It's one of those moments in scripture that are both amazing and depressing. The amazing part is we see Jesus restore a life. The depressing part is the response of some of the crowd. Their response reveals that there was a deeper deformation that day than just the man's hand. How does Jesus respond to such critical and resentful people? His reaction might surprise you. Welcome to Generation Church! In talking with friends and acquaintances who don't know or follow Jesus, I always find it fascinating to hear what barriers keep them from believing the Gospel. I also find myself compelled to help one of those barriers be removed! It's heartbreaking to hear about barriers to faith in Jesus. In this chunk of scripture we are presented with two large barriers to faith. One is the barrier of comprehension, the other is the barrier of scripture. You might ask, how are comprehension (understanding) and scriptures barriers to faith? Well that's exactly what Jesus teaches us in the verses we're going to study! I hope you join us and experience breakthroughs with any barriers you have. I also hope this is an equipping time to help you be an agent of grace in the lives of others! We have seen pretty quickly in our study of Mark's gospel account that Jesus is on a mission! He has come to seek and save the lost. He has come to heal. He has come to deliver. But not everyone seems to be in favor of what he's up to... why not? What stops people from being excited and supportive of what Jesus is up to in the world? What might even stop us today? Deep down in all of us is a longing for good and righteous leadership. As we look across the globe it's agonizing to see the level of corruption, greed, and evil in people with positions of power. Here in the States we also feel the frustration and exasperation when people in positions of power are betraying those they have been sworn to oversee. The initial readers of Mark's gospel understood all of this and much more. They were in an atrocious position under the dictatorship of Emperor Nero. Also for many, their longing for good and upright leadership was going to go unmet in their Roman political landscape. So what kept them from throwing in the towel? What kept the church of Rome from just hiding out and slowly fading away? What did this group of "insignificant" people need to know so they could push back against a kingdom of massive evils? Mark tells us all of that in this next section of scripture we will look at this Sunday together! There are countless societal problems in 2024 and they appropriately can create a lot of angst in us. But it's safe to say our issues as Americans pale in comparison to the issues of the first Christian readers of Mark's Gospel. This was a time when people (specifically Christians) were being burned alive and fed to wild animals. Under such horrific circumstances what would Mark write to start his gospel account? What would he take the opportunity to say to encourage these troubled brothers and sisters? What would the Holy Spirit inspire to meet them where they were at? If you or any of your friends are feeling discouraged or overwhelmed in any way, join us this Sunday! Welcome to Generation Church! As we close out this series on Prayer, lets bring it back to where we started..."Our Father." These are the first words Jesus taught His disciples when He taught them to pray and they are words loaded with Good News. Over and over in the Gospels Jesus applauds the "childlike" and teaches us to pray to our Father. So what does that mean for us in prayer? How do we "come to God in childlikeness?" What does that look like in everyday life? Lets dive into all of that and more as we wrap up this series.Scripture: Luke 10:17-21+ + + + +Hey, while you're here, please help Generation by clicking the 'Subscribe' button, then click on the BELL (on mobile devices, also click 'ALL'). Welcome to Generation Church! We're diving into the often misunderstood and sometimes frustrating world of prayer. While prayer is meant to be a simple conversation with God, it can also bring a lot of pressure and raise tough questions. Are we doing it wrong? Am I doing it enough? Is there something wrong with me? Why does it seem like God is silent? Join us as we "troubleshoot" some of these questions head-on and rediscover the freedom that comes from connecting with our heavenly Father through prayer. Don't miss this chance to be encouraged and refreshed in your prayer life!+ + + + +Hey, while you're here, please help Generation by clicking the 'Subscribe' button, then click on the BELL (on mobile devices, also click 'ALL'). Welcome to Generation Church! When you think of someone praying...what image comes to your mind? My other guess is that the most common answer will be "a person with their head down, eyes closed, hands clasped, and sitting in silence." The question then is, is that how Jesus would coach us to pray? Is there a specific posture? Should it be quiet, silent, loud, or something else? This week like every week we'll dive into the scriptures and find incredibly practical help in our Praying Lives. Specifically we will look at how often God uses walking to connect with humans and what that might mean for each of us!+ + + + +Hey, while you're here, please help Generation by clicking the 'Subscribe' button, then click on the BELL (on mobile devices, also click 'ALL'). Welcome to Generation Church! Join us for a message called "Tuned In." We're going to look at Jesus' teaching the Gospel of John chapter 10 and the role listening takes in our prayer lives. Many people think of prayer mostly as what I do, say, or even how I speak to God. Those aren't wrong but they are only part of our communication with God. Those also assume that we're the only ones doing the talking in prayer. Yet the bible reveals robust examples cover to cover of how God speaks to His people and is the initiator of the conversation. Sunday we will dive into Jesus' plain teachings on how He is the Good Shepherd and His sheep recognize His voice and follow. We will look at the power, expectation, and discernment needed to live a praying life "Tuned In" to the voice of Jesus.+ + + + +Hey, while you're here, please help Generation by clicking the 'Subscribe' button, then click on the BELL (on mobile devices, also click 'ALL'). Welcome to Generation Church! Last week Jesus taught us that a significant part of a praying life includes making space for acknowledging the Holiness of God. This is the "Hallowed be thy name" portion of the Lord's prayer. This week we're double clicking on that movement "Hallowed be thy name" of the Lord's prayer. Hallowed means to set apart as Holy, matchless, unique and awesome. It's possible the "prayer" we need most is to turn our eyes upon Him and simply stand in awe of God! May we look full in His wonderful face, and let the things of earth grow strangely dim in the light of His glory and grace.+ + + + +Hey, while you're here, please help Generation by clicking the 'Subscribe' button, then click on the BELL (on mobile devices, also click 'ALL'). Welcome to Generation Church! How do you pray? When do you pray? What is prayer? These are all questions we're excited to talk through in this new series on prayer! In week one, we explore what Jesus meant when He said to His disciples "This is how you should pray..." It's pretty sweet that we don't have to wonder, in fact Jesus came to remove the confusion and bring clarity to how we can pray, experience a deeper relationship with Him, and cultivate a Praying Life. Our hope is that you would begin to experience greater intimacy with God and that over the course of these 7 weeks you'd learn to connect with Him in the midst of this distracted world.+ + + + +Hey, while you're here, please help Generation by clicking the 'Subscribe' button, then click on the BELL (on mobile devices, also click 'ALL'). Welcome to Generation Church! “It's not so much what happens to us in life that shapes us, it's what we tell ourselves about what happened to us that shapes us.” ― Tim KellerLiving in a broken world, it's tempting for us to believe we are what we do or what has happened to us. These lies can have a powerful grip on us, keeping us from stepping into the freedom that is ours in Christ. Thankfully, we don't need to stay in that place of bondage. The gospel is good news of Truth that sets us free from the lies that deceive us. Learn who you are and WHOSE you are in this powerful message from John 1:1-18.+ + + + +Hey, while you're here, please help Generation by clicking the 'Subscribe' button, then click on the BELL (on mobile devices, also click 'ALL'). We live in a world of distraction. Attention spans are getting shorter. The multitude of time wasting activity is at an all time high, squeezing out and obscuring the truly beneficial and productive gospel living we've been called to. This is nothing new. In fact, this is the very thing Paul warns Titus about as he closes his letter and the very thing we need to hear today. Join us as we wrap up our series through Titus and be empowered by grace to eliminate the weapons of mass distraction in our life.+ + + + +Hey, while you're here, please help Generation by clicking the 'Subscribe' button, then click on the BELL (on mobile devices, also click 'ALL'). Welcome to Generation! Have you ever gone somewhere for a mission trip? Usually mission trips are filled with a lot of mixed experiences. There are moments when you're filled with excitement, joy, and purpose. There are also moments where you're filled with frustration, discomfort, and a longing to "just be in my own bed." But if you ask most people how their trip went, almost always they say something like..."it was life changing." Why is that? What is it about mission trips that have such a profound impact on us? At minimum, it's because every day is a day of purpose. And every day on a mission trip is filled with expectancy and hope. So what stops us from waking up every day with a mission trip mentality? What stops us from living with purpose and hope? Or better yet... how can we bring that purpose and joy into every day? That's what we're diving into as we close out Titus chapter 2.+ + + + +Hey, while you're here, please help Generation by clicking the 'Subscribe' button, then click on the BELL (on mobile devices, also click 'ALL').
