Gary continues his conversation with Kevin Barber about technology and artificial intelligence. Kevin reveals a tool he made for American Vision, which can be found at www.AmericanVision.ai. Using open source AI software, Kevin created a chatbot that learned to think using only Gary DeMar books and it is ready and waiting to answer all your Bible prophecy and eschatology questions right now.
Gary discusses two new books now available from American Vision, Gary's North's Victim's Rights and Gary DeMar's newest book Prophecy Wars. These two have more in common than might be apparent to many, but both are essentially apologetic works about controversial topics about the Bible.

Is there a difference between being a Christian nation vs. being a nation founded on Christian principles? Gary DeMar from American Vision dives into this question and provides fascinating insights into America's biblical foundations. Drawing from historical documents and engaging examples, he examines how even non-Christian founders like Jefferson and Franklin understood the importance of biblical principles in governance. We also explore recent political and cultural shifts in America, why top-down governmental solutions may not be the answer to our nation's problems, and how Christians can effect change through future-oriented personal responsibility in their families, businesses, and local communities.
Volume 2 of Kim Burgess and Gary DeMar's The Hope of Israel and the Nations is now available! Gary discusses the book, the series, and what Kim calls the "meta-hermeneutic" of the New Testament (p. 13). Why did Paul write letters and Luke write "historical documents?" Each writing had a particular motivation behind it and we must take this into consideration when interpreting them. Dr. Alan Kurschner gave four reasons why holding to the premillennial view is important and, thus, why the millennial debate is significant. Premillennialism teaches that at Jesus's second coming, he will deliver the righteous and judge the ungodly. Then, the righteous will enter into a period—the millennium—of peace and righteousness, during which Jesus establishes on earth his physical reign over all nations, including a restored nation of Israel that recognizes him as the Messiah. All nations will worship Jesus as King and Lord. The future millennium will be characterized socially, politically, ethnically, and spiritually. This is why Christians pray to the Father, "May your kingdom come." Dr. Kurschner believes premillennialism is the correct biblical view because the narrative in Revelation 19:11–20:3 indicates this. Traditionally, interpreters have mistakenly started the millennial debate in chapter 20. But the narrative context begins before Revelation 20. There is a cause-and-effect action where the victory of Jesus at the battle of Armageddon will cause the defeat of the three enemies of God: the beast (i.e., Antichrist), the false prophet, and Satan. The passage states that Satan's immediate punishment will be his binding in the abyss for 1,000 years (i.e. the millennium). In short, since Jesus' battle victory occurs during his future second coming, the binding of Satan must begin at the second coming. Interpreters who approach Bible prophecy with frameworks that preclude a future reality of key prophecies either collapse biblical prophecies as having already happened in the past (preterism) or throughout church history (historicism) or make them all merely ideas (idealism). Premillennialism takes the Bible's warnings seriously as they relate to the future intervention of God's Son with humankind at the end of the age. First, Satan is not bound during the church age (contra Amillennialism), but instead, he is “a roaring lion . . . on the prowl looking for someone to devour” (1 Pet 5:8). Premillennialism takes seriously the spiritual battle that the Bible portrays within the spirit world, significantly as it will escalate just before Christ returns. We are also not living in the blessed millennial age. We are living in a wicked age where injustice, immorality, and no fear of God dominate this world. We long for the day when our righteous King returns to defeat his enemies and “break them with an iron scepter; [and] smash them like a potter's jar!'” Second, premillennialism rightly takes into consideration the complex nature of God's dealings with his people. Amillennialism, on the other hand, views the return of Christ as an overly simple event, monochromatically. That is, there is no emphasis on the events leading up to the return of Christ; basically, in their schema, the return of Christ will happen in a single day, and we will all be suddenly ushered into the eternal state. This is not what the Bible depicts. Instead, the premillennial view rightly views a complex-comprehensive whole in which God will fulfill his redemptive purposes through stages: Antichrist's great tribulation, eschatological suffering of the church and Israel, resurrection, rapture, the day of the Lord's wrath (itself a complex series of events), salvation of Israel, new heavens and earth, the complex social, ethnic, political, material aspects of the millennium, Satan's final defeat—then finally the eternal state. Third, premillennialism does not believe that the world will increasingly get better before Christ returns (contra postmillennialism, Pat Robertson, Gary DeMar, et al.). There are many postmillennial churches that are misleading God's people teaching that God will use politics as a means to better this world and prepare the world for the gospel. Premillennialism teaches, instead, that the Bible shows the world will increasingly become more wicked before Christ returns,

The coming of Jesus was a new way of God speaking in the last days. The last days were in operation in the first century. The Christians who read this letter were to understand that they were living in the last days of an important era that was about to end.”Gary DeMarMany professing American Christians believe we are living in the “last days” before the coming of Christ. But the early Christians believed they were living in the “last days” leading up to Christ's judgment on Jerusalem. Gary reviews a book by Ken Johnson called "The End Times and the Ancient Church Fathers." Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will boy no means pass away till all these things take place. Matthew 24:21-22,34.Many of our modern prophecy preachers foresee the ‘great tribulation' as a fearful future event that we can only escape by being included in the rapture of the church. They completely ignore the fact that all of Jesus' prophecies in Matthew 24 were fulfilled 2000 years ago!“One reason there is so much speculation and error about when the end might be stands above them all: Fulfilled prophecy is being interpreted as unfulfilled prophecy.”Gary DeMarWe hope you enjoy Part 2 of Pastor Ray's series, “Last Days Madness: What You Believe About the Future Can Hurt You”.

And Jesus answered and said to them: "Take heed that no one deceives you…”Matthew 24:3-4What we believe about the future determines how we live in the present. The failure of the modern American church to Christianize the culture comes from a false view of the future, the end-times, and the 2nd Coming of Christ. It is time to correct that.“Today's speculative madness related to repeated failed attempts at predicting the end must be attributed to a gross misunderstanding of biblical prophecy.”Gary DeMarIn this new series, Pastor Ray will be teaching on topics that are often misunderstood, including: the Rapture, the Great Tribulation, the Antichrist, the ‘mark of the beast', and the Book of Revelation. In Christianity, there is a lot of discussion about end times, tribulation, rapture, and similar topics. Mike Winther addresses end times views found in the Bible. The modern church holds different views compared to the traditional perspectives. In this episode, Mike argues in favor of the traditional view rather than the modern interpretation of the end times. He also emphasizes that this topic is not an absolute necessity of the Christian faith. True and honest Christians disagree about the end times and even about what the Bible says regarding them. As believers, this is a subject on which we can agree or disagree. Most churches have adopted the newer version of the end times from the 1860s or 1870s; this view encourages the church to remain passive. In this discussion, Mike revisits what the Bible says as he concludes this series. You'll Learn: [01:02] There are Christians who believe that when the Antichrist takes over there will be a one world government. This ties in because there are people pushing for a one world government. [02:52] Their church had a dispensational view. This view says that there's a 7-year tribulation coming, at the end of this is the second coming of Christ, things get worse and worse, there's a one world government, and Christians are persecuted. [03:41] There is also the view that the church is raptured out either at the beginning, middle, or end of the tribulation. [05:58] Mike spent a year reading Gary Demar and studying biblical end times. He had an amazing bible study year. [06:23] If you haven't heard of this view, he wants you to at least know about it. You might just have the best Bible study year of your life. [06:45] Eschatology is the study of the end times. [07:34] Matthew 24. The Olivet discourse. [17:41] According to all of the scripture these prophecies took place in the first century. [19:44] The new world view is the future tribulation and the one world government. The old worldview was that the tribulation was a prophecy. [20:02] The prophetic event that we are waiting for is the second coming of Jesus. [21:27] The Antichrist isn't mentioned in Revelations. [22:53] Mike talks about Revelations 1. [26:29] In Matthew, Jesus talks about the abomination of desolation. [28:31] Second Thessalonians chapter 2. [30:41] Psalm 110. This is the Old Testament passage most quoted in the New Testament. [32:37] The end times view of things getting worse and worse isn't supported in scripture. [33:13] The 3,000 page challenge. [33:58] Free yourself from debt and government subsidies. Consider the 5% Challenge and supporting good causes. [37:21] Suggest a ministry in the church for government economics. [38:04] Encourage private education as opposed to government education. [40:09] Don't be afraid to teach hard biblical truth. Present it lovingly and humbly but present the truth. [41:31] Have a long-term strategy of education and changing hearts and minds. [45:00] William Wilberforce and his plight to absolve the slave trade. Reality and "truth" are being fragmented by modern political and social efforts and promulgated through the internet and social media. Are we living in the last days? On today's podcast we revisit an issue of tremendous consequence—particularly in light of the ongoing conflict in the middle east. That issue revolves around the popular notion that Christians will be raptured out of this world—a rapture currently being dubbed, “The Great Disappearance.” Unfortunately, these modern eschatological interpretations are simply the result of scripture being taken out of context. These misunderstandings about the end times (eschatology) have been enthusiastically propagated by popular end-times prophecy pundits—from books and movies such as the Left Behind series by Tim LaHaye, to the “Great Disappearance” being preached by Dr. David Jeremiah. In reality, the Great Disappearance, subtitled “31 ways to be rapture ready” is simply the latest twist on an increasingly popular theme within modern-day Christianity—a theme that is relatively new in the history of Christendom. A proper eschatological evaluation is not merely a matter of theoretical significance as our interpretations have a tremendous impact on geopolitical relations and reactions. Simply put, a biblical understanding of the end times is not only important—it is essential. Hank Hanegraaff is joined by expert Gary DeMar to examine whether we are living in the last days as he explains what the Bible really says about the end times and why it matters. *This is an encore presentation of Hank Unplugged with an updated introduction to provide context. Gary continues his response to Answers in Genesis' Ken Ham. Ham uses 2 Peter 3 to show that we are in the "last days." This has been done time and time again, and every time it has been shown to be wrong. Peter was speaking about events of his own day in the first century, not about the state of the culture or the church in our day. Read the article by David Chilton and Gary DeMar on 2 Peter 3 here: https://americanvision.org/3603/what-does-peter-mean-by-the-passing-away-of-heaven-and-earth-a-study-of-2-peter-3/
* The Conclusion of the Matter: Now that this series is complete, the question is: will the Preterists at TheologyOnline.com and TheologyWeb.com link to these discussions between Bob Enyart and Gary DeMar? (To make it easy: Gary DeMar & Bob Enyart Pt 1, Gary Demar & Bob Enyart Pt 2, Gary DeMar & Bob Enyart Pt 3.) That will at least provide a hint as to whether they think the Preterist or the Dispensational position was best defended. * The One Verse: Gary DeMar argues that dispensationalists cannot give one verse that shows that the rapture precedes the great tribulation. Of course, a one-verse test is not a valid test, and many vital doctrines including that of the triune God require more than one verse to demonstrate. However, Bob happily quoted Paul's statement, "Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come [The Departure] first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition" (2 Thes. 2:3). The Greek word for "falling away" is apostasia, which today means departure from the faith, but is a cognate noun (related by derivation) of the verb aphistemi which means to depart as when "the angel departed" (Acts 12:10). Also, while some translators overlook this, Paul here uses the definite article "the," that is "the departure," making this a reference that expects an antecedent. That is, Paul is not referring to any apostasia, but to a particular one, "The Apostasia." So, which Departure is Paul referring to? An antecedent does not necessarily need to appear in the immediate context, but it is common that it would. And there is no "falling away" in Paul's Epistle up to this point that his definite article could refer to. However, this very paragraph begins (two verses earlier) with the direct statement of "our being gathered together to Him" which explicitly identifies the Departure that is being referred to, that is: "concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him..." * Thanks to You!: Our annual BEL February telethon is going great thanks to our listeners! * Does the Fig Tree Represent Israel? Jesus warned by parable that after His three years of earthly ministry to Israel, that nation would have one more year of mercy to accept their resurrected Messiah, otherwise He would cut off their national covenant. Luke 13:6-9 "He also spoke this parable: 'A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard, and he came seeking fruit on it and found none. Then he said to the keeper of his vineyard, 'Look, for three years I have come seeking fruit on this fig tree and find none. Cut it down; why does it use up the ground?' But he answered and said to him, 'Sir, let it alone this year also, until I dig around it and fertilize it. And if it bears fruit, well. But if not, after that you can cut it down.'" Jesus came for the three years of His earthly ministry to Israel! As He said in Mat. 15:24, "I was not sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Israel." (That is, Jesus died for the sin of the world, but He was sent by His Father specifically to "the house of Israel!") Thus it was from Israel that Christ sought for the fruit of faith, and found none. And it was Israel He threatened to cut off. So, a year after the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, national Israel had utterly rejected its Savior. Thus as a nation, Israel lost its status with God under the Covenant of Circumcision. * Who was Cut Off in Romans 11? The Apostle Paul explains in Romans 11 (vv. 15, 21-25, 30) that Israel was cut off for unbelief, and yet, that God is able to graft them back in again, and He will, when the fullness of the Gentiles (the Body of Christ) comes in! DeMar says that Romans 11 teaches the fulfillment of the Abrahamic promise that salvation would come to the Gentiles, however what he misses is that God's hope was to bring salvation to the Gentiles through national Israel! However, since they rejected their Messiah, God brought salvation to the Gentiles in spite of Israel, for the Gentiles "have now obtained mercy through their [Israel's] disobedience," and "their [Israel's] being cast away is the reconciling of the world!" Gary DeMar agreed that national Israel was cut off from their covenant relationship with God, but then He added that they would never be grafted back in again. However, Paul wrote that we "should not be ignorant," and should realize that though they were cut off, "God is able to graft them in again," for what "has happened to Israel [has happened only] until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in!" * Does the Bible Represent Israel with a Fig Tree? As heard in Part I, Gary DeMar disagrees with Bob and others who say that the Bible frequently uses a "fig tree" as a symbol of national Israel. But consider this excerpt from Bob Enyart's best-selling manuscript, The Plot: - "I found Israel like grapes in the wilderness; I saw your fathers as the firstfruits on the fig tree..." Hosea 9:10 - "Thus said the Lord, the God of Israel: ‘Like these good figs, so... are [those] carried away captive from Judah... I will bring them back to this land... And as the bad figs... are... Jerusalem...'" Jer. 24:5-8 - [The Lord will make Israel] like rotten figs that cannot be eaten, they are so bad. Jer. 29:17 - [A nation] has laid waste My vine, And ruined My fig tree [describing Israel's destruction]. Joel 1:7 Both the vine and the fig tree sprout from the earth, from the soil beneath the land of Israel. God expected Israel, the people of the promised land, to bear fruit to Him just as both the vine and the fig tree (Song 2:13) bear fruit. Working with these symbols, God would sometimes bless or curse the fruit of the vine and the fig tree as a sign of His regard for Israel. God used good fruit or bad fruit in prophecy to represent His intentions toward the Jews. (Scripture commonly includes figs representing the blessing or cursing, etc., of the land of Israel as in Joel 1:12; 2:18 with 22-23; Num. 13:23; 20:5; Deut. 8:8; 1 Kings 4:25; Jer. 5:17; 8:13; Hosea 2:12; Amos 4:9; Haggai 2:19; Micah 4:4-5 and Zech. 3:10.) Theonomy, preterism, reconstruction, and covenant theology. Here at BEL we are theonomists, teaching that man's law should overtly reflect God's law. However, we reject preterism, reconstructionism, and covenant theology. For decades, we have asked adherents of those systems to produce a criminal code that they believe would be just. So far, other than offering generic lengthy and even 1,000-page books on related subjects, they have yet to do so. We presume that they may never do so. By not dispensationally rightly dividing the Word, Covenant theologians are unable to discern between laws that God gave exclusively given to Israel and the laws that the Lord desires to be applied to the whole world. In this final part of his interview with Dr. Gary North, Gary DeMar asks what can be done right now. What should concerned Christians be doing to stop the seemingly overwhelming tide of governmental increase and tyranny? How can/should the Church respond?
In this first part of a three-part interview, Gary DeMar talks with Dr. Gary North about the need for Christians to take action. The research and study has all been done. The books and newsletters have all been written. More information isn't necessary; action is what is needed now.

In this subscriber-only episode, we continue our conversation with Dr. Samuel Frost on full preterism. We delve into the Gary Demar controversy and offer our continued concerns with his trajectory, especially his affiliation with notable Hyper-Preterist thinkers. Gary's language today reflects much of the language used by full-preterists at the height of their movement, which is even more troubling. Sam and I also discuss the universalist and syncretistic appeal of hyper-preterism and offer examples of how full-preterism has ended in cultish places. Welcome to this new season of The Perspectivalist! Episode 1 of Season 4 begins with an interview with one of the world's foremost scholars on full-preterism, Dr. Samuel Frost. This movement has gained some notoriety recently due to controversies that erupted on social media. Sam was deeply invested in the movement speaking at their main conferences and engaging their main leaders. Still, he recognized that the movement lacked biblical ground and sought to re-invent central doctrines of the Christian faith. He wrote a book to tell his story. You can purchase his book here. We discussed many things, including the history, appeal, and esoteric nature of the movement, questions concerning infinity, Christology, and a look at the central Ascension text in Acts 1. In addition, we will provide tomorrow another 30-minute conversation for our paid subscribers, where we discuss the Gary Demar controversy and a few pertinent biblical passages in this present discussion. You can subscribe for special episodes and interviews for $1 a month. Preterism; full, partial, a little, alot? Controversy has been swirling! Has Gary DeMar, AKA Uncle Gary, gone full preterist? We don't know. DeMar has been a great apologist for the Chrstian faith for many years, so it's wise not to jump to conclusions and rush to judgement. Today the Rebels give their thoughts. The letter sent to Gary DeMar a few weeks ago carries immense repercussions for the life of the Church. Anyone who cherishes the ecclesia for whom Christ died must find refuge in the hope of the resurrection. To deviate from such hope is to lose hope. If there is no resurrection of the dead, then not even Christ has been raised. In this episode, I offer a brief sketch of Satan's progressive defeat in history, showing that such a final defeat could not have happened in the first century but is dependent on a longer historical model that accentuates the defeat of the devil and progressively builds on his humiliation. In this episode of Having Two Legs, Pastor Toby Sumpter addresses the conversation surrounding Gary DeMar, presents his primary questions and concerns for Gary, and gives guidance on how to respond to those who dabble with such doctrines.
In the last episode, I argued that DeMar was playing with historical fire. His interest in re-considering the CREEDs carry far more repercussions than he may assume. To deny a physical, glorious Second Coming is to deny the very life of the Church in its liturgical and organizational form. I do not believe that the issue is to ask the question, "What does the Bible say?" through the lens of interpretive neutrality. I believe the question deserves a bigger platform that includes the normative, situations, and existential, but more than that, the work of the Spirit in the Scriptures. The question "What does the Bible Say?" assumes an interpretation of the priesthood of the believer. I believe Gary is assuming a papal interpretive perspective which sets a terrible precedent for future students to question the very core of redemptive history. My hope is that DeMar would see the need to restore a proper perspective on reading the Bible and return to Luther's priesthood, which is a re-statement of the corpus of all biblical priesthood. Andrew Sandlin and many others (myself included) sent an open letter to Gary Demar concerning his theological transitions. We posed a few straightforward questions for him to consider. Gary offered an initial podcast response today. In this episode, I begin by addressing the gravity of the matter and whether this is simply a topic for dialogue or whether this trespasses historical boundaries. While Gary Demar has done much good in his public ministry, we hope that these exchanges will draw him back to the biblical and historical position of the Church. Today we have the opportunity to speak with Gary DeMar on the issue of a biblical worldview, specifically looking at what freedom means to Christians. What does it mean to be free? How far does our freedom extend? Is there a difference between political freedom and spiritual freedom? We tackle all of this and more in this episode of Situation Report. Gary DeMar introduces the audience to his long-time friend, Kim Burgess. The two discuss eschatology and how all the pieces of the Bible fit together as a comprehensive whole. Kim talks about the difference between systematic theology and biblical theology and how the Bible needs to be read and understood on its own terms.
In this episode, Gary DeMar advocates that America once had a Christian heritage that can and should be recovered and that some of Israel's civil laws should indeed govern American and Western society.
