Scott Stabile had every reason to be angry with the world, but he chose love instead. At the age of 14, Scott's parents were killed at the market they ran, leaving behind a family of seven kids. Stabile was the baby of the group, and nine years later, his brother overdosed and died from a heroine addiction. In those years, he was surrounded by a lot of tragedy, addiction and loss. And, he buried it all, keeping it secret through school, until eventually, it couldn't stay buried any longer. His awakening eventually led him into a journey of discovery where his deep seeking for answers and connection led him to San Francisco and eventually into the embrace of a cult, where he stayed for many years.Flowing through all of this was Scott's internal, turned external struggle with his sexuality as a gay man at a time when being out was a very different experience than it is now. Through it all, though, Scott continually found a way to turn back to love. And eventually, he made a choice that stuck, to live on his own terms, no matter what comes his way, with a wide-open heart. He began to share his journey and philosophy through teachings, workshops, and inspirational posts and videos that have attracted a huge and devoted social media following. A passionate speaker and love advocate, Scott runs daylong empowerment workshops nationally and internationally. Guiding Principle, Quote or Mantra What does love invite me to do in this moment?  or  How is love inviting me to respond in this moment? When You Tripped Up When Scott is tripping up the most it is always around communication. It is always around an unwillingness to sit in front of one another and be honest with what’s going on. This includes being willing and present to his partner’s truth. Showing up to a conversation without the need to be right. It is important to consider timing. If we enter into communication with our partners when there’s really no good possibility of anything positive happening, we’re setting ourselves up for failure. The “DUH” moment that changed your partnerships forever No one can read your mind. Scott used to get so frustrated and angry that his partner should know what he’s thinking and responding in accordance to what is going on in his mind. This expectation always leads to disappointment. A Payoff of Partnership When Scott came into partnership with himself and love as the guiding force in his life, and was finally able to heal from the tragic loss of his parents when he was a child. Once he partnered with love all the relationships in his life shifted. And his life changed for the better, over and over and over again.
