mWe conclude our conversation with former astrologer Marcia Montenegro. I argue the vice-president is just a puppet, look at Sarah and Sodom, encourage prayer and more.
I give thanks for my beloved wife Lisa. I consider how prosecutorial and sentencing leeway can easily become political weapons. Why Sarah laughed, and why the gate is narrow. Finally, remembering we are the miserable.
Lisa and I talk about the need to encourage women in hardships. I warn against those warning against Christians being politically active. In Month of Sundays we look at God giving Abram and Sarai new names. We seek supporters for our new youtube venture, and finally, do we turn the other cheek, or put the shoe on the other foot?
Lisa and I explain our new youtube channel, Going Homesteady. I consider the folly of bureacrats making legal judgments without trials, the foolish pragmatism of Abram and Sarai, the loving kindness of our heavenly Father and weigh in on where souls come from.
Lisa and I talk about her blog's purpose and reach. I consider all we don't know from the release of Epstein's lisr, and what we learn from God cutting covenant with Abraham. I remember variety TV shows from the 70s and make not of the last time the United States went to war, in 1941.
Lisa and I discuss Psalm 139:16. I wonder why no one is talking about Joe Biden's lack of acuity. We learn from Abram and Lot dividing the land, from Abram in Egypt and more.
Lisa and I consider the wisdom of Psalm 64:10. I encourage us to be thankful all year round and consider Abram's life as a pilgrim in the Promised Land. Our That 70s Kid segment remembers some of the forgotten foods of the 70s. And finally, are we in store for a seismic cultural shift?
Lisa and I discuss God's blessing on Job at the end of his life. I consider how Ohio's constitutional amendment enshrining abortion came to be. We remember Abram's faith in going when God called him. We remember God's faithfulness to Abram in the stars and we unpack the Kenotic Hymn and what it means for the deity of Christ.
Lisa and I discuss husbands and wives discussing the Biblle. I critique Shutdown Theater, when the government pretends to embrace fiscal sanity. I consider the life of Nimrod, Abram as a wanderer in his own land, and our call to seek wisdom.
Lisa and I discuss her good work encouraging ladies on social media. Why Sean Hannity's pitch for AM radio is fascist, how Noah's geneology reminds us of important truths, the weariness the comes with serving two masters, plus, why the western world's worldview is both arrogant and humiliated.
Today we join Tina Hollenbeck. Author of 8 Great Smarts for Homeschoolers and creator of The Homeschool Resource Roadmap. This podcast was originally recorded as 1 interview which I split up into 2 parts. The first part covers Tina's story and how she got into homeschooling after being a teacher for many years. Throughout her story we learn that the journey that led her to creating the Homeschool Resource Roadmap actually started off as a 'little' personal project jumpstarted from Common Core making an appearance. Don't stop there though, be sure to stick around for part 2 as we go into the different styles of homeschooling and the book she wrote; 8 Great Smarts for Homeschoolers! TINA HOLLENBECK BIO:Tina and her husband Jeff educated their Irish-Twin daughters from home for the girls' whole lives, graduating them together in Spring 2020. Tina began actively advocating for homeschooling parents in March 2013, with the creation of her free curriculum database, The Homeschool Resource Roadmap. From that foundation, she subsequently created other resources, including a homeschool-parent resource center for home educators in her local area and an online discussion group that connects Christian homeschoolers across the country. She's also written a book, 8 Great Smarts for Homeschoolers, published by Moody Publishers in August 2021. When not thinking or talking about homeschooling, Tina cheerleads for her husband, daughters, and son-in-law; laughs at her cats' antics; cherishes the opportunity to serve on her church's worship team; and dotes on her first grandchild, born in December 2022. Resources: Tina's website: https://www.homeschoolroadmap.org/ Israel Wayne has several books for homeschoolers, including Education: Does God Have an Opinion? He is a homeschool grad (his mom homeschooled his siblings and him before it was legal as a single mom!) and current homeschool dad himself. The pastor mentioned who strongly advocates for homeschooling is Voddie Baucham. Lisa and I contiue our discussion on God's sovereignty and marriage. I explain how cynicism destroyed the Soviet Union and is destroying the US. Month of Sundays looks at God's gift of uniformity. Good News consider the eye as the lamp of the body and I give 5 reasons bloggers use lists.
Lisa and I continue to discuss her success gardening, focusing on cooking and canning. I bemoan Reformed turf wars past and present. We consider the long process of Noah getting to dry ground, Jesus' admonition to seek heavenly treasures and how I am a slave, and that's a good thing.
Lisa and I continue to discuss her successful gardening project. I explore the arguments that running backs are underpaid. I remember visiting the Grand Canyon, God's Graveyard. I explore Abram's lie to Pharoah. Finally, under what circumstances is revolution justified?
Lisa and I conclude our conversation on Proverbs 31. I consider the work of the devil is spreading sexual confusion, remember Nimrod, long for 70s candy and remind us that we are called to exercise dominion, reflecting God's glory in creation.
Lisa and I talk about Proverbs 31: 24-27. I consider the nature of tax returns, the list of Noah's descendants in Genesis, Jesus on vows and our nation being part of the axis of evil.
Lisa and I continue to discuss Proverbs 31. I remind us of what we don't know about the Project Veritas debacle, consider what Jesus warns us our righteousness must exceed that of the Pharisees, remember our obsession with stereos in the 1970s and compare our misuse of the biblical text with the state's misuse of the Constitution.
Lisa and I discuss more of Proverbs 31. Plus, Wu-WHO? I consider Jesus coming to fulfill not destroy the law, God establishing civil government in Genesis 9, and our folly in seeking the approval of man.
Lisa and I begin a discussion on Proverbs 31. I consider if we're close to World War III, expound on God's covenant with Noah, remember how big boxing was in the 1970s and ask if the Reformation was really necessary.
Lisa and I consider the blessings and importance of peace in the home. I remember the strange conglomeration that was ABC's Wide World of Sports and give hints on how to recognize neo-liberal churches.
Lisa and I discuss what it means that wives are the weaker vessel. I explore God's relationship to calamities like Hurrican Ian. We consider Jesus' temptation, and more.
Lisa and I continue our journey through I Peter 3. Plus, the gassy President, Jesus' baptism and more.
In our Ask RC segment we consider whether a pastor should preach to the sins of his congregation. In our In the Beginning segment we consider Adam's life in paradise.
We consider the goal of the suffering of Jesus. Did He atone for all sins, or the sins of His people? Plus, our look at Genesis considers the days of creation.
We consider why The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and Stranger Things have dropped off our watch list. Plus, Matthew's headlines in his gospel.
We consider Psalm 29 and our glorious, freely giving Father. We celebrate His grace.
We consider that odd mix of conspiracy theory and racism, British Israelism, and our call to know which hills to die on.

In recent years, numerous high-profile Christian leaders have resigned following revelations of moral failure, including Carl Lentz, Jerry Falwell Jr and Bill Hybels. Others have posthumously been subject to allegations of sexual misconduct, including Jean Vanier and Ravi Zacharias (an independent investigation is ongoing). Karen Swallow Prior who resigned her position at Liberty University over the Falwell affair, and RC Sproul Jr, who has written about his own moral failures, discuss what’s gone wrong in evangelical leadership and whether we are forgetting the female victims in many cases. In this first episode of The Walk, John I. Snyder speaks with RC Sproul Jr. about his new book, Growing Up (with) RC. R.C. is an American minister and theologian, and the son of Ligonier Ministries founder and renowned theologian, Robert Charles Sproul.Click here for more info about Growing Up (with) RC.About The Walk: The Walk is about our faith walk, the way we live out our faith in our daily life. Pastor and author John I. Snyder brings some of his conversations of faith from all aspects with writers, pastors, friends, musicians, entrepreneurs, and others.
In November 2015, RC Sproul Jr woke up in a hospital bed and discovered he'd been arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. Not only was it the worst day of his life, but it was also, paradoxically, one of the best. “It shattered any façade or capacity to pretend I'm better than I really was” he explains. But it wasn't the first time he'd found himself in the Christian press for all the wrong reasons. A year earlier, it was revealed RC had accessed a website dedicated to promoting extra-marital affairs. At the time, he released a statement explaining he'd signed up in “a moment of weakness”, but hadn't committed adultery. Nevertheless, these moral failings begged the question: should RC step back from writing Christian books, leading Bible studies or even tweeting? Many have answered ‘yes', and RC has a large number of critics, especially online. In this in depth interview with Premier Christianity's Sam Hailes, RC opens up about his sin and takes full responsibility for his mistakes. He also answers tough questions on what (if anything) should disqualify a person from ministry and what repentance and restoration really look like.
