Happy St. Patrick's Day! We're continuing our journey through the Leprechaun series with a look at the WWE Studios reboot Leprechaun: Origins starring Hornswoggle as the titular horror character. The biggest thing about this movie is the fact that it is so generic and unmemorable, and we struggle to put into words just how humdrum the whole thing is. We're also drinking Sloop Brewing Co.'s (No) Green Beer NEIPA! linktr.ee/CatchingUpOnCinema Once again, it is “No Theme November” here at Catching Up On Cinema! We'll be reviewing whatever the f*ck we want for the next 4 weeks, so expect little to no consistency between picks this month. This week, Trevor conducts a solo review of Paul Jay's documentary, Hitman Hart: Wrestling with Shadows (1998)! Centered around the subject of legendary wrestler Bret “The Hitman” Hart, the documentary is a gripping and candid examination of the world of professional wrestling during the “Monday Night War”. Using “The Montreal Screwjob” as both framing device and climax, the film serves as one of the more honest examinations of the fateful events of Survivor Series '97, far more raw than many of the WWE Studios produced documentaries that would be released in subsequent years. Additionally, this review also includes mention of the director's follow up mini-doc, The Life and Death of Owen Hart, which was also included on the Canadian International Pictures blu-ray disc. We may not have spent much time talking about it, but the actors strike loomed over our humble little podcast. Now that it is apparently over, we talk about the ramifications it had and what it means for the future. We also have a discussion about the the prequel to Stephen King's It, Welcome to Derry. There are plenty of stories to be told and the possibilities for a strong King property are there.Leprechaun is a strange franchise. It is well-known with even people who have never watched any of them being able to name some of the movies in the franchise. And the titular character is a popular one. It is a smaller series whose first two entries were released in theaters before the rest went straight to video. Until 2014's Leprechaun: Origins. The WWE Studios release is an interesting one that moves the franchise away from its comedy horror roots and goes all in on the scares. The jokes have all been removed and the film has become a creature feature. How well does it work? Well the fact that the next entry was a return to what the Leprechaun is known for says it all.Hell House LLC is another franchise that does not have the largest fanbase. While there is not one villain, there is an overarching story. The fourth installment adds to the lore while staying true to its original roots. We talk about the surprisingly strong characters, the straightforward storytelling, and whether we would want to see more of the found footage movies.Adventures in Movies! is a part of the Morbidly Beautiful Podcast Network. linktr.ee/CatchingUpOnCinema Once again, it is “No Theme November” here at Catching Up On Cinema! We'll be reviewing whatever the f*ck we want for the next 4 weeks, so expect little to no consistency between picks this month. First up, Trevor conducts a solo review of Ryuhei Kitamura's, No One Lives (2012)! Starring Luke Evans, No One Lives (2012) is a bloody and stylish pseudo-slasher with a twist. Produced by WWE Studios, the film also features the former Funkasaurus, Brodus Clay, in a very small role. Fair warning, Trevor picked this one largely as an excuse to wax nostalgic and talk at length about the director, so feel free to skip the first half or so of the episode if all you want is a straightforward review of the movie itself. Cooper and Nolan are getting ready for a battle this week when they rip into NO HOLDS BARRED! This EXTREMELY PG action/comedy is many things - nostalgia for 80s kids everywhere, the first ever film from WWE Studios, a MASSIVE heat check for Hulk Hogan - but what stands out the most is how many dramatic scenes the screenwriter decided to include in the script. Which is especially strange because when Hulk Hogan is your lead actor, dramatic scenes are NOT your friend. That's just one of many lessons the guys are taking away from this one, so ring the bell and let's get started; this episode (featuring a not-quite beer from Great Lakes Brewery) would be a main event anywhere in the country.
The March to Wrestlemania begins this week with the guys being joined by series regular Ryan Gilbert and talking all about the famed WWE Studios production 12 Rounds starring John Cena. They discuss the movie never really quite figuring out what constitutes a "round," Cena barely reacting to most of the deaths in the movie, the weird optics with Cena's partner and the FBI jerk, Miles' wavering Irish accent and much more. We take a break from our lore keeping journey on Following Lucha this week by watching and analyzing WWE Studio's 2015 film, “Santa's Little Helper.” From The Miz being a jerk who feigns a handicap, to losing everything and becoming homeless, to meeting the girl of his dreams who is also an elf, this movie was weirdly sexual and only mildly enjoyable. We also talk wrestling in the week of November 17, 2015, as Paige makes fun of Charlotte's dead brother on Raw, Undertaker piledrives Brad Maddox dressed up as a turkey, and Survivor Series 2015 happens despite the efforts of a terrorist group. Also, we talk Riddle apparently being sent to rehab, Mandy Rose being fired by WWE bc of Lord Tensai, Jim Duggan's house being broken(?) into, Top Dolla's awesome dive on Smackdown!, and Action Andretti beating Chris Jericho in his Dynamite debut! Eine Cashcow für den Massenmarkt? Oder doch echte Horrorliebe? Wir finden es heraus!

We take a detour on our lore keeping journey on Following Lucha this week by watching and analyzing the WWE Studios 2016 Film “Countdown,” starring Dolph Ziggler and a gun-wielding Rusev. Straight up, the movie was boring, uninteresting, and had very few redeeming or embarrassingly bad qualities. Kane is in it, I guess. We also talk current events in wrestling this week, as Cody officially(?) signs with WWE, AEW ghosts Joey Janela & Marko Stunt, and NXT 2.0 goes crazy with Rey Mysterio and Dominik showing up. Also, Thunder Rosa is new AEW women's world champ, Edge has a new theme song, and Rok-C signs with WWE! Who is CSRO?? Who wants a Smackadilla?! Let's find out if The Miz is up to snuff to become Santa's number one helper with a job title so bizarre you'll have to listen to our show to actually hear it. Along the way he runs into an elf with an attitude played by Paige. It's 100% what you should expect from a holiday movie, but only half of the time.
It's Val's birthday and her birthday wish was for Harley and Emily to watch the 2015 WWE Studios film Santa's Little Helper! Buckle up, normies, and have yourself a Mizzy little Christmas.

What made us want to deep dive into No Holds Barred: The Movie? We honestly have no clue. But we did it. And it was something. This deep dive is actually longer than the actual running time for the movie. Who was Rip? Why was Samantha cast as the bad person that Rip needed to forgive? Why did we celebrate Rip killing two people? Why is Brell a movie version of Vince McMahon? Why is Rip's brother named Randy? What did anyone get out of this movie? Also quite a few WWF cameos. At first Dead Man Down didn't have much hope for being a good flick on the surface, especially once you learn it was produced by WWE Studios (yes, wrestling) however, it need up being a good action flick with a decent story! Starring Colin Farrell, Noomi Rapace, and Terrence Howard
This week, the boys talk about the size of the Stanley Cup crowd in Montreal, the result of their NASCAR sponsorship, and the films of WWE Studios. Also, Lyle Richardson of Spector's Hockey will guide us through the decisions the Wild have and will need to make, the Buffalo Sabres core (without a mention of Jack Eichel), and what the Seattle Kraken could do to spend to the salary cap.
I just have to be upfront and apologize. A miscommunication with my guest resulted in only half the audio from "Spaceballs: The Podcast" being recorded. Things will be back on track with the next episode. Thanks for all of your support.

A&E Network and WWE Studios are giving fans the ultimate ringside seat in an all-new Sunday night programming partnership, with eight original two-hour documentaries showcasing the stories behind some of the most memorable WWE Superstars including Stone Cold Steve Austin®, "Macho Man" Randy Savage®, "Rowdy" Roddy Piper™, Booker T®, Shawn Michaels®, Bret Hart, Mick Foley and Ultimate Warrior. Each special will air weekly at 8pm ET/PT, starting with "Stone Cold" Steve Austin on Sunday, April 18. This whole WWE/A&E Biography series has been great so far, BUT I was really looking forward to the Ultimate Warrior episode! Was the Ultimate Warrior ever NOT the Ultimate Warrior, in or out of the ring? Was Michael Richards/"Kramer" the Ultimate Warrior of the comedy world?? WHY ARE WE STILL ALLOWING VINCE RUSSO TO CHIME IN AND ADD NOTHING TO ANYTHING WRESTLING-RELATED??? If i didn't make it clear, I can not STAND Vince Russo (fuck him) AND MORE on “A&E Biography: Ultimate Warrior” - EP 28 of ¿Who Diss? Been Watching!!!
This week we take a look at the WWE Studios film The Main Event. If you like hearing people refer to wrestlers as "superstars" and fans as "the universe," have we got the movie for you. This movie takes place in a bizarre alternate reality where normal people use all of your favorite Vince/WWE buzzwords. Young Leo Thompson dreams of being a WWE superstar (not wrestler) and he finds a magical mask that gives him all the abilities he needs to achieve his dreams. So get ready to watch a middle-schooler embarrass your favorite wrestlers from NXT like Keith Lee and Babatunde. There's plenty of WWE talent in this movie and literally all of them are under used. So it's really not any different from watching an episode of Raw.
This week the boys have been dumped on a island and have to learn quickly about shotgun's, sleeperholds and Vinny Jones' football career.Hunt down the socials:Twitterhttps://twitter.com/100thingspodInstagramhttps://www.instagram.com/100thingsfilm/Facebookhttps://www.facebook.com/100thingsfilm Support the show (https://www.buymeacoffee.com/100things)

Our favorite human is back!! Way back in Episode 4, we covered all of Mike Flanagan's horror feature films except one. Knowing that Episode 13 would cover pro-wrestling related horror, Eric asked that Oculus be held off so it could be the Episode 13 bonus episode. Since the movie's co-produced by WWE Studios, so it kind of counts (hence the wrestling-themed art for this episode). And also because Eric is mean. This is our longest bonus episode yet, but we had an absolute blast discussing a horror movie we love. And we have a special guest with us this time, and another founding member of Oddity Prodigy Productions: Shasta Schatz! So after you've listened to us chat about the movie, check our her amazing cosplay work on Instagram (@scificheergirl). And as always, thanks for listening!!
