Can a storyline about magical artifacts and dragon battles teach us about the real-life struggles of balancing work and family? Join us as we explore the emotional depth and thrilling adventures of Vox Machina's third season with our guest, Sebby Phantom. We gush over the show's intricate narratives and character developments, particularly Scanlan's touching quest to connect with his daughter, paralleling the challenges many face in maintaining personal relationships amidst demanding careers. Whether you're a fan of action-packed quests or heartfelt moments, this season offers a perfect mix of both.We couldn't help but discuss the recurring theme of character deaths and revivals in the series, drawing comparisons to larger-than-life franchises like Dragon Ball and the MCU. Together with Sebby, we debate the narrative impact of these temporary losses and suggest that more permanent departures could heighten the emotional stakes. Our conversation touches on the intriguing arcs of Vex, Vax, and Percy, and speculates on how future seasons might adapt the campaigns of Critical Role with some creative twists. With Vox Machina transitioning from tabletop to animation, the changes have brought new dimensions to storytelling and character depth, something we wholeheartedly celebrate. We delve into the expanded roles and darker narratives within the group, examining the leadership challenges faced by Keyleth and the vengeful path of Percy. Sebby joins us in our enthusiastic speculation about the show's potential future, including the possibility of a movie adaptation that would undoubtedly leave fans eager for more. Tune in to hear why we rate this season a perfect 10 out of 10 and why the anticipation for season four is already building.Text us for feedback and recommendations for future episodes!Support the showWe thank everyone for listening to our podcast! Nobody move! There's blood on the floor. And yr grls can't find their hearts. Thanks to whispered romance classic- "To Have and To Hold" by Patricia Gaffney. Sebastian has everyone's fave romance hero first name and a brand new estate in an idyllic country town. Total snoozefest, but then most things are to Sebby. That is, until a captivating former-con with (gasp) SHORT hair named Rachel captures his fancy AND his rather horrid whimsy. Will these two be one another's reckoning in a good way or a bad way? Are historical romances actually written about three times - the setting, the publication year, and the time it is read in? How can a text deconstruct while bolstering conservative sexual politic? CAN "the help" consent???

I was scrolling on instagram recently and came across a video of a Asphalt Maintenance Contractor stating something that, although I knew in the back of my mind, was a great reminder and needed to be said on the side of being Re-Freshed. He was stating 3 ways they were separating themselves from the competition... and the 3rd one was their punctuality. Gerry Sebby with Asphalt Authority hit the nail on the head with it and why it is an advantage. I asked him to come on and talk about it. Hope you enjoy this conversation. -Marvin 28 CIRCLES BANTER EXCLUSIVE LINK: https://28circles.net/blacktop-banter-asphalt-app/

The family of a four-year-old boy who died at Wellington Hospital last month says more should have been done to prevent his death. Initial autopsy reports indicate Sebby Chua may have died from sepsis caused by tonsillitis and pharyngitis - his death is now before the coroner and the Health & Disability Commissioner. Meanwhile, his parents, Neil and Abegail Chua, are left wondering whether their son would still be alive if medical staff had acted with more urgency. Neil says Sebby was mis-diagnosed at Kenepuru Hospital on a Thursday, less than a week before his death. But by 11am on Monday, Sebby was admitted to Wellington Hospital with swollen arms. His family says no one took their concerns seriously until about 5.30pm, when he was rushed into a resuscitation room. By 7.30pm, Sebby was dead. The couple is leaving for the Philippines today with their younger son Sedric, and Sebby's ashes. The family moved here less than a year ago from Sydney. Now, relatives back home will never get the chance to meet Sebby. Meanwhile, baby Sedric doesn't know where his big brother has gone. In statement Te Whatu Ora Capital, Coast and Hutt Valley says it recognises how distressing it can be to lose a loved one in difficult circumstances, particularly a young child - but can't comment publicly while the case is being investigated. Sebby Chua's death is the second unexpected death in a hospital in a week and the third since June, where staffing pressures have been raised.

It's a US Hard Court Swing Special including chats with the following...MICHAEL RUSSELL ON TAYLOR FRITZ - 'It's managing the ups and downs and not getting too high or too low. Taylor won Indian Wells which was incredible the way he played so well and it's understanding that this is your level, that you do belong as a top ten player and you can be there and compete for Grand Slam titles and at the same time not get complacent and expect yourself to play at this level all the time'.DEAN GOLDFINE ON SEB KORDA - ‘What you're seeing more of now is guys like Sebby, guys like Sascha, guys like Daniil, obviously Tsitsipas is another one that are that big that move that well and you see that happening now in tennis and really in all athletics, it's bigger, stronger, faster'.MARCOS GIRON ON HIS MINDSET - ‘I was losing a lot of close matches a few years ago and then I went and played in Los Cabos against Del Potro who was top 5 in the world and I was serving for the first set and it's all of a sudden the realisation that it's not really the tennis that's holding me back and then after that I went and lost pre-qualifying on Challengers and it's like, you got to re-adjust and figure it out, because it's not just about the game'.NICK MONROE ON FRANCES TIAFOE - ‘Playing doubles improves your singles and we saw that last year with Frances when we played a lot of doubles together, it really improved his singles ranking and he would talk about it a lot, how he felt more comfortable moving forward, coming to the net, serving and volleying and it's just a lot of fun playing with the younger generation as they have so much energy'.BRAD STINE ON TOMMY PAUL - ‘When we started in 2019 just after the US Open, Tommy was pretty loosey-goosey in his preparation and everything else. At the same time he was already transitioning to be more professional, but at the same time it was important for me to recognise that I didn't want to take the fun out of what Tommy was doing. He's made progress through the rankings, he's just naturally become more focussed and he has high expectations on where he wants to be'.JOSEPH GILBERT ON JENSON BROOKSBY'S COMPETITIVENESS - 'There's always things he could do to win, so that competitive nature between us is why it's edgy out all there all the time and he shows his emotions out there, he brings them towards me quite a bit but in a positive way and frustrated way, but I'm comfortable with it and the advantage we have from being together for over 13 years is that we're comfortable being uncomfortable'.PLUS ATP UNCOVERED'S FEATURE WITH JENSON BROOKSBY AND WHAT IN HIS TRAVEL BAG- Podcast presented by Brian Clark- Interviews by Jill Craybas, Candy Reid, Anne-Marie Batson, Seb Lauzier & Chris Bowers- Jenson Brooksby Feature by ATP Uncovered
