Who do the guys think will have the greatest Year to Year improvement? We cover it all on season 3, episode 3, of the Loaded Basis Podcast
Joe Rizzo & "The Dawg" Jeff Healy joined up for an in-person show at Studio RB as Diamond Diehards continued to roll with hard-hitting content. Riz & Dawg talked about how the Yankees & Mets hit the first big milestone of the MLB season, Memorial Day, in first place. It's just the second time that's ever happened, so they celebrated it by doing their second-ever in-person episode. With the help of Producer Xavier Rizzo, the guys broke down how the Yanks and Mets got to their coveted spots, what they need to do to maintain first place, and what they must watch out for. The guys talked A LOT about old-school baseball, from fundamentals and putting balls in play, to how that great part of the sport is not captured correctly by analytics. The names Kirby Puckett and Frank Thomas were bandied about. Riz & Dawg explained some of the things they think makes the game great. We opened with Veteran of the Day, closed with Diehard Dads, and you won't want to miss anything in between. There are a lot of podcasts out there. What's special about us? THIS. Jerry is here for his first update of the morning. The Yankees beat the Orioles again thanks to two Aaron Judge HRs. The Mets split their double header thanks to a few mistakes in game 2. Lindor struck out to end the game with two on. Nathan Eovaldi gave up 5 HRs in one inning. Not ideal. Jerry goes around the NBA from last night's playoff games. Kevin Durant will be a guest on David Letterman's Netflix interview series. Jerry goes around the NHL from last night's playoff games
Joe Rizzo and “The Dawg” Jeff Healy bring you baseball on a Monday Night Live program. Riz & The Dawg talked about the near-no-hitter by the Yankees' Nestor Cortes, the Yanks and Mets having reached 20 wins faster than any other MLB teams, the Mets' combined no-hitter, the Dodgers' quiet rise to MLB's best record and the league leaders as we move into the middle of May. We also have you covered with Veteran of the Day and a very, very special closing segment of Diehard Dads that you cannot miss, in which Dawg remembered his late father.
