C-Lo's update covers the Braves beating the Mets, Lindor's urgency, Mendoza sounding like Boone, Keith Hernandez's comments, Udonis Haslem's gaffe, the Mets losing Sal Licata, and Darryl Strawberry's reaction to Pete Alonso's "down goes Straw" HR ball. The Abdul Carter hype is real and the Giants will have better QB play. Keith also believes Aaron Glenn is a massive upgrade at HC for the Jets. He thinks the teams will surprise us this season.

They discussed Pete Alonso becoming the Mets' new home run king and a "get right" night for both the Mets and Yankees. They also touched on Clay Holmes' struggles and the Mets' starting pitching concerns. C-Lo's update highlighted Alonso's historic homer. C-Mac and Keith also discussed Gary Cohen's call of the home run and Francisco Lindor's key bunt. We start the hour on a positive note as the Giants and Jets had strong starts to the preseason. Willie likes what he saw from the Jets and tells C-Mac what Aaron Glenn will need to do to be successful in year one. Willie says having starters play preseason games can lead to better results in the first few weeks of the season.
The hour began with a discussion of Shedeur Sanders' strong preseason debut, noting that Giants and Jets fans would be concerned if he became a good NFL QB, as both teams passed on him. Neither local team's most important player is their QB, and the Giants, though not necessarily good, can't be awful. C-Lo provided an update after C-Mac shared stories about his wife's job, their dating history, and a failed gift. Roger Clemens informed Dave Sims and Suzyn Waldman of Mariano Rivera's Achilles injury at Old Timers' Day, leading to a segment on the Yankees needing an attitude adjustment. Willie believes Aaron Glenn is gaining his players' trust. The Moment of The Day featured C-Mac's Oktoberfest attire. In the final segment, C-Mac admitted to betting against the Yankees for the past six games due to emotional hedging, which Willie called him a loser for. C-Mac also shared Willie's fondness for Buc-ee's.
We start with the NFL as Jerry watched some mic'd up Jameis Winston. We also talked about coaches playing more starters in the pre-season this year because of how teams have gotten out to bad starts in the regular season if they don't. Jerry likes what he sees from Aaron Glenn so far, he has total control over the team.
Jerry and Willie Colon fill in for Boomer & Gio. They discuss the NFL, including Jameis Winston's mic'd-up performance, increased preseason starter play, and Aaron Glenn's control. C-Lo's update covers Aaron Glenn's starter decision, Anthony Richardson's pinky injury, Joe Burrow's "average" 9-of-10 night, and Arch Manning's NFL plans. Other topics include Sal Licata's Mets rant and sex toys thrown at WNBA games.
The hour began with a call suggesting Juan Soto is complacent. We then discussed the Jets and Giants, noting the Giants' stability with Daboll and Schoen versus the Jets' new coach and GM, predicting growing pains. The importance of preseason play for quarterbacks was highlighted. A caller expressed confidence in the Jets making the playoffs. C-Lo's update followed, preceded by Boomer's anecdote about seeing "mutants" outside the Aladdin theater. C-Lo reported the Yankees avoiding a sweep against the Rangers, David Bednar's 5-out save, Paul Goldschmidt's pinch-hit game-winning HR, and Juan Soto's ninth-inning homer for the Mets' only hit. Jane Slater and Jerry Jones debated the Micah Parsons situation. The hour concluded with a discussion about Eddie's retirement and Boomer's frequent inquiries about his own retirement.
We looked at the NFL teams with the worst odds to make it to the Super Bowl. The Jets and Giants are both 75-to-1 to win their conference.
We discussed NFL teams with the worst Super Bowl odds, including the Jets and Giants at 75-to-1 for their conference. Boomer believes a last-place team often goes to first in their division, possibly the Bears with Ben Johnson. We emphasized the importance of a dynamic quarterback like Josh Allen. The Jets and Giants' over/under for wins is 5 ½. Justin Fields faces a new offense, requiring a learning curve. Boomer predicts the Giants will win at least 6 games, expecting big things from their defense. Jerry gave an update after we talked about our Pebble Beach trip. The Yankees lost to the Rangers with key home runs given up by Devin Williams and Jake Bird. The Mets also lost to the Guardians due to Brett Baty's throwing error. Steve Somers had Jerry Seinfeld on his podcast and is releasing a book. The Kraken mascot was charged by a bear while fishing in Alaska. We concluded the hour discussing the documentary ‘Grizzly Man' and a caller's unsuccessful attempt to use bear spray on a goose.
Gio discusses preferring colder weather, mocking his past "get him here" catchphrase, and wanting the Jets to pursue Terry McLaurin if traded. Boomer is skeptical about the Jets signing an expensive veteran receiver. They debate Hard Knocks' focus on Damar Hamlin. Jerry's update covers Yankee's win and trades. They question MLB's afternoon trade deadline games, with players checking phones during a rain delay. David Stearns addresses Mets' playing time. Carlos Correa returns to the Astros. C-Mac and Big Zoo had a late-night talk. Jaxson Dart shares Zach Wilson lessons. A Jets fan rejects McLaurin, and a Giants fan notes Russell Wilson's impact on Gio. Nicky Cass and Gio discussed the Jets and Giants' tough NFL schedules and Acuna Jr's home run trots, plus a handwashing debate. Jerry reported another Mets loss (angering "Frank The Tank") and a Yankees loss despite an Aaron Judge homer. Netflix released 'Quarterback' and 'Poop Cruise' trailers. The hour ended with Gio's golf tournament nap and talk of caddies smoking weed.

With the NFL draft happening next week, Gio said there is no scenario where the Giants and Jets won't suck next year. On Justin Fields, Gio said, ‘He stinks. He can't throw the ball'. Gio doesn't think the Giants or the Jets will draft Shedeur Sanders.
Gio and Jerry filled in for a sick Boomer, discussing their health issues, including Jerry's penis camera scope story (with many 'penis' drops from Eddie). Gio predicted another bad year for the Giants and Jets in the upcoming NFL draft, stating Justin Fields "stinks" and neither team will draft Shedeur Sanders. C-Lo gave his first update, likely with hiccups. Dave Sims called Aaron Judge's homer as the Yankees swept the Royals and will play the Rays in their spring training home. The Jets and Giants have pursued low-profile free agents, while Aaron Glenn is expected to boost the Jets' competitiveness. The Giants' draft strategy and quarterback options were discussed, highlighting their lack of 2021 draft picks still on the team. C-Lo provided sports updates, including the Rangers' loss, the Nets' defeat, and the NCAA tournament's commencement, with Boomer inquiring about potential tournament upsets. The segment concluded with a discussion about a Barstool podcast addressing surprisingly offensive terms to women.
At the NFL combine, Jets' GM Mougey's hand gestures were a media focus. While Evan Roberts wanted Rodgers updates, Boomer understood the focus on current players. Aaron' Glenn appeared Parcells-like, annoyed by QB questions. Combine highlights included Mougey on Rodgers rumors, Glenn on winning now, Schoen's open roster approach, and draft QB talk. Other topics: Bengals' Chase/Higgins, Kelce's future, Doncic's Mavs return, Rangers' win, and the tush-push controversy. Gio also shared a story about a water skiing squirrel, and his own clogged ear.
Jerry starts with the sounds of Mougey talking about Aaron Rodgers rumors, of which he will confirm or deny. Glenn also talked about winning now and not being in a rebuild. Joe Schoen is open to everything when it comes to building up the roster. He also talked about the quarterbacks in the draft. The Bengals seem close to signing Ja'Marr Chase and they also talked about keeping Tee Higgins. Andy Reid talked about Travis Kelce's future. The Chiefs GM said Kelce was ill before the Super Bowl.
(HOUR 1): Keith gives his reaction to the comments from Giants GM Joe Schoen, Jets GM Darren Mougey & HC Aaron Glenn.
NFL combine is taking place this week. Of course the Giants and Jets are both on the lookout for QB's, but where will they find their next starter?

The NY Jets are having a press conference today to introduce Aaron Glenn and Darren Mougey. We also talked about the draft and the Giants taking Shedeur Sanders and how that will work with Brian Daboll. We also talked about the NFL free agents that will be available. Jerry returned for his final update of the day, and he started with the Chiefs beating the Bills as we heard Kevin Harlan on the call. Dave Portnoy, like others, were not happy with the spot on a fourth down Josh Allen run. Jerry has audio of a Bills fan who needed the Bills to be there for him and they weren't. We heard Eagles radio as Saquon Barkley scored a 60 yard TD on his first touch of the game. Jayden Daniels and Zach Ertz reacted to the loss. Gio thinks the Lions look worse now that they got beat so bad by the Commanders. Carlos Mendoza is hoping Jose Iglesias comes back to the Mets, but they are likely moving on. The Moment of The Day: Makeup artist, Aly, got engaged, but didn't tell Boomer. In the final segment of the week, the Chiefs have become so good that people are starting to hate them like the Bulls, Warriors and Patriots. America wanted the Bills and the Lions, and got neither.
What's the latest on the Jets and their search for a new GM and head coach? Adam Schefter stops by to fill us in. And how much danger were Joe Schoen and Brian Daboll ever in of losing their jobs? Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices
Let's look at the spreads for Wild Card Weekend. Al is rooting against the Bills now because Josh Allen took one snap in order to keep his starting streak alive. We talked about the MVP race between Allen and Lamar Jackson. Nobody in the NFL has ever had a season like Lamar had this year. Jerry returns for an update and starts with the sounds of the Jets beating the Dolphins as Rodgers threw his 500th TD. Rodgers was asked about retiring and talked about his time here. Woody Johnson talked about this terrible season but was excited to get a win in the last game of the year. Mike McDaniel explained why Tyreek Hill wasn't available. Sounds like he took himself out of the game. Brian Daboll talked about the season and his plans to talk to the front office after the season. We heard from a fired up Dan Campbell after the Lions beat the Vikings. Todd Bowles talked about the season the Bucs had as they head into the playoffs. Jerry Jones continues to say nice things about Mike McCarthy. Bo Nix had a strong performance as the Broncos dominated the second string Chiefs. In the final segment of the hour, the Jets cannot hire another first time head coach like they have in the past. There is something different about the Jets. It will not ever work. You need an experienced head coach. Rex Ryan is interviewing with them tomorrow.
The Jets and Giants seasons are finally over. If it was Aaron Rodgers' last game, he went out with a bang including throwing his 500th TD. The Patriots fired Jerod Mayo and Mike Vrabel is likely getting that job. We talked about Aaron Glenn as a potential for the Jets. Sam Darnold had a great year but did not look so good last night in their loss to the Lions. He was only 18-of-41. Boomer thought Brian Daboll coached like a guy that was pretty sure he's coming back. Jerry is here for his first update of the day and starts with the sounds of the Jets beating the Dolphins. Tyler Conklin caught Rodgers' 500th TD. Rodgers was asked if he was coming back and said ‘truthfully, I don't know'. Tyreek Hill said, ‘I'm out bro'. Brian Daboll talked about his future after the game. Mike McCarthy was asked what value he brings and he said, ‘I'm a winner'. In the final segment of the hour, there was talk yesterday about teams wanting to trade for Kevin O'Connell and Mike Tomlin. Boomer thinks the 2 losses that killed the Jets were their loss to Denver and then Minnesota in London. Gio doesn't think Rodgers is coming back. He's the representative of this giant failure.
(SHOW OPEN): Keith opens his Friday evening show by talking about the Jets and Giants season's ending this weekend.
Shaun and Tiki talk with Joe B about the Jets brutal loss to the Bills, the Giants brutal(?) win against the Colts and an update on Mets free agency.
Jerry and CLo are here for the final Football Friday of the 2024 calendar year. Once again the locals are playing meaningless games. The Jets need to hire a GM and HC while the Giants could be looking for their next QB if they are able to lock down the first overall pick. Jerry and CLo think Deion Sanders and everything he knows makes his son Shedeur a more enticing prospect, not less. Pat Shurmur is Sanders' offensive coordinator at Colorado. Is his influence a negative for Giants fans? Since the Giants could have the top pick and their choice of a QB it's much easier to see how they can climb back to relevancy than how the Jets can pull it off. Pat Boyle is here for his first update of the day and begins with the Bears win over the Seahawks in a 6-3 snoozefest on Thursday night. The Nets are winning too many games for a team that is supposed to be tanking. Rutgers blew a big 4th quarter lead in the Rate Bowl in Arizona last night. Deion Sanders told his Colorado players he better not smell any smoke in the team hotel or it will be their last puff. In the final segment of the hour, Jerry and CLo says it's still hard to comprehend just how badly this season went for the Jets.
Jerry is joined by Willie Colon for this Christmas Eve show and Willie says Jerry's Grinch shirt is very on-brand. The NFC North has three of the best teams in football and Jerry is ready for lesser teams who win worse divisions to stop being rewarded over better teams who don't win stronger divisions. Willie thinks the Commanders are a team to watch out for in the playoffs. Willie is happy that a beleaguered fanbase now has their guy in Jayden Daniels. Jerry says watching good teams is a reminder of how far away the Giants and Jets are. The guys discuss the Jets issues and Willie says the team has too much talent to be as bad as they are and many problems that go beyond Aaron Rodgers. CLo is here for his first update of the day but first we learn Willie is not a big Christmas guy. CLo says because of work he is not able to celebrate as much as he would like to. Willie's wife told him they aren't doing gifts this year but something is telling him to have one ready to give. The Knicks beat the Raptors last night and Jerry says the Knicks feel like the Yankees - they're fine, let's check in on them in the playoffs. Willie is loving the Knicks and Jerry finds himself liking them even as a Nets fan. The Packers easily handled the Saints on Monday Night Football. Aaron Rodgers joked about being released by a teenager on The Pat McAfee Show. The Devils blew the Rangers out. In the final segment of the hour, callers share gift ideas for Willie and Jerry expands on his love of Walgreens. Willie thinks Jerry is an enigma.

Jerry is here for his first update of the day and starts with the sounds of Davante Adams having a great second half as the Jets beat the Jags. Lamar Jackson threw 5 TDs to beat the Giants. The Bills beat the Lions and Josh Allen made it look easy. The Eagles beat the Steelers and Boomer said they are the most balanced team.
Who will coach the Jets in 2025? Will it be Mike Vrabel? And will Brian Daboll be back with the Giants next year? Also, we make our Week 15 NFL picks & Plays of the Week from Ray. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices
The Giants lost again at home and someone flew a plane over the stadium with a message for John Mara to ‘fix this dumpster fire'. Boomer said if you want to get the Giants fan back, you have to bring Bill Belichick in. Gio said, to do that, the Giants will have to be in a position to draft a QB Belichick likes. Jerry returns for his final update of the day and starts with audio surrounding the Mets reaching an agreement with Juan Soto. Evan, Sal, Hof and Positive Tommy were taping a Rico Brogna podcast when the news broke. Actor Nick Turturro is angry at Soto for going to the Mets instead of the Yankees. Mike Francesa talked about the Mets outbidding the Yankees ‘when donkeys would fly'. Shaun Morash didn't think it was happening and a part of his Yankee fandom died. The Jets lost again, this time in OT to the Dolphins. Jerry has audio from the postgame. The Giants also lost again, this time to the Saints on a blocked FG that would have sent the game into OT. The Moment of The Day: Boomer has a strange reference about Gio's daughter when talking about Soto's contract. In the final segment of the show, the Mets have to keep getting guys just like the Dodgers did and continue to do. We played ‘guess the spread' for Week 15 in the NFL. The Ravens are favored by 14.5 over the Giants. Jets are a road favorite in Jacksonville by 3.5.
