Thanks-Grisham Month comes to an end with a spirited discussion on Runaway Jury
John Grisham is no stranger to success, having written 50 consecutive number one best sellers. When he's not writing, he works for the Innocence Project and Centurion Ministries, helping get innocent people released from prison. A majority of his work are legal thrillers, but this time he's taking a step into a realm he's less familiar with: nonfiction. ‘Framed' is Grisham's second nonfiction book, detailing the true accounts of ten people who were wrongfully convicted. He told Mike Hosking that he and Centurion Ministries founder Jim McCloskey have been considering writing this book for a number of years. “The stories are so, they're so terrible, but they're also very compelling, and really gripping stories.” Grisham says that he's trying to make a change with this novel, and raise awareness for the issues within the criminal justice system in the United States. “Trying to raise awareness, trying to raise a few bucks for the innocents, for advocates in the country,” he said. “There's a purpose behind it.” LISTEN ABOVE See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
The Rich Zeoli Show- Full Episode (11/21/2024): 3:05pm- On Thursday, former Congressman Matt Gaetz announced he is withdrawing as Donald Trump's nominee to serve as U.S. Attorney General. According to reports, Gaetz concluded he had no pathway towards confirmation after meeting with Senators earlier in the week and determining that at least four—Susan Collins, Lisa Murkowski, Mitch McConnell, and John Curtis—would not support him. Republicans will hold a 53 to 47 advantage in the Senate, consequently cabinet nominees cannot afford to lose the support of more than four Republicans. 3:30pm- Dr. Martin Kulldorff—An Epidemiologist, Biostatistician, and a Founding Fellow at Hillsdale College's Academy for Science and Freedom—joins The Rich Zeoli Show to discuss his latest article for The Federalist, “RFK Is Right—Let's Study Vaccine Risk Factors.” Dr. Kulldorff emphasizes his support and belief in vaccines but writes America cannot “abandoned evidence-based medicine.” He continues: “Scientists are tasked with both developing and evaluating drugs and vaccines, and it is important to separate these two important roles. Scientists evaluating drug and vaccine safety should not take money from pharmaceutical companies.” Dr. Kulldorff is a former Professor of Medicine at Harvard University and was a co-author of the Great Barrington Declaration. You can read the full article here: https://thefederalist.com/2024/11/19/world-renowned-vaccine-scientist-rfk-is-right-lets-study-vaccine-risk-factors/ 3:45pm- While speaking with U.S. Senators on Capitol Hill, Pete Hegseth—Donald Trump's nominee to serve as Secretary of Defense—denied newly resurfaced sexual assault allegations. The encounter allegedly occurred seven years ago, and Hegseth was never charged with any crime. 3:50pm- With Matt Gaetz withdrawing as Donald Trump's nominee to serve as U.S. Attorney General, who might Trump pick next? Senator Mike Lee? Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton? 4:05pm- Congressman Jeff Van Drew—United States Representative for New Jersey's 2nd Congressional District—joins The Rich Zeoli Show and reacts to Donald Trump's impressive Election Day performance in New Jersey. Plus, Rep. Van Drew expresses his frustrations with President Joe Biden—explaining he's “escalating” the war between Ukraine and Russia. 4:30pm- On her SiriusXM show, former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley raised concerns about Donald Trump's appointments of Tulsi Gabbard to Director of National Intelligence and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to Secretary of Health and Human Services. 5:05pm- For the first time, Ukraine used long-range missiles to attack Russian territory earlier this week. In response, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a revision in policy, signing a doctrine ultimately lowering the threshold for a nuclear strike—and on Thursday, Russia struck a military facility in Dnipro, Ukraine with an intercontinental ballistic missile. According to Putin, the ICBM reached speeds 10x the speed of sound—and he bragged that modern defense systems are incapable of intercepting these specific missiles. 5:20pm- Congresswoman Nancy Mace has introduced a resolution that would prevent biological males from using women's restrooms in the U.S. Capitol. 5:25pm- The show has been a little heavy today…so, Rich decides to lighten the mood by playing audio of his favorite Donald Trump supporter: Trump De Dump Dump Dump! 5:30pm- Speaking with Jen Psaki on MSNBC, New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham said she will not cooperate with Donald Trump's Administration or the federal government when it comes to the deportation of undocumented migrants. He notes that in the 2014 Noel Canning case, Justices John Roberts, Clarence Thomas, and Sam Alito all opposed recess appointments. This week we're are joined in studio by Dr. Blake Grisham of Texas Tech and Courtenay Conring, a hardworking young biologist. These two and others have been working a long term research project on Sandhill Cranes. It's a very interesting discussion and we learned so much. Most people don't understand the various populations of cranes, their migration, pair bonding, parenting skills and how long lived they are. We did know that they are referred to as “ribeye in the sky” and it was confirmed they are in fact delicious. We also learned just how much fun they are to hunt and we were surprised to learn just how wary they are. Sandhill Cranes have a beautiful throaty call and once you have heard one it's easy to recognize. We are proud to know these researchers are helping other state agencies understand these wild birds to better manage them. Listen, Learn and Enjoy. After being a Trump loyalist for years, Including serving as his Press Secretary and describing herself as a de facto Trump family member, Stephanie Grisham addressed the Democratic National Convention and said:"I saw him (Trump) when the cameras were off. Behind closed doors, Trump mocks his supporters, he calls them basement dwellers. On a hospital visit one time when people were dying in the ICU, he was mad that the cameras were not watching him. He has no empathy, no morals, and no fidelity to the truth. He used to tell me, it doesn't matter what you say Stephanie. Say it enough, and people will believe you."Glenn reviews Stephanie Grisham's opinions of Trump based on her first-hand experience with him over more than five years, and spending a lot of time watching Trump "behind closed doors."Grisham took to the stage at the Democratic National Convention and endorsed Kamala Harris for president. If you're interested in supporting our all-volunteer efforts, you can become a Team Justice patron at: / glennkirschner If you'd like to support us and buy Team Justice and Justice Matters merchandise visit:https://shop.spreadshirt.com/glennkir...Check out Glenn's website at https://glennkirschner.com/Follow Glenn on:Threads: https://www.threads.net/glennkirschner2Twitter: https://www.twitter.com/glennkirschner2Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/glennkirschner2Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/glennkirsch...See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

We continue with the uncut audio from the recent sit-downs with Clemson's football assistants. Tyler Grisham prepares for his fifth season in charge of Clemson's receivers after taking over for Jeff Scott in 2020. He sees big things out of this group if the receivers can stay healthy, something that's been a major obstacle in recent years. Mike Reed discusses replacing Nate Wiggins after a spectacular 2023 season from the cornerback. Avieon Terrell is expected to be an elite presence sooner rather than later as he enters his sophomore season. Jeadyn Lukus and Shelton Lewis could be in a fierce competition for the starting spot on the other side. And newcomers Tavoy Feagin and Corian Gipson are considered fast risers also. Reed has been at Clemson for 11 seasons. This past offseason he was in the mix to become head coach at his alma mater, Boston College, but the Eagles ended up hiring Bill O'Brien from Ohio State. Clemson begins August camp Thursday and opens the season Aug. 31 against Georgia in Atlanta.

Frankie Borrelli and Trent Ryan from Barstool Sports' Fore Play golf join us in studio. We all played together and the video was just posted to the Fore Play YouTube channel and Twitter. Jerry returns for an update and starts with the Mets beating the Nationals as the bullpen actually came through. The Yankees beat the Rays thanks mostly to Trent Grisham. Chris Russo has a list of things he doesn't like about Summer. In the final segment of the hour, we talked about some of the clothing the Fore Play golf guys brought us and it got Boomer talking about Jerry's yellow shirt.
Both the Mets and Yankees won yesterday. The Yankees actually stole a base and the Mets bullpen didn't implode. We golfed yesterday in the sweltering heat in north Jersey. It took Gio 2 hours and 45 minutes to get home. Boomer, Gio and friends are all bringing their little kids and grandkids to the Mets game today. We talked about adults taking balls at games that were meant for kids. Jerry is here for his first update of the day and starts with the Mets win over the Nationals. Jose Iglesias had a great game and Brandon Nimmo hit a HR in his third straight game. Ron Darling did not like Luis Severino not backing up the catcher on a play to the plate. The Yankees won thanks to the bat and the glove of Trent Grisham. Players went into the stands in Charlotte to fight fans after a Copa America match. In the final segment of the hour, Bill Belichick is living his best life now that he's not in football. We also talked about Belichick not getting the Falcons job and if Robert Kraft had something to do with that.
