There are mini moments of trust that you are given daily that are a BIG deal. Because whether it is for your own ability to trust yourself, or for someone else to trust you with their business, you need to come through in little moments so that you can be trusted with more!
We're going to go through down periods. What I want you to stop doing is to go through these down periods autonomously. If you can drive 3 hours and barely remember any of it, you're capable of spending 3 hours autonomously in a negative state that can impact your day.
Frustration, sadness, disappointment, etc can leave you in a rut and leave you open to COMPOUNDING mistakes, or having a hard time moving on. The past belongs in the past. One moment of tough emotion can derail an entire day, week, month, or year even sometimes. I know how that feels from athletics, and from my own life when I make mistakes and have a difficult time MOVING ON. Here are some thoughts.
Good conversation recorded live on Clubhouse today. I tell a story about how we as humans need to be seen by those who we failed around, and how we cannot selectively numb. So we're missing a large part of our talent because we shut off a part of our feelings we didn't want to feel anymore,

Number one we need to catch ourselves when we are being fans of others vs appreciating what they can do and know we can do that ourselves. Number two be aware of your word choice you use with yourself, we make situations worse with our diction. Number 3 make yourself proud everyday and do extra reps. Be aware of your mind telling you that you’re tired and it’s time to stop when it’s not. And number 4 you’ve always been there for you. In the celebrations and the pep talks. Be aware that we are our greatest ally ❤️
Tommy is an awesome guest and has become a friend of mine through the social media world. I I am particularly proud of this episode because I met DaLynn when she didn’t have as much believe in herself as a complete badass, and someone who could be her own boss make double the money that she used to and have the free time to chase her real desires and her real true joy. And there is nothing like hearing somebody that is completely joyful and all of the choices that they have made. You will really enjoy this, and as I will see below as well I will spell check this because this is a voice recording LOL. Much love.will add more to this, including an intro once I get a chance to pull over from my long drive from California back to Oregon. As always it’s been so great to hear the reviews and I’m so proud of each and everyone of you and honored just that you trust me with my advice and your entertainment. This episode was completely spontaneous and brought on by a theory that we found so much in our society and have resting worry on our faces that it is actually more strange to see somebody smiling to the point where we need facelifts when we are older because our faces have drooped in the sadness. I honestly want you to do this today, I want you to keep track of the number of people that you see smiling without saying anything or who are not in conversation. So someone who is just walking around on their phone or looking for something or whatever they’re doing I want you to see how many people are actually smiling. Also to answer the question it was eight new followers in the 15 minute talk. You will understand this after the episode. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
What a valuable episode this turned out to be, I actually reached out to this athlete after we worked one on one and asked permission to put this as a leverage series because of how valuable I thought it would be for her not only athletes but for so many others. We cannot watch highlight reels of others lives in sports in on Facebook. There are those who struggle to stay in the present moment because of what they say. Make sure you are constantly monitoring what you say out loud and you will see how that will affect your life and what you’re paying attention to. Because whether it is the past or the present, both need to be forgotten and left where they are..! the present moment is the only place where we can succeed and Foster our own growth... also we need to learn how to voice our desires without being a jackass. And that is also something we cover... So thankful for all of the messages from episode one and episode two it means so much to hear from some of you that I haven’t heard from in years and others that I’ve never even had the pleasure of meeting, but just know that even if I’ve never met you you are still welcome to text me or DM me personally on Instagram and just say hello I respond to absolutely everybody and I just love making a community and being a support pillar for other people because I didn’t necessarily have one --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app

This is important not just for athletes but for anyone. When you have expectations about an upcoming task it takes you out of that moment you are currently in. And missing. Don’t miss out on lunch, don’t miss out on that phone call with a friend. Don’t miss out because you are already on the court. Yes take the time to meditate and visualize, but after that. BE IN THE MOMENT ALL DAY. That’s your goal. And if you aren’t. You need to plan your day so that you care more about each moment. That tells me you aren’t challenging yourself enough throughout the day if you’ve spent 8 hours worrying about an upcoming event. Then damn, those last 8 hours were pretty boring... add some spice to your life. Second, you are YOU!!!! Just because a veteran that you look up to can walk in and take 4 shots and be ready to go, doesn’t mean you can. On the flip side just because Steve shits his pants before games and takes a yoga class and puts up 500 shots doesn’t mean you have to do that. You are you. Don’t be hard if you aren’t hard, be nerdy if you’re nerdy, listen to classical music if that’s what you like. Be you. And then text me and say JEREMY, I WAS MYSELF TODAY. As I said last episode have more and more reps be MENTAL REPS. Where something is on the line. And have a GO TO MOVE. Something that will make you comfortable. Trust me it will. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app

I mean this with all my heart. You have to see a spade as a spade and stay away from negative people. And I mean stay the Fuck away from them. I had a rough couple days and could not figure out why, until I realized that I was sheltering my own energy and excitement trying to be “polite” towards someone else who is a walking negative zombie

I cannot stress the importance of this episode. It’s the reason why I’ve gotten EVERY JOB I’ve ever got. It’s the reason I’ve gotten raises, gone overseas for basketball, been connected to important trainers, been fulfilled to tears because someone was thankful, and is the reason why I get to live the life I’ve ALWAYS WANTED TO LIVE. We become unconscious about our negative focus throughout the day, even if you’re a positive person overall, if you use words like “overwhelmed,” or “stupid,” or “anxiety,” you don’t realize the physical damage you are doing to your body from the build up of negative stress. There’s an exercise in this podcast that is very beneficial that I did 3 years ago, and again last night. And boy I was surprised at words that I don’t even use anymore. Very very important. Hello from Lemvig Denmark!
We’ve been programmed for so many years based off of our parents and main role models. Just because salesman was a bad slimy yucky term in my house, it made me think less of them growing up. It made me think that money was evil.... well after I learned that I can do good with my money too, hear a story about me selling a waffle maker for 52$ that I got for 2$ from happy Gilmore’s grandma. And then I told work on Monday “GET, ME, OUTTA, HERE!” And they said “Here! Eat this! LEAVE US ALONE.” (More happy Gilmore quotes...) anyways I found freedom of choice from an open mind. Enjoy, like, share or do whatever I don’t really care. :) --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
Don’t miss out on opportunities today because you’re going through the motions looking forward to something else. If you’re aware of it, and make connections, you can have moments today that will shape the rest of your life. You might meet your best friend you didn’t even know. Also in the episode, you’re fucking human. Stop allowing yourself to be labeled. If my son came up to me and said dad some kid at last nights game said he had anxiety, what does that mean?? I would respond, it’s that feeling we talked about right before you do something important. Those little butterflies bud. We just call that “priming” in this house. Your body is preparing itself going through checks like an airplane pilot making sure you’re ready. The more practice you do. The less checks it feels like it needs to make. “Yeah dad but he says it makes him have to poop.” Well son his check system said that pizza and chocolate milk he had needs to go before this game starts. Don’t worry about it pal. When you’re excited and turned on, others see that as a negative. It’s really a positive because you’re trying to do something great. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
When doing a new Leverage I’ll spend the majority of the time asking questions to get to know the guest until I have a grasp on where the pressure points are. So I don’t start giving advice until later in the podcast.... Have you ever felt stretched thin? Maybe felt like you aren’t that great at saying no? A lot of times when you are accepting a lesser role than you deserve, it’s because you don’t have enough love for yourself to stand up and say something. And if that’s not it, it’s self doubt. When you take a stand and say, “no I’m ready for a bigger role,” you have to back it up with work. And the pressure you put on yourself, is GOOD PRESSURE. Don’t be fooled. We can’t expect to go through life and have something handed to us because we are good people. You GOTTA ASK FOR IT. And let them know, “YOU JUST MADE ONE OF THE BEST DECISIONS.” I’ve never not succeeded and I won’t let you down. Then go work and back that shit up. You’re a star, you’re meant to be a star. So many of us in this arena of life are learned extroverts with the same anxieties and worries as everyone else. We just had Role Models that were more outgoing and had better social skills. And very important! We’ve just developed love for ourselves where we can stand proudly in who we are. When you learn how to state who you are and why you love being someone who gets to know people individually or why you love nerdy things like myself or what ever. two things happen. First, there are no expectations for you to be in the middle of the group being loud, or being anyone you don’t want to be. second, you tell people without saying “this is who I am, take it or leave it, but I love it” there is nothing anyone can say at that point. Age is not a countdown, there are people that are in their 60s that look and act like they’re 30, and vice versa. It’s never too late to start something or try something. Because if it’s on your mind now? Think about how much it will be in 15 years if you never tried it... also we only know that we get “older and fatter” and blah blah bullshit because of our elders in our family and teachers etc... If you’re 35 and you’ve never met another 35 year old in your life, you would have no idea what you were SUPPOSED TO look and feel like.
