About The Guest(s): Sean Hardeman is the founder of Ball Hard Basketball, a training facility in Austin, Texas. He has over 15 years of experience in training basketball players and has worked with numerous athletes who have gone on to play at the collegiate level. Summary: Sean Hardeman discusses the changing landscape of college basketball recruiting and offers advice for athletes and parents navigating the process. He emphasizes the importance of doing research, asking questions, and finding the right fit for each individual player. Sean also shares insights into his own journey as a trainer and the growth of his business, Ball Hard Basketball. Key Takeaways: The transfer portal has changed the recruiting game, and athletes need to be accountable for their decisions. It's important for athletes to visit colleges, attend practices, and ask questions to get a better understanding of the program and coaching staff. Juco can be a great option for athletes who need more development or want to improve their skills before transferring to a four-year school. Parents should focus on the value of a free education and encourage their children to make the most of their college experience. It's crucial for athletes to have a strong mentality and be mentally tough in order to succeed at the college level. Quotes: "If you can hoop, you best believe somebody going to find you because all you need is somebody lay eyes on me." - Sean Hardeman "If you want to see what college practices look like, all you have to do is just get in contact." - Sean Hardeman "Parents should focus on the value of a free education and encourage their children to make the most of their college experience." - Sean Hardeman "It's crucial for athletes to have a strong mentality and be mentally tough in order to succeed at the college level." - Sean Hardeman Sean on IG: ballhardbball Ashley on IG: _thisisashleyr Its Just Different Podcast on IG: itsjustdifferentpod --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/ashley-roberts24/message

Shawn Moye is the President of The Moye Group and the creator of the E-Sports Trainer. I've personally spent thousands of dollars to send my son to sports camps and on sports training aids with no way to tell if my money was well spent. Folge geteilt.

When initially approaching Leroy to hop on The Rant, I could hear his reluctance. His fears were allayed, soon as we pressed record. On it, he discusses his come up as a young man from Queens, his affinity for being great at everything he does, his first experience blowing the whistle, and how his old soul often competes to catch up with his young body. All that and more, my conversation with Leroy, now.

Quitting your job and going full-time is one of the most fun and scary things you can do. Changing jobs is literally one of the 6 most stressful events in life (marriage, divorce, new baby, death, and moving are the other five). So, what are a few things you need to keep in mind before making that leap? I talk about them VERY BRIEFLY in this episode. If you’d like more of a deep dive into what quitting your job to become a full-time trainer looks like, message me on IG @mysonjones. Trainer by trainer, Afiz found out that he had what it takes to be just as good as them, and got the rights to the name Way2Work and started getting Merch. In episode six of The Millennial Wayve I sit down with Basketball Trainer, Entrepreneur and Community Leader, Marcus Kirkland. As a young student athlete in high school, his chances of making it to a 4 year college on a scholarship was slim. With barley any playing time and an ego that held him back, he ended up at a local Community College where he couldn't make the team for 2 years straight. Despite his results, Marcus made the decision that he would make the college team and reach into his untapped potential. Because of that one decison, along with the help of coaches, players and his hard work of course, he recieved a scholarship to a 4 year college in Redding, CA. Within those couple of years Marcus was able to help lead the team to multiple wins and actually began to coach his own teamates on their request. But it didn't stop there; Once he finished with college there was a huge demand in Sacramento for his training. Marcus has now been able to build a notable basketball training organization founded on adversity and hustle. With so much more in store, he shares everything regarding making the team, having a vision and impacting the youth.
