Born and bred in the suburbs of Stockholm, Lakej (Filip Ström) comes from a background in visual arts and graphic design. After many years in this field and some life changing experiences, he felt the need to move on to a more abstract medium. Already being fascinated by electronic music and techno in particular, the dive into production and hardware came natural. With a huge love for details and rhythmic structures his music has evolved into an introspective, futuristic and yet timeless sound. With intricate textures, atmospheres and deep driving rhythms his music invites you to be swept away into hypnotic states, both in comfort of your own listening space as well as on the dance floor. After debuting on the scene in 2017 with a full length EP on Adriana Lopez label Grey Report, his output has been steady with albums, EP's and tracks for different VA releases and remixes on well established labels such as Semantica and NON series. Most resent is a full length double vinyl LP for Nachtstrom Schallplatten. Later this year an EP is planned for Argentinian label Ucker, some single tracks for different VA projects and some remixes.

English: As a producer, DJ and label head, Barcelona-based artist @adrianalopez is widely acclaimed as Colombia’s leading techno figure. Starting out in Bogota, where she cut her teeth holding down residencies at Club BarC, Cinema and La Sala whilst performing across her native country’s different cities, Adriana Lopez moved to Spain in 2003 where she quickly made a name for herself throughout Europe and beyond. With years of experience behind her, Lopez's deep understanding of techno is evident in her high quality and tastefulselections: mixing records with technical finesse that has led to appearances at the likes of DGTL Festival (Barcelona, Madrid), Village Underground (London), Faust and Vurt (Seoul), Lux Fragil (Lisbon), Vent (Tokyo), Mondo Disko (Madrid), Basement (New York), Berghain and Tresor (Berlin) and many more. Meanwhile, as a producer Lopez has released on Stroboscopic Artefacts, Modularz, Semantica, PoleGroup and Mistress Recordings, as well as remixed Svreca, Pär Grindvik and Spencer Parker on each label owner's respective imprints. Upon her arrival in Barcelona, she also launched her very own platform, Grey Report, which has gone on to release music by artists like Developer, NX1, Takaaki Itoh, Lakej, W.I.R.E. and Temudo & Nørbak. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Español: Con una polifacética carrera como DJ, productora y técnico de sonido, @adrianalopez se ha convertido en una de las artistas de techno con mayor proyección a nivel internacional y una pionera y figura clave de la escena electrónica de Colombia. You can see her playing at one of these upcoming events: April 21 at Kwartz club in Nice France, April 27 at Beit Maariv in Tel Aviv, May 1 at Cassette club in Madrid, May 5 at Berghain Berlin, May 12 at Circolino in Brescia Italy. So enjoy the mix and see you all next month www.polegroup.net www.facebook.com/polegroup www.twitter.com/PoleGroup
Devon made good on a Say Report promise which means you’ll get to listen to him gush over the Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy while Sejohn tries to remain enthusiastic. Luckily once we get past that Sejohn begins an examination of the television that is out there for consumption and that triggers the memory in Devon’s mind for 2006’s The Class, one of the best televise shows ever produced that no one watched or even heard about.
For Erratic Podcast 95 we are thrilled to present to you an outstanding contribution by one of Japan's most senior and leading techno figures, TAKAAKI ITOH. He's been honing his sound and style for close to two decades and running his own label, Owls, for the better part of this time. In 2012 he came out with an exceptional EP, Slicer/Spacer, taking the techno community by storm, followed with equally robust works across Planet Rhythm, Modularz, and Grey Report. Known for his fast, hard, and layered style of mixing, his contribution for us is a much deeper, highly cerebral, journey through the darker and introspective realms of his modern sound. Needles to say, we absolutely love it. And we are confident you will too. Here it goes folks, for the next hour this is Takaaki in mix. Sit back and enjoy! www.discogs.com/artist/7766-Takaaki-Itoh www.residentadvisor.net/dj/takaakiitoh www.twitter.com/TAKAAKI_ITOH - Erratic is comprised of a small team of passionate curators hosting proper Techno parties in New York City. www.ErraticNYC.com | www.fb.com/ErraticNYC
It's December and it's time for the last Analogue podcast of the year !! For this one we have something special for you. We are very happy to presnt you one of Japan's best Techno exports, Takaaki Itoh ! While you listen his exclusive 1 hr mix of 33 (!!!) tracks that he did for us, read some more info abt him... Bio: Takaaki was quickly impressed and intrigued by the new sound of Techno, that hit Japan hard in the early 1990s. It was something he had never heard before. In 1994 Takaaki began to organize his own techno parties in his home of northern Japan. By providing an interesting lineups, his parties quickly became a success. In 1996, having decided that it was time to start making his own tracks, Takaaki Itoh emerged to purchase the vital instruments to begin production. After sending out three finished projects to various labels, Majesty from US and Electracom from UK was fortunate enough to put Takaaki‘s first material out. This moment was something he will never forget, as he was finally able to hear his own music on vinyl. Several releases followed with Electracom as his tracks began to appear in magazine DJ charts in well known DJs from around the world. In 2000, Takaaki Itoh made his European DJ debut in Slovakia. People recognized his own style. Later he was becoming recognized as Japan's most underground and respected techno DJ. As of 2001 he was getting offers to perform at large clubs and festivals all over Europe, including Cosmic Trip and Svojsice in the Czech Republic, The Darkside in England, MTW in Germany, Awakenings and Reactor in Holland, Mayday and Sziget in Hungary, La Real and Code in Spain, U.Club and Boomerang in Slovakia, Projekt in Belgium, as well as events in Brasil, Columbia, Bosnia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Poland, Portugal, Serbia. Slovenia.. Takaaki Itoh took the next step and with Brano of Standa started his own label Wols.
