Lee Cole joins Hanle, standing in for Jan-Willem on #AfternoonDrive to chat about his latest release "Headrush".
Lee Cole'snew single "Headrush" explores the exhilaration of reliving memories with someone you love, with a higher-energy vibe that represents a departure from Cole's usual style. "I think in the process of writing this album, I've been inspired to step out of my comfort zone and to try styles, genres, and sounds I wouldn't normally experiment with. “Headrush” is one of those songs where I really extended my creativity in a different direction," he said. Despite this exploration, the song retains Cole's signature sound, a blend of pop with traces of R&B/Soul. Cole describes "Headrush" as a song that feels good and hopes fans will connect with its lightness and energy.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Send us a Text Message.Ever wondered how a podcast about airsoft could unfold when the host has never even played the game? That's exactly the curious scenario I found myself discussing with a recent Twitter connection who's also a newbie to the sport. As we exchanged stories, our conversation became a rich tapestry woven with personal anecdotes, from New Zealand roots and family's military past to the idiosyncrasies of airsoft culture around the globe. We laughed about the unexpected places personal narratives can take us and marveled at how a shared interest in storytelling can foster such surprising connections. Our chat ventured into the solemnity of Anzac Day remembrances and the revelry of Scottish heritage, bridging the gap between the profound and the playful. As a teacher in early childhood education, Dan shared the rewards and challenges of shaping young minds, while also reflecting on the deeper musings of faith and ideology. Our guest brought his fresh perspective, reminding us of the universal threads that connect our experiences, from the loss of childhood innocence to the camaraderie found in sports and beyond.Join us as we cap off the episode with a look at the symbiotic relationship between hobbies and life's grand adventures. We mused over how airsoft has its own rhythm akin to the strategy of soccer and the pulse of a live metal concert. Tales of travel escapades, from the dizzying heights of Dubai's towers to anticipated South African safaris, underscored the importance of soaking in diverse cultures. And for the airsoft aficionados, you'll appreciate our foray into the nitty-gritty of gear setups, reload techniques, and the shared anticipation for the next thrilling skirmish. So, pull up a chair and lend an ear; this conversation is one you won't want to miss.https://www.instagram.com/callsign_headrush/https://www.youtube.com/@HeadrushAirsoft Support the Show.Thank you everyone for the support. Emanuel started out as "Emanuel Nice" in December 1998. They kept that moniker until 2004 where they decided to drop the Nice but keep the full line up while updating their sound which would get them signed to Vagrant Records. They released their first album, Soundtrack to a Headrush, in March 2005 on Vagrant and toured extensively with bands like Jimmy Eat World, Thirty Seconds to Mars, Aiden, Keating, From Autumn To Ashes, The Bled, My American Heart, Lorene Drive, Moneen, The Audition and many more. I reconnected with Mr. Matthew Breen, got him on the Skype, and this is what we talked about, Starting the band off as Emanuel “Nice” The Louisville music scene Their song Make Tonight Brian’s bass sound on the record Getting courted by records labels How they signed to Vagrant Their crazy sponsorships How their record getting leaked fucked them Their tour with the Suicide Girls How big did Vagrant think they were going to be The band Recover Black Earth Tiger Getting over addiction And a ton more Check out my new book The Couples' Checklist for my webcomic dailyBred. Started the first podcast of 2021 with more details of that Russian hacking story; with officials saying that it was far more widespread than thought. Then it was on to the Green Beret shooting three dead in a random attack, Arkansas murder-suicide, more mask meltdowns, murder skyrocket in America's cities, and a guy in India died after his boss jammed an air compressor in his ass an shot air into his guts.
