PK Langley is back and she has a brand new podcast that is sure to interest you. On this episode, PK does an incredible spiritual reading for the majority of Fade to Gray. One of the hosts is scared out of his mind to get a public spiritual reading. The usual skeptic, Chris, is shocked at some of the details that PK picks up on. We've never been more quiet as we couldn't find the words to speak. Check out PK Langley's podcast here and visit her website here. Fade to Gray Podcast is pleased to announce a new series featuring stories of individuals who have undergone or been of part of reparative therapy (sexual orientation change efforts). In this series, the Fade to Gray team strives to listen, engage and understand the motives behind such efforts and the impact it has had (whether that be positive or negative). It's 2020 after all. It's time we asked the questions and allowed people to share their real experience. This stuff has had a real impact on people's lives and it's time we talked about it. Let us introduce you to Darren Calhoun. Darren has been known to describe himself as gay, Black, and Christian. However, he is also a lot of other things such as a speaker, musician, photographer, writer, activist and conversation-starter. He grew up in Chicago and came out as gay at age 17. Not long after, he found himself surrounded by Christians who insisted that being gay wasn’t God’s plan for his life. He then spent the next eight years trying to renounce homosexuality and become heterosexual. Time is spent discussing the years of spiritual abuse that followed and explored the lasting impact this has had. While there is trauma, there is also one vital component that is present throughout and that's resiliency. To learn more about Darren and get involved, check out http://darrencalhoun.com. FYI. Randy shares his journey and what a journey it has been. Randy first came out as gay but then became a very strong defender of the 'ex-gay' movement. Randy shares what it was like working with Exodus and is open and honest and the lasting damage this had on others as well as on himself. Randy has since come back out of the closet and is engaged to become married. This is a vulnerable, transparent and powerful testimony. Visit Thrive LGBT+ online at http://thrive.lgbt. FYI. Not only is Mitch a qualified Transpersonal Counselor and Coach specializing in tapping and dream work, he is a great guy with a fun sense of humor. Living in Australia, Mitch tells us about growing up in the A.O.G church and find out Pentecostalism has experienced the same hang ups and spiritual abuse down under, and how we learn how his sexual orientation lead down the path of "deconstruction" of faith and how learning to love himself set him on the path he's on today as a couch and counselor. If you are interested to know more about Mitch and the work he is doing you can www.mitchgainey.com or check him out here Happy Holidays from all of us at Fade To gray Podcast and the FTG Net. What a great conversation we got to have with Matthew! Per usual with the FTG gang We had questions deep and thoughtful to silly and irrelevant, but Matthew was able to hang with them all! We learn about his conservative christian upbringing and how his natural tendency toward questioning lead him down the trajectory that lands him today as a successful author, and podcaster, where he openly and often explores what it is to be a heretic. Matt is a awesome guy and we encourage you to visit his website www.allsetfree.com to find out more about his media or if your looking for a great podcast check out www.heretichappyhour.com

Whats up listeners?! Droping this episode on Election Day, reminding everyone to get out and vote! In this episode Seth, Chris, and Omar catch up with fellow podcaster Dan Smoldt(Smotz) from The System Is Down Podcast the week before he went on campaign tour with Spike Cohen, the VP candidate for the Libertarian Party. This conversation didn't lack drama as none of the host for FTG are voting for the same candidate, but its all in good fun. Even though we don't agree, and politics are often considered a "taboo" topic the conversation stayed light hearted and respectful. Obviously we discussed the big two partiess that control it all, but also dove into Jo Jorgensen and libertarian polices as well as shed a little light about what Unity2020 ticket is all about. Wether or not you are voting red, blue, green, or gold this election season. The most important thing is you vote your conscience. Also, you don't have to be an ass to the "other side" To follow Dan or The System Is Down Podcast follow this link To find out more about Fade To Gray Podcast and how you can partner with us, or want to be a guess contact us here

Benjamin started his musical career as a classical piano prodigy. By his early twenties, he was an IV heroin and crack cocaine addict. Now sober since June 13, 2016, he journals his journey in addiction and sobriety in his all new piano-raps, which combine classical piano and rap. Benjamin credits his continued success in recovery to his ability to express his emotions relating to his struggle through word and song. His debut album, CLEAN, was released in February 2020. It was produced at Old Mill Road Recording in East Arlington, Vermont. Benjamin is a great dude, we get to know a little more of his story and the influences as well as creative vision for his music. Our friend Derrick Day joined Seth, Omar, and Elizabeth for this fun live interview! Derrick works with Agape Dominion Research, a podcaster and public speaker with Love/Forward Podcast, as well as an accomplished author, and columnist. This dude was GREAT, and this conversation is a lot of fun. We get to know Derrick as he tells us story's of growing up. Moving from the inner city to real America, and the culture shock that brought as a 15 year old young black man, to learning to ski with the local youth group while being "evangelized" into the ministry. We talk about his deconstruction, and the theology he now believes that we are all "gods" and creators of our own reality. This topic rekindles a fun and slightly heated conversation between Omar, and Seth who don't see eye to eye on the possibility of this understanding to be true. Where do YOU stand after hearing Derrick's story? We would love to hear from you! This was our opening interview to start the "Big Tent Revival", our free live online conference, and oh boy did we hit the ground running. we had a full cast on hand but Omar and Chris got most of the questions in because Elizabeth was monitoring facebook comments in real time, and Seth was quietly listening lol. Rick Ross was a truly amazing guest, and an expert on the subject of cults. This episode was extra special to us because of our (Omar, and Elizabeth) past experiences in discipleship schools, and Chris and Seth's experience in fundamental christian religions. This episode includes 20 minutes of bonus material that we recorded after the initial interview where our Patreons were able to ask Rick Alan Ross questions. Rick Alan Ross is the founder and Executive Director of The Cult Education Institute. He is an internationally known expert regarding destructive cults, controversial groups and movements and author of the book "Cults Inside Out: How People Get In and Can Get Out." Since 1982 he has been studying, researching and responding to the problems often posed by controversial authoritarian groups and movements. Samson works and is still involved with a Christian coffeehouse ministry called the "Potter's House." Samson has an incredible story that speaks to resiliency in the face of great adversity. Samson's story is incredibly powerful and is a true survivor in every sense of the word. Samson unpacks his childhood trauma both within the Church and in his home. Further, Samson explores his journey to accept his sexual orientation and his relationship to Christ. This is a very sensitive episode. Samson unpacks the real impact of fallen humanity while emphasizing the hope he has found in God.

Amanda, Seth, Chris, and Omar sit down with one of Seth’s pastors from his youth. Karl Forehand has undergone a transformation in his faith journey and unpacks it in his new book, “Apparent Faith.” In this book, Karl explores his own deconstruction and how his relationship to his children led him to asking the big questions. Karl also runs his own podcast called “Desert Sanctuary” and is part of a collection of Podcasters, including Seth, called “Too Many Podcasters” which present Facebook Live conversations monthly on faith related topics. The FTG crew has a lot of fun catching up with Karl and asking some of the hard questions. Also, Karl’s book was nominated by the Christian Indie Publishing Association!
