Sarala Terpstra is an American plant-based cookbook author, blogger, and avid Francophile. She dreamed of moving to France for over a decade before she finally made it happen in the fall of 2021. Sarala is consciously creating her dream life in France- one of the slow happy days, eating seasonally, and in classic style.  Sarala first fell in love with France on a summer trip to Europe, after graduating from high school. When she returned to the U.S., she enrolled in French classes at university and went on to study abroad in France. After university, she traveled and moved extensively- living in the Caribbean, Europe, China, India, and various states in the U.S.But all the while she was dreaming of settling in France. She found ways to immerse herself in the French language and culture, especially through cooking. After adopting a plant-based diet in an effort to eat healthier and more sustainably- she began experimenting with veganzing classic French recipes. What she found was that when the concepts of French cooking were applied to plants, exciting new flavors and dishes were created. The results were both novel and timeless!Sarala has now written two cookbooks on plant-based French cuisine and can generally be found experimenting in her kitchen in France, perusing the markets for pretty vegetables and antiques, and people watching at cafés for style inspiration. Her academic writing includes a multi-colored array of topics, ranging from “A Thousand Acres: Not King Lear in a Cornfield” for the American Popular Culture Association and “It's Not Easy Being Green, Wal-Mart and Me,” recounting her neighborhood struggle to keep large oaks and tall pines from biting the dust. Her dream came true when she presented and published “God: Myth and Mystery from the Romantics through the Twentieth Century: Informing Global Religious Conflict” in magical Oxford, England. In 2011 Bedford St. Martin's textbooks published “Facilitating Cooperative Learning,” the mantra of her most effective teaching techniques.   Ann Richardson is a writer who believes that life is full of serendipity, which makes it more fun. Ann Richardson's recent book, The Granny who Stands on Her Head, comprises a series of reflections on growing older but also includes some stories from her life. She has written numerous other books, including one about the people who provide hospice care and one about being a grandmother. Ann was born in Washington, D.C., USA, grew up in New York City and has lived with her husband in London, England since 1968. Ann and her husband have two grown-up children and two grandsons. When she needed to find part-time work when her first child was a baby, Ann discovered a love of qualitative social research. Although she has loved writing ever since childhood, she never thought of trying to become a writer when she was young, because she felt she did not have enough to say. She also needed to support her husband, while he was doing a PhD. Much later, she gained a PhD herself. Her career in research involved interviews and focus groups with a wide spectrum of situations and people, including people with learning difficulties and carers for the elderly but also many others. She wrote numerous books and articles from her research and was always recognized as a good writer. Since retiring, she has chosen to write books on new topics as set out below.  This episode is definitely one for the books, especially for those people in the latter years of their lives, beginning to reflect both on their current lives and the coming of the end of life.  Ann likes to think about the what-ifs in life. Ann shared these amazing points in this episode! The story behind the three books she created before The Granny who Stands on Her Head Wise Before Their Time: Ann became close friends with a man with AIDS who was organizing a conference of people with AIDS; she carried out interviews there and put these together into this book. Life in a Hospice: Ann worked in a hospice as a volunteer and realized how strange it was to look after people who were dying. She carried out a series of interviews with people working in hospice care about the nature of their work and its impact on their lives. Celebrating Grandmothers: After she became a grandmother herself, Ann thought it was so interesting that she decided to undertake a series of interviews with grandmothers about the positive and negative aspects of their lives. Ann was asked to write a series of blogs about grandmothers and other matters for an online women's magazine. While doing these, she started her journey in writing The Granny who Stands on Her Head.  This is about the nature of being old:  LINKS AND RESOURCES: Connect with Ann Richardson Buy Ann's The Granny who Stands on Her Head here Connect with Deborah Voll Take the Midlife Quiz Passion and Purpose Digital Workbook

As an atheist who critically thought her way to faith, Wendy Cunningham believes it's important to evaluate where our beliefs about God come from as we consider where we might be mistaken. This is Wendy's first solo book project—she coauthored Success Through Failing—but she's been a writer for as long as she can remember. Her blog, www.gainingmyperspective.com and her podcast by the same name, satisfy her desire to inspire, empower, make people laugh, and share truth boldly. Aside from writing and podcasting, Wendy is an entrepreneur, a wife, and a homeschool mom of three. When they're not traveling, they're homesteading on 84 acres in Middle Tennessee. Wendy grew up as an atheist but after meeting and marrying her Christian husband, she was forced to confront and reflect on her beliefs. Why did Wendy believe God wasn't real? How had she come to that conclusion? And most importantly, what if she was wrong? There are usually two types of people in any audience, and she can relate and speak to both personally. The first is the non-believer, the one denying or questioning the existence of God. The second is the believer, the one confident in a faith they want desperately to bring their loved ones into but may not be sure how to effectively navigate such a conversation. Wendy brings a unique perspective as someone who has stood and argued from both perspectives and who has logically thought her way through the common existential questions and stumbling blocks.

The conversation between Tahmina and David discuss a number of airlines throughout the podcast. The Wellbeing and Career World podcast and guest Tahmina Watson have no association with any of the Airlines or Individuals mentioned within those Airlines.   1)I gave a brief introduction about your background, Can you let our listeners know more about your background? 2) Tahmina, there are so many articles in the news and social media informing of a Pilot shortage in the USA and how airlines are helping expats pilots obtain Visas to work in the USA. Is it so easy what these reports are saying? 3) I want to first ask you about the E3 Visa. There is an article from Business insider about Australian expat pilots having an opportunity to work for Breeze Airways, that article mentions "Australian pilots will be able to work as Breeze pilots under the E-3 work visa program in a little-used but not unprecedented solution to the pilot shortage. Skilled Australian nationals can apply to legally work in the US and regional airlines including CommutAir and ExpressJet Airlines have used the program to recruit pilots from the country. "It's an opportunity to give good, hardworking, well-qualified folks jobs who want to live in the US [and] want to be a pilot for a US airline," Owens said. 4) Are there any Visas available to unemployed/ex-pat pilots to gain access to employment in the USA? 5)Are these Visas expensive and what is the time span from application to setting foot in the USA for work?6) If the reported pilot shortage in the USA is fact, then why not make it easier for expat pilots to obtain a visa from all countries.? 7) What are the first steps do you recommend to a pilot wanting to obtain a visa in the USA? 8) I have some questions sent in from Pilots looking for more information: Which are the effective operational limits to the NIW EB-2 visa ?Is it possible to obtain any visa without any sponsor? Will my application cost large amounts of money? As leaders and business owners, we typically get to handpick our teams. But would your employees choose you to be their leader if given the choice? People become leaders for different reasons. Some have been promoted through the ranks and becoming a leader is the next “logical” step, some have an appetite for power and control, and some are there to serve. Delpha DiGiacom wants leaders to understand one thing: People are working with you, not for you. It's your job to create a collaborative environment where everyone feels fulfilled and has a desire to do their part. Tune into this Powerful at Work Radio episode to learn why creating fulfillment in others leads to greater productivity, rather than just getting the work done… Episode Outline: [01:34] Newsflash, your way is not the best way! [03:26] What's your internal pressure for leading people? [06:20] Why loving your team is key to leading them… [09:44] If you take that perspective of fulfillment and you apply it to working with others, whether employees, peers, leaders, et cetera, then what you'll find is that their experience is richer. [14:24] How to create a culture that engages employees… About Delpha DiGiacom: Delpha DiGiacomo is an accomplished leader with over 20 years of experience in the corporate world. We're happy to continue our conversation with  Corella Roberts in today's episode.  We talk about why she writes about soul care and soul restoration. We talk specifically about a series of posts she wrote over the summer called Seasons of the Soul and so much more. Join us and let Corella encourage you in the Lord.Born and raised in northern Idaho, Corella's love for books and writing developed at an early age as her imagination was her only playmate for miles. After high school, she ventured off to St. Paul, MN where she earned a degree from University of Northwestern and first heard the call to be a missionary teacher. She married her high school sweetheart, Troy Roberts, and they moved to teach in a village of about fifty people in bush Alaska. After seven years, during which time they almost gave up on missions entirely, God saw fit to rekindle their desire to teach in unreached parts of the world, and they moved to Chiang Rai, Thailand. They have two spunky children who love cats and hamsters, they eat cheap Thai food to their hearts' content, and they support the amazing community of missionaries there through teaching and organizing community events. Recently, God has invited Corella to return to her passion for writing, and she published a book, Colliding with the Call, about the literal and spiritual wilderness she experienced in Alaska, and the surprise of finding God's fingerprints all over that part of her story.Find Corella Roberts writing content at:https://linktr.ee/corella.robertsSeasons of the Soul Series:Discover the Season of your SoulThe Spiritual Season of AutumnIs Your Soul in a Spiritual Winter? How to Plant Well in a Spiritual SpringSummer of the SoulFind Corella's book:Colliding with the Call - On AmazonFind Corella on social media at:https://www.facebook.com/corellaroberts/https://www.instagram.com/corella.roberts/Enter the GiveawayInstagram PostList of resources mentioned in episode, suggested reading & social media handles:Dunn Brothers Coffee - https://dunnbrothers.com/Summer Moon Coffee - https://summermooncoffee.com/Follow Coffee Time Conversations, or Robert or Rebecca on Social Media: InstagramCoffee Time Conversations - https://www.instagram.com/coffeetime.conversationsRebecca - https://www.instagram.com/prince_beckRobert - https://www.instagram.com/robertprinceFacebook
