Hey Strangers, #drdisrespect #deadlock #gaming Dr. Disrespect—aka Guy Beahm—Dr Disrespect didn't have a good time playing Deadlock today. Earlier today, the Two-Time announced that he'd be streaming Deadlock, Valve's hero shooter-slash-MOBA. The playtest has been getting rave reviews so Doc felt it made sense to check it out. Unfortunatley, it didn't go as planned. On September 11, Dr Disrespect started up the game and completed the required tutorial. He then tried out a few different heroes in bot matches. Once he felt he got the hang of the "future of multiplayer gaming," he jumped into a real match. ======================================= My other podcast https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCKpvBEElSl1dD72Y5gtepkw ************************************************** Something Strange https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GRjVc2TZqN4&t=4s ************************************************** article links: https://www.si.com/esports/deadlock/dr-disrespect-team-quits https://www.si.com/esports/news/nickmercs-statement-dr-disrespect ====================================== Today is for push-ups and Programming and I am all done doing push-ups Discord https://discord.gg/MYvNgYYFxq TikTok https://www.tiktok.com/@strangestcoder Youtube https://www.youtube.com/@codingwithstrangers Twitch https://www.twitch.tv/CodingWithStrangers Twitter https://twitter.com/strangestcoder merch Support CodingWithStrangers IRL by purchasing some merch. Have you ever encountered something odd, unexplained, or even terrifying while driving on a lonely road at night? If not, you might be in the minority, as reports of encounters with wraiths on fog-covered asphalt are more common than you may realize. Indeed, such reports may elicit a cliché feeling; however, they often come from highly reputable members of the community. In this show, we explore the unexplained creatures and spectral entities that haunt not just roads, but a variety of travel methods. We hear of glowing, smoking skeletons, disappearing train workers, haunted control towers, and much so more. Unfortunatley due to Ben being away this is a Plus+ only audio episode. Locked On Red Wings - Daily Podcast On The Detroit Red Wings
The top line went absolutley nuts in this hockey game. DeBrincat and Larkin had 3 point nights, but none were as impactful as Lucas Raymond who scored his 2nd career hattrick enroute to a 4-point night. Their combined performances forced a huge 3rd period comeback and allowed Detroit to steal a point from the Penguins to keep the Red Wings playoff hopes alive with 3 games remaining. Unfortunatley, Not much else about this game was great. No depth support, defensive errors, a flaccid powerplay and poor goaltending ultimatley led to Pittsburgh getting two points, and controlling their destiny. #LGRWSupport Us By Supporting Our Sponsors!Factor MealsGet started on your resolutions with Factor, so you're ready for the new year. The Compact Disc format was revolutionary, so much potential! And some folks would try to seize this to create THE all-in-one home entertainment console. The Domain continues to grow as Shindo and Jarim make more and more improvements to their society. Offgridders have started to arrive at the edges, hoping to escape the Interior and gain admittance to the Domain. Jarim thinks they present a problem, but as always, Shindo challenges the norm and sees these newcomers as a potential. Unfortunatley for Jarim and Shindo, they attract the wrath of Engine and the Rustraisers, who are planning an attack on the ever-expanding Domain. We also discuss human responses to change, keeping track of characters, character lifespans, empowering citizens, and the effects of The Crown on Shindo. -- Find the author Nathan Ogloff & his book here: nathanogloff.com-- Website: www.fantasticbookspod.com Instagram: www.instagram.com/fantasticbookspod (or follow @fantasticbookspod) Facebook: www.facebook.com/fantasticbookspod Shop: www.etsy.com/shop/FantasticBooksPod -- Published by Goldenrise Media. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/fantasticbooks/message
One of the groups that defined the Motown sound was the Detroit Quartet known as The Four Tops. The group originally called themselves the Four Aims, but changed the name to avoid confusion with the Ames Brothers. The group was composed of Abdul "Duke" Fakir, Renaldo "Obie" Benson, Lawrence Payton, and lead singer Levi Stubbs, four boys who met at Pershing High School and would remain in the same lineup as the Four Tops from 1953 through 1997.The quartet signed to Chess Records in 1956, but did not experience success with that label. In fact they would not find significant success with multiple records including Red Top, Riverside Records, and Columbia Records for the next seven years. What they would gain is a lot of opportunities to polish their act and stage presence with extensive touring. Berry Gordy Jr. convinced them to move to Motown in 1963, initially to record jazz standards and sing backup. At Motown they experienced success in their own right.Reach Out is their fourth studio album, and their biggest selling album. The Four Tops had multiple hits, primarily through the writing of the Motown team known as Holland-Dozier-Holland. Reach Out would be their last album with that songwriting team, as Holland-Dozier-Holland left Motown shortly after this album was recorded. It went to number 11 on the Billboard Top LP's chart. The Four Tops were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1990, and still perform today, with Duke Fakir as the sole original member.Bruce presents this soulful album in this week's podcast. BernadetteThis song was released in February of 1967 and reached number 4 on the Billboard Hot 100. It would be the final top 10 hit for the Four Tops in the 1960's. The song is a plea from the boy to Bernadette to stick with him. Standing In the Shadows of LoveThis single is a heartbreak song about sleepless nights and soul searching for what went wrong. It hit number 2 on the soul charts and number 6 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1967. It is a bit of a reworked song, as the Supremes had a B-side in 1963 called "Standing at the Crossroads of Love."Last Train to ClarksvilleReach Out was a mixture of original songs and covers, and this song made famous by the Monkees is one of the covers. They also included "If I Were a Carpenter," "Walk Away Renee," and "I'm A Believer" on this album. Reach Out I'll Be ThereHere is the signature song of the Four Tops. It was released in 1966 and spent two weeks at the top of the Billboard Hot 100. It alternates between a minor and major key, giving it a Russian feel in the verse and a gospel feel in the chorus according to Lamont Dozier. The writers intentionally put Levi Stubbs at the top of his vocal range to make sure there was a hunger and wailing in his voice. ENTERTAINMENT TRACK:Light My Fire by The DoorsThe Doors appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show was their first and last when they promised to change the lyrics "girl we couldn't get much higher," only to leave them unedited in the live performance. STAFF PICKS:Brown Eyed Girl by Van MorrisonLynch launches the staff picks with this hit single off Morrison's debut album, which peaked at number 10 on the Billboard Hot 100. The nostalgic lyrics which seem tame today were considered too suggestive for the time and were banned by some radio stations. However, it remains popular today, and as of 2015 was the most downloaded and played song of the entire 60's decade. The Letter by The Box TopsRob features a short song with a blue-eyed soul feel. The Box Tops took this song to number 1 on the charts, making it The Box Tops best seller. Joe Coker would cover this in 1970, and take it to number 7 on the charts. The producer overdubbed the song with an airplane sound he located at a local library.Testify by ParliamentWayne brings us an early hit from George Clinton and Parliament before their Funkadelic days. Actually, George Clinton is the only member of Parliament who is recorded on this song. The group was based in New Jersey and the other members were not able to travel to Detroit for the recording. As a result, Clinton is joined by local session musicians and singers to complete the song.Funky Broadway by Wilson PickettBruce closes out the staff picks with a song that Pickett picked up from Arlester “Dyke” Christian. Dyke Christian was living in Phoenix and playing with a group called Dyke & the Blazers. Unfortunatley in 1971 Dyke Christian was shot to death at the age of 27. This is the first charting single with the word "funk" in the title. INSTRUMENTAL TRACK:Groovin' by Booker T. & the M.G.'sWe finish off with an instrumental cover of the ballad made famous by The Rascals. The Detroit Red Wings placed Dylan Larkin, Klim Kostin, and JT Compher on IR on Monday, and recalled Jonatan Berggren, Austin Czarnik, and Zach Aston-Reese from the Grand Rapids Griffins. AND David Perron was suspended 6 games. Despite this, the Wings had to go into Dallas against one of the best teams in the NHL. Given everything going on off the ice, the response and effort by this team was great. Losing 6-3, but down just by 1 at one point in the 3rd thanks to players stepping up and the depth scoring continuing to be a huge strenght. This time Sprong, Veleno, and Berggren were Detroit's goal scorers. Unfortunatley, James Reimer was rough in net, allowing 1 if not 2 soft goals against. The Red Wings win streak has been snapped at 5 games following an OT loss to the Seattle Kraken. Seattle controlled the pace of play at 5v5, but 3 straight power play goals by Gostisbehere (1G,2A), Larkin (1G,2A) and DeBrincat gave the Wings a 3rd period lead. Unfortunatley the Wings couldnt get out of their own away as they fail to close out regulation and OT. #lgrwFollow & Subscribe on all Podcast platforms…

In today's dose of wisdom; Many believe that evil is "necessary" in order to have balance in this reality. This is not the case, we live in a third density reality in limited physical chemical bodies, that is designed for us to learn, grow and evolve in consciousness. The special features of third density is that we have free will to choose our path, we do not however have free will to the consequences of those choices. You see evil is part of the infrastructure of third density to present you with choice, not so that you will choose evil, but so that you will choose integrity, truth and expansion in the face of evil's false temptations. Unfortunatley our planet and humanity is currently (and as far as we have existed) constanty choosing the Negative Evil path, thus why we are in a prison planet. As evil always seeks to control and enslave, whereas Good seeks to empower, educate and honour free will. Good news is this density is all about this choice and it's never too late for you to shift your focus to the positive polarity and be on the self actualization path. Each time you choose your polarity of Good (vs Evil) you unlock or "ascend" into higher levels of consciousness, you increase your seniority of vibration, this is a daily choice because the more you polarize to the Good, an equal and opposite temptation of Evil will be present at all times, there for you to choose, and every time you choose to continue on the path of Good, you expand, grow, your abilities increase as does your spiritual responsibility and maturity. Eventually, when the human race decides collectively to choose the path of Good (at least 51% of us), we will continue to lean and grow and evolve however we will no longer require the option of Evil because we would have transcended that ~ this would be moving into fourth density consciousness that many talk about but are very vague in how this actually works. As I am all about practical wisdom, I lay out the step by step mindset and methods for us to actually achieve this and create the paradise planet where we are not enslaved nor suffering. This is a very very short overview but it should help spark an insight for you. In this episode, I (Henriette Einevoll Husby aka Businesshenriette) speak with Cecilie Lind which is the Founder of The Protein Kitchen. This is Denmarks fastest growing foodproducing company. Together with Morten Storgaard they founded The Protein Kitchen in 2014. Back then, they started by selling recipe books, and now they serve salads, bars and shakes all over Denmark with large retailers like Netto, 7/11 and Meny. Right before corona hit, they were just about to launch their products in the US, but corona shut them down. They have won multiple prices by 7/11 as the best innovators in 2018 and 2019. They also reached a turnover of 15 million danish kroner in 2021 and is expecting to 20 million in 2022.Cecilie has been described as a superhero girl, strong and a fighter. Unfortunatley, she lost her mother to cancer when she was 22 years which triggered her to quit her regular job and then she really went on to fulfilling her dreams. She wants to leave a mark on this world by serving healthy food on-the-go. She's also a personal trainer and have won prestigious prices in nordic body fitness championships. She has a positive mindset and I do dig a bit deeper into her journey and how she made her dreams come true!Cecilie on SoMe:@clindCheck out the videos from the recording@businesshenrietteThis episode is sponsored by: Folkeinvest.no

The reason why Depp and Heard are the tip of the ice-berg Personality DIsorder Part 2Personality disorders ie those whoes behavior is by nature consistently anti-tribal are this way due to a combination of nature (genetics) and nuture. They can be born this way or they can be affected by trauma of different types. For borderlines and psychopaths sexual trauma is especially important. Anything that fractures or does not affirm self esteem either acutely or chronically risks going onto also affect socialisation and both together will then create an individual who's behavior purely due to who they are is tribe incompatible aka personality disorder. The specific way in which anti tribal behavior reduces internal anxiety defines the type of personality disorder.Interestingly the American Psychiatric Association talks about oversly sensitive overly reactive children being a risk factor for developing personality disorder and I think this may refer in some cases to genetically overanxious children but more importantly , becausethis is somethign easily addressed it is referring to is ADHD. Parents often cannot cope and often dread dealing with their own children when they have ADHD and this not helped by an increasingly avoidant educational system who need to be strong armed by assertive parents who have read all the rules and guildelines into providing any useful support. The problem is that kids with ADHD are constantly chastised and scolded and have difficulty learning normal socialisation (without making serious compromises such as taking on the role of the charming misichieve maker who people are entertained by) and also get used to failure as schools often reject them or do not give them adequate learning support. Its important for parents to undersatnd they are getting angry with the ADHD not their kid . However it is the child's self esteem and self pereception that is being damaged . This is the most persuasive argument for discussing medication with parents who understandably do not want their children on tablets but equally do not want to harm the fundamental rewquirments for success in life ie self esteem and socialisation ie tribal living and how well you can do within the tribe.Recently I had to write a report for a 15 year old who had been put by one of the UK's great public schools in the North on a behavioral contract. But he had ADHD. He could not stick to it and was expelled. The school have now lost aginst the parents during formal proceedings and rightly so. The damage to self esteem was incalculable. This directly through discrimination and inderectly through neglect of duty abuse of the child. This is the case if parents and professionals do not properly manage ADHD.The commonest personaltiy disorder is Obsessive Compulsive characterised by individuals being socially awkward and often withdrawn, liable to routine and ritual and perfectionism and hard work. This is likely to be a misclassifaction or at least a duplicate classifcation for more functional Aspergers Spectrum disorder. Even more simply we are all on the emotion/autistic spectrum with females generally shifted left of centre to the more emotional end and males generally shifted right of centre towards the autistic end. The main mediator is the level of exposure to intrauterine testosterone. It means that a female with Aspergers tendencies is even more of an outlier than a male with Aspergers tendencies as the general female poplulation lies more the left than males. Indeed a right shifted narcissit female is especially toxic to the tribe often exactly because they can fly under the radar but they have most access to and responsiblity for raising chiildren and someone who is self serving and likely to be critical and controlling and unable to teach proper attachement and socilaistion to the kids is going to be very damaging to those kids. Furthermore females tend to be the social centres of tribes so a right shifting narcissist will be especially toxic to the tribe. The reason personality disorder exists at all without being selected out by natural selection is that it confers a survival advantage. In times of strife famine or war etc the tribe needs an assertive leader able to make cold calculated decisions. Such as Churchill versus Hitler or Trump versus Putin. (Biden is of course a joke and a plant by the higher powers to be manipulated in an attempted Great Reset). Current society and emphasis on careers values hard work and persistence which is a key trait in obsessive compulsive/right shirters. Also right shifters are more resistant to trauma as they lack the normal emotioanl responses. They are able to pragmatically accept what has happened but their main distress is with the consequences and change in routine caused by the trauma . Hence my suggestion is that you will find a high proprotion of right shifters among refugees as the right shifters were able to remain functional enough to leave their coutnry whereas those closer to the population mean were overcome by stress and so less functional and less albe to leave and seek safety.Society is changing infront of our eyes. Unregulated capitalism and materialism and the destruction of religion morals and ethics and national identities combined with globalisation leading to different cultures being forced into close juxtaposition to one another is leading to increases stress and unhappiness especially in the West which is leading the way in this. Unfortunatley the digital age which selects for binary thinking right shifters who are especially suited to softtware programming has resulted in narcisistic binary thinkers becoming the richest men in the World. The consequence of having intelligent binary thinking narcissists in charge is that they will in the blink of an eye (ie reflexly -hence the personality disorder nature) justify subjugation of the unhappy strife riven population with biometric passports and ultimately computer chipping in a bastardised biblical simile of God creating Man in his image. You will own nothing and be happy is the mantra of the Great Reset.Since peronalit disorder causes suffering to the indvidual and those around them through being antirbal then the defining criteria are relative to the tribe. If we are all turned into subjugated robotic compliers then those seeking collaborative warm human contact would be considered the anti tribal personality disorders as they would be damaging to the binary thinking tribe. You think this is unlikely? Think again. How about those speaking the truth about COVID and vaccines being cancelled and revilled and subjgated by the media as well as the law? Now we know it was mostly lies and vested interest of large pharma and govenerments defining policy by public opinion which was manipualted by mass media and those controoling them. For instance BIll Gates controls the WHO and has interests in Pfizer and the same entity controlling Pfizer also controlls Thomson Reuters the golbal fact checker which was used by Twitter. The end of society as we know it is happening infront of our eyes. How are personality disorders treated? Since they are not ill there is no treatment. However some may have the insgiht that if they want to benefit from what society has to offer then they have try and act agaisnt their nature and integrate more functionally. There exist therapeutic communities who mainly follow the method of putting these people on behavioral contracts exactly because they are responblle for themselves. So if they break the rules such as being voilent or self harming or generally being antitribal they are punished by being excluded from the community for a time or discharged alltogether. Some have come to me stressed by the pressure of society for them to be nicer ie less psychopathic or less narcissistic. Basically they are stressed as no one likes them so they are lonely and running out of victims or work is suffering and they want things to go better. My answer is dont try and act against your nature. It causes stress. Be yourself. Be a psychopath openly .It means that people can engage with you on fair terms. They then know what they are dealing with and are less likely to be damaged. Look at Boris Johsnons multiple relationships and multiple children. Look at his superficial charm yet talk to his ex wife and she is excoriating of him. Close prolonged contact with personality disorder can be devasting as they are entirely self serving and therefore destructive .Indeed the Oxford English dictionary defines ''Evil'' as something wicked and amoral. If you look at amoral it means not moral. If you look up moral it means knowing the difference between good and bad and doing good. If you look up wicked it says something unpleasnat eg an unpleasant wind or something harmful. Therefore by definition in the two golbal classificaiton systems which state personaltiy disroder causes suffering to the individual and those around them lifelong then by their nature they are evil. How does one respond to a personality disorder? Three ways. The first two require knowledge of the spefic antitribal mechanism they are using ie are they a psychopath, are they a narcisist , or a binary thinking micro controller? Are they an insecure attachment seeking borderline ? Ie you have to know the currency of their internal peace. Then you apply fear of losing that currency or reward with that currency. The problem is that in order to that consistently and not be stressed in so doing it has to be in your nature it is not for most of us and generally not in the nature of victims seeking advice on how to deal with a personality disroder then fhe first two options are not practical which leaves the 3rd option of geographical separation.Returning to Depp and Heard. How many witnesses did Depp have give evidence for him? Many. How man did Heard have ? None apart from her sister who clearly was a genetic close match to Heard .

Dreams are something people have been trying to interpret since the beginning of time. Some can be frightening, some are funny and some like the one I had recently are filled with passion. In my most recent dream it was so beautiful because I was making love with my beautiful wife. Unfortunatley, it was just that...a dream. You see, she's in heaven now and I've lost her touch forever. Honestly, that loss of touch can never be replaced and it made me angry I had to wake up from the dream. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/jack-church/support

Nutrition Fables are just as big a tradition as your favorite Fairy Tales. Unfortunatley for you this is because food companies are some of the biggest super marketing ninjas known to humankind. They'll do anything to get you to buy their "No-Fat Potato Chips" (wait potatoes don't have fat to begin with?) to get you to Go Keto (yay Brain Fog!) or to eat just 800 calories a day (...i didn't have anything to do this week anyway...) This is of course all in the name of shuttling to their latest food product or diet plan, and rarely results in any type of sustainable healthy lifestyle. In todays episode the guys take on 3 of the biggest Nutrition fables out there right now, debunk the myths associate and try their hand and making up nutrition fairy tales (which doesn't go so great....turns out neither of us will be writing a children's book anytime soon.) We end by giving you some sustainable nutrition advice that will work in the long term if wether you're looking to lose weight, gain more energy or just be overall more confident in your health! Panic attacks are frightening and frustrating. Unfortunatley, we as a species have evolved to experience panic attacks when our brain or body senses some type of danger. Or, lucky for us (lol) when there isn't any danger at all, and our mind is playing tricks on us *cough* anxiety *cough*. This technique, called floating, allows us to be non-reactive (not ignoring) during a panic attack. Doing this allows the sensations of panic to quell on its own.

Robb Wolf - The Paleo Solution Podcast - Paleo diet, nutrition, fitness, and health
We're back with Q&A #9 with Robb and Nicki. Remember to submit your own questions for Robb and Nicki to answer on a future show here: https://robbwolf.com/contact/submit-a-question-for-the-podcast/ Show Notes: 1. [2:06] Kidney Stones Krisztian says: I've been mostly Paleo for about 5 years now based on one of your piror books. Overall, it has worked well for me, with one exception. I started to develop kidney stones on a regular basis. I finally had them analyzed and they turned out to be calcium oxalate stones. Upon reading up on this condition, it stems from a high amount of oxalate in the diet. Unfortunatley, most of the foods I liked on Paleo happen to be super high in oxalate... spinach, nuts, seeds, dark chocolate, sweet potatoes. The other wammy here is that I was initially avoiding dairy on Paleo which turns out to be worse for stones because one way to counteract high oxalate intake is to match it with high calcium to avoid stone formation. I've since gone back to eating plenty of cheese and high fat dairy in my diet. I'm curious if this is a common issue that you've seen and I'm wondering if this is something that might be helped by going to a keto diet. 2. [5:33] Sugar addiction Kathryn says: Hey Robb, I am really hoping you can give me some insight into why I can't seem to fully recover from sugar addiction. I have had a sweet tooth my whole life, but in recent years I have learned that I have a true addiction to sugar. In the last four years or so, I have studied a lot of nutrition, functional medicine and ancestral health perspectives and gone on a strict paleo diet for months at a time. In almost every way, a clean diet of whole foods makes me feel amazing (better sleep, clearer skin, joints and movement feels better, etc.), except, I become very depressed. It's not a mopey, weepy kind of depressed, it's literally a depression of all feeling, like I feel very little at all. But I do sometimes feel really, really irritable, or sometimes bouts of rage that don’t match the situations they arise in. But most of the time, I just feel blah. I thought this would go away after a couple of weeks or even a month or two of eating clean, but it didn't. In happy or exciting moments, it was like I just couldn't feel those emotions fully. I also noticed that I didn't crack jokes like I usually do or feel like being social. All my feelings were dulled. Even sad ones. And when I did fall off the diet, and eat sugar, I immediately felt cheerful again. To me, it seems that the years of sugar abuse have altered my brain enough that without sugar, I can't feel normal emotions anymore. So my question is concerning healing my brain. Is it possible to reverse these effects? The longest I have gone on a strict paleo diet is three months. I admit it was hard to keep going when I just didn't see myself ever feeling happy again. If it's possible to heal my brain and increase its capacity for proper dopamine signaling again, are there certain therapies or supplements that can precipitate and accelerate that healing? Perhaps I am ignorant of some other factor or mechanism at work here. I would be grateful for any insight or help you can give. Thanks for the incredible work you do to bring to light the truth about human health and nutrition. Notes: Carb 22: https://carbsyndrome.com/nutraceuticals-new/ STEM Talk Episode 69 (David LeMay): https://www.ihmc.us/stemtalk/episode-69/ 3. [11:32] Metabolic Flexibility and Weight Loss/Maintenance Julia says: Robb and Nicki, I am very interested in the concept of metabolic flexibility and eagerly waiting to hear your upcoming lecture on this topic. Intuitively it makes sense that given variation in season and climate that humans would have relied on a menu of macronutrient combinations. My question is: how can developing metabolic flexibility be used as tool for weight loss/maintenance? I have been about 90% ketogenic for the past 28 months; the other 10% would be high carb meals which I have allowed as a metabolically flexible person. I can swing in and out of ketosis with ease; however, I have noticed that if I go through periods of higher carb, it does result in weight gain which is tough to lose even when reentering ketosis. I do crossfit almost daily and practice the 18:6 IF schedule, and I don't notice either of those things affecting my performance. Thanks! 4. [16:31] Low afternoon energy Laura says: Hi Robb and Nicki, Thank you both for all you do! I've been a huge fan since 2010 and admire your relentless pursuit of the truth when it comes to health and nutrition. My question is about my extremely low energy in the early afternoons. I know it is a common complaint, but I feel like I've done everything I can to fix the common mistakes that lead to the afternoon slump, and I also feel like my exhaustion is too extreme to be normal for my age and health status. I'm 32 years old, I eat low carbish (75-100g most days), have toyed with keto, eat mostly paleo with the addition of some dairy and occasional non gluten grains. I do crossfit 3x/week and spend most of my time chasing my 2 year old around. My sleep is good most of the time, and I do not have any major life stressors that effect me currently. No diagnosed health conditions, no rx meds. I had bloodwork done recently, and my doctor was very impressed with the results, especially my blood lipids. A1c was 4.8, C-reactive protein 0.8, no thyroid antibodies present. Fasting blood sugar 78. The only things that were slightly out of range were homocysteine (slightly low at 4.6), Uric acid low at 2.4, serum iron slightly high at 148, and my free T3 was a little low at 2.5. Another Doctor years ago prescribed me naturethroid but I never took it. Ive tried changing my diet in every way imaginable to try to combat a possible hypoglycemic or food sensitivity related slump after lunch. I've eliminated various foods that people can be sensitive to,and ive even tried more carbs in the morning, but that leads to blood sugar imbalance and cravings all day. As a result, my breakfasts and lunches would fall under the keto umbrella, as I feel better when I eat carbs later in the day. The only thing that seems to slightly help is not eating at all, but I just get so hungry! My activity level is fairly high and I don't feel like I'm a great candidate for intermittent fasting at this point. My mom, who has had MS for about 30 years, does not eat all day and only eats dinner because she's says eating makes her tired. I just can't handle not eating at all, and I do feel fatigued and hypoglycemic if I try to skip meals. Thanks for reading and for all you do!! 5. [23:08] Carb test and ketosis Carl says: Hey Robb, I read Wired to Eat while I was pretty deep into a ketotic cycle, so I didn't immediately get to the 7-day carb test. Years of self-experimentation have led me to a relatively low carb (
The tremendous start to the 2018 FIFA World Cup continues. Day 3 saw 4 matches: France 2 - 1 Australia: VAR and goal line technology help to resolve a match between the skillful French and industrious Australians. Iceland 1 - 1 Argentina: When will Messi stop missing penalties? When will the Iceland bubble burst? Not today, that’s when. Denmark 1 - 0 Peru: Peru shattered expectations today, outplaying the clever Danes. Unfortunatley for them, they missed a VAR awarded penalty and couldn’t finish the dinner worth of chances presented by the lacklustre Scandinavians. Croatia 2 - 0 Nigeria: Nigeria never got out of first gear as the experienced Croatians siezed their chances and their luck in a matchday 1 victory. After the American Civil War, almost 4 million african-americans became US citizens. During the following years, the process of Reconstruction was put in place to integrate the millions of freed slaves. Unfortunatley this would not last long, and the reaction against the freed slaves would by the end of the century make the lives of african-americans worse in many ways. In studio to discuss Reconstruction we are joined by Bruce Stuart, professor at the American History faculty at the University of Bergen.
We tried so hard for the original Mark and Sophie from You Know What I Like Podcast – we wanted them so bad and we thought our moxie and street cred was enough. Alas. Luckily for us, some old man from Braveheart (I think Brendan Gleeson?) shipped us over a couple of podcast people from his own private stash. They were sexier and cooler and happy to work for nothing, just like us, so we hit it off in an instant. Unfortunatley the real Mark and Sophie showed up and weren’t happy with us showing their doppelclones the ropes, teaching them how to love, etc. etc. and as a cautionary tale showed us a copy of S Club’s very own Seeing Double, our eyelids taped to our foreheads as they administered drops of something milky to our human eyes. “We’ve learned our lesson!” we cried; deaf ears, ladies and gentlemen. Deaf ears. Anyway, on those occasions where we were allowed to blink our brains committed one or two good things to mind. WHAT AM. Featuring: some adult views, some jokes for the dads, a smelly doorag, a special vintage and a very very quick fire, oh yes, a ha.
In our Jesus is _____ series we will get to hear exciting stories of how God is working in the lives of Teesside Vineyard. This week we will look at the story of Ric and Terry, for many years as a family they have served our Church and Thornaby. In this interview, we unpack Ric and Terry’s story of trust and obedience through ill health and uncertainty. ** Unfortunatley for some reason we couldnt record the questions (They are typed up below) ** Elijah: Please share with a quick 2minutes of how you met, where you married and how many people make up the Dudley clan?Elijah: Today is titled Jesus Is Healer. Please can you unpack why that statement might be so relevant to your strory?Elijah: A quick Q) What are your thoughts on if God can still heal today? Have you ever seen a person be miraculously healed?Elijah: Can you share with us about recent events? What happened, how did you feel and how did you manage to just trust during those times?Elijah: Ric you said something profound in the middle of this. You said "We want to set an example to our kids, that even in the middle of the storm, we want to be obedient and trust." Where does that faith and certainty come from? Can you explain thatElijah: What would you say to people today who are perhaps are wanting some sort of healing, or know people who do?
I can’t believe summer is almost at a close again. Just one more week and I’ve already seen Christmas decor in some of the stores! While fall is probably my favorite season, it is also the pre-cursor to the holiday season and the inevitable stress that comes with it. Today, I have with me Greg Schweitzer Director of Stress Reduction Resources who will be talking about one VERY simple solution for keeping stress at bay – ANY time of year! One Simple Stress Solution – Part I Hey Greg! Thanks for being here today! For most people, managing stress is a HUGE issue, so I’m sure this will be a popular episode. But before we continue, can you tell us a little bit about yourself and your background? I feel very fortunate that I found meditation 43 years ago. At the time, I was a stressed out Industrial Engineer working for Kraft Foods in the Lehigh Valley. One evening, a friend invited me to join him at an introductory lecture on Transcendental Meditation®. I liked what I heard at the lecture and decided to give meditation a try. I’ve been meditating every day since – usually 15 – 20 minutes – and it’s changed my life, maybe saved it. Ok, thank you for that. So let’s just jump in here. First, since you teach people how to meditate, can you explain exactly what it means to meditate, and then specifically, how it might impact a person’s stress? There are many styles of meditation. Today, I call what I teach Effortless Meditation™ (EM). During the meditation, your mind begins to settle down, becoming quieter. When the mind gets quiet, the body begins to rest deeply. The deep rest during EM melts stress away, it releases the pressure and tension inside. One of the things I really like about your program is that you make meditation so simple. I know a lot of people have heard about meditation and some have tried it and get discouraged because they can’t seem to “empty their mind”. What do you say to people when they tell you that? We don’t have to try to empty or quiet our mind, because it is already quiet but not on the conscious thinking level (the surface of the mind.) An illustration helps; the ocean is turbulent on the surface – lots of waves especially during a storm but even then, the ocean is quiet and peaceful at its depths. With a good technique and good instruction, you can learn to dive inside the mind and EFFORTLESSLY experience a calm, peaceful mind. That’s what I teach people to do. This meditation practice is effortless – that’s why I call it Effortless Meditation. Everyone is successful with it. In my 40 years of teaching, no one has ever said that it doesn’t work. OK Greg. Unfortunatley, we are running out of time! We only have 5 minutes here, and I’d love for you to share some of your success stories of how meditation has helped in different areas of people’s lives. So I guess what we’re going to do is to split this into two episodes! Be sure to tune in next week to hear all about what meditation can do for you! And in the meantime, if it’s already peaked your interest, please feel free to contact Greg on his website at: www.stressreductionresources.com, on my website: www.supersimplehealthy.com. or you can find him at the Twin Ponds Integrative Health Center right here in the Lehigh Valley! Until next time: Keep it simple. Be Healthy.

Did you know that money can buy happiness? A recent study published in "Psychology Today" shows just that. Kurt and Steve discuss the ins and outs of this study and how money certainly can buy happiness...up to a point. Continuing off of recent episodes, Kurt and Steve cover how we can overcome objections before they ever occur in the first place. This concept is called "inoculation." The term comes from the medical field, where patients are given a weak form of a virus so that their body can develop an immunity to it. This same concept happens on the pscyhological level. If we can introduce a weak form of the objection to our prospects, they will be better prepared for when the real one comes along at a later date. For example, do most of your prospects end up looking for more bids from competitors? Or do they end up getting serious resistance from friends and family? Letting them know very subtly that this will happen beforehand helps them avoid the shock and disappointment that will later surface. They'll think "hey, you know what? He told me that the competitors would say this, or that my family would think that." This even applies when raising children. Unfortunatley we know that at some point kids will be exposed to and given the opportunity to take drugs. Pretending this won't happen just increases the chances that they will be influenced by a drug dealer and not by you as a parent. Letting them know in advance "hey Jr, at some point somebody is going to offer you drugs. If you say know they'll call you chiocken, they'll make fun of you, etc. But just say no no matter what and come talk to me about it. It's okay." You can't, nor should you, inoculate against everything. Just pick the two or three most common objections your prospects have and presolve them with stories, examples, statistics, and testimonials!
n general, average income is the single most important factor that determines consumer preferences to spend on transport or to buy private vehicles. However, lower income cities such as Kuala Lumpur, Vilnius and Athens are among the top ten cities with the highest ratio of passenger car ownership in the world. In these cities, passenger cars are a necessity due to inadequate transportation infastructure. Unfortunatley, poor quality vehicles tend to flood these cities, leading to air pollution and traffic.
Unfortunatley we've had to edit the content on this episode at the last minute, we were planning on covering the new releases as usual but, much to our shock and dismay, Fast & Furious actor Paul Walker was killed in a car wreck yesterday afternoon. While we will still be covering this week's releases we thought it better to remember the career of yet another actor that we've lost far too young. Paul Walker1973-2013

"Please Please Me" is the second single released by The Beatles in the United Kingdom, and the first to be issued in the United States. Both its recording history, and its release record, are complex and often confounded. We'll shed some BDJ light on it here..... RECORDING HISTORY: Lennon first conceived "Please Please Me" as a bluesy, slow tempo song. Lennon recalled: "I remember the day I wrote it, I heard Roy Orbison doing "Only the Lonely", or something." When George Martin first heard it (as per Anthology documentation, usually assumed to be at the "Love Me Do" re-make session on 11 September) he found that - in his opinion - it "badly needed pepping up" and he asked The Beatles to consider making major changes to it, including increasing its tempo. The tradional story has it that PPM was brought back into the studio on 26 November 1962, when its arrangement had been radically altered, and it took 18 takes to record what George Martin immediately predicted would be their first major hit. Unfortunatley, I think that this story line is not supported by the facts: On Anthology I, a PPM version appears that had been thought to be lost: an early version, dated September 11. Now, we can all listen to this September 11 version, and confirm that it is very much like the final version of November. It is as fast as the released version, it just lacks the Lennon mouth organ intro and backing vocals. Obviously, it does not make sense that George Martin would have asked for an even faster version than the September 11 track (or why he would call the November version a 'hit' and the very similar September 11 version a 'miss) ! So what really happened ? Here's a litte fact finding: the Beatles actually played Please Please Me to George Martin on September 4 th ( so a week earlier) but - being a 'demo' - it was probably not recorded. This is confirmed in a Ringo Starr interview: "On my first visit in September we just ran through some tracks for George Martin. We even did Please Please Me. I remember that, because while we were recording it I was playing the bass drum with a maraca in one hand and a tambourine in the other." This must have been the slow - Roy Orbison - version. A week later (Sept 11), the Beatles came back for a second attempt to record Love Me Do (with Andy White on drums); they also played and recorded Please Please Me (now in the fast version), in an attempt to dissuade George Martin from releasing How Do You Do It. This is the Anthology version, which probably has Andy White on drums (does he receive rolyalties for the Anthology release ??). PPM needed only minor polisihing up for the November recording of the PPM album (with Ringo on drums). REMIXING HISTORY PPM was mixed in mono for the single and the mono LP. A new mix was made for the stereo LP, which differs only in the vocals (e.g. the fumbling of the lyrics in the final verse). It is usually believed that no stereo version of the single mix exists, but there is one in the BDJ vaults....... As usual, Capitol added reverb to the US release, but otherwise the version is the same as the UK version. US RELEASE HISTORY The single was initially released in the US by Vee-Jay Records, with "Ask Me Why" on the B-side; it failed to make much impact in the US, but when re-released by Capitol there on 3 January 1964 (this time with "From Me to You" on the B-side) it reached number three in the US Hot 100. THE BDJ Remix This remix is in true stereo; the PPM LP version is in the well-known 'vocals left- instruments right' stereo mode, which makes for awkward listening. Both the Remaster's LP stereo version and the stereo version of the single were used to create this new remix. This remix showcases the progress The Beatles had made as recording artists in a few weeks; just listen to Ringo's (quite complex) drum patterns, and Pauls' 'walking bass' in the middle eight. George's intro on guitar is obliterated by Lennons' mouth organ, and we don't hear much of George's guitar at all; according to the sound engineer, he started out by playing the intro riff all through the song, until someone told him to 'shut-up'. Fortunately, we can now hear him in the backing vocals. Enjoy the Remix !
Calendars are useful tools. They can help you to get organized so that you can accomplish your work and enjoy your life. Unfortunatley choosing from the dozens of calendar systems on the market can be an overwhelming experience. So where do you start? Listen as Barbara guides you through making this personal choice so that you can choose a calendar format that "fits your style" and how you can adapt it for your needs and preferences.
The first recorded session of No reply ('Take 0') has a more Rock & Roll feel to it than take 1 and the released versions. Unfortunatley, the take 0 is incomplete, and the vocals are not quite OK at some places. So, the BDJ engineers set to have the best of both worlds, and combiend the instruments from take 0 with the vocals take 0. NB: The intro is from the actual take 0.
