It's the second instalment of the PON Road Show! With Ryan on the road covering the WHL Playoffs, he enlists the PON Black Aces Simon, TSN 1040's Stu Walters and Grant to sit around the hotel room and discuss this week in hockey. The biggest news (for Canucks fans) is the signing of Brock Boeser. Brock's NCAA season finished Friday night and by Saturday morning, he was a signed Vancouver Canuck and made his debut in hometown against the slumping Minnesota Wild. The Brock hype has begun and they discuss what this means for the Canucks, their youth movement and the rebuild. They discuss Willie D's future with the Canucks. Grant makes a solid case to keep him around based on his positive development with the Canucks and the young kids on the team. Has his tough love and forcing the kids to earn their spots finally paying off? Is it time to cut him loose or keep him around when he's needed most? They also discuss Ottawa Senators owner Eugene Melnyk's comments about Sidney Crosby and his regular comments speaking against his own players and their opponents. Are Melnyk's comments a positive or a negative for the fans, the team and the players? Or is it a distraction and a cause of concern? Leon Draisaitl also comes up. He is leading the Oilers in scoring behind Connor McDavid and has become a HUGE part of the Oilers roster. They discuss his development and the different approaches taken with Draisaitl compared to Ryan Nugent-Hopkins. Finally, they discuss Brad Marchand's amazing season with the Boston Bruins. Going from noted cheap shot artist to Hart Trophy candidate, what changed? Will it last? And what does this mean going forward now that the Bruins are slowly becoming his team? If you're a $5 or more Patreon backer, head on over to the PON Patreon Page for "5 Minutes For Paying" as the boys discuss life on the road and movies that get you sucked into watching no matter what you're doing. The band is back together! Well, except Dave, but Ryan, Geeta and P Mac are all in the same room again! They're talking about the 2nd round of the WHL Playoffs and the Kelowna Rockets and the Victoria Royals' series that Ryan was covering. They touch on Andrew Shaw's use of a homophobic slur towards an NHL referee and gestures that got him both suspended and fined. They talk about the severity of the suspension and why it's necessary in this day and age. They also look at Thatcher Demko's signing with the Canucks. There was some concern the hot shot Boston College goaltending prospect and 2nd round Canucks draft pick would not sign with the team and leave egg on the face on GM Jim Benning. They look at his summer plans and where he will wind up in the Canucks' system next season. The gang looks at the Philly fans and the wild and unfortunate game 3 in Philadelphia as the Flyers and Capitals come together to calm a hostile crowd! Finally, they look at Jonathan Drouin's amazing turnaround in Tampa. From being the black sheep of the organization. Sitting out the season after demanding a trade and off ice behaviour problems to playing a solid 200 foot game, the type of game Jon Cooper and Steve Yzerman wanted from him all along. Enjoy!

Featuring PON's black ace Stu Walters (TSN 1040, WHL on Shaw), Ryan and Grant, they set up to record as the Blues and Blackhawks head to overtime. They look at the new big six year contracts in Toronto for Kadri and Rielly, what this means for the older Leafs and the pro's and con's of these long term deals. They also look at Henrik Lundqvist's eye injury in Game 1 vs Pittsburgh. They also talk about Arizona Coyotes' firing their GM, what's needed to get them over the top and out of their rebuild mode and the new coach and GM in Ottawa. The Canucks' offseason comes up again, the Sedins' fantastic leadership and just what is needed to help develop the young kids and turn them into the leaders and professionals that they are. There's also a surprising amount of talk about Eric Brewer! Enjoy!
