Better Days is a Chinese film that centers around a young girl studying for her finals while trying to survive the relentless attacks by bullies at her school. When she meets another outcast he promises to guard her from her attackers. It takes an interesting look at bullying and one in which we definitely had varying views on it. On our watch list are five films: Sound of Metal, Minari, Judas and the Black Messiah, Nomadland, and Dick Johnson is Dead. While all have vastly different narratives and topics, we managed to find similarities that made these films so great and differences that weren't so great. So tune in for this week's episode.
